Core was highly amused that his friend wanted a tail, in fact, he was wondering if it was really impossible, there must be a way to make him grow a tail, that wouldn’t be surprising after Core was grown out of a couple of cells after all. The young Arcosian child could see that his words were affecting Sai in a good way, saying that he was some sort of hero made him seemingly want to contribute to it as well, which Core was really happy about, since Sai could be his partner should the worst happen and it would be nice not to be alone in this little fun of saving people, plus it was helping Core getting accepted in this world that was naturally hostile to his species because of the past’s mistake they did, but since Wyntre came to power and until her death, the Arcosian became a much nicer species, though it was impossible the erase the past genocides.
While both of them were eating the sundae that was clearly living up to its reputation of being the best one in the world, which Core was doubting at first but having the first bite and all the others that followed, it was clear to him that everything he heard about this place was totally true, from the best sundae ever to anything else about their products that were apparently all delicious, though their sundae was the apex of everything they had, which was really specific if you asked Core but he didn’t minded. When his friend answered his question, him too between two bite of this marvelous desert, Core would listen to him and smiled a bit. ‘’ Well that’s false now because I care about you… and honestly, even in the hardest spar ever, I wouldn’t bring you to the brink of death… I’m not a killer… but if you want to become stronger, I can help you with that… there is a lot I can do for you!’’ Core would tell him happily, hoping his friend would accept his help to become really strong, he knew Sai could be since he was a saiyan hybrid, the same as Celmaru.
When the waitress came to pet them, Core would leave out a weird purr-like sound, he really liked when people petted his bio-gem on his head and it would glow a bit of satisfaction when she, he would then look at her a bit shy as he smiled. ‘’ S-sorry miss… I got carried away by your pet…’’ He would admit shyly, a slight blush on his face was rising before he turned back to his friend, trying to ignore what just happened there, showing he was really just a child in the end.

Sai couldn’t help but smile when Core said that he cared for him. He was the first person to ever say that, and he held a special place in his heart now. Then when he said that he would never bring Sai to the brink of death, Sai enjoyed Core’s company much more. “If you want to help me become stronger, I’d love that. Having a friend and a training partner in the same person is great! Plus, spending any time with you is fun!”
Sai didn’t even bother to look at what Core did when the women pet him; he was too busy eating his sundae; which is why he finished it early. The sundae gave him a sugar rush, which he realized when he was kind of jumping in place. His eyes grew larger and he told Core, “So Core? What do you want to do now?...”

As the conversation with Sai was going on and on, the young Arcosian was really realizing he was appreciating the company of his new friend more and more, and if he was to become his training partner, it would be even funnier to train and he wouldn’t have to be alone most of the time. When Sai spoke his though himself, Core would smile even wider. ‘’ Of course I want to help you! Because training you will still be training for me, and plus, you know, having one more strong friend can’t be bad, if you are willing to become a protector like there is few on Earth, then It will be one more of us against all threat that could come to Earth, so yes, I’ll gladly train you!’’ Core would say as he kept playing with his spoon while talking without realizing it really.
When Core finished his sundae, around the time Sai finished his own, he could sense his metabolism consuming the sugar, which would in term increase his excitement and energy and was making him a bit unstable on the spot, he would look at Sai when he asked his question , making the Arcosian smirk. ‘’ What do you think of a race? We go in a straight line in one direction and the first to lap the Earth once win the race, what do you think?’’ The young Arcosian would propose to his friend while getting up from his chair and walked toward the exit, waiting for him. ‘’ I’m sure you’re up for it, aren’t you~?’’ He would say a bit challenging as he walked out of the shop and went to fly over the crowd of people in the street, waiting for his friend that for him, would certainly accept his challenge.

Sai was fairly shocked when he heard about some ‘protectors of the Earth’. He had never heard the term used before, and it was fairly new to him. He never thought about people devoting their lives to protect the planet they loved. It was sort of a foreign dialect to him, since all he knew about was protecting the ones he loved directly; not a whole planet. He was intrigued about this group, and his full state of mind went to them as he thought about who they might be, how many people were in it, and how many villains had they fought. It was interesting, as interesting as tails in Sai’s mind.
He didn’t realize that he had spent about five minutes day dreaming about this group, and couldn’t even ask Core about it when he asked for a race with Sai. Sai didn’t feel mad at Core, he didn’t mind; after all, maybe it was just for the best that he didn’t know more about this group. Sai believed that things happen for the best, and life plays out as it should. Sai smirked at Core and said, “What do you think of me?! Of course I’m up for a race. Especially since, I’m a win” After he said that, he shot Core a wink and began to stretch his limbs as to get ready for this race.

Core could see that something he said had shocked Sai, though he really couldn’t think of something he said that could surprise anyone, it was maybe the fact that he told him he could be as strong as him or almost and join the upper league? But that wouldn’t make sense since he told him he got this strong out of training, but maybe it was from the fact that he mentioned that Earth had protectors and that Core wasn’t the strongest of them obviously, but again, this would be obvious since Core was still just a child, and Core really didn’t saw something that could shock him that much, but he decided not to mention it, of course Earth had some protectors, otherwise the first alien planet to find them would have conquer them without resistance and attached it to their empire, since Earth has so much unique things to it.
The young Arcosian would smirk widely at his friend’s reaction to his proposal, he couldn’t wait to race against him and lowered his power level to something closer to Sai so there wouldn’t be any really unfair advantages for him, of course at his full power he could lap the Earth without Sai even exiting the city, and that wouldn’t be any fun at all since he really wanted to push Sai into his limits of speed, that was secretly one of Core’s first training toward Sai, but if he’d tell him, it would be less funny and he wanted Sai to show him maximum potential not out of wanting to show it to Core, but through wanting to beat Core in this race, it was a nice way to both have fun and see what Sai was truly capable of. Core was still waiting for his friend above the crowd, his power level intensely suppressed and a smile on his face. He knew there was more to Sai that he was sensing, he knew this from Celmaru's own metabolism as an hybrid. '' Common Sai, you're already so slow, do you really think you can win when i'll still waiting for you at the start of it~?'' He would say in a challenging voice.

Sai looked out at Core, since Core was already outside. Yet, Sai always meant well, so before he left the café he went over to the waitress and manager. “Arigato, for the Sundaes. They were delicious. And sorry if we were noisy while we were here! ~” The two smiled and told him that they could come back anytime. Sai loved to see that there were people as kind as these that existed on Earth.
He then walked out of the café and heard Core shout out something about him being slow and couldn’t win. Sai had a smirk on his face as he said, “Hey, don’t worry I can always do things my way. Whether I win or lose, that isn’t the matter here. You know why it isn’t the matter? Because I’m a win.” He shot Core a wink as he stopped right beside him. He began to stretch his legs, just because he could.

The waitress would look at Sai with a bit of a smile as he said thanks to her in Japanese, which was something she wasn’t expecting but simply rolled with it as he kept speaking in English afterward. ‘’ Well, you’re welcome little guy, any of Core’s friend is a friend of us as well, you’re welcome to return anything you want~’’ The late-teen girl would say, waving at him happily as he left the place, she would then return to work as a couple of customers came through the door and began to give her work, it was truly a job where you have no rest, this place was way too well known to have a slacker day, it was always packed or getting packed at every moment of the day, but all the employees there were just so nice and welcoming, it was understandable why everyone would keep coming back.
The young Arcosian would look at his friend getting out of the café, saying he was going to win over him, which made the young changeling smile widely and shake his head. ‘’ That is very unlikely my friend, as I am really fast you see, but I’m going to suppress myself so that’s even, but I sure hope you give me a challenge, it wouldn’t be fun otherwise~’’ Core told his head as he waited for him to get on part with him before starting to count down the departure; Core was very confident that he could win this, and in fact, he was planning on winning no matter what, since he wanted to push Sai a bit further, it would be good to play along and use his pride as a half-saiyan to see if he had something more in his stomach. When the countdown came to zero, Core would launch toward the east, the race had begun and he was going at full speed straight from the start.

Sai was still fairly happy when the waitress greeted him with such politeness. The employees worked so hard there, and Sai was fairly appreciative. When she walked back to her job, Sai placed a 10 zeni coin piece in her back pocket. Just a nice tip that Sai wanted to give the women that worked a hard, and long job. Then when Core told him that he had suppressed his strength, he was fairly mad but he didn’t really show it at all. It would’ve been a miracle if Core figured out that he was kind of mad. Sai shot him a smile, and said “Well then, let’s go. Suppressed power or not, I’ll still beat you!” He grinned then laughed as he closed his eyes. He put himself in a running pose, and then looked back at Core. “Well, move it; the faster you lose the more we can train!”

The young Arcosian would smirk to his friend when he said that he’d beat him even if he wasn’t suppressing, which was totally not true but Core simply nodded, no need to insult his friend after all, he knew that last time he suppressed his power was with Ninjin and she took it wrongly and didn’t realized he did the same thing with Sai, however his friend seemed to have taken it well so he would simply smile at him and shrug it off. ‘’ Oh, even with me suppressed you will lose~’’ Core would whisper to him playfully as he got into running stance and waited next to Sai, they needed a signal for when to begin, he looked around a bit confused as he looked for something that would give them the time of departure, looking around for a moment, he found what he was searching and turned to Sai.
‘’Okay Sai, when the screen ahead shows fifteen o clock, we go, right?’’ He would say as the clock was already at fourteen and fifty nine, his eyes couldn’t quite the clock as he waited for the signal to finally come off, the excitement in his body would rise as he finally saw the change on the clock and instantly pushed himself forward and began to fly in a straight line at his fastest, he had not to give Sai anytime forward at all, deep within, even if it was a test for Sai and everything, Core wanted to beat him, there was just this playful rivalry between the two already and Core was getting in the mood really quickly, making his blood boil more and more while he was getting faster and faster as time went, making his image blurr a bit and leaving a trail of fiery ki behind him.

Sai couldn’t help but get excited for this race between Core and himself. They were great friends after all, but Sai needed to win. He was one for winning things; not loosing them. As his friend told him to begin the race at fifteen o’clock, Sai was already in position and everything beside Core. He was ready to win this, he was ready to prove himself. Immediately when the clock switched he jumped forward out of his position and began to fly; leaving his own blue aura behind.
As he looked forward, he saw Core fairly ahead of him; and Sai was dashing and as time went by he got faster. Yet, so did Core, and by the time Sai fully looked up; Core was about a meter ahead of him. How could he be losing so quickly. His blood began to boil...

When the race began, Core was already excited about it, not really by the race, but the thing that excited him was the fact that he would be able to see Sai’s true potential, he was absolutely sure of it. Sai was a child, just like him, but Core knew better about some things, including how to trigger the rage of someone that his hot-blooded, and the fact that his new friend was a half-saiyan was making it even easier, he would just have to taunt and tease him a bit while winning and that would probably do the trick, a child was way easier to trigger and a saiyan had his pride that was a weakness, both these facts made it way too easy for the young Arcosian, he smirked widely to himself as he was a bit ahead of him, now it was time to execute his plan.
While he was ahead of Sai and getting further from him by the seconds, Core would turn to him, still flying backward and would look at him and yawn a bit. ‘’ Is that all you go Sai~? Maybe I’ll have to slow down for you to catch up uh~? I honestly thought you’d be faster than that with all that confidence of yours, I’m a bit disappointed~’’ Core would say to his friend in a fake mocking voice, of course he didn’t though all of this mean thing he was saying but it was necessary to trigger Sai’s hidden potential, something Core knew he had inside of him, and either he didn’t wanted to show it to Core or he didn’t knew himself that he had that within, which were both quite good excuse, but Core still wanted him to trigger and show him what he could do at his best.

When Core began to mock Sai, he felt his blood boiling inside of him. He felt it all rising up, the anger and frustration he had been hiding deep inside him through all of his tough times. From his parents leaving him alone all the time and not being there, to when Arias punched him in the face knocking him out. Sai had all this pent up anger, and normally if he let Core play with him he would’ve lost his cool.
Sai knew what Core was trying to do, at least in his mind. He thought that Core was trying him to get mad to throw him off; to get him distracted; but Sai wasn’t going to fall for that! Sai focused much more on winning the race, and boosted as he went even faster than before; trying to catch up to Core. Sai smiled as he began to move faster and faster. Yet nothing as fast as what Core was currently doing. Even though he was suppressing his strength, Sai was still miserably losing to him. He couldn't get angry now. No, he wouldn't... ‘Nobody’s tricking me today’, Sai thought.

The young Arcosian saw that Sai was trying to keep from triggering, making Core a bit annoyed at the fact that he was actually trying to trigger him and show the hybrid what he could truly do, Core truly believed the fact that he was both a saiyan and a child would have helped make this easy, but apparently, even if Sai was his friend, Core would have to take the big manner in order to trigger his true power. The Arcosian pushed himself faster and faster, trying to give some sort of area between them were he could execute his plan with ease, he had to keep a head start from Sai, and otherwise it wouldn’t work so easily. Core would think to himself as he turned back again at Sai, his ki gathering up in his hands.
The Arcosian closed his eyes for a moment as he was still flying really fast backward, he had to focus a maximum for his plan to be a success without hurting Sai for real, he didn’t wanted his friend to have some injuries because for Core’s kind of selfish need to see his friend at his maximum potential. The Arcosian was making sure none of the blast hit Sai, but they all were meant to explode close to him so that he’d feel some danger at the very least, Core’s plan was a bit of a draft, if it wasn’t to work, Sai would probably look weirdly at Core for the rest of his life and probably not be his friend anymore, but Core didn’t had this detail in mind, all he wanted was to show Sai that he was stronger than he thought he was, and he was sure determined to show him.

He continued to fly as his Arcosian comrade was fairly ahead of him. As he was soaring, he saw that Core began to advance rapidly over him, meaning he was up to something. Sai wasn’t so sure what it was, but Core was up to something. Core thinks a lot, and if he did something like this; Sai knew that something was about to happen.
Sai looked at Core, that had begun to draft a ki sphere and instantly Sai knew what he was up to. Would he really throw the energy ball at his friend? Would he really do such a cheeky thing just to ensure his victory? Ugh, he didn’t know what to think about Core now. He was his best-friend and all, but this low? To be honest, so many things were flowing through Sai’s mind. What was Core going to do...

When Core turned back with a ki-ball in his hand, he would feel a bit of remorse for what he was going to do, but it was really all to show that Sai was able to do great things if he was pushed forward enough, and he wished to make him understand that even if he was technically stronger, everyone had a greater power lying inside, waiting for the user to finally call upon it and release his full potential. ‘’ Common Sai! Show me all you got!’’ He would shout out as he pushed the ball forward, the ki-ball would then send plenty of small balls, visibly shrinking while doing so. [Please Sai… there won’t hit you, just scare you… but please be scared enough to show me your true potential!] Core would think deep inside, hoping that his friend would realize he had a way to beat him if Core was saying in this suppressed mode.
While firing his ki-blast, Core didn’t realized that he was slowing down, his friend slowly making his way towards him as Core smirked [Is it working? He’s going faster?! No… he’s still the same… maybe if he lands a punch or two it would help him?] Core would think to himself as he slowed down a bit more. When they arrived at the same distance, Core would look at him in the eyes and smirked. [Now dammit! Show it to me now!] He would think as held his firing hand near his chest, though it wasn’t shooting any ki-blast anymore.
