As Nemo does his little maneuver to strike his opponent, Defrosch turns around and lifts his tail up, using it as a shield to parry the kick. ~ “So that leaves me being either good or completely bad” ~ The literal namekian interjects. Then, his body seems to flicker for a moment, leaving an afterimage behind. He then hears the arcosian’s voice calling him from another distance and turns around to face him. By then, Def was already executing his counter attack: several ki blasts being thrown at the bulky warrior. Nemo crosses his arms in front of himself to try and block the attack. He soaks up some harm, although there’s a bit of breakthrough damage. Nothing to crippling, however.
The fumes from the explosions created a barrier, blocking Defrosch’s sight and Nemo’s for a moment. Still, the namekian knew where the black and white skinned alien was as he saw his position before being forced to get in to the defensive. Next thing Def would see, was the patrolmen coming out of the smokescreen, gliding over the ground with his flight technique and with his arms stretched behind him, aiming to connect his fist to the arcosian’s face.

It seems as though the Namekian is still making their assessment on Defrosch's fighting prowess whilst not fully utilizing their own. Defrosch isn't sure what to make of this theory... His opponent was fairly stoic, so it was hard to get a read on them. At least until they questioned Defrosch's words once more.
"Ah, its another figure of speech. It's a positive statement. You haven't been on this planet for very long now, have ya?" Defrosch watched on as Nemo soaked up the ki blasts. The smoke didn't have a chance to clear before the Namekian had rushed forward! Defrosch himself wasted no time either! He too would kick off the ground bringing his arm back to take a similar swing at Nemo!
Would they clash?! Or would they both hit each other?! The suspense is real!

Defrosch remarks the possibility of the namekian not being around Earth for too long, given his obliviousness to some figures of speech. But that’s just how he was; he was unable to tell sarcasm and connotations as he simply perceived things in their literal sense. ~ “I’ve been here for about four months” ~ Those were the words proffered before the namekian came out of the curtain of dust and smoke with his fists arched back to deliver a punch at Defrosch. The arcosian didn’t lose any time, rushing to the attack.
In one epic fist clash scene, both warriors strike the other’s face at the same time, pushing each other in opposing directions. Nemo flips in the air to regain control of his flight and sinks his hand in the ground in order to stop him from going backwards any further, rutting the ground and lifting a trail of smoke during the process. He stands up relatively well, knowing a single punch like that wouldn’t be much of a trouble for Defrosch as all, judging by the skill he noticed in the man. ~ “I guess I should say you're not half bad as well?” ~ The stoic namekian praises with a smirk in his face. He forfeits his action for this turn.

A form of duel in which two combatants could understand each other. Yes, perfect. This is the kind of clash Defrosch would want in a sparring match. Strikes traded, hits evaded, surprise attacks made. Simply put; exactly how sparring should be in his mind.
Separating from their clash, Defrosch twirled into the air, throwing his aura out for a moment to stabilize himself before floating back down onto the ground, standing just as proudly as Nemo. "Four months eh? Heh, I've been here for couple of years." Now hopefully, Nemo wouldn't mistake that statement as simply two years.... So Defrosch made an addendum to that statement. "Er.. Seven or so years, to be more precise." Even so, Defrosch had his own difficulty understanding Earth and its people. Not that he was going to admit that.
Oho? Whats this? Is that a bit of the Namekian's own sharp wit revealing itself? "Aha, thank you~" Defrosch nods in approval before getting back into his fighting stance. "So, shall we continue with the match or begin more formal introductions?"

~ "That’s quite some time” ~ Nemo remarks at what the alien said about being a tenant on the blue planet for at least two years. He then takes on an offensive fighting stance again, readying himself to resume the fight. ~ “I guess we’re doing fine, doing both concomitantly” ~ The green skinned alien responds to the arcosian, regarding what he says about furthering introductions an fighting. He then brings his arms forward, charging an energy ball in each of them. Then, elliptical blasts begin to shoot out at Defrosch in rapid fire, like a machine gun; this time however, it wasn’t a facade like in the beginning of their spar session.
OOC: The "machine gun" thing is just flavor. It's a basic ki blast in power.

"Hah! yeah, I guess it is... Though I'm not gonna waste any of that time!" Because relaxing isn't a waste of time, even if a lot of stuck up people say that it is. But what would they know? Bunch of party poopers, probably. Defrosch is the kind of person that would like all of his parties to remain un-pooped. "I'm guessing you're not going to waste time either!"
"I can tell...!" As Nemo unleashed his barrage, Defrosch countered with a basic wave of his own ki, some of Nemo's ki bullets managed to bypass the wave and hit Defrosch. "We both have something we don't wanna give up on." Ahh yes, thats how it goes. Warriors do tend to understand each other through their fists!

Nemo smirks when the arcosian remarksabout the alien seemingly not being up to waste any time. Indeed… the namekian was too active to let his life simply waste away. ~ “Definetely not… Time is the one thing you lose and can never retrieve” ~ He remarks in regards to the tailed alien’s statement.
Defrosch then readied a counter against Nemo’s renzoku energy dan (read it as those generic energy bullets I shot at you); he charged a single energy wave to defend himself while attacking at the same time. Although he was successful in creating an opportunity for his attack to get through, one or another ball of ki got through and damaged the warrior slightly. Nemo quickly crosses his arms in front of himself blocking the blast, which rather than exploding on contact seemed to be contained within place for a fraction of an instant. The green skinned martial artist then lets out a yell, uncrossing his arms abruptly as he brings them to his sides, releasing a KIAI in the process, what protects him from Def’s assault. ~ “We all do. Giving up is never an option! No matter how insignificant one thing may look!” ~ Nemo gets back at the alien in response to his last line of dialogue. He refrains from doing any other actions this turn.

‘Time is the one thing you lose and can never retrieve’
Ah yes. A statement that Defrosch wouldn’t hesitate to agree with, considering that he views his time on Arcose to have been wasted thanks to who he grew up around. Having only yourself to trust with whatever gifts you have does tend to make you pretty annoyed with those around you that simply didn’t bother to understand. "Hah, the more if it you get the less of it there is..!" Yet another bizarre yet strangely true statement from the Arcosian.
Defrosch would push on with his ki wave until it was all but disintegrated by Nemo's Kiai. The leftover ki bullets along with this Kiai caused dust and dirt to abruptly encompass the area once again. “But you’re correct there!” The Arcosian warrior would then use this opportunity to quickly launch himself upward and over the cloud of dust, whilst leaving an afterimage behind. He briefly floated in the air, waiting for the dust to settle a bit before rushing back down towards Nemo, with a karate chop at the ready. “Giving up on something easily…” Defrosch would stop just before he hit the Namekian. The sudden rush of wind from his descent and abrupt stop would instantly disperse the cloud of dust. “...Well, lets just say its not my style.” Defrosch shrugged before hopping backwards, awaiting Nemo’s response; be it words, or fists.

The force generated by Nemo’s Kiai covered the battlefield in fumes that blocked the dueliests’ sight during an instant. Def took that as an opportunity to trick Nemo into believing he maintained his previous position by leaving an afterimage in place while his trueself shot upwards. When the smoke cleared, the decoy dragged the patrolman’s attention to it, who became unaware of the arcosian darting down at him with his hand in position to deliver a karate chop at him. When Nemo becomes aware of Defrosch’s location, he has no momentum left to try and dodge, being left with the option of raising his arm to brace himself. Even still, the tailed alien was faster, having the advantage to get his attack through… if he wanted so, that is. Instead, Def stops right before connecting his attack; the kinetic energy accumulated in his body cause the remaining dust and smoke to disperse as he abruptly breaks, balking his action. Nemo’s arm was midway up, proving he would have been hit without managing to put up a proper defensive stance, had the alien went through with the attack. That caused the greenie to wonder if that was another facade. Of course, his wonderment couldn’t last more than a fragment of an instant, as if he kept on trying to devise his true plans, he would grant him enough of a handicap to pummel him a few times while he was lost amidst his amusement. Nemo did the obvious when you don’t know what to do; he leaped a yard back. Defrosch did the same, keeping his stance and locking eyes on Nemo. ~ “I can tell that by the way you fight… even though you just gave up on concluding your attack. You would have hit me, you know” ~ Nemo replies. Rather than retaliating, he remains in place, adjourning his acting as he waits for Defrosch’s response.

Defrosch lets out a chuckle. "True. I could have. But would it bode well for either of us if I had gone too far? While a sparring match does require a certain level of tenacity, its..." The Arcosian pauses, seemingly lost in thought for a moment. "Its best not to overdo it. I'll say that much." He shakes his head snapping back into reality. "On the other hand, if it was a fight between enemies, you'd know. Cause thats a different case entirely." Does that mean Defrosch considers Nemo a friend? Honestly, its hard to tell.
"I noticed that you've given me more attack opportunities... So how about you do go for it this time?" The Arcosian grinned, noticing that his opponent decided to not act first quite a few times. "Aaand... Hmm I think I can give you my name... If you can grab my tail, and hold it for more than five seconds..." He held out a hand, to indicate this as dramatically as possible. "If I manage to.. Lets say hold your antennae together, you tell me your name. Hows about it? Sound like a good challenge?"

OOC: Sory for the delay Def.
Indeed. This wasn’t a “serious” showdown, so giving your partner a chance to breathe even though was a nice way to keep the “game” going for a while longer. Such etiquette in battle was also a way to show a bit of character along with fighting skills. Nemo appreciated that, specially since it seemed Def had noticed the patrolman himself had bid his time quite a few times and decided on his own to repay the courtesy. For Nemo, such small things meant he wasn’t fighting a common thug…. but a true warrior. ~ ”I like the way you think. And I agree a hundred percent” ~ Nemo says with a smirk.
Then, the arcosian proposes a little challenge for the greenie: if he managed to grab a hold of his tail for five seconds, he would Nemo his name. And then, if he managed to grab his antennae, Nemo would tell him his name. They would have to maintain their grip on the target for five seconds. It occurred to Nemo he was so intrigued with Defrosch’s presence at first and was so impetuous with his invitation to a spar that both parties ended up forgetting to do proper introductions. Still, it paid off to lay out an interesting game for the two warriors; Nemo enjoyed the idea. ~ “Fair enough. Do you propose we will be doing this one at a time or are we supposed to attempt to complete our objective at the same time?” ~ Nemo inquires.

Defrosch would eagerly await the Namekian’s response to the challenge. He would also note a small change in his sparring partner’s tone. He agreed with the way he differentiated sparring and an actual battle. Was this… Some form of respect? “Heh.. People don’t often agree with me on that… Or at all, actually. Maybe I’ve just met all the wrong people before now.”
When giving it a bit more thought, Defrosch found it rather odd that he seems to be meeting more reasonable folk nowadays. At least dealing with the more aggressive and egotistical residents of this planet was simple- Just give them a sound thrashing so they wouldn’t bother you ever again… Or as often, being that most are overly stubborn.
Defrosch grinned as Nemo agreed with the idea. “I think if we were to take to our objectives at the same time, it would provide a more worthwhile challenge. This way we would have to think fast, and be ready to choose between what to prioritize- be it defense and offence- at a moment's notice. Much like in true combat.” Defrosch assumed his fighting stance once again. “Anyway, I think you can have the first move this time.”
OOC: No problem, I was pretty slow on posting a few times myself as well.
