Having been convinced he was finally in the clear, Liang opened his eyes and stood from his kneeling position slowly. He took one last energy survey of the surrounding areas and confirmed that battles had begun and ended alike; new power signatures had dotted across his sensory impulse, but none of them had headed in his direction. It seemed he was going to be the one to focus on the objective, and then immediately fall back to regroup with his fellow Blue Banners after the fact. He stuck to alleys and narrow roads through the city, not risking being spotted in mid-flight, and sprinted along the path to the hospital. Avoiding the few large entrenchments of the global military, it seemed they had enacted a safety lockdown of the large medical facility. While the human warrior would have enjoyed not having to do things the hard way, they had been embedded into the grounds fairly well. Most of the vehicles had gone off to the front while many soldiers protected more vulnerable positions; it seemed as if rather than risk losing anyone in an evacuation, this particular group had decided that trying to protect the structure many were housed in would be a more ideal choice. However, Li had a different method of thinking. If he could evacuate those who were fit to leave, he would station his men at the hospital to protect those who were bed-ridden and sickly or injured. With the building surrounding and firearms facing outward, he had no easy stealthy way to make his approach so he decided to make Plan B his Plan A. He vaulted upward in flight to a building across from the hospital, then stood tall and straight as he stared down at his opposition.
Bringing one hand up to chest level, he lined up his fingers and turned his hand sideways into what appeared to be a somewhat meditative pose. He surged his ki forward into his hand, and aimed for center mass at the military's defensive line. Charging up his Aura Assault, the small orb appeared at the tip of a finger before he swiped his hand in a horizontal motion strongly. The orb split into several and arced in on the same general position, decimating the forward defense in an explosion. Using the smokescreen as a cover, he leaped from the building and burst into flight, shooting through the smoke like a bullet before crashing through one of the ground floor windows tucked into a ball to avoid cutting himself on glass. Landing into a crouch, the sight of two more soldiers turning to look in panic resulted in him bursting forward, leaping at one to kick him in the chest and using the propulsion to spin kick the other. As both crashed to the floor, he resumed clearing the ground level of the few soldiers stationed inside before signaling his unit to come in and begin sweeping the upper floors. The sound of glass crashing from several different positions and a large, unified cloud of smoke drifting from several areas to combine brought a small smirk to his face as he advanced up the stairs. His forward entry served as a good distraction for his men to take the flanks, and a quick response from cell leaders into his comm queried a response.
''Affirmative. The front defense has been cracked through, it should be safe to begin evacuation. Keeping anyone in here would be a death sentence with what's going on in the city right now; double time. This building could crash down on us at any given minute. Regroup at the pre-designated position after the civilians have made it out of the city, and guard them with your lives. I'm going to make sure the path is clear to make this as smooth as possible.'' Flicking his comm unit onto mute, he exited the building quickly and made his way toward the escape route. Surprisingly, the city hadn't been seriously blockaded just yet; most of the army's forces were more concerned with the open combat in the streets, though he did see a convoy en route. Taking off into the sky once more, he let loose a ki blast at a vehicle in the center, blowing out a tire and decimating the frame of a transport truck. Soldiers piled out and the convoy turned to give chase. As he streamed through a hailstorm of gunfire, he successfully led the ensemble of troops off their designated path before loosing another Aura Assault, making short work of the small grouping of vehicles. The infantry fled in terror and panic, and he struck a small button on his comm unit to signal for the last stage of evacuation. With the path clear, his unit shouldn't have had any trouble regrouping with him.
He wasted no time in meeting back up, and took one last look at the city regrettably, seemingly unsettled by something. Giving the order to move out, he led the evacuation while confident that his unit had followed orders and handed over the hospital to the general BBA infantry.
