Of all the places to be, Namek had some of the best scenery. Even the trees smelled different, greener, somehow. Probably a psychosomatic effect, Belle always had fond memories of Namek. For better or for worse if she could choose one place to settle down eventually, it would be Namek’s Maima Region. Some place remote, preferably one of the small islands - maybe she could have it to herself, the notion of owning an island wasn’t unheard of, especially for smaller ones. After the strange landing of the even stranger people, Belle headed to the beach for some much needed rest and relaxation. With notebook and pen she went back to the song that needed to be done by tomorrow and frowned, not liking anything she’d written on the page already. No, she liked some of it, but the last few parts had to go. Scratching them out with two solid lines through each phrase, she scribbled furiously, writing rhyming words on the margins whenever she got stuck. The chorus, at least, repeated somewhat. Sure, she could make small changes here and there but for the most part the words and beat remained the same. Tongue sticking out just a little between perfectly formed teeth, Belle made real headway into this song, relieved at the prospect of getting it done on time. Her missing a deadline was a rare event, indeed, but it had happened and usually because she had too much on her shoulders, got overwhelmed, or was given too short notice - all three of those hit her now. On top of the added, last minute shows in Namek to pick up Arynx’s slack - the venues needed someone to fill in those canceled shows due to his ‘mechanical issues,’ and then the fact she’d accepted a movie deal for the first time in years, Belle was feeling the pressure. This deadline could have been the bolt that broke the Bio-Android’s back. Instead, she took it in stride like like she did everything else. Her encounter with the other Bio-Android, Xeru, stuck in her mind with how close to home it hit. Someday, when she was ready, she’d write a song about it. Today was not that day, tomorrow wouldn’t be, either. But sooner rather than later, that day would come.

The wind flowed through his scruffy blonde hair, as he was jogging around the field to get more used to the weights he was wearing. The first time wearing them left a bad taste in his mouth, however the after effects of it were quite handy, Kaito could feel power flowing inside his body. The fresh Namekian air pressed against his whole body as he jogged for several more rounds, until he stopped. Kaito adjusted his hair back to the right shape and inhaled deeply and exhaled with a happy face. "I'm loving this." The human looked around the place he was on. Slowly but surely, Kaito was starting to get more familiar with this area, called Maima Region. The land consisted of a lot of small islands with beaches that pleased your eye. Along the coastlines, rested a wide variety of plant and animal life. Namek had a lot of interesting things in it, that Kaito was beginning to take a liking to this planet. He imagined how it would be whether Earth's and Namek's governments linked with each other. Both parties would benefit from this solely for the natural features of the planets.
Trying not to get too lost in his thoughts, Kaito was snapped back to reality when he heard few footsteps. It was Gnash. It looked like everyone had left. Well, naturally everyone had their own plans and schedules. Riku was probably making fun of some random Namekian and scaring them off with his sinister look. The Saiyan had a weird way of having fun so that wouldn't be surprising. Kaito and Gnash were alone again, just like back in Earth, now in Namek. During the whole time, Kaito had developed a good friendship with the Namekian and he considered him a good friend now. Kaito started to slowly approach Gnash, with a big smile on his face.
"Hey, Gnash."
Kaito thought of an idea. Why not visit other places of Maima Region? He had already seen most things this island had to offer, and it was time to move onto another. It would be relaxing too, and Kaito looked forward to actually know more of Gnash. Kaito raised his index finger up with a bright look on his face.
"What do you say about a stroll around there?"
Kaito pointed towards a numerous set of islands.
"You decide on what beach we'll land on, Gnash-san"

[Heavy Weights Equipped - Thread PL: 41,878 || With Weights: 10,469]
The Maima Region; A vast expanse of islands that peppered the landscape, surrounded by the green waters in which Gnash could never get used to. The broccoli trees were ever so present in this area, dotting the plethora of islands. One of the islands in particular had been covered in them, forming a miniature forest. The scarred Namek had found that to be quite neat, though nothing compared to the variety Earth offered. Everything on Namek kind of looked the same, no matter where you went. He’d heard rumors that the Northern Scar, a forbidden area in which Namekians were not allowed to travel, offered a few more choices to the landscape card, but not much. He would’ve checked it out himself, had it not been for the fact that it was forbidden. He wanted to stay on good terms with the locals.
He couldn’t help but shake the feeling of dread every time he glanced over his new home. A feeling of regret took hold of his spirit every single time. This was his rightful home. It was the planet he was born on, and yet he felt as if he didn’t belong. As if he didn’t WANT to belong. There were some memorable individuals here, such as the Namekian Rock, or the cotton-candy girl he’d witnessed earlier during their landing, but not enough. He couldn’t justify spending the rest of his life on this planet. Gnash had always been a laid back guy, not one for crazy antics or anything of the sort.. But like any normal sentient being, he had a sense of curiosity about him. A sense of adventure. He had to face the fact that he wouldn’t get either of those two things staying on this planet.
The Namekian Cordian was also one to mention, but even he told Gnash to follow his heart. He told him to go wherever his spirit took him, and if that was off of Planet Namek, then so be it. He wanted so desperately to find the will inside of him to stay, but the cons outweighed the pros. He didn’t want to live a mediocre life. Just sitting in a village and training every day with little to no interaction with distinct individuals. At least on Earth, there were billions upon billions of people in which you could befriend. There were even animal people. But on Namek.. Everything was the same. Gnash brought his fist to his chin, resting his head down upon the makeshift prop. “I really am wasting away here…”
Gnash’s ears twitched around inside of the hood when he felt a familiar ki signature land on the ground behind him. Despite being suppressed, he knew exactly who it was; One of his best friends, Kaito. A human whom he’d met on Earth, right before his departure to Namek. He’d eagerly expressed an interest to travel around with Gnash to his home planet, throwing aside his own well-being. Then, they met up with the Saiyan of Darkness, Riku. The three of them sat around Fukurou Forest and dabbled in minimal conversation before the Saiyan offered up his own services in exchange for them allowing him to travel to Namek with them.
Soon after they landed, Riku was gone. He was more than likely off scaring some Namekian kids or terrorizing the villagers with his very presence. It seemed as if Kaito, however, decided to stick around the area for a bit. Gnash lifted himself from his depressing stump and approached the human, a bright smile spreading across his lips. “Hey bud. How goes it?” He asked in a polite tone. Almost as soon as the words left his lips, Kaito jumped into the air, a mini-light bulb appearing next to his head. This usually meant the human had some wacky idea for them to indulge in. He suggested that they take a gander at the surrounding locations and possibly go for a walk, explore a little bit. It sounded like a painfully boring idea, but it was better than him sitting down and hating himself for coming here.
“Mmm.. Alright.” Gnash’s yellow hues scanned the several islands in which Kaito had pointed towards. He felt another power level resonating from within the middle of those islands, one that tickled his fancy. And by tickling his fancy he meant that he’d witnessed this signature before. It felt oddly similar to the cotton-candy-colored woman he’d seen earlier during their initial landing. “I think there is someone over there.. Do you remember that power level? Let’s go.” A calm, thin white aura surrounded his green frame as he ascended into the fresh Namekian air, his antenna pointing towards the small island in which Belle was situated on.
Within a few minutes, he landed upon the bluegrass, arm resting loosely at his sides. He had been correct, as the individual he felt was indeed the cotton-candy lady. He was sitting down between a couple of rocks, pen and paper settled upon her lap. Judging by the way her tongue flicked between her perfect teeth, she was just as stressed out as Gnash had been. Probably not for the same reasons, though.
He looked between Kaito and the women before taking a step forward, clearing his throat so that he could make his presence known. “Erm.. Hello, miss. I think I remember seeing you when my friend and I touched down upon this planet.. Correct me if I am wrong?”

Arynx. Just the name was enough to bring her blood to a boil. Checking her datapad, she saw he’d pulled some publicity stunt giving away his signature jacket to an older fan. Belle did things like that all the time, but instead of making sure cameras saw it, she make sure they didn’t. Fans could get stalked for less, Arynx really should know better. And just like with his errant fans that tried to kidnap her and designed to have her killed, her rock star rival didn’t seem to care about consequences. Taking a break, she looked down at the progress she’d made and frowned. No, it wasn’t done and, no, none of it was perfect. Really, Belle came down on herself too hard and knew it. Taking a deep breath, she tried to imagine what Mother Nature would say.
'It’s alright, buttercup. Try taking a break, come back to it, distract your mind with other things…' Times like now when things were so peaceful and quiet, she could hear the words in Nature’s voice. This wasn’t happening, this song, not today, anyway. Maybe tonight, when she had more time on her hands. Wait, no, she never really had more time on her hands than she did now. Even on her ‘free’ time, Tyler had her running tons of errands, despite being on her thirtieth wedding anniversary trip with Nature.
Deep in thought, when the Namekian cleared his throat, Belle startled. Having not even heard them approach, concentrating on the song, to say she was surprised would win understatement of the year award. Turning to face him she looked up and continued to do so until her eyes found his face. Used to being shorter than others at just under five feet, from the ground the tall seemed even more intimidating. Her face never showed any hint of that reticence as she smiled, seeing the human standing with him.
He spoke of meeting earlier when they landed and she wracked her brain, recalling the event, and trying to remember if they said their names. She met so many people all the time that sometimes names were hard for her. Faces, however, she felt particularly skilled at recognizing those and these two proved little exception with their flashy landing earlier. Alas, their names escaped her, too much going on in the brain these days to remember things she might not need later. Getting up so they weren’t so far away she looked from one to the other and said, “Nope, not wrong…" Did she feel a little bad for not remembering? Not really. “That was quite an entrance you made back there,” she flashed each of them one of her million dollar smiles.
Her friend Harrison once told her she had several smiles and that his favorite was when she thought no one was looking, and his least favorite was the one millions fell in love with every day. They’d both been in too deep drinking that night and he’d probably forgotten all about it, but the memory stayed with her and helped produce more of the smiles he liked. This smile she gave them was the other one and she knew it, but that was okay, they didn’t know her smiles better than she did - like Hare did.

The blonde haired human noticed how his Namekian friend wasn't in his best mood. Well, telling that such a reserved and gloomy person like Gnash was sad, was an impressive feat in Kaito's side. If anything, this meant that they both were getting more familiar and learning each other's habits. God knows what might have happened to ruin Gnash's spirits, however Kaito had a vague idea in his head. Regardless, the smile that glued on his face was just to fool Gnash that Kaito didn't really see what was going on. Of course Kaito would bring it up, but he saved it for later. Right now he asked the Namekian a question and he was expecting an answer.
Gnash suggested that they should go to that island, whilst pointing with his green coloured finger and sharpened nail. He also noted that he was sensing a familiar Ki pattern, of someone they had met back then when they landed in Namek. "Now that you mention it..." Kaito focused more and also got the same results, that Ki was painfully familiar. "If I'm right, the owner of that Ki is a blue skinned woman with cotton candy pink hair hair. I didn't particularly have a proper conversation with her. She seemed like an interesting and busy person too. Let's go."
A thin white aura bursted open, and surrounded Kaito's flesh. Kaito floated in the air, and after locking his eyes on that island that woman was on, the duo set off while leaving thing and long horizontal clouds. In a matter of minutes, they arrived in the place she was on. Apparently it was a nice looking beach with a steady and boring wind coming from the sea. There, sitting on a couple of boulders, lied the woman. She had the same dark cloud above her head, similar to Gnash. These guys were depressed. Kaito could tell that much. After scanning the woman for a little more, Kaito noticed that she was writing on a notebook, however something was hindering her from unfolding her ideas fully on the paper.
Gnash was the one who talked first. He asked her whether she was the same person they had met back then. She didn't deny that it was correct, and she also commended their entrance, displaying a rich and valuable smile. "Well, thanks. We were also surprised that a large number of warriors arrived in that area rather fast. Anyway, we're here because we thought having a word with you would be interesting. My name is Kaito and I'm a human from Earth." The woman's replies were rather short and dull though, and Kaito was wondering whether he and Gnash were getting on her way. He hoped that wasn't the case.
Kaito made some steps forward while walking past Belle. He took a small rock that he found lying on the ground, and tossed it towards the water. The rock flew while touching the water's surface and bouncing every time it made contact with it. The rock's speed was insanely fast, and it continued bouncing until it couldn't be seen anymore. As this all happened, Kaito was pondering on finding a way to kill their depression.
He turned back and addressed to Gnash. "Gnash, I... think I know why you're so in low spirits." Kaito halted for a little bit before continuing. "You have found Namek rather underwhelming, right? Back on Earth, you had eyes full of hope and inspiration. That was also the reason I decided to go with you and Riku all the way here. Once you stepped on this planet you have changed drastically, and seeing you like this is spoiling it all for me. I can't bear it." Kaito took another small break. He was carefully picking his words. "You... want to go back to Earth, right?"
Kaito shifted his vision and gazed at Belle. "The same applies for you too actually, I think. I don't know much about you but I sure can tell that there's something that's keeping you back from showing your best."
The gi-toted human turned back around and faced the sea yet once again, embracing the warm and striking sun rays and light wind while crossing his arms. "What do you say we set off for an adventure?"

The cotton-candy lady didn’t seem all that thrilled to speak with them. While her dazzling smile surely brightened up the small island they were standing on, the tone of her voice said differently. Much like Gnash himself, she didn’t like like she was enjoying her day all that much. How could he blame her? This planet was nothing but small islands and broccoli trees. They looked delicious, but non-edible. Gnash tried eating one during some of his free time, and just ended up with one big splinter piercing into the fleshy muscle that resided within his mouth. Luckily for him, a rather feminine Namekian within Avishta village managed to pull it out with ease. Of course, he had to make up some sort of dumb excuse as to why his tongue was against a tree in the first place.
Other than that little incident and meeting a few Namekian brethren, there wasn't absolutely nothing to do on New Namek. Most landscapes were just barren, with a few villages scattered here and there. Even then, the people weren’t all that exciting to hand out with. Especially with both Kaito and Riku having been off indulging in their own shenanigans, Gnash was left to his thoughts. Those thoughts brought forth doubt. Before he could sink too deep within his own mind and delve into the negative thoughts, which would have surely awakened “Him”, Kaito arrived and insisted they go on some sort of adventure together. The Human was always good for occupying your time.
That brought the two of them face to face with a rather unenthusiastic cotton-candy lady. Gnash spoke first, attempting to inquire information on whether or not she was the one they’d seen during their landing. She was, and even commented on how flashy their entrance upon the new planet was. When Gnash recalled it, he didn’t remember it being all that extravagant. Then again, they attracted a plethora of people towards them, so it wasn’t exactly subtle either.
“Mmm.. yea, I guess so. My name is Gnash, by the way. If you weren’t able to catch it back there. What might your name be?” Gnash spoke with grace, not wanting to startle the woman. His attention was dragged away from her for the moment. Yellow saucers secured themselves to Kaito’s seated figure. He was able to read Gnash perfectly, stating how much his entire demeanor had changed since arriving on this rather desolate globe. With a hearty grin, he responded to his friend; “Hmph.. Is it really that obvious? I guess I am a tad.. Disappointed. I expected there to be more than just this. More than just green water and blue grass. It’s different. Meeting my own people was nice… but just uneventful. I guess my expectations were just too high. I read too many books back on Earth that my interest rose to unimaginable heights. I didn’t know it would be this… Boring.”
The observant human tossed Belle into the same boat as Gnash, saying that she probably felt the same way he did. His jolly tone picked up as he rose from his rock, fists being planted firmly against his hips. His suggestions was they they set off on some random adventure, just to get their minds off of these depressing thoughts. It wasn’t a bad plan by any means, but it wasn’t good either. There wasn’t much to do on Namek, evident by their behavior.
“You know I am all for it, Kaito.. But what is there to do? Where do we go? The villages around here provide nothing both conversations. Dull ones at that. I have come to love a few of the individuals here, but it.. It just isn’t satisfying. The Northern Scar sounds intriguing, if we want to get exiled by everyone on the planet. What are we to do?”

To be honest, as an outsider Belle didn't know much about Namek. She kept on top of topics such as intergalactic events, bit deal groups rising out of nowhere, and, of course, anything Arynx did. Ever since that crazy group of his fans nearly kiled her, she'd kept tabs on the pesky little guitarist. When Kaito thanked her and introduced himself, bluntly stating they thought she was interesting, she let her guard down a little. Did...they not know who she was? Did they...live under a rock or something? Even if they did, the possibility was refreshing. She didn't know whether to be relieved or insulted and, deep down, it was a little of both. When he began to speak of boredom and Namek, she frowned just a little but those never lasted long on her face.
"Underwhelming? No, of course not..." she said, surprised at their apparent lack of appreciation for all these islands offered. "I mean, yeah, there's not much to do here and it's so peaceful and everything but that's sorta what I like about it." She turned to Gnash as if to see the Namekian agree with her but her expression fell as he did the exactly opposite. Gnash, and Kaito, two new people and both spouting the same mumbo jumbo about Namek being full of dull conversation. Well, she supposed for a Namekian and someone from Earth it might seem that way. There was always at least ten things happening in any town on Earth, hundreds in the cities, and if Gnash spent any time on Earth (which was the vibe she got from their exchange), then maybe Earth got to him, too. And then Gnash confirmed spending time on Earth...
"I'm, uh..." she considered lying for the briefest moment, of not being Belle, The Pink Dragon, for just a few hours but that just wasn't who she was. "Belle," she smiled, this time it was her real smile and not the one she wore for the general public. Either they were acting like they didn't know who she was to try and get close to her, they'd been put up to this and a camera would pop out any second or they were genuinely, sincerely clueless to her identity.
Hannibelle had the distinct feeling it was the latter and her instincts tended to be pretty damn good. Turning back to Kaito she said, "But you were right about me needing a distraction. As Gnash said, though, what is there to do around here?" And then she hesitated, wondering why the Northern whatever was forbidden. "What's out there? The...the scar? Why would anyone care if people go there?" No, it wasn't her planet and maybe it wasn't her place to question customs or anything like that but she was too curious for her own good sometimes.

Kaito turned around again, this time facing Belle and Gnash. Judging by what they said, Kaito wasn't wrong about what he said. But he still felt a little guilty for putting Belle in the same boat with them. The bio android seemed to like this planet, but then she again said that she'd needed a distraction. From what though? Was she occupied with anything other than training and becoming stronger? Her paper and pen didn't validate that. Maybe she was an author or something. Kaito's brown hues traveled to Gnash, who had a melancholic expression written all over his face. He'd bring Earth up in every sentence he'd talked. The Namekian must sure love and miss that place, as Kaito did. But he wasn't the person to express his feelings. Kaito, too, felt the same thing about Namek. Everything was monotone and changeless. You wake up in the morning, see the blue grass, tall tree forests and the green sky and water. You could say that Kaito had traveled all the Maima Region area, and this could confirm his beliefs.
Of course, that Kaito had spent happy moments in here too. Meeting with the Namekian people was one of the best things experienced in this planet. The nature was very striking too, with a wide variety of wild and plant life. However, staying here for longer would be quite a chore. And Kaito didn't feel like this for this area, but for the whole planet actually. He was pretty sure that in every other corner of this planet, things would be static. And nothing would change this feeling that Kaito had deep inside his heart.
Gnash mentioned something about The Northern Scar. Kaito hadn't heard about that place, so did Belle. Kaito tilted his head from left to right several times to indicate that he didn't like the idea. However if the other two said that they'd want to go, then Kaito would tag along. But he had another idea in his head. Kaito brought his palm up and stroked his beardless chin. He thought for some time before talking.
"The Northern Scar doesn't sound bad but... I think I don't want to do anything inside this planet anymore..." Kaito paused before he'd contiuned again. Actually he was having trouble to put what he wanted to say in a straight forward manner. "What I'm saying is that, I think we should go somewhere else... And by this I mean in another planet. Staying in the same place wouldn't help us in any way. I already had my fun in this planet, and I think it's time to move on. That's why I left my home planet Earth too."
Kaito turned to Belle, his eyes narrowing a little bit to grasp every face expression that she made. "How does this idea sound to your ears?"

Belle was the name of the cotton-candy looking woman sitting before him. The same resounded off with a familiar ring to the Namekian’s elongated ears, though he didn’t quite know from where. If he was being completely honest and just judged her based off of her appearance alone, he would say she could be some type of hot-shot singer from Earth. Then again, Gnash was never good at judging just by appearance. He’d one time mistaken a prince for a plumber back on Earth. Or well, a self-proclaimed Prince. He was shut down rather quickly when Gnash threw his own two cents in.
“Mmm.. The Northern Scar. They say a large parasite-type machine landed there many years ago. Once a band of heroes destroyed it, it left a giant scar.. I don’t really know much about it myself. I don’t want to get exiled from the villages, seeing as this is now my permanent home. Though I have to admit.. I’ve allowed my curiosity to take over, as I have ventured very close. Having been only a few miles out from it.. I can attest to its ominous nature.” Gnash turned his head to the side, yellow saucers glancing off behind him in the direction of the area in which he spoke about. The last time he approached the Scar, he felt his knees buckle underneath his massive frame and he fell from the sky like a damned torpedo. There was just something.. Frightening about it. He wasn’t going to mention that part, of course.
He lifted his torso up, now bringing his bulky arms across his chest. He listened to Kaito speak the words that floated around in his head since the first few hours of arriving on New Namek. He kept them hidden away within his mind under lock and key in fear that it would upset the locals. There weren’t many places to visit on this planet, or live for that matter unless you built yourself a home. The resident Namekians had been kind enough to give him a home. If he had told them he thought they were boring, well that would make him homeless. He didn’t possess any architectural skills, so building himself a house was a no-go. He could occupy Riku’s spaceship for the time being, but even that option was a bit iffy.
“Another planet..?” Gnash thought to himself, eyelids sliding back in their sockets to show the shock that washed over his emerald features. Why would he go to another planet after just having arrived here? He wasn’t as scared as upsetting the locals as much as Gnash had been? Hell, even if they had settled on that option, how the hell would they get off the planet? None of them had a ship to use. At least not one big enough for all three of them to fit inside of. Surely Riku wouldn’t allow them to just fly off with his vessel, not without him aboard.
“Mmm.. How do you propose we even do this, Kaito? None of us have a ship to use. And I doubt any of us know how to navigate one. We’d be sitting ducks up there. Where would we go? What would we do? I have to be honest with you.. Right now, I want to return to Earth. I don’t like it here. There was so much more to do there.. I just… The longer I stay here, the more I feel as if the life is being sucked right out of me. My original goal was to go back to Earth and join up with the Z-Fighters.. But obviously I can’t leave here. That is definitely an option for both of you, though.”

Belle crossed her arms as she listened to them discuss the Northern Scar. She really didn’t want to get banned from Namek, that would hurt sales and actively going into a restricted zone and getting caught would hurt her image even more. That oh so carefully crafted image Tyler put together for her would shatter in a heartbeat, and Belle really didn’t want that. Leaving had its appeal, of course, because running away from her problems could do that sometimes. That false barrel of freedom where if you dug deep enough into it you’d find you never really outran them to begin with. Trouble like that had a nasty habit of following you around. Besides, there was that other reason she didn’t want to leave just yet…
“I heard Beryl Roarke is in town recruiting for the Galactic Patrol,” she said, keeping her eyes on both their faces for any flash of recognition or hint they knew what she spoke of. “I wonder what kind of missions they go on…” One of the reasons she didn’t want to leave was because of Roarke being there; Belle wanted to meet him and find out more about the school he was trying to build. If worth it, she’d help raise money for it as one of her charities. The world needed police, and the Galactic Patrol stood above other petty positions and judged them all equally. Unfortunately, she was stuck on Namek for the time being, and Earth was her next tour stop. Once there she’d have a bit of time off, but for now she had to play by the rules.
Back home, on Earth where she’d been created, born and thrust into spotlight after spotlight until it wasn’t just Earth’s spotlight on her anymore, that was when she’d first learned of the defunct Galactic Patrol. And then rumors of its revival, spearheaded by the human fighter Beryl Roarke. “I was thinking of joining,” she smiled over at them. “I mean, we all could, I know they need people. And I doubt they lead boring lives.” If the other two were really so bored with life why not do something about it and also help make a difference in the world? Then again, that kind of work didn’t hold appeal for everyone. A job like that could really give someone purpose in life or just sap them of everything they were. No, it wasn’t for everyone, but lately she felt more and more that it just might be for her.

The words of Gnash flew as arrows towards Kaito, piercing him almost brutally. This, of course, was for a comic relief. Kaito didn't think of a backup plan for his words. Gnash was right, the idea of going to another planet was just as obscure, and they didn't have any means of fleeing Namek. This was yet an another example of how Gnash always relied on logic and reasoning, this something that Kaito always tends to do the opposite of it. This Northern Scar place sounded intriguing, and the way the Namekian elaborated on it, it almost sounded like a demon's place. Gnash also noted that joining the Z Fighters in Earth was one of his goals. Kaito had heard about the Z Fighters, during his short voyage across the Earth. They were basically a strong group that had but one main goal: secure Earth's safety from those who wish harm of it. Kaito had also heard that they'd met in the Sacred Land of Korin for discussing ideas, but he wasn't too sure where that would be.
Kaito pouted as he threw his brown hues towards a nearby source of water, which splashed against a boulder. The water drops scattered around, before another wave would crash against one more time, repeating the same process. Kaito too didn't have a decent response to say to Gnash, and in his mind, things were basically returning from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 0. The human brought his arm up and fondled his golden locks, and smiled lightly. This would be the blondie's response that he withdrew from that suggestion, and letting Gnash's arguments win. Now they couldn't do anything, and everything was hopeless. Kaito gazed over the horizon, his eyes having a pleased look. Namek's sceneries were surely the best thing ever.
Kaito too started to hop on the same boat as them. His low spirit was slowly taking over. This, however, was until Belle started to say something, which made Kaito swiftly turn around and hear every word she says carefully. Once he'd heard Galactic Patrol, he was taken back almost instantly. That phrase, he had heard it many times in the past. Kaito put his palm on his forehead, trying to remember all sorts of things. Apparently, his grandpa used to mention this organization often. He was affiliated with them in some way until the whole company was gone. He even got a space pod as a gift for his splendid job, and he gave that to Kaito. The human truly felt proud of his grandpa, as a shiny smile could be seen on Kaito's face right now. A sparkling, vibrant interest in Kaito had sparked.
Beryl Roarke, the name of this man who was trying to recruit members for the Galactic Patrol, was here in Namek. And Belle suggested that they go to him. It appears that she had an interest in joining. This idea didn't sound bad actually, it was a very good one. Belle had Kaito pinned in front of her all the time, it was clear as the sun that the young man was liking what Belle was saying. For the respect, he had for his grandpa, Kaito had set it in stone. He'd meet this man no matter what, he'd try to chase the spaceship leaving Namek's atmosphere all the way to space, should he be going right now. Kaito didn't deny the possibility to join the Galactic Patrol either if things would turn out interesting. The life of a patroller wasn't bad after all. You get to travel the distant galaxies, protect planets, save people and all these sorts of things. At least, when you die, you will be remembered for something good.
Kaito didn't talk. He was just waiting on Gnash to say what he had to say on this thing. But he better do that fast enough, because Kaito was pumped up so much actually he'd jump.

“Galactic Patrol, aye? Hmph.. “ The hooded warrior allowed his legs to bend underneath so that his butt sat on mid-air. He lifted his legs up into a criss-cross position, tilting his head back so that his hood slipped off of the bald crown. He let a smile tug on the corners of his mouth, pearly fangs poking out from behind emerald petals. He let his mind wander, pondering his answer to this. He knew of the Galactic Patrol and what they do. Somewhat. He has only ever been able to snag a look at one book while back on Earth. Even then, the pages were ripped, some were faded. The symbol atop the cover of the book had faded away as well, leaving Gnash ultimately puzzled as he knew not of the mark that they identified themselves with.
“Supposed to be some type of Galactic Police. Patrolling the galaxy.. I don’t know too much about them, though. I was able to read one book about them back when I walked Earth.. It was dilapidated as all get-out. Some of the pages were ripped and some paragraphs rubbed out. Obviously, I did not get much.” The Namekian spoke as he floated in mid-air in a seated position. Belle then brought forth the thought of the types of missions they embark on. It made Gnash wonder himself. Traveling the galaxy, protecting the innocent from the wretched. It had to be one hell of a damn job. Exciting, too! It was unfortunate that he would never get to experience something like that.
“I can’t imagine that they are doing much more than recruiting now if they are in need of members. You can’t really protect the galaxy with just one person..” It made him think back on the old folktales that Nasser had told him back on Earth. About a defender of the universe who beat not only Arcosians, but even beings greater in power. Of course his name was flip-flopped around, changing with each person that told the story. Hell, even Nasser himself couldn’t remember it. He said it was thousands of years old, and that he’d left out major parts of the story.
Gnash nearly fell onto his ass when his ears twitched and he realized the words that Belle had spoken moments before. She expressed an interest in joining this Galactic Patrol, seeing as their leader, Beryl Roarke, was “in town”. With the way she had been presenting herself and answering both Gnash and Kaito’s questions, he found it hard to believe that she would want to leave Namek. She seemed to love it so much. What she saw in it, Gnash had no idea, but there was something keeping a woman such as herself on this peaceful globe. She even suggested that all three of them join the faction.. Was she out of her damned mind? There was absolutely no way Gnash could leave Namek. Not after what he’d done to get here. Not after the family he has made.
“I don’t think so. I gave up so much to come here.. I know I’m not happy, but I have to force myself to be. This is my home. I can’t just leave it defenseless.. Even though I would like to. That may sound a bit selfish, but so be it.” Gnash squared his jaw up, tossing his yellow hues to the same rock in which Kaito’s had been fixated upon. He felt a tad bit guilty for saying the things he had just said, but it was the truth. And sometimes the truth hurt. Luckily, there was no one around to hear it that would actually take offense. None of the locals.
“I… I-I gave up a lot to make it here. As amazing as it would be to join the Galactic Patrol.. And sail around the galaxy defending those who require help from the clutches of evil… There is no way. What if the Namekians here exiled me for leaving? What if I wanted to return and I did not have the option? These are things I need to think about. They’ve run through my head… Every day. It would be difficult for me to just pack up and leave again.” Gnash turned his attention towards Kaito, who had been fairly silent this entire time. This was completely unlike his character, to just sit back and listen. “What do you think?”

For Belle, whose life filled with the bad kind of crazy a lot, Namek offered sanctuary in its sameness and serenity. But there must be more to that provincial life. She dreamed of real adventure and helping people more than her current capabilities allowed her to, of growing stronger and making the big, wide universe a better place and beyond. For her, what Roarke did for the Galactic Patrol in giving it a fresh start resonated with her soul deep. Sometimes all people needed was a fresh start, too, to make or break and remold their life. In a person’s life they only got so many chances to change things if they wanted to, and it sounded like Gnash wanted to.
Kaito, the blonde one, said nothing which Belle shrugged off, not knowing him well enough to think it out of or in character for him. Gnash spewed a lot of excuses. Oh, sure, Belle knew he meant every one of them but they were still excuses. Reasons not to do things he wanted to do, or so it seemed. “Don’t hold yourself back,” she said with a shrug. “Who said you can’t have it all? Go out and adventure and come home to your people, too? Home will be here waiting for you if you decide to come back, opportunities like this only come every so often in a lifetime. I intend to take this one…” She pulled out her notebook and jotted down a few lines about friendship, home and acceptance. If the Namekians really accepted Gnash, they wouldn't judge or exile him for trying to help people - in fact, they should be overjoyed he stepped up to represent his people in such a group that could very well change and alter the course of the future.
Would her life be thrown into further chaos if she got accepted? Absolutely. It wouldn’t stop her from trying, though, and there was no way she’d ever stop the other parts of her life full throttle because of something like this. Her fans, her family, her management all put pressure on her every day to be her best and she did just that. Sometimes it wasn’t good enough for most. Heck, it was never good enough for everyone, but she’d accepted that long ago. Sure, there would be scrutiny when the public learned of her choice and the movie deal she accepted would just have to work around her now busier schedule but they were used to those sort of conditions. Stuffing the notebook back into her bag she looked back over at Gnash, a challenge in those green eyes of hers and said, “You do what you feel is best...of course. If there's one thing I've learned is that, if you're going to regret not doing something, maybe you should just take that leap and try.”

The green alien hovered in the air, his face remaining almost changeless. Kaito wasn't a mind reader, but he could tell that Gnash was kneading up many things in his mind right now. Regardless, he just huffed and decided to talk about how much he knew about Galactic Patrol. Some obscure information from a ruined and clutched up papers was all he possessed. He looked really skeptic about it, even when the name "Beryl Roarke" was mentioned by Belle. It was quite the opposite for Kaito actually. The true reason for him to join this organization wasn't because his grandpa was affiliated with them in some way in the past, at all. It sure sounds sweet for a nephew to follow his grandfather's footsteps, but this wasn't quite the case. Kaito's face brightened almost instantly because those words would commence a whole new adventure. And this adventure wasn't in any remotely way boring, judging by its sound. As he was about to let Belle know that he was interested verbally, Gnash interrupted him. The human turned his head towards the floating alien, whose face was still gloomy; if not gloomier. He started talking about some depressing stuff too. Him being unhappy with the planet was one thing, but having paranoid thoughts or complexes was even worse. Gnash feared that the Namekians wouldn't be so kind to accept him anymore if he was to ditch them and go off on an adventure. Although his voice had obvious tones of insecureness, his face refused that. The blondie just left off a sigh. He knew what it meant when Gnash would start to get hard headed. And no one or anything would change his mind. Kaito would usually retreat and let Gnash have his way, but not this time. Kaito dropped his neck a little bit and scratched the itchy part of his spine with his fingers. The human quietly listened to Belle trying to encourage Gnash with her well-chosen words. She sounded mature enough. This was something that Kaito liked. Things were going great with the duo meeting Belle and she suggesting them to have a talk with the recruiter of the Galactic Patrol, but Gnash was spoiling it all. Nevertheless, Kaito couldn't put the blame on him. He was in a tricky situation, no matter how you look at it. By the time Belle finished what she had to say, the blondie stepped in. He supposed that his words would have some weight on them, he knew Gnash best after all. "Gnash, let me point something out. You said you weren't happy here, but for the sake of your companions, you must force yourself to stay. Now this is where it all goes wrong. There's no need to upset and stress yourself over some people who wouldn't want to see you again after you have done something supposedly taboo?" Kaito's brown hues flickered to Belle, whose blue skin was starting to get a little bit shiny due to the sun. "I agree with Belle. If those people wouldn't accept you, then are those really worth sacrificing yourself for? Think carefully. I for one, wouldn't let this chance slip by any means. If you'd let this go, then who knows when another opportunity might knock in your door. Oh, maybe by then, you would be dead. You know, with that much power you won't be able to defend this planet." Kaito had to be blunt, but he was still picking the softer words. "I'm not forcing you or anything... I just wanted to say these words as a friend." Kaito's eyes gave off a friendly stare almost all the time. He didn't want to hurt Gnash with those words, and he thought that maybe a smile on his face would lessen that. "I'd be sad if our ways parted. But you can't do much to it if it's set in stone..."Kaito turned around and sat on the edge a nearby and small cliff. He didn't stretch his legs out because he didn't want the splashing water to damp his legs. If that wasn't going to change Gnash's mind, then he might have as well leave it at that. But he'd miss his friend, a lot. ---------------------- Kaito out! PL with Heavy Weights bonus Total WC: 2948

Gnash turned his attention towards Belle, the one who had decided to take the mic stand, so-to-speak, for the time being. She, much like Kaito, hadn’t been speaking a whole lot during this entire ordeal. Was it because of the things Gnash had been saying? Or did they know what had been transpiring in Moori Capitol? Either way, the woman stepped up and spewed heartfelt words that Gnash didn’t believe her capable of. She said things that Gnash would have expected to hear from Kaito’s mouth, but he just let out an annoyed huff of air from his chest and listened in like his green friend.
“It’s hard not to. With everything that has happened.. Being blown to bits once. There being a high possibility that it will happen again. I’m sure I don’t have enough power to make much of a difference anyways.”
Deep down inside, he agreed with her. She didn’t say anything wrong. He shouldn’t hold himself back, especially if the Namekians here weren’t going to give him the time of day for exploring his dreams. The Galactic Patrol sounded wild. Even though he didn’t particularly live his life in an exuberant way, which he assumed most Patrol members did like the two standing before him, he liked to get a little primitive every once in awhile. Traveling space and not only protecting his home planet from the fiendish, but the entire galaxy. That was a life worth living. It was a dream worth pursuing.
Of course, the Namekian was too stubborn to even vocalize this. He wanted to agree with her, even opened his mouth to verbalize his consensus when something tugged at the back of his mind. Something sinister poked into the depths of his conscience, pulling him out of reality for half of a second. He clenched his eyes shut, shaking his head around on a swivel. He quickly regained his composure, glancing back at Kaito now, who had taken the stand. “Kami-damnit.. I hope they didn’t see that.” Gnash knew who it was. He knew what it was. Luckily, his meditation with the Hybrid Celmaru back on Earth, allowed him to keep a shield over this. Until now.
Kaito spoke words that Gnash would have deemed full of encouragement. Sure, they were a bit harsh, but that was probably exactly what he needed to screw his fucking head on straight. Gnash knew these were the words of a true friend. He wouldn’t be Gnash’s best bud if he had sugar-coated everything. Sometimes, all someone needed was a dose of the truth, and Kaito gave him exactly that. He was spiking himself mentally, refusing the opportunity of a lifetime for people that may or may not give two shits about him should he walk his own path.
“I.. I understand.” Gnash had a hint of urgency laced between his words. That force was prodding, literally yanking on the back of his skull. He could feel its energy slither in between the creases of his intellect. It was making it hard to focus solely on the things his best friend had been saying to him. He hastily waved his arms through the air, bringing one palm to his forehead. “Gnnaaaasssshhh… Gnashy-boy!” He planted his feet firmly against the ground, fangs now shining brightly through emerald petals. “I.. I get it, I get it. I will talk with you two later. I have to go now. I think.. I think Cordian is waiting on me.”
With that uneasy exit, Gnash’s body became engulfed in a cloak of white ki that matched his own cape. He burst off into the ambient air, dashing through the air at an unusual pace. “C’mon Gnash…! I want to play! You’ve kept me locked away for so-” “STOP!” Gnash yelled at the top of his lungs once he was a good mile or two away from both Kaito and Belle. He lost his balance, plummeting to the earth below. Luckily, he was able to catch his footing, but ultimately smashed face first into one of the jagged rocks that protruded from the plethora of islands dotting the landscape. His body had been covered in a thick, slimy layer of sweat as his chest heaved rapidly. “Please.. Stop.”
