Katsu felt sort of good just at the moment. He had some actual guests in his house, and was getting ready to cook them a substantial meal as he figured there was gonna be quite the stomach power from both Svid and Bing if they enjoyed the food he cooked. And hey, even if they didn't eat it all Katsu could just eat it later or give it to the creatures in his laboratory, lots of them down there had pretty robust digestive systems after all!
“While my own family are all still healthy wealthy and wise, I can understand a little of your loss, Bing-san. To me, teachers are a great thing. Someone to be respected and treasured all your life. I've heard of the old saying 'Sensei for a day, Father for a lifetime' and I think I'd agree with it wholeheartedly. You have my condolences for such a loss.”
Listening to Bing's story Katsu wouldn't be perturbed in the least. In fact it might come out a little weird to Bing just how little the story impacted his mood, giving a shrug and a grin as he replied, “But, you can at least say that you're stronger both physically and emotionally for the experience, and more capable than you were before. You just need to keep going forward, keep evolving. I'm sure your father died happy, knowing that his son had surpassed him in the end.”
With the power of his mind Katsu was creating quite a little dance of floating objects in the kitchen, levitating dozens of different items as he prepared several dishes at once. Dough was being knead in one spot while in another fresh vegetables were being sliced into easy to manage sections with no cutting tool apparent, while yet another spot was mixing up some kind of fruit drink with ice and cream! Oh yes, when you had the ability of telekinesis its applications were so much more than most thought it was.
“I can't say I've got much of a story to tell yet, Bing-san. My mother and father are still alive and successful, by two older brothers are well on their way to success as well. My younger sister is just now getting interested in boys much to the headache of my parents, and I've not done much either. I've been educated for most of my short life. I've got some practical knowledge in just about everything, but Bio-Engineering is my current specialty. You know, making Bio-Androids and the like. Gene Therapy. That kind of stuff.
“My most complete project to date was Delvs, a Bio-android who has gained free-will of his own accord. Couldn't be prouder of him to be honest. But beyond him I'm a little short on the list of events to get nostalgic about. Now, if you want some cooking tips I can offer a bit more...” And so Katsu would indeed offer plenty of tips and information on the various cooking recipes he had been given over the course of his life, a good number of them coming from the people of Trebul of course.
Katsu would continue preparing his feast and talking with Bing, and eventually Svid would return from her bath, looking much happier for her state of cleanliness. Smiling as she hopped up onto the counter and began watching him cook, Katsu laughed and slid over a small plate of french fried potatoes with nacho cheese on the side, “Here guy and gal. This ought to keep you from trying to eat your own arms until I can finish cooking everything. Svid, it's made from a plant but contains more energy and taste then you might expect. Just dip them in the yellow stuff on the side and see if you like that.
“Oh! I almost forgot. Why don't you tell us your story now Svid? It'll be another fifteen or so until I can get all the food set.”
