As Val told Sai about her past Sai couldn’t help but get shocked, but happily he didn’t show any emotion. His head still resting on her thigh, he gave her a cute face and told her, “Well that must mean I’m older than you! And I bet the jerks can’t beat you if I’m here to help defend you!” He laughed as his eyes wandered around from her face to the sky. “So, what were you originally programmed for. And is Val your real name? I’m so interesting and you’re such an interesting person! I’m love spending time with you already, even though I’m wasting training time hah”
Sai felt like such a cute child, and he knew that Val felt the same way. It was just so fun to play innocent and cute all the time, even though he actually hid some bad intentions. Like his wanting to kill or hurt any member of the SSE. It was just how he was born, or even how he was 'programmed'.

"That would be the case," Val agreed. In literal terms, she was still very young, and programmed knowledge aside, she knew that she lacked for experience even when compared to Sai, who was just a child. Age meant a little less when you'd been constructed in a lab. She smiled. "I appreciate the offer, but usually I just run away when they come after me. Besides, their equipment interferes with my frequencies, so I prefer to avoid them where I can."
Colossal headaches brought about by electronic disruptions... not Val's favourite experience. In fact, of all the experiences she had experienced since leaving the lab, that ranked amongst the lowest.
Sai was full of questions - the tables had been turned. Valerie wasn't used to saying so much about herself, although she didn't mind, necessarily. In some ways that was almost learning in and of itself. Technically, she was working out how to respond to this side of a conversation, something which she'd had little opportunity to do so far.
"I would not say Valerie isn't my real name," she looked down at him, chewed a synthetic lip. "It's not my original name, but it's mine. As for the programming..." she made a face. "My purpose was farming. I know a great deal about crop rotation."
A twinkle in the eye. "Buuut knowing and enjoying aren't the same."

Sai kept listening to what Val had to say. It was fairly obvious that she didn’t talk about herself that often, since she wasn’t really used to it. She stopped between her sentences and struggled to get information out; but he enjoyed listening to her. Yet as all children were crafted, Sai began to lose attention by the end of her talking. Since they met, she hadn’t asked a word about him and that kind of ticked him off. Was he not that interesting?
“So Val, are you not going to ask anything about me? Am I not interesting nee-chan?!” He smiled and laughed as he continued to look up at Valerie, with that cute twinkly look on his face.
