[Thread PL: 198,102 | Mazoku Wrath (x18P) Active! Current PL: 3,565,836!] [Day Pass from being Beelzebub's student in use.]
The Quiet Plains were, as one might expect, incredibly quiet. Though it was quiet, there was something brewing. The Mazoku Caste's leader had returned to the world of the living, if only for a short time. He was scouting out his homeworld for his true return, and it was time to check on the few allies he had who still drew breath. From what little information he could gather, there was apparently a pack of outcast Namekians somewhere near a small hill known as Nail's Rest; named after a heroic Warrior Caste Namek who sacrificed himself to save the entire planet. The details were incredibly fuzzy, causing most to cast the tale off as mere legend. Xylo arrived at the hill, his eyes scanning the landscape. It seemed he was alone for the time being. If he had to guess, that might change in the near future. He took this moment of solitude to simply wait. He sat down at the top of the hill, leaning against the Ajissa tree that grew in the center of the grassy bump.
Short opener, but it still serves its purpose! Harp Sax and any other blood relatives of Xylo, come on down!

Harp was the leader of the Namekian outcasts, and his voice was clear yet quiet as he and the others in the cave under Xylo's tree began to plan their outlook for the day. "Alright men, Today is a day where we continue to look for recruits that wish to defy the Saiyans. Half of us will look for recruits, and the other half will look for a way to revive my father. Any questions?" There was silence, until someone raised their hand and took a Demon Wave right to the face.
"Fool. you still have not learned to question me. Once my father returns, we are to fight alongside him and push these filthy monkeys that dare invade our planet off this world for good." Cracking his knuckles, he'd point towards the exit and move through the crowd, seperating them into two halves. "Half one, go search for recruits, now. Pianoi, you take charge. Do NOT let the Saiyans, under any circumstances, or even the Guru himself know of our operation."
The first half exited the cave, moving slowly and carefully away and taking off into the sky. The other half would exit the cave, which had Harp in charge of the group. Upon exiting the cave, he'd feel a weird shiver down his spine. Yet the shiver was... familiar. Father..? While the mutated slug froze, another piped up and asked him if he was alright. An immediately gruff and intimidating voice resonated from his throat near instantly. "Go, I must check something out for myself. Accordi, you're in charge of the group until I return."
With that, the other group of Namekians would depart and Harp would fly towards the source of what was going on. He couldn't sense ki, but he damn well knew what was giving him the shivers if guessing right. Landing close by, he'd freeze at the sight of Xylo. "........ Father?" His voice had suddenly gone quiet, and if the older Namekian was his father, would bow on one knee with respect.

[Sax's Thread PL: 1200] [Viola's Thread PL: 300]
All was quiet... For a manner of speaking. Off in the distance, Sax had been experimenting with her musical ability as always and they were getting quite into it. At this point, much like many composers and musicians, they were best left to their own devices unless they said otherwise.
Young Viola knew this well, having been with Sax since his birth, having also met with Sax's twin brother Bassoon on occasion (when the rotund goofball wasn't off trying to eat something silly, anyway). To that end, Viola wanted to have a little adventure around the area while he waited. 'Hmm.. Now what did Sax say about controlling my energy to fly.. Push down, or pull up?' The youngster furrowed his brow and puffed out his cheeks in deep thought, hardly watching where he was going... Bumping right into Xylo! "Oof-- Oh whoops! My bad, my bad! Sorry!" The little Namekian would've fully tripped over too, had he not suddenly floated about 3 feet off the ground. Looks like he was getting the hang of it slowly. "Oh wow, so its both push down and pull up! Flying is awesome!!"

Shhhish. Without warning, an extremely miniscule quake hit the immediate vicinity, right where the three Mazoku Clan Namekians happened to be interacted. The sudden seismic activity is followed by a fat green ball of goof bursting through the ground. It's ASS, and mounds of dirt are still clinging onto his teeth as he jumps out of the absurd tunnel. How he got here was anyone's guess, and with basically everyone in the area being at least a teensy bit familiar with Bassoon, they would know that asking the strange warrior would provide no clear answers. In fact, it would most likely only provide a steady stream of increasingly deeper questions.
"Oh, hi daddy! Hi Heart! Hi Crayola! You are flying now, that is good! I wish I could fly." Having just chewed his way through a few hundred meters of the planet's dirt, all of this is a little garbled, but that didn't seem stop the simpleton from sounding extremely excited as he followed the floating child's example and ran into Xylo, beefy arms extending around the elder Namek. "Welcome back, dad! Ass and Sax and other Mazoku people have missed you." He sounded sentimental, as he let go of his father, grinning up at him with the stupidest of expressions. "How was the sky hotel?"

It seemed that things were never calm on this planet, at least not nowadays. Xylo's brow-ridge raised at the sound of an explosion. Someone had fired an energy wave; a weak one for sure, but it felt eerily familiar. A group of Namekians took to the skies, increasing the Mazoku Lords curiosity even further. Had he found the outcast group he'd been told of? Before he could even stand, his eyes caught the sight of a mutated Namekian; not just any mutated Namekian however, it was his son!
Xylo stood up, his eyes narrowed at Harp. It'd been ages since he'd seen the Namekian. Memories of vaporizing Tooba entered the Namekian's mind. Instead of the usual scowl, Xylo smiled warmly. "My boy..." The younger Namekian knelt down in respect, causing Xylo to chuckle. "No need for formalities now, Harp. I'm not even technically alive!"
Before the Namekian could explain, he'd feel a small body bump into his back. He turned, being introduced to a very apologetic young Namekian. Xylo smiled again. "No need to worry, boy. It's no trouble at all!" He was about to ask the childs name, but a sudden rumble stopped his words in his throat. His eyes scanned the surrounding area in worry. Was something assaulting them? It was revealed quite quickly that this was not the case, as Bassoon, the plumpest of Xylo's children, had popped out of the ground.
As the meaty child gripped his father, Xylo could do little but laugh. "Ass! It's always a pleasure to see my little boy. Find any good grub lately?" Bassoon questioned how well Xylo's trip had been, to which Xylo responded bluntly. "It's pretty damn terrible. Still not done with my visit though. I'm learning some things from a demon. He gave me this jacket! Once I'm done with all that, I promise I'll stay for good."
It seemed the crew was almost assembled. The strongest of his children were here, except for a certain musically-inclined one. "Hey, where's Sax? He's still around, right?" He fell silent for a moment, ears listening intently for any noticeably musical tones. His ears twitched not a moment later. Sax was nearby, and he was playing the saxophone he'd been given all those months ago.
Taking a mighty deep breath, Xylo would shout across the hill towards his son. "SAX! GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW BEFORE I COME OVER THERE!"

Musical tones faintly echoed through the air, making Harp look around at first before he realized it was probably Sax playing that damn instrument. His father chuckled, speaking of how he wasn't technically wasn't alive; which brought confusion from the boy before he saw the halo above his father's head. He cursed himself for believing for even a second he had finally revived his father somehow.
A quake shook the ground, Harp standing up and almost immediately getting in position to charge a Demon Wave, the ki on his arm glowing as the two arms fell in position before he realized it was once again his fat brother. Disabling his energy wave, he watched the other child embrace their father. Xylo proceeded to laugh and ask how the grub was, to which harp couldn't help but flinch mentally. We're supposed to be a force to be reckoned with, yet I have a brother that eats everything except his family and other nameks and a brother that toots nonstop on that god damn instrument.
He wasn't left to his own thoughts for too long, and Harp jabbed his thumb in the direction of Sax a bit away. "He's over there, father. I can hear his instrument." Plugging his ears by putting his hands over them, it helped to shield his voice from the thunderous boom that was their parent's shout. "You mentioned being trained by a demon..? And you'd better stay for good once you're done, we have to take back our home from the Saiyans."

Out of the shadow of one of the few trees on the quiet plains stepped a figure after Xylo's booming shout for Sax, but it was not the musically inclined Namekian. Instead, a very pale skinned Namekian with a yellow tint to it all stepped into view - a rather tall fellow, but with a thin build. In one hand, he held a long, slightly twisted staff, which he planted into the ground next to him - a twisted mockery of a dragon clan staff. His robes were plain and simple, but on the collar visible for them all was the symbol of the Mazoku clan. On his face, the newcomer wore a friendly smile, though he looked very tired with the heavy black outline under his eyes.
This figure was Etul, yet another of Xylo's children. He had been with Harp's group for a little while now, though he never really went out on patrol with them - he was unable to fly or sense energy, making him more of a liability than a help in the field. Not to mention that trying to get Etul to fight someone was an exercise in futility, for he lacked any sort of combat capabilities. His strengths lay in very different areas. The quiet one had not spoken a single word when he joined Harp and the others - in fact, chances were they didn't even realize that he could speak. Yet when he saw Xylo there, with his shining halo above his head, Etul gave his father a nod and spoke a single word. "Father."
Nothing more was needed. This one word expressed the affection he held for the Mazoku Clan's true leader more than any other could. It was for him that Etul had traveled to this world to learn the secrets of healing, and for him that he had died due to Realigner Red - and he'd do it all over again without hesitation. As he stepped closer, his staff making no sound on the grassy ground, before he ended up standing next to Harp. His impulsive and strong brother that was doing everything in his might to return Xylo to life, yet who didn't seem to appreciate his family nearly as much as the quiet Namekian did - Etul couldn't help but smile at the antics of his rotund brother and the small Namekian that usually accompanied Sax.

Unaware of what was going on nearby, Sax continued playing their instrument. They momentarily paused each time they heard a noise that put their music out of tune, but they were still in the zone. They had to finish this little jam session or it would've bugged them for ages!
At least, that would have been the usual result had they not heard a very familiar voice. Their father; Xylo. Without warning, with a comical elastic snap to attention, Sax spun around and full on launched their Mazoku Custom Saxophone into the air towards the slowly growing group, with such alarming force that it made (strangely pleasant) random noises as it flew.
Sax themselves however, would bust out into a full on sprint, with enough speed to kick up quite the respectable dust cloud. Taking a note of where their instrument was flying, Sax jumped upwards, suddenly elongating and increasing in size. From there, they would effortlessly catch the instrument before it could crash into the ground or cause a fuss before just as abruptly shrinking down to their normal size with a grin wide enough to rival their previous giant form if happiness could be quantified in size.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD"
Without any restraint, Sax attempted to affectionately constrict Xylo in a serpentine hug... This kid sure did have creative uses for Namekian elasticity!
Viola was about to cheerfully greet Bassoon, Etul and Harp... "WAAAH!!" Unfortunately, Sax's sudden wildly unpredictable entrance caught him so far off guard the little one almost fully retreated into his hat out of sheer surprise!

"See daddy- people missed you! Even Heart, and Crayola, and sibbyling that's never talked before now did." Ass' bassy voice bellowed with jovial energy, as he watched his twin pull their father into a huge hug. The young Namekian was glad to be reminded that as different as they could be, he and Sax definitely had an impact on each other's lives. And in the boy's simple mind, that was amazing to think about.
"And yes, I have found lots of grubs. Many kinds! They all tasted nice." He digs a hand into his pocket, taking care not to accidentally hit the spooked Viola. Within a matter of moments, he pulls out a handful of beetle larvae. "The grown ones are tasty too. I liked roasting them. Thank you for asking!" Ass smiled at everyone who had gathered, from his father to his adopted nephew, clearly showing his appreciation for their little gathering. After that though, his energy seemed to take a major hit, even if his silly overtones remained intact.
"So daddy, if you're not alive again yet, does that mean that you have to back to the demon train-y person after this? Will you ever be re-alived for real? Can you stay with us for forever next time?" Ass spoke rapidly, his words garbling together. With two curious eyes, he looked back at his father, smiling at him as he awaited answers. "When you're back, you can fight the mean, strong people that Hart doesn't like!" He suggested with a giggle. "That way he'll be less grumpers, and everyone in our family will be happy."

Xylo laughed heartily as the strongest of his children constricted him like a snake with his hug. Sax might have been the most unassuming of the bunch, but perhaps that added to his strength in some way. Not many would expect a scrawny warrior to be able to toss them to the wayside like a clown after all! "Sax my dear boy! It's been too long! I hope my gift has been treating you well. Sounds like you've gotten better already!"His eyes shifted to the side, catching sight of another child of his. He thought Etul had died as well; seeing him alive and well again was an incredibly welcome sight. He smiled warmly at his boy, hugging him as tightly as he did the others. "You've gotten stronger, Etul. It's good to see you again."With introductions out of the way, Xylo decided to get straight to business. He was about to speak, but his own son interrupted him. Ass shot off question after question, to which Xylo responded with a laugh. "Slow down boy, you're gonna tire yourself out!" He pat his thickest child on the back, before answering his inquiries. "Yes, I will have to return to my Demon Teacher, yes I will be alive for real, quite soon in fact. When I return, we will kick those Saiyan's off our planet for good! How's that sound?"With the question and answer portion of the meeting finished, Xylo turned to the whole crowd. "Speaking of those Saiyans, I was hoping you kids might have some information on their operation. I don't have much time to do investigations of my own, so any knowledge you have of the people who are 'protecting' our planet would be helpful.""I believe I may have the information you seek, Father."From the sky, a dry, raspy voice would speak. The owner of this voice was a fellow Namekian, and one of Xylo's youngest children. His body was long and somewhat thin, yet it held considerable power. He wore the traditional purple Gi of his race, covered by a long white cape. The headfin, common in most of Xylo's children, was obscured by a similarly colored turban on his head. He landed next to the group, his eyes scanning over his siblings. "Pathetic," he spat at them. "You call yourselves children of our father with such pitiful strength?! I could squash the four of you like bugs without a second thought.""Now now Digeri, there's no need for hostilities," Interjected Xylo. "They may not be your equals in strength, but they excel in other categories all the same. Take Sax for instance-- He might not be able to destroy a planet, but he makes up for it with his keen mind. Your brother Harp is a brilliant strategist, and Bassoon is..." He turned his attention to Ass, narrowing his eyes slightly, before continuing. "He's the sturdiest of all of you. He could probably eat an entire energy wave if he felt like it."Digeri clicked his tongue, jerking his head to the side to avoid eye contact. "My apologies, Father. I did not mean to insult them so..."There was an awkward silence hanging in the air for a moment, until Xylo finally spoke once more. "Perhaps you can repay your debt by telling me all the information you've acquired. You said you knew a bit about their operation, yes?"His head snapped back to Xylo, nodding in a rigged manner, almost like a machine. "Yes, I've learned a bit. The leader of the operations here is a female, and it seems she is what they call a 'Super Saiyan'. As far as I can tell, she will be the only threat." Xylo nodded sagely. "Well, that's something... Anyone else got anything? I need to learn all I can before I return to Hell."

Sax decided to restrain their father with his hug, something he found amusing from the looks of it alone. Their father spoke to Sax and Bassoon, and internally he was a bit sour that their father had to return to their demon teacher. The mutated namek however brightened, when hearing that once he returned they'd kick the damn super-saiyan and her crew offworld. Taking a step back one Didgeri arrived, Harp's temper rose slightly when he called them weak.
Their brother's words were slightly sarcastic, making him internally roll her eyes before Harp's harp tumbled out of his back pocket, the namekian almost instantly picking it up and beginning to play. The soft melody filled the air; the eyes of the strategist closed as each chord produced a wonderful sound, entwining with the tune it made. When he noticed what was going on, he almost automatically tried to hide the instrument behind his back.

Grateful for his father's words, Etul returned the hug tightly. To be useful and praised by his father - that was why the young Namekian was even on this planet to begin with. To be useful to Xylo and the Mazoku Clan, that was his purpose. The kind, caring smile of the pale Namekian said it all - just how much hearing those words meant to him. His time on Namek had not been wasted - he had grown stronger in his father's eyes, AND he had succeeded in his mission. Sadly, his little student wasn't here right now, or he'd introduce the tiny dragon Namekian to their kind and strong father now - but his student had his own duties to attend to for now.
Then, they were joined by another one of their siblings, though this one illicited a frown from Etul instead of a smile. He had interrupted them so rudely without even allowing for an answer! ... Not that Etul would've said much, but Harp might have. Or even Sax. Bassoon wasn't one for tactics, sadly, but his rotund brother was still dear to him. Xylo himself came to the defense of his children, though, and Etul couldn't help but smirk at Digeri because of it. The strongest of the children he might be, but strength alone wouldn't win this war against the monkeys. Not that the healer cared much for the war, but his family did. That was enough reason to get involved, even if he wasn't able to fight.
At Xylo's question, though, Etul had to shake his head with a mournful expression. Not only was he unable to really form questions to ask to the Namekians on the planet if he wanted to, he also lacked flight or the strength to beat answers out of people - all he could do is stay at home base and treat the injured. Like those that accidentally questioned Harp or disagreed with him, they usually needed medical attention... And speaking of their fearless leader, apparently he had just accidentally revealed his instrument and couldn't help the temptation to play a little bit. With a chuckle, the Mazoku raised his staff - pointing at the ground on the hill they were on, a bolt of yellow lightning shot out of the twisted piece of wood, materializing an ornate table and chairs for everyone - and of course, an extra large and sturdy chair for Bassoon, and an extra large and beautiful one for their father. With another quick zap, Etul even materialized some grub for Bassoon on the table, too.
With a quick bow, Etul signalized to the others that they could take a seat before discussing further - with a third zap, the Mazoku materialized a jug of extremely clear, fresh water, together with multiple glasses as well. Finally, he used his telekinesis to pull the chairs out slightly for everyone - even their more unpleasant brother Digeri. He was still family, even if he was arrogant family. And family always stuck together.

"Ah, but of course, what did you expect from the Namekian musician to ever exist!? The one with the best, I repeat, best instrument of all time?!" Letting go of their father, Sax stood triumphantly, in a rather awkward, goofy pose with their right arm wrapped all the way around the aforementioned instrument and despite the level of silliness, Sax pulled the pose off pretty well... Were they practicing that? "Ohoho, no, no. You haven't heard anything yet, mark my words, pops!" The spindly Namekian moved their visor scouter up and gave Xylo a determined wink. Youthful souls were nearly always indomitable in their pursuit to impress the ones they looked up to and make a mark on the world.
Eventually, Viola would peek out from under his hat and wander over to stand behind Sax, clearly feeling much safer next to his caretaker. He would periodically look out from behind Sax's leg towards Xylo... The obviously older Namekian seemed nice enough, and Viola was decently acquainted with Bassoon at the very least, but the sheer amount of people made the tiny one nervous.
At Digeri's arrival, Viola would tug on his hat once again, averting his gaze from them. Sax on the other hand, rolled their eyes and held their head to the side. "Really now?" With a disappointed scoff, Sax waved their hand in a dismissive gesture towards Digeri. "Listen up junior, and listen good. You don't wanna know what happened to the last jerk that acted the way you're acting." Sax nudged Xylo in the shoulder, and gave him a knowing look. "Isn't that right pops?" Their attention soon came back to Digeri and their tone became a bit more welcoming. "But you're young, full of pep, and you want to impress pops as much as any of us do. I like that. So I'll let your attitude slide just this once, kay?" Taking a seat at the table provided by Etul, Sax gave the mute healer a glowing smile and a thumbs up as thanks. "As for information...? I know that a Saiyan-- unaffiliated with the SSE, keep that in mind-- is the current leader of the Warrior Clan. According to what I've overheard, he seems alright... I think his name was Riku."

It seemed that the groups reaction to Digeri wasn't exactly the best. He frowned at his siblings, his ire aimed specifically at Sax. "I am nothing like Tooba!" the cloaked Mazoku spat at the ground, growling. "Unlike him, I happen to respect Father. Only someone as powerful and honorable as him could ever truly lead us."
Xylo chuckled, patting Digeri on the back. "I appreciate the compliments, but don't brown-nose me too much, alright?"
Digeri looked away, grumbling to himself. "...perhaps it would be best if I departed. I will continue to search for a way to revive you. Goodbye, Father." Digeri's Ki suddenly exploded around him, and he shot into the sky. Xylo wanted to say something, but decided against it. Digeri had a lot to prove, it seemed.
The group chatted for a while, but it seemed that in the end, not too much was known by the kids. Though the knowledge of the Warrior Caste leader didn't hurt to know, it didnt exactly bring much knowledge to Xylo's search for the true reason why the SSE had decided to squat here. Xylo smiled at his children, and was about to speak, but his attention was shifted by something he'd sensed. His smile dissipated, and he floated into the air.
"I think I need to get going. I'll see you in a month, children. Keep safe until I return."
Without another word, Xylo shot into the sky, his expression determined.
Sorry for the poor ending, but I think now is a good time to end this. I'll be taking PL!

Harp had thankfully, not been heard by any of his siblings or his father as they all sat at the table. However, after the long chat and the fun they had while Bassoon was likely munching away on what Etul had provided. It wasn't too long, however, before things came to an abrupt halt. Xylo's smile disappeared, sending a chill down the mutated Namekian's spine; floating into the air as he spoke to them.
As he flew away, Harp raised from his chair and tried to grab his Father. He didn't want to let go, and for once the hard, steel-faced Namekian who usually showed no soft emotions had a rather sad expression. His ear tips drooped slightly as Harp watched his father fly away, whispering quietly as a small tear trickled down his cheek. The tears came a bit stronger now, ripping from his heart as without a word, the rebellion leader would turn and dart away.
As he left.. a sad melody would play across the land for a few minutes.
The sound of a harp playing for a few minutes before it would fade away as the fingers stopped strumming their cords.
