"This is..." Maeve's voice rang out in a ferocious cry as her form moved forward without hesitation. As she shot ahead: Fateburn reflected the light of her dark aura, she kept the massive blade steady and true. As she drew in upon the half saiyan the dragoness' wide eyes of molten gold would widen further and narrow to almost feral like slits as she suddenly stopped. In a breath she was in the presence of her target, that's all it took with her ki-infused burst of speed. One heartbeat to end the battle. "...The end!" She cried out sending her cleaver forward in a mighty thrust. There was no resistance... The blade went straight through her... "What?!" Maeve's voice caught in her throat as the image of Habana faded away around the blade. Her jaw hung open in shock It was impossible, like she just disappeared before her! She began to turn only to see Habana's form flicker behind her. "How is she...So fast?!" She cried out in alarm trying to turn and react to the sudden counter that the horn-haired saiyaness planned. Her turning prevented Habana from hitting her spine but left Maeve's side vulnerable to the sudden fist thrown by Habana. "GUFUAW!" Maeve hacked violently, spittle and blood splashing to the frosty street as she suddenly lurched from the impact. Her body shook with pain as Habana's punch struck against her kidney. Thankfully the heavy armor that weighed her down also seemed to provide some protection but the pang of pain was enough to get Maeve to stumble away with a few trembling steps on the slick concrete. After nearly slipping in her pained, sloppy, stumble, Maeve would turn to face Habana with the lingering expression of startled pain still present. She clutched her side as she moved to rest her mighty blade against her pauldron. Her upper body seemed to lazily slump as she took a moment to breathe. "Dammit..." She hissed through clenched teeth and a heavy pant. Even with all that bulky armor it was obvious that Maeve was breathing heavily. The curse didn't seem directed at Habana's counter, if anything Maeve was continually impressed and amazed at the saiyaness' skill and her agility. Maeve may have had bursts of forced speed but Habana seemed to move effortlessly with her speed. She wasn't sure if she could compete with it. How could she defeat her if she couldn't even land a hit? She looked up, the image of the golden ape firing two blasts down at what she could only assume where Bing and Kaula filling her view. The area around them was flooded with a vermilion light as the bolts were launched from her palms. Her entire form tensed and her face paled at the sight of the vicious counter offensive. The triumphant image of Bing's blast engulfing the Queen of Death shattered and was replaced with this new loathsome visage. How did she survive? How was she still fighting?! Maeve thought Bing's attack would be the end of it for sure! "Dammit! They need me over there!" Maeve cursed once again, her eyes squeezing shut in her own anger as her form trembled with rage. "I have to end this quickly! I can't waste any more time!" Maeve growled turning to face Habana. Though as desperate as she was to defeat Habana... The question persisted. How could she win if she couldn't land a hit? Habana's speed and agility were hard to square off against. The way she practically danced around her blade was as infuriating as it was impressive. She was too swift for her! She was swift... ...Like the wind. That was it! Maeve's eyes shot open in realization. She had been so fixated on the fight and what was at stake that she had completely disregarded her teachings, and she was fighting poorly because of it. While her spirit was blazing the rest of her ki was out of balance. She had to focus. She had to clear her mind and free it from the burdens of doubt, worry, and emotion. She had to be free, like the ever flowing tide. She had to tap into the flow! Maeve closed her eyes slowly as she exhaled, almost as if she were trying to meditate. Her heavy panting slowed, as did the frantic beating of her heart. As she stood there with her eyes closed, a surge of strange energy would suddenly flood her body. Habana would be able to see a strange almost liquid like blue aura explode around her form like a tidal wave only to fade just as soon as it came. The demoness' eyes slowly opened, a sharp, cool, clarity replaced the almost fiery gaze she once held. Her expression was one of serenity and peace despite everything. She took a step forward and eased back into her stance. She let out another icy exhale as she lowered herself. "...Come"

It was just a bit surreal watching Maeve impale the after image, Habana was almost thankful the image could not in its present state do any more than simply maintain her last stance before she had initiated it, seeking her own reaction to being gutted by Maeve's blade would have perhaps been a bit TOO jarring and might have interfered with her counterattack and that was something Habana could simply not afford, Maeve was a tough enough opponent as it was and Habana did not need to be psyching herself out by creating all-too-real renditions of her own possible demise, the danger present in every swing of Maeve's blade only increased the longer the battle raged on and the more wounded and exhausted Habana allowed herself to become.
It was amusing to see Maeve's reaction to her chosen method of avoiding the attack, and to Habana's surprise Maeve instead of continuing forward through the image only to get caught by Habana's attack to her back instead realized what was wrong quite quickly and twisted around in search of her, the demoness had a rather amazing level of awareness about her to do such a thing, however her awareness had not shielded her entirely from harm as Habana's elbow was driven into her side rather than her spine, assuming that the scaled woman had a biology roughly like a saiyan Habana would wager her blow landed pretty squarely around the kidney region and considering the look on Maeve's face as she staggered back Habana was reasonably certain that if she DIDNT hit her kidney she had instead hit something else important.
Gritting her teeth as she put on a confident look as Maeve staggered back Habana was fighting the urge to let out a grunt of pain, her own body was in a similarly bad condition to Maeve's, the big blow Maeve had delivered earlier even while cauterized was still causing Habana no small amount of pain, pushing her body to move at the speeds necessary to produce the after image had likewise not done her any favors in the department of reducing that pain, for now she was simply standing there trying to give off the image that she was just letting Maeve gather herself but in reality Habana was giving herself time to do the same a few moments to let the stabbing pain emanating from what felt like an entire half of her body subside.
Giving a sharp whistle in an effort to draw Maeve's attention away from the fight between the Earthlings and Zucceta Habana gave her a raised eyebrow as she spoke “I get that you want to lend a hand, Maeve, truthfully I want nothing more than to be fighting alongside Zucceta myself, shes tough but your people are hitting her pretty hard from what I can feel” Habana said, she'd felt Zucceta's power drop terrifyingly low for a moment before its resurgence “But I said it before, that sort of fight isn't one either of us are going to have much of an impact on.” Habana said with a look of clear annoyance, not at Maeve for wanting to participate in the other battle, but at her own weakness, her own inability to impact such a battle even with her new power.
Raising an eyebrow yet again as Maeve seemed to focus herself for a moment Habana noted a strange shift in the scaled woman's energy, much like how her sword would occasionally burst into flame Maeve herself appeared to be radiating a strange sort of energy, it seemed to flow around her like liquid it burst outward briefly before receding like a tide back into Maeve and with that Maeve seemed to have centered herself she once again grew focused as she resumed her fighting stance.
Rolling her shoulders as she sunk back into her own fighting stance Habana grinned over at Maeve curious to see what the demoness had done and how it would effect things, there was a very good chance that actually taking up Maeve's challenge to come at her was likely to be a foolish course of action, whatever she had done could very well have be some sort of trap, a technique that she would unleash once Habana got in close, it could be anything really, Habana knew so little of Maeve style outside of it seeming to rely on her blade, perhaps a whirlwind strike? Or perhaps a bit less expetantly a genuine pure energy technique, the strange rolling wave of almost liquid energy showed that the demoness was certainly capable of some odd displays of ki usage.
But the only other option available was to stand back and force Maeve to be the one to take action, an aggressive person by nature Habana was willing to take the challenge even if it was perhaps a bit foolish, she knew how much power she had left to put out against Maeve and if Maeve was focusing some sort of technique all that meant was that Habane would need to overpower her! Grinning to herself Habana would dash forward at Maeve a vague plan of action forming in her mind.
Once in close with her Habana would 'test the waters' with a quick flurry of kicks and punches focusing her efforts on the areas of Maeve's body she already knew to be weakened, the new exposed midsection and the area around Maeves kidney, once if became clear that simply attacking the demoness would not trigger some sort of explosion or eruption of power from her Habana's stance would briefly shift as she preformed a quick flip placing herself on her hands while still remaining close to Maeve, hoping to use the sudden flip to confuse Maeve as her right leg erupted with violet energy heralding the attack to come as Habana sought to deliver a powerful kick aimed at Maeve's head.

To Habanna this assault would certainly seem like all the others that preceded it. It was just another crescendo in the symphony that was their battle. Each movement the saiyaness had made was a practiced one. In her grace lie discipline, and within that lie power. Each strike she threw was one that had been perfected through years of savage combat. it was exhilarating to observe and fearful to face. Though where Maeve once would frantically hold her blade up to crash against these wild attacks she stood still, her cold expression remaining undeterred. For while this would appear to Habana like a typical clash, Maeve saw things in a radical new way. The water magic that echoed throughout her allowed her to focus and see the 'flow' of the world around her. Each movement that was made created a ripple in this mysterious 'flow.' Each ripple, painted a scene for Maeve that she wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. The simplest movements were perfectly clear, no detail went unnoticed. She was in a state of utter clarity. With each punch and kick thrown by Habana, a ripple would precede it. So with each punch thrown in the flurry Maeve's form would seem to weave between them. Her hauntingly cool gaze fixated on Habana's as her form moved like a leaf on a still pond. She danced between her punches, there was no fear as she made no effort to specially cover her wounded areas. Her loose, free movements made her look confident. "You won't be able to land a single hit. Not anymore." Maeve said, a bit of arrogance slipping into her even tone. Habana's next move, however, was faster than she could anticipate. As the saiyaness flipped back Maeve's eyes widened. The ripples she was creating seemed to almost consume her. There was no avoiding it, it felt like Habana had the potential to suddenly lurch out and attack from every angle and the sudden sensory overload made it impossible for Maeve to come up with a counter offensive or even a solid defense. She had no idea what way to block or dodge. It was like she were in a check without a move to make. A mix of a whine and a yipe escaped Maeve's lips as the ki powered heel suddenly slammed against the back of her skull. The confidence that seemed to come with her serene state seemed to fade instantly. She was reduced to crying out like a hatchling when her skull was suddenly rocked by the force of Habana's impact. Her legs gave out from beneath her forcing her down. Soon, her face and the frigid concrete were to be forcibly acquainted. Her eyes rolled back, the throb of a concussion dulled her senses as her body was slammed against the street like a rag doll. The energy stored in the Kinetic Strike exploded out around her form like a purple lightning bolt. A ghost of a scream rang out from the demonic swordswoman as the ki slammed her into the concrete with enough force to shatter it. As the earth around her failed, the dragoness was swallowed by the crater and put down in one swift motion. The aftermath of the explosion would reveal her crumbled form at the heart of the crater. Her nearly unbreakable blade was stabbed into the earth beside her and her dark, demonic armor was practically in tatters. Parts were completely shattered, revealing the feminine yet toned build of the young woman. The rest, was cracked. Fractures nearly covered her armor completely. She lay unmoving in the heart of the crater. She was forced into a state much like Habana was when Maeve used her 'Demon Skull Beheading just moments ago. For a second, Maeve wasn't sure if she was going to awaken though a shaky, desperate inhale of breath forced her eyes open. She blinked a few times as she lay in the dirt, trying to gain her bearings. Everything was so...Fuzzy to her. She shook, having a hard time remembering just what had happened but soon the memory came back to her. She let out a weak defiant growl as she tried to pull herself up to no avail. She weakly attempted to crawl to her blade but couldn't find the strength. She eventually collapsed letting out a series of quick pants as her entire body throbbed in agony. She couldn't move... She couldn't fight... She failed... "N-No..." She whined, in an almost inaudible tone between her violent pants. Even with her serene state she couldn't completely fight away the surge of emotion that hit her. "No! This isn't over!" She snarled, tears burning in her eyes as she refused her situation and refused to give up. Her fuzzy mind kept telling her, that there was still a chance. That she could still fight. Somehow. She was sure of it. She wasn't just being stubborn...There was something...Something she was forgetting. She closed her eyes, the tears streaming down her face as she desperately tried to remember...Something... After a moment however, an image formed in her mind. Lemon Scampi, the matriarch of the Scampi Ranch had given her...Something... Before she went off to the Lookout. She said it'd 'help her in a bind'. 'That it'd perk her right up'....What was it?! Maeve opened her eyes and looked to her palm. Her fist was clenched, it seemed she had reached for something almost instinctively. Her hand slowly opened to reveal a small, lime green bean. "A...Bean?" She asked herself blinking a few times before without thinking she would greedily stuff it into her mouth. She crunched down, her teeth grinding into the hard shell as the mystical Senzu Bean already began to work it's magic. A strange warmth tickled her tongue, a warmth that would radiate throughout her as soon as she swallowed it down. Her eyes widened as her body suddenly was flooded with new life. She could feel her wounds fading as strength replaced her pain.
She pulled herself up to a kneel. Her now unarmored claw gripped the hilt of Fateburn as her aura began to seep around her out of the crater. Her body was mighty as the sturdy earth.
She was swift, like the playful wind.
Her mind was free, like the flowing tides.
Her spirit, was raging like a furious inferno.
She embodied the elements and let them rage within her, borrowing all their power to let her turn the tide of this battle. A storm of black and red light would shoot from the crater as Maeve's roar bellowed out into the air. Her power, as sensed by Habana would soon match hers filling the gap between them in a second only to exceed it a second later. The ground trembled as Maeve gathered her strength, moving to fight at her highest potential. In a heartbeat Maeve's power level jumped by nearly one hundred thousand. She was suddenly at over 250% of what she once was, and whatever lead Habana had was but a fleeting memory. Maeve slowly stood out of the crater, her eyes blaring with energy and her form crackling with that black and red electricity. Her expression was, as it was previously, cool collected and serene despite the awesome power that freely surged around her. She merely lifted Fateburn and rest it against her bare shoulder, her glowing eye locking in on Habana as she uttered one word. "...Come."

It had been very disconcerting to habana when she began her initial assault on Maeve only to find that the demoness' ability to respond to her attacks had increased nearly tenfold in it's ease, every fist and every kick aimed at Maeve was avoided or deflected with such grace and ease that Habana briefly began to wonder if the demoness had somehow initiated another transformation and simply found a means of disguising the power she had gained from it, the skill with which she negated Habana's every move was as if Maeve was peering into the future just far enough to see the attack coming to allow her time to adjust against it.
Simply attacking faster yielded no actual results in forcing Maeve to even appear to be trying when she negated one of her attacks, no matter what Habana threw at the demoness she simply seemed to take the best possible course of action to avoid any and all harm, her movements even seemed measured enough to prevent Maeve from exerting much energy in actually avoiding the attacks while Habana herself pushed more and more of her energy into every attack trying to yield at least SOME reasonse that made it seem like Maeve was no longer having an easy time.
The longer the exchange was drawn out the more clear it was that hitting Maeve was becoming less and less possible, it was through this however that Habana was reminded of something, a game Sam enjoyed that he frequently tried to teach Habana to excel at but that she had never quite gotten a grasp for the game itself, Chess, his primary method of teaching had been through physically playing against her but on occasion he would pit her meager skills against one of his computers, facing a computer was a rather different experience than a person and Sam had explained it that while a person would make mistakes or change there style more readily on the fly, a computer, unless sufficiently advanced to have an intelligence of its own, took the 'best' action it could perceive. In a way this situation was much like that, and while she had never achieved victory against Sam himself, his computer was another story, Sam had taught her that this 'best move' style was something she could take advantage of, to maneuver the computer into a 'bad' scenario by taking advantage of how it would respond.
Pushing herself further Habana began making a conscious effort to maneuver Maeve into the best position for her to initiate her more powerful attack, setting up the situation in which she could initiate her attack was actually surprisingly easy, perhaps because unlike Chess Habana enjoyed a good fight, and could work a battlefield far easier than a chessboard, no limitations on how she could move and a reasonable ability to understand how Maeve would move to avoid provided her with everything she needed to set up the attack, a tilt-a-whirl of motion from Habana and she finally felt proper solid impact as her heel crashed into Maeve's skull.
Habana had poured everything she could into that blow, a decisive strike intended to try and incapacitate Maeve here and now, she had no clue how long Maeve's automatic response style would continue working and even more worrying she had no idea if Maeve would figure out what she had done and move to counteract it afterwards if she managed to get back up after the blow. The blow had delivered even more power than Habana had anticipated not just crashing Maeve into the ground but also causing the ground to buckle under the pressure and cave in resulting in a crater not unlike the one that Habana had produced when Maeve had struck her down not long ago.
Cracking her neck as she looked Maeve over Habana was astonished to find that once the dust had settled a bit that Maeve was conscious.. well sort of, her eyes were open and blinking slowly and thankfully she was still breathing, but it seemed as if Maeve was not entirely there, her body shifted as she tried to move but collapsed shortly after, it was rather amazing that she was still aware enough to be trying to move at all let alone, from what she could see, actively try to retrieve her blade.
It seemed that in an amusing turn of events Maeve was not in the position that Habana had been in, only now it was already after both warriors had initiated there transformations which meant that the demoness was unlikely to be getting up any time soon, for now Habana would wait for her opponent to pass out from exertion and then find somewhere suitably away from the big battle to let her rest and probably leave one of the weird beans Sam had given her with her, he had stated that it was useful in the event of emergency healing, that it could restore someone to fighting form almost instantly. Something Maeve would likely need after that hit.
Habana watched from the rim of the crater as Maeve continued to struggle occasionally letting out a frustrated 'no' as she only served to further impress Habana with the woman's resilience as she remained conscious, it was beginning to look like it might actually be necessary to physically knock her out though Habana was not entirely fond of striking an already downed opponent. As she contemplated what to do Habana turned her attention back to the big battle, she could feel that yet another enormous power had arrived on the scene and with it a few of the other signatures she knew belonged to Zucceta's opponents began to resurge, things were looking rather grim for the Queen if this signature also belonged to an enemy and frustratingly Habana knew there was likely not much she could do about it. If even one of them possessed the ability to detect energy then she had no means of aiding Zucceta, her only possible method was to spend a long time charging a powerful attack in hopes of providing Zucceta with an opening to strike the most powerful signature down.
As Habana contemplated her options for aiding her Queen she felt something odd, Maeve's power suddenly spiked upward again returning Habana's attention to her fallen opponent, by the time Habana physically turned to look at Maeve the demoness was already back at full power, Habana stepped back in confusion as she shifted into a fighting stance roughly at the same time Maeve pulled herself back to one knee.
Part of Habana was a bit excited that Maeve was not actually down for the count, she had been enjoying the battle and continuing it was not something she would mind... but there was something a bit terrifying about the situation, a sort of creeping fear as she felt Maeve's power continue to fluctuate, the demoness' energy seeming to flood the crater and as it did so her power began to fluctuate less.. and instead began to rise.
Initially Habana did not worry much about that, a small increase in power was nothing to worry, she had done well against Maeve even when the scaled warrior had held an advantage... but then it kept rising, and rising, until finally Maeve's power eclipsed her previous state, the stronger Maeve got the more unconscious steps away from the crater Habana took, as her opponents power began to finally level off she climbed her way out of the crater her expression just as calm and collected as it had been before, her eyes glowing a piercing amber as she stared Habana down once again challenging Habana to come at her.
Habana grit her teeth in frustration as she stared at Maeve not sure what to do, all the confidence her own transformation had brought starting to slowly ebb in the face of such power, Habana was unsure she could even DO anything to Maeve at this point and even more worrying was how much power an attack from Maeve would deal, the last time she had attacked Habana after initiating a transformation it had very nearly killed her if not for the surge in power Habana had received it very likely would have as well.
Gritting her teeth Habana decided to simply cast aside her worry, she could not allow fear to seep into her mind now, she had very nearly beaten Maeve before and now the scaled warrior's armor was broken and shattered, it would leave Habana a good number of openings to attack on and with luck she could land a solid blow against Maeve and put her back down, or perhaps this state was a temporary one, a last ditch grap of power that would fade soon and return Maeve to a level Habana KNEW she could beat. Regardless simply standing around gawking at the demoness would do nothing to aid in beating her, Habana let loose a feral roar as she charged Maeve kicking off the ground and coming at her with a high kick aimed at the head, she had already received one head injury so perhaps another would knock her back down.

Maeve remained still as Habana took in the sight of her fearsome new strength. The power she attained from mastering her ki combined with the gift of the elements made her feel almost invincible. Though the fearsome might of Bing, Kaula, and Zucceta still made her's pale in comparison she felt stronger than she had ever felt before. An it was a surreal height that her mentor, Akemi, had been pushing her towards since the start of their training all those years ago. She currently exemplified the ideals of her mantra. Her body, mind, and spirit were all strengthened and unified. With that discipline, she could fight at her fullest potential! She didn't need the Makyo Star to enhance her nor did she need to give into the chaos that ran through her blood. This power was hers! As Habana stood there: struggling to come to terms with the sudden, drastic, and frightening shift in power and momentum; Maeve would slowly start walking towards her. She let her blade fall to her side as she made her approach, her burning gaze sharpened and she frowned softly, the clacks of her armored boots echoing out in the frozen air only to be interrupted by the frantic and almost feral scream of Habana. Maeve continued her course, undeterred, however and merely glared at the woman as if she were daring her to come forth and face her. As Habana rushed her, Maeve would look upon her movements with the Serene mind. The ripples exploding from her that seemed so threatening before were simple, trifling little things. It felt like she had minutes to respond to her attempted attack when it had only been half a second at best. As Habana rushed out at her Maeve, with all her power would practically glide out of the way of her kick. With the tilt of her head she managed to completely avoid the attempted strike. Her eyes narrowed beneath the demonic glow as she uttered yet another word. "Slow." She backed away in a flicker. The speed that she had attained with her recent power up being more than enough to outclass the proud alien warrior. Even with all the darkness she held she wasn't even close to Maeve. Not now. The demoness let out another ferocious roar as she held the impressive blade above her head. She was holding it effortlessly with one hand glaring down at Habana. Her jagged, dark aura began to explode around her as her toned form began to tense showing off her musculature where her body was exposed. The energy seemed to whip around her blade like it was some beacon of power as she let her aura radiate around her. As the concrete beneath her began to fracture and crack she would suddenly step forward. In an instant she would slam her blade forth in a downward cleave. She only cut the air, she made no effort to close the gap between her and Habana but, the force of the swing alone was enough to create a massive gust of wind. The ground beneath them rumbled and cracked as this mighty burst of wind suddenly exploded through the air. Windows shattered sending fractures of glass falling to the street. If Habana didn't move out of the way a hurricane of force would slam into her and potentially send her rocketing away. The raw display of power was enough to potentially harm the woman without Maeve even touching her! Just how much power did Maeve have? It was something both fighters were sure to find out!
The force behind Maeve's cleave created a blast of wind! [KP] 3/3 Serene Mind II will fade at the end of next turn! (Short post >_<)

To see Maeve putting out this much additional power seemingly out of nowhere was... frustrating to say the least, and Habana's best method of dealing with that frustration was to just focus it into anger and focus that anger into hitting Maeve as hard as possible and as many times as possible as quickly as possible, the first kick had in her mind intended to be just a setup, a way to get herself back into the flow of battle that Maeve's transformation had so throughly thrown her out of, dashing forward at top speed as Maeve seemed to almost lazily stride forward Habana had actually begun to feel a bit of a boost in confidence again even in the face of the overwhelming odds charging into battle always had a positive effect on her mindset.
Driving her leg at Maeve's head Habana was already cycleing through the possibilities for how she would follow up her attack, a few quick jabs at the demoness's chest, maybe a bit of focus on one of her legs in order to hinder her mobility? There were a lot of options and truthfully she would probably need to exhaust them all if she was going to actually stand a chance... but then Maeve simply almost casually tiltede her head out of the way of Habana's kick the limb completely mossing its mark in spite of how seemingly at east the defensive motion was, the surprise at how easy it had been for Maeve to dodge her attack threw Habana off her guard enough that her many planned follow ups were lost in that moment and as Maeve strode forward it forced Habana to flip back away from the demoness, Habana would claim it was to give her the room necessary to reevaluate her attack but in truth it had mostly been a subconscious action, an unwillingness to be so close to such an overwhelming foe.
As Habana landed she heard a single word from Maeve that caused her to grit her teeth, glaring at the demoness Habana was ready to fire back at her but in the blink of an eye and Maeve was suddenly gone, taken off guard and a bit confused Habana watched as Maeve reappeared her blade held high as energy surged all around her, Habana was briefly stunned by the show of power but quickly prepared herself to move to avoid the coming attack, only rather than any sort of attack Maeve had produced thus far instead of declaring its name and charging at full force Maeve instead simply swung her blade at the open air, Habana could tell from the way Maeve's energy reacted that what she was doing was not even a proper technique, simply a shor of raw power as Maeve swung her blade so hard it produced a gust of air.
Caught up in the burst of air Habana was flung backward, thankfully without any damaging energy behind the 'attack' it was easy enough to recover, producing a pair of platforms beneath her feet as she sought to right herself while the air sought to push her further Habana braced herself against them cringing slightly as the powerful burst of air battered her. Once the air lost much of its strength Habana allowed herself to fall from the platforms dropping to the ground and back into a fighting stance.
Now that she had weathered Maeve's attack Habana knew she needed to do something, that had been a display of power enough to send her hurtling away from Maeve with relative ease, and it had taken nearly nothing from Maeve in order to do so, what sort of damage could the demoness inflict if she simply decided to start putting real power behind her attacks? For now Habana simply needed to wait and watch, see what Maeve would do next and try her best to survive it while recovering some energy, if she could get herself back into a reasonable state she could perhaps power up an attack capable of harming Maeve, it took a lot from Habana to not simply charge in and attack the demoness she detested the idea that the scaled woman had evidently been holding back this whole time unfortunately patience was a necessity with an opponent this powerful.

Maeve looked up with her eyes blazing after her first swing. It had sent Habana back as she intended, but even with that simple display of power Habana still bared her teeth at her like a wild dog. Maeve closed her eyes, her serene mind fading as emotion began to swell up within her heart. "Idiot..." She growled, indignant rage slipping through clenched teeth. She shook her head, those spiked ruby bangs falling more freely now that her helmet was destroyed. "Why...Why don't you just give up now?!" She cried out, suddenly looking directly into Habana's gaze with wide eyes, almost in a plea to the saiyaness. "You've forced my hand, you've pushed me to this state... Shouldn't that be enough for you?! Why do you continue to fight?!" She asked her hands clenching closed and balling into tight fists before they could start to tremble with frustration. Though she tried to keep a lid on her outrage the way her ominous aura of black and red exploded around her, sparks of dark lightning arcing around her form in a wild and uncontrolled fashion "In the face of this power...Surely you realize that you can't win..." Without realizing it she began to tightly squeeze one around the hilt of her sword. "You must realize that continuing is pointless!" She spat, shaking her head as if she were in utter disbelief of the woman before her. "How can you be so stubborn?!" She asked in a low tone as her voice lost some of it's power. She lowered her gaze to the floor "I...I don't want to have to kill you." She nearly whispered. Her eyes squeezing shut as she stood there for a moment. "I don't think...I can control it...Not like this." Her eyes opened as she looked to the wicked blade her she was armed with. Even though she was out of her stance battle stance: her energy still coursed around her blade. Sparks of demonic electricity snaked it's way to the tip. "But..."
She slowly looked up, her blade rising to point it directly at Habana. Her glowing eyes began to blare brightly as her gaze sharpened, her reluctant stance tightened as she readied her blade. She stood for a moment a soft frown forming on her lips. "If it means ending this conflict... If it means I can keep everyone safe...I won't back down if you're to stubborn refuse to!!!"
She shot forward, The heavy steps of her boots crashing against concrete bringing her closer and closer to Habana. The energy radiating from her demonic gaze trailed behind her as sparks erupted from the sword dragging along the ground. " SAIYAN! DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR LIFE!!! JUST SURRENDER BEFORE I LOSE CONTROL!" She roared before slashing her blade forward in a small combo. Like the first slash these cuts in the air had enough force to create another series of small force explosions in the air. The attempt was to knock her off her feet. If successful, she'd dash forward and attempt to send an uppercut with her still armored gauntlet to her jaw only to follow it up with a blink into the air so she could send another air burst down to knock her back to the street (or what was left of it.) It was obvious that she was still holding back to an extent, not putting any energy behind what could be direct attacks and instead focusing on things that (while still painful) would incapacitate her rather than shred her to bits. She knew deep down that it wouldn't be enough. She knew that Habana was merely biding her time and gathering her energy. Luckily for her, these bursts of energy didn't seem to utilize too much of her new found wealth of power. Maeve knew she had to finish this soon. She had to... ...For everyone.

Habana watched Maeve carefully as she recovered from the demoness' attack curious to see what the woman's next move would be, there was of course a very good chance that any moment now she would launch some impossibly powerful attack Habana's way and end things just like that, but as Maeve drew her blade back after launching the gust there seemed to be a sort of... change about her, similar to how focused and serious she had become when she had initiated whatever she had done earlier, now however it seemed to be working in reverse as Maeve seemed to revert back to how she had been before her face becoming more expressive and rather immediately showing anger an anger that carried over as she spoke.
Habana could only smirk to herself as Maeve spoke, it was always amusing when a massively powerful opponent became frustraited by a weaker opponents choice to stand and fight rather than giving up, many times in her life Habana had been on this end of things, pissing off someone big and tough because she refused to back down and even when they proceeded to beat her bloody she'd refuse to stand down which only served to make them angrier.
Some would call it her being stubborn and pigheaded, unwilling to give up against literally impossible odds for no reason other than her pride, and to be honest Habana agreed with it, but unlike many she did not consider it a negative thing, it was part of what kept her going, her own unwillingness to accept defeat and instead the ability to force her opponent to beat her unconscious rather than surrendering, her mother had been the same way, even more so than her own stories implied from what she had learned from Sam. Today would be no different, it was very likely that Maeve would win this but Habana would be damned if she accepted it until the demoness finally bashed her hard enough to properly knock her out.
“It'll never be enough, -especially- because I had to push you into this state. It means that at some point during this fight you made the decision to hold back against me and how can I know you are not STILL holding back” Habana growled back at the demoness as she tightened her fists “The only way I can know I've pushed a battle as far as I can go is if I keep fighting until either I'm well and truly beaten, or I've beaten my opponent. I figured you already understood that from how we were talking earlier, back then you seemed to get it.” Habana said shifting her posture slightly as her fist ignited with violet energy while Maeve's aura began to surge and spark around her.
Habana met Maeve's gaze as she looked back up at her having herself never taken her eyes off the demoness, she needed to know every movement the sword wielding woman made if she was even going to have the slimmest of chances, her attention focused on Maeve Habana was able to just barely catch the movement, the sudden impossibly fast surge forward as Maeve closed the gap between them carving a deep gash into the ground as she dragged her massive blade.
Habana raised an eyebrow as Maeve roared, vaguely realizing that while she had picked up Maeve's name at no point had she properly introduced herself to Maeve and thus all the demoness had to call her by was 'saiyan' she cut at the air just as she had before but unlike her first attack this was a flurry of cuts aimed at creating a swarm of air blasts directed at Habana, Habana rolled out of the way of the first two but the third caught her in the shoulder swiftly followed by the remainder battering her around in rapid succession.
Habana only barely began to try and get herself righted as began recovering from the air onslaught trying to regain her bearings and return her focus on Maeve, she picked up very quickly that Maeve was once again right up on her, and it did not take intense focus or the sharp clarity her eye provided for Habana to feel the powerful impact of Maeve's armored gauntlet making contact with her lower jaw the force of which would send Habana skyward her head pounding from the force of the blow, her attention still -mostly- on Maeve's signature she felt the Demoness vanish from the ground appearing up above.
Forcing herself to focus Habana knew vaguely that Maeve putting herself up high was no good no matter what she planned to do, reaching out Habana forced a bit of energy into her hand causing the creation of a platform that combined with her ability to cling to them would bring her to an uncomfortable abrupt halt as the force of Maeve's punch nearly wrenched Habana's arm out of its socket as she stopped herself, as Maeve would unleash her latest air slice Habana would flip on the platform and properly brace herself for impact, no time to actually move out of the way of the blow this was merely a precaution to sstop the attack from being as bad as it could be, the air slash slammed hard into Habana's side causing her to let out a groan of pain as she released the platform allowing herself to begin falling back down to the ground.
With any luck the rather thorough beating that she was receiving and the strange tactics Habana was using to mitigate some of the beating would be enough to distract Maeve, she seemed intent on trying to force a surrender which too would hopefully help as Habana began to stop allowing her energy to refuel and instead began focusing it into her right fist, perhaps if she powered up a Kinetic Strike enough it could do some real damage.

Maeve's eyes widened seeing the bolt of purple energy glowing in Habana's palm. It was like a glowing beacon of her stubborn refusal to give in and see reason and she desperately clung to it, even while facing down the force of her blows. The soft violet light that hummed in her hand was almost mocking her, the symbol of Habana's defiance caused wrath to seep in the demoness' heart. The foul emotion was like a toxin coursing through her veins and clouding her thoughts. Images of Habana beating her down over and over again played through her mind. It all started with her glow. That defiant glow. Maeve landed on the ground, all sense of reason leaving her as her rage boiled over. The girl's words echoed in her mind causing her to put a shaky clawed hand over her face as if she were trying to shut the words out. She closed her eyes tight and shook her head over and over again but like a series angry hornets the words buzzed on and on droning louder and louder in her mind. "At some point during this fight you made the decision to hold back against me."
"How can I know you are not STILL holding back?!” “The only way I can know I've pushed a battle as far as I can go is if I keep fighting until either I'm well and truly beaten, or I've beaten my opponent."
"I figured you already understood that from how we were talking earlier, back then you seemed to get it.”
That was when she realized it, it wasn't solely stubbornness or pride that had been driving the warrior to fight on. While she was sure it was part of it; Maeve realized that this woman was frustrated. She wasn't irritated about losing, she wasn't that petty. No, the saiyan was irritated at the fact that Maeve seemingly wasn't taking this fight seriously. She was angry that Maeve was holding back. She wanted the challenge, the drive to push ahead to be the best she could be... When did Maeve lose sight of that? Was she so worried about 'saving her' that she denied her the one thing she desired from this conflict? That realization caused the hatred in her heart to melt away. The woman flushed before casting her gaze down in shame. "I'm sorry..." She said looking back up to her sincerely. "For the longest time... I've been burdened with the looming threat of becoming some sort of monster if I gave in to my power. I didn't want to kill you, so I kept holding myself back... It was foolish, even though I agreed to fight you to the fullest of my power I kept tempering myself... Honestly, I kept wishing you'd give up so we could stop this..." She let out a soft little chuckle before continuing. "I only gave you tastes of my true power... All while hoping you wouldn't force me to my absolute limit. Though even now you stand here ready to fight as hard as ever. You aren't deterred in the slightest..." "I'm sorry, I've been underestimating you since the start... That ends now though. You've more than proven you're worthy for the full power of my blade..." Maeve got into her stance as she spoke, energy filling the air as the mystical flames of purgatory lit her blade. She watched as the magical ki infused flame licked the katchin infused steel. "I'm going to bring you down with my signature technique! The Chaotic Rebellion Star will be your undoing! COME AT ME WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!" She roared, her aura erupting around her to punctuate her fearsome demand. She was going to put her all in this move. She was going to do it for Habana!

Habana grew just a bit worried as Maeve seemed to grow more and more angry, something about the demoness' sudden shift in temperament felt troubling and with someone that much more powerful than her seemingly growing more and more angry with her the very real possibility of Maeve putting her down permanently came to mind. It was a thought she had known to be a possibility when she chose to join Zucceta in the attack on Earth, while her own battle with Maeve had a far more... friendly? Air to it this WAS a war and she was among the aggressors, the group under the banner of a woman who had outright claimed that they were in fact here to kill the powerful warriors of earth and it would only be under surrender that others would be allowed to survive, it had always been a distinct possibility that if she DID lose that death would swiftly follow, part of Habana had accepted that as a possibility but it was certainly not something she wanted, even after a fight this intense Habana simply was not ready to die, she did however know one thing, even if she could tell Maeve would seek to take her life, she would not beg for her life, Habana was FAR too proud for something like that, she'd simply have to bank on her opponent, Maeve in this instance, choosing to not put her down.
Maeve seemed almost physically harmed by her words and that only served to further confuse Habana but as she stated that she had believed that at the start of the fight Maeve had understood her point of view Maeve seemed to collect herself again all the outrage and fury visibly lifting from her as she seemed to now understand and accept why Habana had not surrendered in the face of overwhelming odds. The time that Maeve had been taking to get herself sorted out had been a boon for Habana as it gave her more time to push more and more energy into her fist the violet power surging and pulsing as Habana fed it more of her energy fueling it up for what would hopefully be a game changing move, Habana not knowing that Maeve had utilized something very similar to the gift that Sam had given her before departing Vegeta still harbored the belief that Maeve would be in somewhat bad shape from the blow she had taken earlier, much like Habana herself was still gravely injured from the powerful blow that Maeve had landed herself.
Habana did her best to keep her expression mostly neutral as Maeve spoke, confirming for her what she had frustratingly believed, the power Maeve wielded now was one she had possesed the whole time, something she would have been capable of utilizing from the onset of the battle but that she had held back specifically to keep herself from harming Habana too much, but now that Habana was unwilling to stand down even in the face of Maeve full power Maeve accepted this and would now come at her with everything her current form had, Habana would finally get to see exactly how well she stacked up against the demoness at her best, no more holding back, no more playing around. This also meant that in all likelihood this next attack NEEDED to be the last one, the big blow to knock Maeve flat on her ass, Habana could feel the power surging within Maeve, she too was preparing something and it would only be a matter of time before the attack overwhelmed anything Habana could properly muster.
Meanwhile Habana's own attack was at a rather impressive level itself, enough power behind it that Habana was certain it would have taken Maeve down before if she made a direct hit with it, now though she would have to rely on all the punishment she had managed to inflict on Maeve up until now, punishment that Maeve was unaware was at this point all negated by the healing Maeve had received. “YOU WANT EVERYTHING!? THEN YOU CAN HAVE IT!” Habana roared once again accepting Maeve's challenge and tearing forward at the swordswoman her fist cocked back and burning with violet energy.
The distance between them was closed quite quickly, Habana's eyes darted all over Maeve's form searching for the best possible location to deliver her strike, ultimately Habana's aim settled on Maeve's exposed midsection, surely the strike she had delivered there earlier that had shattered part of the armor had to have softened up the demoness' gut and a powerful Kinetic Strike delivered there would HAVE to be enough, once in range of Maeve Habana would wrench her fist forward attempting to drive the violet power into Maeve's midsection “HYAAAAAAAA”

Maeve's eyes widened as once again she was on the receiving end of one of Habana's Kinetic Strikes. The fist dug into her soft underbelly as Habana had planned with all of her defiant fury driving it. At the point of impact there was a pause as the two fighters were connected. The world seemed to stop around them as the air became deathly silent leaving the two to soak in the moment. This silence didn't last however, as it was suddenly shattered when the ground began to do the same beneath them. The fractures and fissures of concrete were torn asunder as a powerful shock wave erupted from Habana's fist forcing the ruined ground to rip free and hover in the air as shards of shrapnel. The force caused the barely armored demoness to slide back a foot or so, despite her best efforts to keep her position firm. Filling the new found distance between them was a blinding amethyst flash that exploded out from the impact. Maeve bared her teeth and fought back a cry as the rupture of ki violently rocked her form and scalded her sensitive stomach. This brilliant display of ki was far more potent and volatile than anything the half blooded saiyan had produced up to that point, if Maeve hadn't been utilizing her mastery in the elements to bolster her body the punch would have easily ripped through her. That much force to her weak stomach should have brought her to her knees.Maeve remained standing.
"That was nothing!" She barked taking a step forward as soon as the flare of Habana's ki dissipated. "I promised you my all! I just hope it's not too much!" Her face twisted into a snarl as her aura began to flicker and flare around her. She clenched her fists drawing her arms in as her aura suddenly got brighter and brighter nearly consuming the dragoness in it's glow. She screamed stretching her arms out as she allowed her aura to explode out around her in a storm of black and red light. Larger chunks of earth and concrete were lifted up around them as she let her power overflow into her violent aura. She continued her feral demonic roar, her pupils narrowing to slits as the purgatory flames that coated Fateburn were drawn from the blade and mixed into her aura. She glared down at Habana the aura extinguishing instantly as she took up her blade."Chaotic Rebellion Star!"
Her blade suddenly flashed forward, it would look only like her form flickered for a heartbeat but the attack would be finished already. An explosion of wind blew behind Habana as the displaced air escaped where it could. In reality what had happened was Maeve slashed out five times in a furious blitz of skill and speed as she did before, each slash connected and with each other using the momentum of each former slash to power and guide each new slash. If she attacked with reckless abandon she would have cut Habana to ribbons, instead she attempted to attack with enough force that her blade would dig into flesh fracture bone. She also aimed Her first 4 slashes at each of Habana's limbs with the intent to cripple the woman so she couldn't fight any longer. "Give in! Relent! Surrender! Desist!" Maeve roared out at each slash. She held the blade up high for the last slash "ABANDON THIS FOOLISHNESS AND LEAVE MY HOME ALONE!" She concluded, punctuating her statement and her attack with a downward cleave aimed at Habana's shoulder. Maeve was attempting to force her gash open by digging into it once again with her demonic cleaver. It was a bit morbid, and Maeve couldn't imagine anything more painful but she needed to end this duel. Making it so she couldn't fight and overwhelming her with pain was the only thing she could to stop her do short of killing her. She just hoped it would be enough...

Habana grinned victoriously as she felt her fist make impact with Maeve's midsection and for a brief moment everything was still before the impact of her Kinetic Strike hitting someone as powerful as Maeve erupted around them causing a massive shock wave to emanate from both Maeve and Habana cracking and then splitting the ground around them, Habana KNEW she hit Maeve perfectly, she'd managed to slip past Maeve's defenses and landed a decisive strike and the amount of raw pour coursing through her fist just HAD to be enough, Habana's mind immediately expected that following the impact that Maeve would be sent flying with the blow, hopefully also rendered unconscious so as to finally put this battle to an end, Habana had certainly enjoyed it thus far but now Maeve was a far too powerful opponent to simply let things continue progressing as they were..
The only problem was that as Habana, opened her eyes to survey the effect her attack had rendered upon Maeve... she was faced with a truly terrifying sight, Maeve, still standing, her face only barely showing any signs that she had even noticed the attack, the only true signs that Maeve had even been hit at all were the scorch marks adorning her midsection and the small fissures that Maeve's feet had torn in the ground as she was sent skidding backward with the force of the blow. All Habana could really see that she had done was that she had accomplished pushing Maeve away. Habana blinked rapidly a few times trying her best to will what could only be some sort of illusion some trickery, there was no way that Maeve could have been completely unaffected by her attack! It made no sense!
Habana grit her teeth in frustration as Maeve spoke up taking a step forward as she did so and prompting Habana to take an involuntary step back to keep the distance between them. Habana's mind reeling as she tried to come up with something, anything she could do to turn things back in her own favor again but it was clear as day that Maeve was preparing to unleash her attack now and even if she didn't Habana's only choice to avoid her would be to flee, to surrender, something she had NO intention of doing, especially after having spoken out against Maeve suggesting it to her already. Habana tensed her entire body preparing herself for the worse, plotting out any and ever possible way to move to lessen the impact of the coming attack, surely if she could see what Maeve was going to do perhaps there would be a way ANY way to get around it.
As Maeve powered up further the splintered pieces of concrete and metal began floating around her until finally she bolted forward, once again far FAR too fast for Habana to even properly keep track of, all she knew about what Maeve was up to was the name, the name of the attack she had declared, she had used it once already and Habana knew in a basic sense how the attack worked.
And it did not bode well at all, something like the Lightning Lunge was hard to dodge but if she DID dodge it then that was it, once simple attack mitigated, but the Chaotic Rebellion Star was an entirely different beast, Maeve's last use of it held a vague pattern of, unsurprisingly, a star, Habana had countered the attack via raw power before, now she had no power to counter with, no energy to bolt out of the way, and no time to come up with anything else. The first slash came faster than Habana could see slashing her left arm and producing a spray of red as the blade cut deep into the limb, before Habana knew it the same was done to her other arm, and then a leg driving Habana back as she finally had a chance to let out a screech of pain before the fourth strike landed against her remaining leg, the damage forcing Habana to one knee.
But there was still one last strike to be delivered, and it was this strike that Habana was able to actually see coming just a moment before Maeve would deliver it, aimed at her wounded side it seemed primed to be delivered directly to the wound itself, Habana in her pained daze did the only thing that made any sense, she sought to put up a defense, to stop Maeve she brought up her damaged arm the limb pulsing with a dull almost sickly purple hue as if Habana was trying to initiate a Kinetic Strike but lacked the energy to preform it properly, Maeve aim with the attack was to simply reopen the original wound, instead her final attack would cleave through Habana's arm giving Habana just enough time to fall to her back and avoid the rest of the strike.
Pain wracked Habana's mind as every inch of her body, even those not directly affected by Maeve's attack burned with pain, the blade strikes were incredibly precise, limiting how much Habana could even utilize her limbs anymore and on top of damaging her limbs the blood loss would surely take her down, on top of that because of the blood loss and her failed attempt to initiate a defensive Kinetic Strike Habana's energy levels were plummeting as well, she could feel the strange power slowly seeping away returning her to her normal state, however the drop in clarity she had expected was even greater than expected, and as Habana lay there she realized that for the first time in years she was seeing the world in its normal state, the energy normally constantly coursing through her eye was gone snuffed out by her foolish overuse of power. Habana made a brief chuckle that quickly turned into coughing blood as she realized she had never even turned the scouter she had received on Zucceta's ship on, the screen remaining inactive and blank even now.
Perhaps it was not the most sensible course of action but Habana reached up with her remaining, damaged hand and pressed the button to activate the device, wanting to knew how things were going for the others before allowing herself to descent into unconsciousness. With a beep the device fired up, tuned in exclusively to the channels devoted to the attack on Earth the scouted gave Habana a rapid stream of information that her weakened state could only barely keep up with, many of the other attack locations were doing poorly, some were doing reasonably well but that was perhaps because they were devoid of stronger enemies, as the feed shifted to Natto, Aspa, and Tomo's sector Habana was horrified at what the scouter was displaying, the others had not been beaten nor had they won, they had defected entirely, betrayed everyone.
Habana had been willing to accept her defeat at Maeve's hands, simply letting herself fall to unconsciousness had been her plan for now, but with this new information Habana's hand, as quickly as it's damaged state could move, dug into her pocket and produced a glass vial containing a red bean, popping the lid Habana dumped the bean into her mouth and bit down on it feeling a flood of power course through her body as she bit into the strange bitter tasting bean .

Maeve's eyes squeezed shut almost on instinct as the sick squelching sound of steel rending through flesh and the swift 'pop' of a bone being cleaved through; filled the air as Habana desperately tried to block the last cleave only to lose her arm instead. "I'm sorry..." The demoness spoke in a barely audible tone as her headfins drooped down and her form trembled. Her eyes managed to squeeze shut even tighter as the thick, warm spray of blood splashed on her face and coated her form. She shuddered, the scent and feel of the blood on her body excited the some twisted, violent part of her that was buried in her demonic psyche. The violent urge for more bloodshed seemed to try and surface only to be subdued and pushed down by her will alone. She would not take joy in her foes suffering. She wasn't like her father. Nor was she like the vile 'Lady Death' and her saiyan fleet that craved chaos and destruction. She was better than them. Still, Habana seemed different. She hated how it had come to such a bloody result; but, despite her begging and pleading, Habana refused to give in...So, as always, she was forced to cut down her foe. She hated that it had to be done but she was given no other option... So with a sigh she would sheathe her blade. She turned away from Habana looking to the sky. "...I just want to go home." She lamented softly as she watched the darkening sky. She knew however, that despite her desire to return to the south the fight was far from over... She closed her eyes briefly, listening to the howl of the frosty wind as she tried to think of what to do. She didn't want to leave Habana. She didn't want these frigid ruins to be her grave. Though, she was unsure if bringing her back to the main battle was wise. There seemed to be a tense air coming from where Bing and Kaula were... She hadn't seen or heard from their battle in what felt to her like an eternity. She wanted to get there as soon as possible and dragging a wounded Habana would just weigh her down and probably get them both killed. So she decided to go alone, trudging ahead on the remains of the concrete towards the main battle. Her heavy footsteps were weighted by her own fatigue, it had been an arduous battle and the toll was evident on the demonic swordswoman. She was determined however, to make it to the battle to aid Bing and the others. So onward she walked... "!!!?!"
A jolt of pain exploded throughout her suddenly, stopping her dead in her tracks. She let out a shocked groan of pain as her body suddenly stopped and collapsed forcing her to her knees. One hand dug into the snow while the other moved to cradle over her tender flesh. A trail of blood trickled out of her mouth turning patches of the white snow scarlet as she began to pant heavily. The strength behind Habana's attack was unreal... The woman managed to bring Maeve to her knees even when she was fighting at full power... She was just glad she had managed to defeat her, even with all of her power Habana was more than a match for Maeve and her blade... If the fight continued any longer Maeve surely wouldn't be standing... She was hardly standing now! She grit her teeth, pulling herself to a stand while still tenderly clutching a hand over her damaged stomach. Her panting started to normalize as she took a moment to steady her breathing. That was when she heard it... One word that would make Maeve's face pale. "NO."Maeve's breathing quickened, her heart pounded in her chest as she stood completely still. There was power in her denial, all her hatred and rage was saturated in that one word. It was terrifying...She was supposed to be finished! Why didn't she fall?!WHY WASN'T SHE FINISHED?! Maeve turned, drawing Fateburn once more and glaring down towards Habana....She wasn't finished....THIS WASN'T OVER.

Every time Habana bit down on the strange red bean she felt a strange surge of energy pulse through her body, the first surge seemed to push her energy levels back to a reasonable level enough that Habana was certain that if she had not been actively bleeding out she could have started fighting, then the next bite sent surges of energy into her extremities, energy pulsing through the wounds that Maeve's blade had carved into her and almost instantly sealing them up, even the long wound that she had received early in the battle received a surge of energy focused into it relieving all of the remaining pain and tenseness that Habana's own slapdash attempt to patch it up had done, then came something... surprising, a surge pulsed into what remained of her arm and seemed to linger there as if it were trapped trying to continue on to the limb that was no longer connected to Habana and after a moment of being trapped the energy began to push and for the first time since biting into the bean Habana felt a surge of pain as the energy began to push and push against her, as it continued pushing and the pain began to subside Habana realized what the latest energy surge was doing, it was somehow rebuilding her arm from scratch.
Habana's breathing was heavy as she began to feel her strength returning to her, her eye once more bursting with violet energy, thankfully it did little to hinder the scouter's ability to keep her updated on the situation, the vital information that had pushed her to stand once more locked firmly on her screen, the names of the Saiyan Solar Empire's traitors, Natto, Tomoroko, and Aspa. Habana's fury was briefly paused as the scouter indicated that Aspa had already fallen in battle, but that still left the other two. Habana grit her teeth and clenched her fist finding that the bean had done it's work and rebuilt her arm, a brief look at the rebuilt limb confounded Habana as the limb that it had produced was only sort-of like her old one, slightly more muscled than her other arm the nails on her hand were the most curious aspect, they were long and serrated like the claws of an animal.
Flexing her hand Habana let out a few more breaths before slamming her fist into the ground causing the concrete to split and fracture in every direction as her expression twisted in anger far more anger than she had ever felt before in her life, she had almost simply accepted defeat at Maeve's hands, she had known she was beaten but the fact that the bean had been capable of restoring her and that she had at least vaguely known it would be able to do something akin to this should have been enough to push her on to continue the battle, it had taken something even worse than defeat though to rouse Habana's fury to this extent, betrayal, Natto and the others had abandoned the war, abandoned there battle, they were the reason that the powerful signature was able to move into battle with Zucceta and even further unbalance the odds against the Queen.
But even beyond that they had not JUST abandoned the Queen or the army, they had abandoned HER, none of them had even made an attempt to move into her battle, to even see if she might want to join them, Habana would have flatly denied such a thing and done her best to convince them how idiotic such actions were, but she had never even gotten the chance to do either. Habana's breathing became ragged with her fury as she slammed her fist into the ground once more, this time however it produced a far more devastating impact sending small fissures in every direction as Habana's power began to grow pushing higher and higher in spite of no ready displays of her tattoo's beginning to glow to indicate that she was drawing upon the same power as before.
“Sometimes you never know who you can really trust, in my experience though. Its usually just the ones you consider family” Sam's words echoed in her mind, a reminder of why she had kept many people at a distance, she had heard those words a few times in her life, Sam was always the one to pick her back up after a big betrayal, old friends turning on her, her ex's showing there true colors. It seemed that this time in spite of how well things seemed to be going with the younger Saiyans, she had chosen wrong yet again. Habana slammed her fist down once more this time the impact creating a sound like a clap of thunder as it tore apart the ground on impact pulling Habana into a crater of her own creation, her skin darkening and her hair going white once again displaying Habana entering her transformation once again however the power Habana was putting out in this form was FAR beyond what she had been capable of before and yet it would continue to grow.
Habana felt the strange clouding of her thoughts once more, whispering at her to tear apart Maeve, but with a furious shake of her head Habana drove off the thoughts with far greater ease than she had before, Maeve was not to blame, she was merely her opponent, Habana was certainly not entirely pleased with the demoness for holding back against her for the entirety of the fight and had ever intention of showing Maeve why such a move was foolish at the soonest opportunity, but no Maeve did not deserve a fate such as the one the whispering wanted. Such things only suited traitors. Habana let out a few heavy breaths, she felt as if her body was almost at a bursting point with power like how she had felt when she had charged her kinetic strike for so long just to try and scratch Natto, far too much power being packed together with nowhere to go, it needed to be released to be wielded to break her enemies.
So Habana focused inward and released the pent up power, the surge of energy was unlike anything she had ever felt before, more power than she had ever wielded, that she had ever even been able to comprehend wielding flooded her body as her muscles began to tense, expanding and growing more defined with every second, the power flooded everywhere causing her normally violet aura to take on a dark golden hue as her hair ignited like a roaring fire bursting free from its bods and flaring out behind her to create a long powerful mange of golden hair. What remained of her weights were torn apart with the transformation being sent scattering around her the weights not built with the expanding qualities normal to Saiyan clothing due to the lack of need, getting expanding weights would have simply cost more than necessary as both Jala and Habana 'knew' Habana would never have need for such a thing.
Habana felt her body shaking as the energy surge finally seemed to settle a bit, her entire body still felt like a raging inferno only barely contained by her physical form but rather than just constantly surging outward expanding the crater her punch had first produced it was now focused inward utterly at Habana's own disposal , pushing herself up Habana stood from her knee finally standing tall for the first time after Maeve's attack. Free of her weights Habana felt her full power for the first time in quite a bit, then she pinpointed Maeve, at some point the demoness had noticed that Habana was not quite as down for the count as she might have hoped, Habana could feel the power surging through Maeve and into her blade, the two technically separate things, Maeve, and the sword almost feeling like one entity a strange quality Habana had not perceived before, perhaps it was the closeness between Maeve and her blade, to devote oneself to thoroughly to a weapon so unique mad to mean at least some part of you resided within the weapon itself.
A few breaths and Habana would rocket out of the crater moving from within to in front of Maeve as quickly as hew new power would allow, the distance would have been a minor inconvenience before, now it was as easy as taking a single step in her un-transformed state. The new golden Habana would take a brief moment to look Maeve over, it almost funny how easy and frequently the tables turned throughout the fight, but now this would be the last shift in the climate of the battle, Maeve claimed this to be her full power, everything at her disposal was on display, and it PALED in comparison to the strength Habana could feel radiating from herself. Deciding to test her new limb Habana pushed a fraction of her power into it, causing the demonic limb to burst with golden fire as Habana drove her fist forward aiming yet another punch at Maeve's midsection intent on finally achieving what she had sought to do before. “This is over” Habana growled in a low voice, without needing to focus entirely on Maeve to feel certain she would deliver her blow Habana let her senses wander, feeling the power radiating from Zucceta's battle and noting something curious, one of the warriors that had been fighting Zucceta had broken off, and was making a beeline right for them. Frustratingly it was one of the more powerful warriors, one of the ones quite capable of standing against Zucceta and not being utterly annihilated instantly, but in spite of the difference in power Habana felt strangely confident, as if the power difference did not matter.
