Cado stood there momentarily watching and listening to the others talk. The large tree like man, introduced himself as walker. “Cado replied back to him, Nice to meet you walker” These new people he had just met seem to be pretty nice people. He couldn’t tell or sense any type of aggression within them at the moment. So he lightened up a little bit and didn’t seem so cautious.
He watched the figure of slime closely though still. Peering at it, when It asked the question , he replied back to it with simply “ Yes, I’m pretty sure I’m healthy. I feel fine” He watched as it began to move around and about, extending its body in the different directions before floating up off the ground .Cado stood there, with the strange figure hovering over his head. “ Man, this thing is strange to me, I’ve never in my life, heard, or seen anything like it.” Cado would still just stand there watching it out of curiosity.

"Neither have I..." Aiami nodded her agreement to the hybrid's statement. "Well, I've seen something that can do something similar, but... I suppose it is unfair to say all things made are the same." She let out a sigh, looking pointedly at Walker. It had only been a few minutes since she arrived, if that, and it was already eye-opening for her. Walker was right, the only term for what she was being was 'racist.' She would have to work on that, but it would be tough. Something for later, but at least she knew Azguard wasn't a threat. In fact, the little blob seemed very helpful. Speaking of, it had asked a question, which she considered for a moment.
Aiami looked at Azguard with furrowed brows as she thought about the question. "Ki is... The best thing I could call it is 'energy.'" She nodded. "It's hard to explain, for me, at least. My teacher called it 'a kind of life force,' but I'm afraid I still don't know exactly what that means." She frowned, realizing that probably wasn't much of an answer for the gooey medic. Her face brightened as she got an idea, and she moved closer to Azguard.
"Here, maybe I can explain better by showing you..." Once she had its attention, Aiami held out a hand, palm up, and summoned a small ball of glowing, yellow ki. It was weaker than something she would use for a ki blast, but it was bright and gave off some warmth, and that was enough to help prove her point. "This is ki. Or... one form of it. I was taught it existed in all living things, in one way or another. Including you, Azguard."

The tree nodded as Aiami produced a Ki orb, speaking up 'quietly'. It was hard to do anything but quiet when you were speaking without sound. "She is correct, but it is not the full picture. Ki is the innate energy that animates and permeates all living beings. There is a limit to how much a body can physically handle, top speeds it can reach and maximum possible loads it can lift." He gestured to his own form, and then the humans. "I take it you, as a medic, likely understand these limits of a human body. After a point, living creatures must increase their Ki, using the energy to reach levels their physical form could not handle alone. It is most commonly used in the super powered fighters and martial artists of this world for combat. Allow me to demonstrate, if you don't mind?" He coughed slightly, then rose upwards, still visible. "Perhaps this will be strong enough for you to feel on your own. Many beings can learn to sense Ki."
His voice suddenly gained an echoey quality. " Attention Citizens of North Capitol. There will be a brief test-firing of a Ki-based attack in 30 seconds upwards. There is no cause for alarm. This is BBA Freelancer Walker, repeating again, there is no cause for alarm, nor is there any ongoing combat." The voice returned to normal, as a few nearby people began babbling somewhat. "Ah,that should be sufficent. Now then..." Raising one hand skyward, his eyes closed for a moment, and then a tremendous aura flared around him. "BUZZSAW YGGDRASIL!"
(Minus the wrecked cars and corpses, obviously. It's not hitting anything)
From his hand, a massive glowing tree sprouted, branching off over and over again, spiraling higher until finally, for a brief moment, the giant oak of light was standing above North Capitol, casting an emerald light on all the inhabitants. A second later, it faded away. "That is a Ki attack, and I imagine one strong enough that you might have been able to feel it, Azguard.

Cado’s answer would have brought a smile to Azguard’s face, were it not for the fact it lacked such a thing as an actual mouth. Rather, it simply accepted the man’s reply as a sign of honesty and trust on both their behalves, giving what might have been seen as a grateful nod. Right now, it was far more concerned about the mysteries that encompassed its other question, and it appeared both Aiami and Walker were willing to demonstrate some of their knowledge regarding it.
“This is Ki.” ‘Ki is energy…?’ Curious eyes watched as the human manifested a small, flickering orb of light. It was akin to a light bulb in strength and intensity, but most definitely not as solid. Parting rays shimmering gently against the azure ooze, the pale golden hue appearing a lot greener to the enigma’s eyes – a healthy shade of fair emerald, not all too dissimilar from the sunlight passing through the leaves of the trees. Carefully, the cell shifted, essentially reaching out with its Plasm in a childish and naïve attempt to make contact with the anomalous sphere.
Unfortunately, Ki was not at all comparable to flesh, and ‘tasting’ it was perhaps not the best course of action. Though it was by no means a painful experience, it was a surprising one all the same; Azguard’s Plasm enveloped the energised orb, only for the Core’s eyes to watch it vanish as if a candle’s flame had been blown out by a sharp breeze. It felt the faintest tingle as the energies dissipated, a warmth that rapidly cooled as it vanished amidst the gel.
‘I take it you, as a medic, likely understand these limits of a human body,’ Walker asked. The dryad was elaborating on Miss Lin’s explanation, educating the amorphous Bio-Android through comparison as well as demonstration. What he said made sense, even to the slime’s infantile mind. The human body could only take so much – only had so much to give – before burning itself out. Whether through illness or through injury, no matter the ails that plagued them, a human could only endure so much biological stress before their life came to its inevitable and unfortunate end. This fact was something Azguard was all too well aware of, even if it had never experienced the passing of another. It was an instinct, so deeply ingrained into its intellect, which drove it on a selfless quest for humanity’s well-being.
‘BUZZSAW YGGDRASIL’ Azguard’s entire form fluctuated, restricting itself to a floating sphere of blue as it watched in awe. Walker, now airborne, discharged a great beam of twisting light towards the skies above. The initial burst alone was far in excess of power, and even the lesser Bio-Android could not fail to experience the sheer output of energy. It was as if it was being squashed and squeezed – hugged tightly by some unseen force that had engulfed it without realisation. But even then, the force was minimal. Or, perhaps, it was simply because the vast majorities of said energies were being cast skyward. The singular beam had split and coiled and woven itself again and again, manifesting a great tree of brilliant jade that steadily fizzled to naught.
‘That is a Ki attack… you might have been able to feel it, Azguard.’ ‘Ki feels strange to Azguard,’ the little one replied. ‘But, they think they understand it!’
Plasm resuming something of a humanoid state, the amorphous entity ascended somewhat to try and match Walker’s altitude. In all honesty, it had never flown as high as this before – it had never had a reason to do so. Even so, it was far more fascinated with another prospect, and that was learning how to utilise Ki. The tree’s voiceless words had expressed an interest in combative use of such energy, or at least indicated that such a thing was used primarily for fighting. But, as Azguard’s logic dictated, it was certain that there were ways to use it for the benefit of good health. There were steps to be taken; much as it would a bacterium, the malleable medic needed to break it down bit by bit and uncover it all. Absorption, analysis, and now for manifestation…
Azguard will now try and manifest its own Ki in some way, though at best its Plasm will probably just take on a sort of luminous blue (think of a UV light shining on an old bloodstain).

Cado watched closely as Aiami produced the energy in the palm of her hand. Himself, had never actually been able to physically product it through his hands like that. He started to think to himself ,figuring he needed to learn how to accomplish that feat. Then walker, came forth with a new lesson. Rising into the sky and then speaking to the people of the city, giving them their warning . Cado just stood there, looking upwards into the sky at walker ,watching as walker raised his hand to the sky . Then all of a sudden , From walkers hand, a massive figure of energy rose from walkers hand and propelled upwards. It branched off into multiple directions and the light produced off of it was bright enough to caste a glow over everything it was close to and over.
Hearing walker tell azguard it should have been large enough for him to feel the energy was an understatement . Cado himself, who hadn’t been able to sense energy that well for long, felt it. It sent chills down his spine . “ Walker, that was amazing, How can someone produce that amount of power?” Cado asked, only because he had yet to really run across anyone with a significant amount of power, other than the few people he had met, and none even came close to comparing to walker.

Aiami was smiling at the curious face in the plasm, still holding out the orb, when it reached out to 'eat' it. She stood still throughout it, trusting enough not to jump back, but not quite enough to relax while it happened. Unfortunately, all it had managed to do was snuff out the ki energy, it dissipating after being covered by the shifting blue goo. After Azguard had inadvertently suffocated the ball of ki, she dropped her hand and stood once more, stepping back to observe the weird ooze with a look of confusion and curiosity. She could believe it didn't know what ki was, after all a lot of people didn't know that, but to try and eat it? Walker's voice filled her mind once more, interrupting her thoughts for the moment. He was elaborating further on ki, and she was glad for it. It was clear he was a little more experienced with it, and had a better way of formulating the thoughts into words, something she had never been very good at. When his voice took on an echoing quality, she shook her head, trying to shut the annoying reverb out of her head. To her surprise it had worked, and it was rather easy. She wondered, if she could block it, if she could attempt it herse-- "BUZZSAW YGGDRASIL!" Aiami shivered, being so close to such a massive release of energy sent tingles along her spine. She instinctively took a step back, looking up into the sky to see the massive, glowing oak. When it faded and Walker returned to the ground, she nodded an affirmation to his statement. "I believe I could have felt that from the moon. If Azguard couldn't feel that, I'm not sure he has the ability." On the subject of abilities, she focused her mind, and her energy, directing a thought outwards as a test. "Can... can you all hear this? Or... am I thinking to myself?"

Chuckling slightly, Walker looked at the awed fighters. It was a bit gratifying to see, if he was honest. A reminder of just what he had managed to accomplish. Cracking his neck, he settled back down, looking at the others. Azguard was starting to glow, and he could feel the faint stirrings of Ki manipulation. "Very well done. You're grasping it, if only somewhat."
However, it seemed that was far from the only new skill being learned. Aiami's voice echoed in his head, and he was quickly able to discern it was not through his own telepathic abilites. "Indeed I can. Well done, you picked that up very quickly. If you foster it, it might grow to a powerful tool." Looking about, he examined the trio for a moment. "Well then, Azguard... what will you do now? Any plans?"

‘You’re grasping it, if only somewhat,’ Walker commented. Indeed, Azguard’s ability to process and manipulate Ki was only just sparking into being in any noticeable way, save for its unusual ability to fly. It had never quite comprehended how or why it was able to levitate, but it was likely that such energy’s natural – or unnatural in its case – flow had something to do with it. But alas, the manifestation of Ki as the dryad had done was far beyond what the cellular structure was currently capable of. A luminescence no brighter than a halogen bulb was about the limit for it, before the stresses and strains of such output came to be.
The glow quickly fizzled, much as the great glowing oak had done, as the amorphous entity hovered back down to terra firma. In a sense, it was discovering not just a new power, but also a new feeling: Exhaustion. There was no doubt that learning to harness its natural energies would take some time to properly master, that much Azguard understood. Just as the energies it processed on a regular basis had their limits, Ki was very much the same in that regard. Still, the Bio-Android had learned something new, though it was utterly uncertain of how to better use such a ‘gift’ to further its cause.
‘Can you all hear this…?’
‘Azguard can!’ ‘You picked that up very quickly.’ Apparently, telepathic communication was not just limited to those who lacked the power of oration. Amongst the four, there were now three who could use such abilities, though Aiami’s usage of said power was nowhere near as refined as that of the two Bio-Androids. That being stated, each of the curious quartet was unique in their own right, picking up from one another the most basic of the more extraordinary aspects.
‘Well then, Azguard… what will you do now?’ Walker enquired.
‘Azguard wants – no – Azguard needs to make sure people are healthy,’ replied the autonomous ooze, demonstrating certainty in its cause and morality. It knew no better, nor any worse, and continued to reveal as much as it continued: ‘That is why they exist. If Azguard cannot make people healthy, then they need to find a way to do so! They might be able to use Ki to help…’
It paused. The Core tumbled gently inside the Plasm.
‘But, Azguard does not know what to do next. They know the bacteria and the viruses and everything else here that makes people sick. But people become unhealthy for other reasons, too!’ Somersaulting erratically within its gelatinous confines, the fleshling continued to speak of its ideology – of its ultimate design. Walker had called it a ‘medic’, but unbeknownst to them all, Azguard was far more than that. Or, at the very least, it intended to transcend the limits of sickness and poor health so that it might cleanse the world of all that ails. Intended it might have, but the fact of the matter was that it really did not comprehend even a fraction of what was required to achieve such ends. Just the means themselves were a big enough hurdle to overcome, but the first step was to ask the naïve question:
‘What do you all think Azguard should do next…?’

Cado just stood by and watched everything that was progressing along. These beings still has yet to sink into his mind. The world was strange to him. Yet is was still getting stranger. Aiami was learning new techniques just from being near these two and watching them. Yet himself wasn’t able to comprehend what was going on. She already knew how to use Ki, and yet the only thing cado had learned was to fly. So he would just sit back , to the side of walker and azguard. As azguard tried to learn how to use ki, He himself would attempt to learn how to use it also.

With a heavy grimace on her face, Aiami staggered some after she had mentally projected the words. The effort of telepathy, something she had never tried before and had no formal concept for, had caused a splitting pain to thrash through her skull. She winced, letting out a breath as it thankfully devolved into a minor headache. She shook her head and blinked her eyes open once more at hearing the responses.
"I may have a grasp of it, but I think I will still need to work on it. Trying to push a message out that way, or maybe just the energy... I'm not adjusted to it." The young monk spoke aloud this time, avoiding telepathy for the moment. Walker was right, she could tell it would be a useful tool, but not until she had a chance to learn more about it. That would come later. Besides, if she were Cado, she would feel left out if she were the only one without that ability.
Aiami looked over at Azguard and tilted her head, listening to them. They wanted to make sure people were healthy? Walker was right, then. But how would ki help with that? She had never heard of anything like ki healing, and while she was sure her inner power helped her heal marginally faster than most people, it still wasn't miraculous.
"Well, Azguard... there is always more to know. More to healing than just physical illness, as well." She nodded, thinking of her own mental and emotional struggles, some of which she had worked through just by meeting Azguard. "You could travel, see the world and find knowledge yourself. That's basically what I'm doing now." She shrugged. "But I think it may be harder for many people to interact with you. You are a... very unusual sight."

Tapping his chin, Walker considered Azguard's question. What should the nascent Bio-Android do now? There were many answers, but for their kind, only one would do. "You should evolve. How you accomplish that is up to you." He gestured to himself, body shifting slightly as the long root-like muscles twisted. "I accomplished my growth via force of will and accumulation of power, but it can also be done by absorbing others." He raised his hand, shaking it slightly in admonishment.
"Now, this doesn't mean you should just try to eat people. Think of it..." He paused. He was not much of a science-oriented being, but even so...
Deep in his consciousness remained the scientist, the 'spark' that had lit the flame of his soul with his first reflexive absorption, so long ago now. He had been a biologist, and the tree drew on that knowledge to explain his position to the more scientifically-minded Azguard. "It is like a white blood cell. Appropriate, given how you appear. Reacting to things that might poison or harm the body, in this case, the earth, you not only heal the individuals, but the world itself." He mimed Azguard flowing around someone with his hands, fingers wrapping around one fist. "Some beings need to be stopped, and taking their power will make you more able to help others. But, if you consume those who are good, you have failed in your mission to help people, yes?"
It was a crude metaphor, but dredging up knowledge from a long-dead soul within an animate tree was not the most easy of tasks. Honestly, he was shocked he managed to get this much. Perhaps the sight of Azguard had nudged those memories for some reason? He pondered this.
Looking over at Aiami as she commented, he nodded slowly. "You may encounter that, yes. Your form is unusual, so you must instead demonstrate the strength of your soul to them. Show them what you intend, what cause you would champion, and they will judge you on that, rather than your squishy exterior."

It was curious that a tree would have such knowledge of animal immune systems, but nonetheless Walker was well aware of what and how Leukocytes functioned – and by extension how Azguard achieved its abilities. Absorption was nothing unfamiliar to the amorphous entity, for it constantly consumed bacteria and other microscopic organisms to test them, and to learn from them. Sure, there was no chance of such beings providing it with enough energy to ‘evolve’ as Walker mentioned, and the alternative was – as mentioned – the exact opposite of its intent.
‘Force of will…?’ it quizzed passively. A creation birthed of science, the concept of evolution via determination was far more alien to the naïve soul than most. But, with new knowledge in hand (sort of), it was more than possible for some degree of pseudoscience to be attributed to it. Sheer willpower might not have made sense, but perhaps what the dryad had meant was Ki? Ki was energy, and energy was natural – was scientific.
“It may be harder for many people to interact with you,” Aiami added. “You are a… very unusual sight.”
‘Show them what you intend.’ ‘…’ Azguard remained silent for a moment. The Plasm of its form shifted somewhat, retaining the humanoid form; the closest thing it could achieve. Fitting in in a world of all manner of shapes and sizes was no easy task, which had been made certain early in the gel’s life. But now, with additional confirmation of how strange it appeared, it was uncertain of what to do next. It had adopted such a form based on instinctual knowledge and exposure to anthropomorphism, never once considering whether or not it really fitted in with what people were used to.
‘Azguard will do so!’ The Core somersaulted once more, making a vague gesture akin to a fist pump with a single slick arm. Truth be told, its current ‘coat’ was a very vague silhouette of what humans looked like – arms and legs were disproportionate and torso and head lacked any real definition. Perhaps evolution was a two part process? Could it become more like the humans it tried to emulate and aid? Furthermore, could it learn and gain enough strength to grow to such a level? These were questions Azguard asked itself.
‘Walker. Aiami. Cado.’ It turned its attentions. ‘What will you do next? Why do you exist…?’

Cado listened closely to the conversations between the others. Gaining knowledge was what he wanted. He himself had to learn things, just as azguard and aiami was learning also. This world was new to him , one that he knew nothing about. At the end of the conversation asguard asked, why they exist, what will they do next. This made him think. He really didn’t know what he would be doing next. He was just basically going with the flow of things, and stumbling upon events, kind of like he did this one. “ Asguard, I’m not real sure. I’m not sure why I exist yet, but I hope one day to find out. As far as what I would be doing next. I’m not sure about that either. I will probably travel and explore this planet more, see what it has to offer. Whatever I stumble upon, hopefully it would be something good, and creative like this was. I don’t know many people here yet, and I’m glad I stumbled upon you three. I’ve learned some useful knowledge from each of you, and glad to call each of you a friend. “ Cado looked up at walker to see what his remarks would be.

When Walker started talking about absorbing people, Aiami looked up with a concerned face, eyes wide in disbelief at the suggestion. He did add the caveat about only absorbing that which was harmful, but even still; she much preferred his suggestion about the force of will. It was much more in line with her own belief, as well. Bettering oneself was rarely the easiest way forward, but was always worth it, she found. Even if it meant hours of practice and determination. The thoughts made her reflect on her own growth, which made her in turn think about how much further she had to go. It was always a thought in the back of her mind, but brought to the forefront by Walker's display of power. An apt demonstration of the vast threshold she had to cross.
The thoughts were dispelled as Walker added onto her own suggestion, and it was a welcome one. After all, Azguard had basically just proved his intentions during the brief conversation they had. Aiami offered a smile to the medical bio-android, glad they had taken the words to heart... Or whatever served as their heart. Though it was shaped in a more humanoid fashion at the moment, she still couldn't see anything else in the gel besides the core.
As Cado answered Azguard's questions, she pondered her own answer. The first was easy enough to answer, but the second she had struggled with before. "Well, I think I'll head south. It's a little too cold up here for my tastes. Likely travel more, as I still haven't run out of places to see." She nodded, but her brow furrowed as she started on the next question. "... Not many are lucky enough to know with absolute certainty why they exist, or what their purpose is. In this regard, I very much envy you, Azguard." She smiled. "I suppose for now, I exist to become better than I was yesterday."

Why did he exist? A heavy question. "Well, there are two ways to answer that. Why I exist at all is simple. I was, like you, made. I had a purpose, but mine was supposed to be that of a mindless slave. A soldier, who would die for it's owners. I chose otherwise." He folded his hands behind his back. "As for why I continue... I have things which I want to protect. Goals I wish to achieve. I have been alive for barely a year, and there is so much more to do."
He stared upwards for a moment, examining the vastness of space that lay above the atmosphere. "For every realm of power I enter, another beckons just beyond the horizon. I wonder... is there truly any limit? So many remain where they are, but a few like myself, or Kaula, or the Saiyan Queen... they seem to ceaselessly become stronger."
Shaking his head, he turned back. "I apologize. I was distracted. I hope that was satisfactory. Well then, Azguard, if you ever need anything, you have only to contact me. Seek out my energy, or contact me via Telepathy." He looked around. "I may be able to help you two as well, if you require. As it is, let me offer this piece of advice." He gestured upwards, to where his attack had been minutes before.
"One of the strongest people I have ever seen was a man. Bing Gan, Guardian of Earth. He could send Super Saiyans crashing to the dirt, and he was a Human. When I first met him, less than 2 years ago, He was not much stronger than Aiami, at best." Gesturing to the two weaker fighters, he clenched his fist with a resounding "Crack".
"You can always strive higher. Find what drives you, and pursue it until you cannot walk another step."
