Aina’s eyes would be keeping a close look at Lev as despite his benevolent in the moment she was still wary of him. As he spoke about saiyan culture she would listen to his perspective. She knew of the saiyan love of fighting as half of her blood was saiyan and the fighting did course through Aina to the point she did enjoy a good brawl like any saiyan would. Slicing into someone with her knives used to bring her joy until she became much more trained with them and her discipline from the military.
“Seeing as you are not mindless that is a good thing… Happy to know someone that is not allowing their gut, instinct, or heritage dictate their every single movement in life. That is a welcome change… Yet I have also heard of that saiyan rage. My sister told me something though about that rage. It is key to ascending beyond the base of what the saiyans can be…”
She would shrug her shoulders as she did not continue all that much. Such conversations where a good thing but she was not going to shut Hinawa out of the conversation and would allow her to speak her mind. Yet as he mentioned the souless killing for the sake of killing was something that would spur him to action. Aina would nod at him as this was most certainly something that she would be spurred to fight as well. To stop tyranny and to stop what others do in that manner was most certainly something she felt good about doing.
Aina would once more nod at Hinawa as it was true. It would seem that none of those within the room had clean hands. Each of them had killed others. As the fire was ignited she was thankful as the warmth was better than attempting to keep herself warm with ki swirling about herself. When Hinawa mentioned true friendship she just shrugged as she had had barely any sort of positive reinforcement or friendly relations in a long long time.
“Possibly but not in a while. I have a few people I consider friends but none all that close. Easier to keep most of them safe from those that might try to kill them because of me.”

Hinawa had moved to create some form of fire and he basked in it, shifting from where he was to lazily sit beside it and allow himself to fall upon his back, exhaling, the beast boasted a small grin. "catch me in a good mood then I might also teach you a thing or two about my style, it roars like flames and develops asan Alpha of a pack should; quickly, creating more than ample openings to become the greatest I can be and in turn; open doors to greater competition,"
These two were interesting, they spoke with clarity and experience and some how he'd acquired a great deal of knowledge on how others see combat. Levlidian didn't understand their reluctance to fight but he saw their points and furrowed his brow to their words of friendships. He'd always been taught they were fleeting and created a weakness, the worst kind, reliance on another and the will to protect. "frindships make you weak in a sense but both of you argue they have strengths as well; odd, I was taught differently," However Aina's next words courted him to sit and so he did.
"Ascending?" Levlidian's ears perked and he focused his eyes upon Aina, the woman knew something of his kind he did not? Else perhaps he did know but had forgotten for such teachings extended into his younger years, in those days he'd seldom listened at any case. Combat was all he sought, some form of outlet for the ever developing aggression his species faced. "What sort of Ascension?"

"Different cultures can teach you different things, I suppose. Friendships are most certainly seen as something positive here on Earth..." She kept an eye at Levlidian, who seemed to enjoy the warmth of the fire quite a bit as he relaxed. She couldn't help but smirk slightly... So his style was like fire, aggressive and strong? She should definitely try out Zefonse's deflection style whenever they finally went up against one another. She was actually starting to look forward to a fight - quite the strange feeling!
"I suppose being strong has that problem, yes. If your friends are weaker, an enemy can use them against you..." Aina's words made sense, but they were depressing in more ways than one. The kitsune reached for a few water bottles she had stored down here - and quickly discovered that they had, of course, frozen. With a shrug, she placed the three bottles in front of the flames, one in reach of each of them, so they could at least get a drink once they thawed. She wasn't exactly equipped for visitors, and usually wasn't very social, but she was starting to like both of them, in their own ways. 'Emer would kill me if he knew that I'm starting to like talking to a Saiyan.'
When Aina mentioned 'ascending' and Levlidian piped up, her fox ears twitched slightly. That sounded... important, to say the least. She remembered only very faintly how her father had once used that word to describe her great-grandfather, a man she never got to know... Was the ascension of a Saiyan something similar to that? It had something to do with spirituality, probably - most traditions from her family were related to that. But spirituality and Saiyans, even ones like Levlidian, seemed unlikely, especially if it was connected to 'rage'...
"Aren't Saiyans angry by default? What kind of 'ascension' would rely on that?" She couldn't help but make that slight jab at the one Saiyan present, giving him a short smirk.

As Aina warmed herselfby the fire she listened to Levlidian speak about his style as he came over and flopped down on the ground beside the hearth. IT was a sound strategy to become stronger but it was something like an arms race and Aina would know about that all to well. “It is a noble esque way of thinking Lev. The only thing is it is also a race. An arms race as It were. Like I get physically stronger someone brings a knife, then out comes a large knife, then a gun… You get the idea obviously.”
“If you fighting style is like a fire then mine would be almost like a cobra or other venomous snake. I move and wait in the shadows. Until I get to a point where I can strike and then I strike with ferocity and with a purpose before pulling back and vanishing…” She spoke expounding on the fact that Lev had said his fighting was a fire and Hinawa stayed quiet she figured she would chime in her two cents. A rolling water bottle in front of her caught her eye and she turned to smile at Hinawa. A simple gesture of thanks coming from her as she moved hers closer to herself as she awaited the brick of ice to slowly melt.
When she heard and saw the reactions from the word she spoke and it made her smile widely. Her sister spoke about it as it was something rather simple but it made sense to her. “Well the way my half sister described it was that the golden energy overcame her in a moment of pure agony and rage. If she did not show me the transformation personally I would not of believed that it was possible to do what she said happens. I have a feeling that many saiyans have been able to access this already asI remember the news feed from the day that the SSE invaded and it seemed a lot of their generals where inside of this state. “
Reaching down she felt that there was some water within the water bottle so she raised it to her lips after cracking and removing the lid. Taking a drink from it as she caught her thoughts back up to what she said. “All I know is my sister saw her mother and significant other die before her eyes in a very brutal fashion. As she says she has to see this image everytime she wishes to transform and push herself there.”

Gazing at his own hands as Aina spoke he couldn't help but absorb the information with a broad grin of excitement, it hadn't occurred to him that he could drive himself so far but by the sounds of it, the turn into a Golden powerhouse would require something acute; something truly enraging and with the quip accompanying the words from Hinawa it drew lev' to glance at the two of them. "I need to suffer to access this power," he muttered and up sat the Saiyan.
"I heard tales from my father but I forget the preicsed words, as a child I was incredibly hard to teach anything scripture based. as you can imagine, all I desired was to test my limits despite the fact my intellect was higher than most Saiyans," Slowly the beast bestowed himself with a tempered flare of crimson ki about his hand then eyed it with interest. The hum, distinct and a true betrayal of his essence as a fighter. How could he turn this burning fire into something amplifying? There must be a way to train himself to this grade revealed unto him.
"We're not angry by default y'cheek ridden female, Hinawa, we're arrogant by default and angry if you disagree," the grin switched into one of amusement but soon he locked back on to Aina, "Another use for friends, no? Top lose something that means something to you will aid in access to such destructive power," he shuddered and seemed to fidget with impatience; "I think this'll be my new goal, to exceed these generals. Though this Emer, if he was upset you'd befriended one Saiyan then I'd be ready to believe they were unruly, obsessed and completely racist. one Saiyan can not be held accountable for those dark enough to cause pain to another for sheer pleasure, it's illogical,"
As lev' spoke he dispelled his ki and relaxed once again, folding his legs and rocking with the subtle pulses of excitement he still subjected himself to. "This is all starting to make me impatient to start training again," he mused.

"Golden power through loss..." mumbling that, Hinawa gave Levlidian a sharp glance. To speak of people close to him that way... But then again, he never had friends, right? No surprise that talking of losing one's friends would be so simple to him. She had no idea what kind of place planet Vegeta really was, but the more she heard about it, the more she found it to sound like some sort of hell that nobody deserved to grow up in. Her own childhood in an orphanage sounded preferable to it. And she still couldn't help but find his return quip to actually be funny, too. She had no idea if he actually WAS smarter than your average Saiyan or just tooting his own horn, but he was probably snarkier than other Saiyans, and she definitely approved of that. People that just got annoyed at her were boring, and that was the one complaint she could NOT level at Levlidian - being boring.
"Seems like your sister has had it rough. I can tell you though, hearing that about Saiyans... makes me somewhat jealous that humans like me are out of luck with that. Otherwise I'd be unstoppable by now." Images of her parents, Emer, and a bunch of other minor acquaintances flashed before her inner eye, causing her to sigh and take a drink from her own half-melted water. Cold as hell, but refreshing nonetheless. "And I'd say use some patience, Levlidian. I wasn't around for that attack of the SSE on Earth - because I like being alive - but even I am able to hear the news. I think a meteor impacting the planet would've been less destructive and would've killed fewer people."
"Though if you want to go back to training, don't do it in here. I like having a somewhat stable roof. I assume the blizzard will be letting up by now, and if it doesn't, I suppose you can probably just break through if you fly fast enough, if that's what you want to do. I'll go out once it has fully stopped - there's something I have to do myself at that point. Something to make sure I can actually fight."

“Yes suffering is one aspect to attain the power… She does not explain what the other components are to attain nor maintain the power. All she says is that I am lucky that I take after my mother and not my father so that I do not have to follow down the path like she did and suffer. So I will count my blessings that all I have is a hitchhiker inside my mind and not issues that created to Super Saiyan form my sister has.” She hoped that her words would not just fall upon deaf ears from the saiyan male that was enjoying the company of herself and Hinawa. It seemed that it had not but he seemingly misinterpreted the words and was processing them in his own way. This brought a sigh from her lips but she made little motion to correct his train of thought as it had already go quite a distance.
“The thing is Emer has slightly mellowed as he has aged and nearly died several times. Yet he holds well justified hatred for Saiyans. If I told either of you what had happened to him you would not scarcely think I was telling the truth. As I can tell you right now that I am not lying when I speak about him. As I have his memories within my head so my recollection of his life is nearly spot on because of our photographic memory. “ As she spoke she would shift her weight and move to sit a little like Emer used to on the front of her feet. Looking at Hinawa with a bit of a smile on her face as she did so.
Turning to Lev she just shook her head and chuckled lightly. It was obvious the fact he wanted to continue training was humorous to the Kagami/saiyan hybrid. Sure she felt the same urge a lot of the time but she figured that there was a chance that she would never have to as she resisted its effect. Waving her hand Aina would talk. “She would.. If she is not the former Turtle Hermit and married happily with twins. Honestly she has to be one of the strongest people upon the planet that consider Earth their permenant home.”

"not to worry little Fox," laugehd Levlidian, she truly did expect him to be an absolute brute; it amused him, "I'd train outside, not here and far from here. The resistance this weather boasts will surely up my game and in honesty, height depletes oxygen which would allow me to fight with some form of disability; a great way to further my breathing control," he turned to Aina and tilted his head; "Your sibling sounds strong, perhaps some day I'll be able to gain a chance to fight them or perhaps train under them, else I'll never exceed you,"
Shifting uneasily, the young man then parted his lips but paused before choosing his words carefully; "My mother died giving birth to me, this is why my father treated me such a way for she was a powerful warrior and for an infant to steal that away; it predicted I too would be strong. So he pushed me beyond my limits from a young age, pat of me suspects he used our heritage as a way to...pay me back for taking his Wife," witha short shrug he laughed again, "I was born with bloody hands, it seems,"
Adjusting the jaw hindering sight to his emotional state, the beast sighed; "Emer at least showed compassion from the sounds of it, he has every right to hate my people. I too have been at the receiving end of their paranoia and blood hunger," lowering his head, lev' seemed to come upon the words Aina offered, "I jest about the loss, or do I? honestly I suffer beneath a form of clouded clarity at times and let the animal get into my mind and control my words,"

"I know quite a bit about what Emer went through, and I'll be selfish and say that I don't ever WANT to hear the full story. My sanity is fragile enough as it is, thanks."
Hinawa honestly had no intention of learning the entirety of Emer's story. Simply knowing him was enough. He had more scars than skin in some places, lacked an arm, and had so much fury and hatred within him... That, at one point, Hinawa saw him as the ideal idol to follow to become terror upon the Saiyan people. With his disappearance, she had been saved from a life dedicated only to killing and revenge. Hearing about it now might not send her back to that life, but she liked being able to sleep at night.
Levlidian's story, though, wasn't a pleasant one either. Being forced to be a tool of violence and mistreated by his own father... Being part of a race that had its fair share of faults. The short tinge of childish envy she had for their ability to become golden warriors disappeared as fast as it had taken hold in her heart, as she shook her head slightly.
"Tch. It appears that finding someone like us, a martial artist, who has NOT had terrible things happen to them, is an impossibility." She gave Levlidian another scanning look - he didn't seem to be lying. Maybe she could... No, not right now. She actually had to master it herself first. But she'd keep it in mind, for after that spar he wanted from her.

“My sister trains people if she finds them worthy enough. So if you ever encountered her and you caught her eye then you would be trained by her. Yet she is no formal master. So there is no emblem, no uniform that she hands out or has her pupils wear.” Aina would respond to Lev rather matter of factly about Ninjin. Rubbing her forehead she sighed as she felt a little tiredness finally come across her as she sat before the fire. The heat from the fire soothing her a little. However she snapped from the stupor as Hinawa spoke about Emer. The fact that she did not want to know of what he had been through made her smirk a little.
“If only I could forget it.” Her voice was a grumble that just barely escaped her lips. Rubbing the side of her head she felt a little grumble come from herself as she hated the memories when they decided to flux and wave about in her head. Lhinith helped keeping it from happening a lot yet it still happened from time to time. Despite that she listened to Lev speak about the situation of his birth. That was one heck of a story as she had no idea how to respond to it.
Wrapping her arms around her pulled in knees she looked back into the fire as if searching it for even the slightest of changes. Hinawa’s response elicited a light chuckle from her lips. “So very true. It seems that most people have never had a happy day within their lives becomes a fighter out of necessity. Though I can say the same for a lot of orphans as I have seen quite a number join the military just to find a place to live and exist. I for one once fit into that category before I got my head on straight…”
As she finished talking she seemed to be starting to doze a little. After a long day like she had had it was only natural that now that she was warm she would begin to feel tired.

"true warriors are forged by their failings and their hardships, a good soul is forged by his virtues and positive interactions," it felt good, the warmth but it soon became apparent to him, that Levlidian wanted to return to his age old desire to train. Aina seemed to be lulling herself to sleep, Hinawa was relaxed but this was not where Lev' would spend this night.
The beast rose from his position, his Gi stretching to match the muscular physique and with a sound stretch betraying the savage cracking of his joints, levlidian began to stride for the opening of the caverns. Outside the winds had died and the snow had settled, a soft descent of the beautiful powder saw the sun reflect from the flakes as though they themselves were stars. Without warning his Ki burst about him like a raging inferno and he adversed to peer back within the hideout.
"I think it's time I took off for a session in training before I rest, Hinawa, Aina, it has been a true pleasure but when next we meet you had better both be stronger; I intend to have some form of spar," his eyes trail to Hinawa and a cruel grin emerged about his tanned lips; "Especially you," he added and began to retreat from the caverns further until he was positioned outside. The soft snow crunched loudly beneath his boots and with a mocking salute he stepped clear of the cliff and descended into the ravine.
As he fell, the ki about him swallowed the effect gravity projected and drew him upwards to peer back within the cavern for a moment, with a wink, he was gone leaving a plume of powder in his wake and a cry of excitement towards his fellow converse's; rupturing the sound barrier as he took off into the oncoming shrouds of velvet that were clouds. True enough, he'd return sooner than expected as this young Saiyan still carried his impatience but that was soon to change.
(9Seems like a good time to wind it up for Lev' as he's fairly impatient at this point. I've really enjoyed this and it was a fantastic introduction to the forum. much love to y'both,)

Everyone seemed to slowly get tired - not really a surprise. Their discussion had been a long and interesting one, to say the least. Hinawa knew a lot more about Saiyans now, in a way. Emer's hatred for them - she understood it, but couldn't share it. Some Saiyans were complete bastards... Okay, most of them probably were. But that didn't mean they should all be eliminated. The further revelation that Kagami slaves had been this close to her hideout and she had not even known... That didn't sit right with Hinawa, not at all, now that she had a bit to think about it. Had she not sworn to Emer to be his ally? And didn't allies always work towards the goals of those in their alliance? Levlidian once more proved his impatience and left them, but not without a final declaration of looking forward to their eventual spar. Hinawa just shook her head slightly with a short returned grin. This guy really was just filled with nothing but the desire to fight, was he? But she had to at least commend him on his iron will to face those so much stronger than himself, considering how small his aura felt compared to Aina's. If put directly next to each other, then he was a small candle, and she was a raging forest fire. "See you, Levlidian." Of course he blew away with plenty of spectacle, she really had not expected anything else from him. Shaking her head a bit, Hinawa walked through her cavernous home, tossing some more pieces of wood onto the makeshift fire. Aina looked rather tired... With a quick look around, she fox girl found some of the thicker blankets she still had and didn't use herself. "If you want to stay here for longer, then you better get yourself into these. I'm gonna lay down for now, and once the fire burns down, it gets pretty damn cold in here. Make yourself at home if you want to. Or don't, the door is pretty hard to miss." With a gesture towards the pile of blankets, Hinawa rather quickly tossed her clothing besides her underwear aside - she did not have much of a feeling of shame about anything - and disappeared into her own fort of thick blankets and a mattress that doubled as a makeshift bed down here in her cave. ---- This might be a good place to end the thread, if everyone is okay with that! If so, then I'll take Zeni with human bonus for it. Awesome thread, was a lot of fun! Aina Levlidian

Aina would gie a brief wave to Levlidian as he turned to leave she was obviously growing more tired than before. After he left she noticed Hinawa point to what she could only assume was a spare pile of heavy blankets. Aina gave her a smile and bowed her head in thanks. She walked over to the pile and began to undo the belts of knives she had. More as a protective measure than anything else. As she was not going to stab herself accidentally and bleed all over the blankets while she slept. Creating the small pile of knives to the side she pulled a small capsule out and pressed the button. When it opened it transformed just into a small trunk. Opening it she would toss in the knives with a slight clattering noise as the knives hit against their sheaths and the trunk itself.
“Thank you for the offer Hinawa. I think I will take you up on the offer. I feel way too tired to attempt to fly home.”
As she spoke she reached into the trunk and grabbed a couple of blankets to wrap herself up within as she put the capsule away and back on her belt. Giving her a sideways glance as she watched her toss aside her clothing and jump into her own pile of furs. Shaking her head with a chuckle she moved into the pile of blankets that had been designated for herself. Snuggling in tight to the blankets and warmth she felt.
“Have a good evening Hinawa… See you in the morning.”
