Toma didn't remember much about the trip. It had been long... a couple of years, according to the Space Pod he had been riding in. So, he had missed two birthdays? He supposed it didn't really matter at this point. It's not like he had a family to wish happy birthday to him. His family and planet had died, and he couldn't help but feel that it had been his fault. The Space Pod soared through the sky as it came into contact with Earth's atmosphere. The small pod shook and groaned as it flew, obviously not being in tip-top form due to the makeshift repairs his adopted parents had made for him.
Eventually, the pod came to a stop after crashing into the ground in the Diablo Desert. At least the landing was soft... sorta. Sand blew everywhere as the pod door opened, and Toma stepped outside. It was hot... really hot. But he was in the shadow of a large mountain, so that mitigated the heat a little. Toma felt stiff and sore. He wasn't used to not moving around, especially for that long. He instinctivly streached all of his muscles, his tail swinging behind him as well, working out it's muscles. After he felt fully streached and ready for action, he turned to his pod. A pitiful thing, it was. Probably only good for one more trip. He walked over to the pod and picked it up, before flying over to a nearby oasis and blasting a hole in the ground with his Ki. He didn't want anyone finding this pod. He set it down and buried it in sand. He only hoped he'd be able to find it again, should he ever need it.
Toma sat down at the oasis, looking at the water in the center. It was like a little slice of heaven in a dence desert of nothingness... Boy, the Earth sure was strange. So Toma just sat there, his tail sliding around his waist, unsure of what to do. He needed to think about what had happened on his home. He needed to reflect... so that's what he did. He decided to sit down and reflect on what had happened.

By midday Milac had flown to Mount Paozu’s peak to examine the world around him. He had to find his bearing and make it to where his station would be as a representative of his people. He landed on the grassy peak, noticing the contrast in heat compared to the cool winds of the night. As he looked beyond the mountains he noticed a great desert. It had made sense to him now, the cold winds of the desert night must have been blowing into the mountainside. Milac looked at the sea of sand ahead of him, before he noticed the Southern Capital in the distance away from the great desert. “Oh that place is big! I bet I could get help if I went there!” Milac said in a soft excited voice as he turned his site towards the city. That is when he heard a low hum in the sky. Looking up, Milac saw a small space pod soaring through the sky towards the desert. Fear filled the little Namekian’s heart; he had just survived a crash from space himself and lots his fellow Namekian, a pilot named Bana. Without waiting for the pod to land Milac flew into the air and began speeding toward it. His paranoia about intergalactic travel had combined with his desire to help others. Even though a logical being would likely be able to see that the pod was going to land fine, to Milac it was recreating his recent trauma inside of his mind. The pod landed in the desert and a great cloud of dust was kicked up into the air. Milac was still about halfway between Munt Paozu and the landing site. Milac stopped in the air and found himself getting pelted by a thick wave of sand. He flew slowly back down toward the earth and landed on the desert floor with his eyes covered. He was blinded by the dust for quite some time and he heard a blast in the distance. In his imagination the pod must have blown up, but he could still feel a life force. As the dust began to clear Milac rushed back into the air toward the crater of the landing site. To his amazement he saw that nothing was there other than a few loose pieces of shrapnel that had fallen off the junky pod when Toma had moved it. Still feeling the life force Milac was in a panic. Whoever was in that pod must have been trapped under the desert sand! It seemed logical to the young Namekian because of his own experience with landing on the Earth and getting trapped under a thick layer of snow. Without a moment to lose, Milac began digging his hands into the unpleasant surface of the hot sand. He dug frantically on his hands and knees, covering his white robes with sediment as he went. He let out a small grunt as he went about, getting extremely frustrated as it seemed that the sand would just continue to shift down and back into the earth where he had just clawed his fingers into. He couldn’t believe how difficult this was to move, and he had to take a break to let his hands cool off because the sensation of the hot sand seemed to burn his hands slightly. During this break his senses seemed to calm slightly and he was able to rationalize what had happened. The life force that he was feeling wasn’t at this location anymore. He should have known that, but panic had gotten the best of him. Milac focused himself and then was able to tell that whomever it was that had landed was at an Oasis nearby. He looked back down at the pathetic attempt he had made to dig down into the desert. He really had to let go of what had happened in the north, he had to remember the teachings of the elders. Bana was with the ancients now and one day Milac would join him. Cautiously the boy flew toward the oasis, just to be sure that the new arrival was OK. He came to glance upon a young adult with pale skin and dark hair. He also seemed to have a tail, which Milac made Milac unsure of what race this person was. His people’s history had legends about Saiyan’s in them, but nothing in the mythology had depicted the Saiyan as having tails. He appeared to be sitting by the oasis, and Milac landed and approached cautiously. He bore a small smile on his face, trying to show the man that he meant no harm. He realized that he had known that the person was OK after he had gathered his senses before, in truth Milac was now more curious than worried about the creature’s health. The creatures aura seemed slightly good intentioned, but it was clouded by a sadness. Milac imagined that his own aura might seem the same right now as he grieved Bana. “Hello there! Are you alright? I saw you land but didn’t see your pod anywhere and I heard an explosion…” Milac asked.

Toma noticed the energy that was approaching him. An energy a bit stronger than his. Whomever this was, they'd make a good opponent one day. But perhaps not today. Suprisingly, Toma wasn't in the mood for fighting. He wanted to think. He wanted to find out what had happened to his people and what, if anything, he could do to fix it. He sighed as the energy signature got closer and closer, until eventually he spied a little green child. He smiled a little at the boys words. "Yes, I'm fine. I'm just... thinking." He spoke, as his tail wagged back and forth. He looked into the pool of the water, before then laying back, his hands behind his head, now looking up at the sky. "I just arrived on this planet after pirates invaded my home... so now I'm at a loss for what to do."

“Oh my...” Milac said. He could sense that the man in front of him had a great deal of power, definitely more than that of the humans he had encountered on his travels. It hadn’t been as overbearing as his encounter with a strange alien that had been wounded in a cave, for which he was thankful. Milac still looked very cautious, he was unaware of his own inner power and he had never raised a finger against another being in his short life. He rubbed his little green head, he wanted to help this stranger out with his emotional trama. In truth though he was going through some turmoil of his own.
“My name is Milac, and I too am a visitor to this planet. I was supposed to come here as a representative of my people, only…” Milac paused for a moment. Why was he telling this stranger his life story? Everyone that he had met on earth besides the nice man with a dog pack had treated him as an oddity at best. Many had even called him a DEMON. The thought of it made him agitated. Perhaps this visitor would be different though.
“…we crashed. I’ve been lost ever since and nobody will believe me when I tell them I am an ambassador.” Milac said letting out a brief sigh. He felt a little selfish because he was venting his own sadness on a stranger who had lost everything. Still the mans tragic tale had forced his mind back onto the horrific crash.
"To be honest when I saw your pod land I was afraid that you might be crashing too. That is why I rushed here so fast!' Milac said.
Milac walked over to the pool of the oasis. He bent down and gathered as much water as he could in his tiny hands and sipped it. For him it was like having a small snack. The water tasted warm but fresh. He looked back toward the saiyan, he realized he hadn't done anything to ease his pain at all.
“Don’t be sad! There are powerful guardians of my clan who can create beings that can reverse even the greatest tragedies.” He told the Saiyan, unaware of the possible obsession he might be planting into his mind.

"An ambassador to your people, hm? They must trust you quite a lot. You can't really blame the humans for doubting you though, can you? I mean to them you look like a mere child." Toma spoke, as he smiled and laughed a bit. "I thank you for your concern, but I didn't crash. My Space Pod was designed to land like that, unfortunatly. From what I understand, the species I come from is a very hardy one. I believe they're called... Saiyans? Yes. That's it. I'm a Saiyan. Believe it or not, I've never actually met another Saiyan before, so I apologize if I seem confused." He continued, as he looked at the little Namekian boy. He seemed timid, this boy. Though he was more than strong enough to handle himself, from what Toma could feel. Perhaps that was why they sent him alone? Maybe. After all, it didn't seem that odd to Toma. From what he gathered, he had been sent as a mere baby to another planet, for whatever reason. Perhaps Milac's race had similar rituals?
But then the little green boy spoke of beings that could reverse even the greatest of tragedies. Toma poked his head up a little to look at the boy, sitting forward a bit more. "Reverse tragedy? Does this include bringing the dead back to life?" Toma asked. To the little Namekian, his aura would feel a bit less sad and more hopeful. Toma would do anything to bring back his adopted people. Anything in the world, even if it ment he died.

Milac felt a mix of pride and agitation as the saiyan had called out the trust that his people had in him as well as his age. He WAS a child, he was only three and a half years old after all. But this man and the humans failed to realize that his species matured much quicker than theirs. His concentration on his thoughts was broken when he heard the man say that he was a saiyan. He recalled his encounter with Emer, who had hinted that he had a vendetta against that race. He imagined that Emer was still nearby and he felt worried for the saiyan. "You're...a saiyan?" the Namekian asked. This had been his first encounter with one in the flesh. "You... you really should get out of here! Someone... or something.... nearby has a grudge against your people. He could be on the hunt again and if he found out you were here..." Milac told the saiyan. There was no time to tell the saiyan about the dragon balls. His life could very well be in grave danger. He hoped that the saiyan wouldn't be to obsessed with his curiosity of the power to bring back the dead and heed his warning.

"Someone or something, huh?" He said, bringing a hand up to his chin, thinking. Something that had a grudge against Saiyans? And he was on a hunt? Was he killing Saiyans just because they were Saiyans? That was nothing more than Genocide then though, wasn't it? Toma couldn't let that happen. He looked to the boy. "You sound worried. I must ask, how strong is this thing you speak of?" To be honest, Toma wasn't too sure in his strength to stop the creature anymore. Not ever since his fight on his home planet. He had failed to protect his family there, but he wanted to get stronger so he may protect this planet instead, should he decide to make a home here.

Milac didn't seem to have the capability to stress the threat that the saiyan could be in at this very moment. He put his hand out toward Toma's shoulder.
"He was very powerful and I met him when he was wounded... after I... healed him," Milac said with a worried look on his face. He worried that this saiyan might take it the wrong way.".. Well I healed him before I found out his intentions... but afterwards his power seemed to grow even more........... and it was like something else lived inside of him, as if I were sensing three separate beings."
"You should go. He is nearby and I don't think that his mind can be changed, his soul reeks with a lust for vengeance.... but for what reasons I do not know." Milac said.
"Hiccup!" Milac made a strange noise. It continued to happen every couple of seconds. Anything serious about the boy seemed to fade as he scrambled back to the pool of water and began gulping it down his throat.
"There we go!... Hicup!" Milac repeated his hicup and frowned. He ran back to the pool of water and continued trying to get rid of the nuisance.

"So you have the capability of healing as well? I can see why your elders trust in you so much." He spoke, as he smiled at Milac. He seemed like a good, trustworthy kid. He did not blame the boy for healing the "Saiyan Hunter", as he probably just saw someone in need and decided to help. In all honesty, he'd probably do the same thing. He frowned a little when he said that he had sensed three people inside this being. Three beings? That would explain the rediculous power that the Namekian was speaking of. Perhaps Toma would fight this man one day, but if he was as tough as this boy was making him out to be, Toma would need some massive training first.
Toma couldn't help but laugh when he heard the young boy get the hiccups. Now that was funny. He smiled as he leaned forwards, chuckling. "So your people can get the hiccups too, eh?" He teased, before his facial expression hardened. He was getting serious now. "You spoke of beings who could reverse tragedies. What did you mean?"

"Well it isn't really healing...HICCUP! It is more like HICCUP! that I am passing on my races ability to regenerate." Milac said and it seemed that maybe the hiccups were gone now. He sighed with relief. "We can't heal head injuries or recover someone from the beyond...HICCUP!" Milac had a cute but agitated look on his face as the disturbance to his speech seemed to continue after a brief pause. He sat down on the ground and started scooping more and more water into his mouth.
It didn't seem like the saiyan was going to heed his advice about getting out of town before Emer found him. Maybe if he told him about what he was so curiously asking he would go off and try to find them instead of sticking around here.
"Well... the thing is is that the most powerful members of the dragon clan are able to..." Milac was able to hold in a hiccup finally, but he had to pause and hold his breath to do it. "If you can collect all seven of what are known as dragon balls you can summon a great dragon capable of granting wishes." Milac told the saiyan. "One of our clansmen is the guardian of this planet, and dragon balls exist here too!" Milac told the saiyan. He was ignorant to the fact that the current Kami had passed on into the afterlife.
............................... ..................................... ........................................... "HICCUP!"

"Ah, so your species can regenerate. I bet that hurts for a bit eh?" Toma asked, as he continued to think. Milac then spoke about the Dragon Balls, their creator, and their incredible power. He also continued to speak about how the Dragon Balls existed on Earth, and that they were possible to find. Suddenly, the sadness in Toma's aura disapeered, and was now replaced by one of happiness, and hope. Perhaps all was not yet lost! Yes, that was it! Toma will find these Dragon Balls, and restore his home!
With Toma's new goal in mind, he got a big grin on his face. "I could wish my family back to life!" Toma spoke, as he looked to Milac, smiling. "Milac, do you know where I might find this Guardian? If I can find him, he might be able to tell me where I can find the Dragon Balls!" He spoke, as he stood up, chuckling some.

Milac’s hiccups had subsided finally. He got up from the pool of the oasis and wiped his mouth off with his sleeve. He was feeling quite well nourished from all of the water he had just drank as well, which served as food to a Namekian.
“Regeneration can be quite painful… When I crash landed here I woke up missing an arm and impaled.” Milac said, wincing at the memory. He held onto his right arm as he remembered the experience. “It was the worst pain that I had ever felt.”
Milac was glad to see that the saiyan at least had some sort of hope in his eyes now. He worried though that the dragon balls might drive him to obsession or endanger his life if he went looking for them. Then again, it could be therapeutic for him to at least try, it would give him time to accept the death of his loved ones.
“I haven’t found my way on this planet yet. I truly do not know the exact where about as to where the Kami lives.” Milac said with a frown on his face. “If I remember correctly the guardian of this planet is supposed to live in the heavens, watching over it from afar.” Milac said as he pointed into the sky. Milac’s definition of the heavens was very broad. He didn’t truly know if the Kami here lived in the sky or if he was in a different realm entirely.
Milac began to disrobe as he spoke. He was wearing some simple undershorts on his green little body. The purple of his belly and arms were also exposed now, and he jumped into the pool of the oasis. The water felt very soothing on his body. He smiled as he splashed around a bit, the shallow pool was enough for the little guy to sit down up to his neck in.
“Just be careful If you go off looking for those things. Sometimes the competition for them can get really… deadly.” Milac warned the saiyan.

"In the heavens, eh?" Toma asked, as he looked up at the sky where Milac was pointing. Well, Toma supposed that flying around this world a few times wouldn't be that difficult. It might take him a few hours, but it's not like he didn't have time anyways. Toma sighed as he stood up, and he started streaching his sides by leaning his head and his upper torso to either side, while raising the relative arm above his head, and keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground. Always good to stretch before moving. "Thank you, Milac. I appreciate the warning. I suppose I'll just have to get stronger to bring back my family if I can't find them, now won't I?" Toma joked, chuckling some as he smiled at the little Namekian boy who was now sitting in the pond. "But before I go, I must ask, what is your race called, and if I need to find you again, how would I go about doing it? I suppose I could just look for you, I mean I can sense energy."

Milac nodded when Toma repeated what he had said about the heavens. He watched as the saiyan looked upwards. Milac himself wasn’t sure if what the saiyan sought could actually be found in the sky or not. He had only seen one dragon ball in his life atop the Elder Guru’s chamber where he had fought so hard to get permission to come to earth. Milac wondered how things were going back on his home planet. It was hard being away from his plethora of brothers and sisters and being able to learn from older members of the dragon clan.
“True strength lies in finding balance within yourself,” Milac answered seriously, still not quite used to more subtle humor in his young age and sheltered lifestyle. He also was still concerned that the saiyan would become obsessed with this quest and wind up getting injured.
He had almost forgotten about the one called Emer, although he hadn’t actually known that creature’s name. It seemed that the saiyan was going to depart. He was sad to see company go but at least he would be safer if he were to depart from here.
“Uhh… my people are known as Namekian. As far as finding me, I don’t know where I am headed yet. I plan to visit the nearby city to try to find my way.” He concluded.

Toma smiled and nodded at the Namekians words. Perhaps, he might run into other Namekians on this planet. After all, if there was someone hunting Saiyans here, there were probably other Saiyans on this planet as well. It made a fair amount of sense, in Toma's mind. He thanked Milac again and his blue aura surrounded him, sending wind flying everywhere as he was about to fly off, before he realized something. He had no idea what the Dragon Balls looked like!
Toma turned back to Milac, his aura fading some, but still visible and less violent, as he rubbed the back of his head and smiled sheepishly. "One last thing... what do these dragon balls look like?"
