"I am not so certain she's just here for that or that she'll be posing as a problem, but the concerns you two have will be observed and a judgement will be had," Koldar replied to Daria and Dantallion. He brought his hands behind his back, feeling a need to crack his elbows and shoulders. The hands clutched each other, and he raised his hands up like, straightening his arms in the process. With a quick lift, his elbows would crack very lightly, and he'd get loosen the back of his shoulders a bit too!
He rolled his shoulders and started rolling his head around his neck. As he did, he questioned, "Alright, before we get started, why don't we set up whom we're each going to be sparring? Equal grounds is where we want to have, and for this, I plan to keep this heavy thing on."
Meanwhile, Voca clapped his hands above himself and looked at both Somatotrope and Taiga, who'd been struggling under the pressure. He addressed them both with a smile, kicking his foot to the side on the ground and making a crescent to loosen up his sides, "Come now! You have to breathe and learn to adjust! While it may not be important for Arcosians to breathe, due to their physiology, it still means that they can bring out the extra 'Umph,' that you'll want. If you've ever seen and/or heard bodybuilders grunting, that is because they are maintaining their breath to keep going! Now, I want you two to mimic what I am doing. Hands and claws above the head and breathe. Then slowly shift your leg out and bend down, breathing calmly. We gonna stretch out the torso sides."
It seemed Koldar had addressed their concerns, though somewhat dismissively. Dantalion shrugged in response turning to watch as Soma and Taiga seemed to struggle with the environment, while some Heran instructed them on how to handle things in here. He raised a brow a he watched Soma groan and moan, it made sense. They were a six-foot tall behemoth, Gravity was always going to play a bigger part on them than it would someone like Ais or Taiga. Taiga slowly pulled himself up, Dantalion giving a little clap in response before turning to Ais.
He looked him up and down, he couldn't sense Ki, but was almost certain he had gotten stronger. If he hadn't then maybe he had reached his peak, and that would be a damn shame. "Yo, Ais. You wanna train together again, or you wanna spar with one of the Arcosian Empire?" He inquired, a single round of Gravity training and already Ais had acclimated, he wouldn't lie, he was rather impressed with the Arcosian. "Won't lie. It might be best for you to train with one of your own. They might be able to give you better tips on how to fight than I could." He sniffed, looking over the rest, none of them was comparable to Dantalion, sure Soma was big, but even than Dantalion still rose two foot higher than them, and Voca the caring Heran, an idea he still couldn't figure out no matter how many times he tried was still almost a complete foot shorter. Might have been better for Voca and Soma to train together than for Dantalion.
Which left him with Koldar. The Supreme Commander of Arcose. He hadn't gotten to see his fight with Gekido, but from what he heard, Koldar left him in the hospital wing, though the stubborn brute still tried to break his way out of there. "Koldar, you and me? Your the strongest the Arcosian Empire has to offer I am the..." He paused as he looked at the digits of his hand, counting with his other as he done the maths trying to figure out where he stood with them. "I dunno, I think third last time I checked." He continued, taking a few steps forward looking down at him, his garnet lights flashing and twisting with excitement. If he beat him, then he indirectly beat up Gekido. Which, until he got out of the hospital wing would have to do for the time being.
Ais looked over at his comrade, Dantalion as he asked who they should spar with. Ais considered sparring with his Mazoku brother in arms for a moment. They never really got to finish their battle from before. Still, he brought up a good point; what better partner for an Arcosian than another Arcosian? Ais smirked and turned to Koldar, about to issue a challenge. However, Dantalion was quicker to the draw and made the challenge first. "Hogging the strong guy to yourself, huh? Well, okay. If you insist. Have fun you two." Ais didn't mind too much that his friend was going to get to spar with the Emperor. He had his sights set on someone else anyway. The Changeling lord gave Dantalion and Koldar a wave before turning and walking over to where Voca was helping Taiga and Soma adjust to the gravity. He turned his head to one side and watched their exercise with a confused expression.
He never did anything like that in his gravity training. It was... rather interesting. He wasn't here to watch the exercise, though. He was here for his sparring partner.
Ais pointed to Taiga. "I saw your battle with Xylo. Anyone who can earn his respect must be strong." A smirk found its way back to the Arcosian's blue lips. "Show me that strength. If you can." Ais issued his challenge to his red-skinned kin. "If you need more time to adjust, that's fine too." The second part seemed more like a jab to spur the other into action than a suggestion made out of concern for his well-being. Ais looked over at Soma after his challenge. He couldn't even stand and was making all sorts of inhuman noises as he sobbed. 'What a pitiful display.' Ais thought in disappointment. He expected more from someone in his position. Every day, he was more and more convinced that Xylo made the right call annexing their allies. Still, he was interested in seeing Soma in action. He didn't get the chance to earlier, and even though his expectations fell by the minute, he at least wanted to see the bug man's strength for curiosity's sake if nothing else.
Daria chuckled boldly as the words escaped Koldar's lips about how they all need to find a way to team up and pair off in fighting. While Dantalion and Ais were quick to try and find their own partners, a bold idea came through her own mind which could help serve the purposes of both training AND teamwork. "Tornado Tag Team," the thick accent rolled out throughout the room, as she recounted the amount of people in the chamber. Though to her disliking as there was one extra person left over, she found herself in the middle of a neat predicament which might actually prove a challenge to herself... Time to see if she was at least as skilled as she always was, despite the amount of time out of the ring.
"I propose this. Teams of three out of the six others here. Teamwork will be key for you all to fight with one another, to fight the others. Though, I had the idea of where I can become everyone's enemies all at once, as the seventh fighter after all," Chuckling more deeply, she couldn't help but shake her head as she continues, "But I feel forming small teams for good cooperative sparring would be the best call. But it's all your calls~"
Meanwhile over in the corner with Taiga, Soma, and Voca, they were all getting advice from the seasoned veteran about how to make the pressure of the Gravity Chamber more bearable. Soma was making exasperated breathing motions, which hurt him much more than assist, until he had calmed himself down a bit as he sort of got used to the pain. Though Soma didn't see what Voca was trying to do, his own genes started to work into overdrive as something within them clicked about how to move within such a heavy set gravity zone. Instincts roaring as he had his limbs shake and quiver their way to pushing up to his feet.
Struggling to maintain his composure, Somatotrope was actually able to keep himself up on his feet normally now despite stumbling every so often, not even using the exercises given to him. Rotating his own shoulders a bit, he could feel himself limbering up and actually getting a little used to the pressure, now that he was actually putting some effort into getting himself shape rather than groaning and griping about how it was too tough on him!
Following Voca's suggestions, Taiga straightens to his full height, breathing slowly. It was a chore to lift his arms, but doing so seemed to help. Thanks to his strength, the gravity seemed to get easier to deal with. Taiga cracks his neck, and starts twisting at his hips as he goes through a few basic stretches. It was suggested that teams be set up, and it wasn't long before one of the Mazoku soldiers, the Arcosian whose name Taiga didn't know.
"It would be a pleasure." Taiga replies, leaning back and causing his spine to audibly crack. "That's better..."
Taiga turns fully to his kinsman.
"I suppose you already know my name, but as we have not been formally introduced," Taiga says, offering a hand politely, "I am Taiga of the Lower Clans. And you would be...?" Sorry for the wait everyone, been sick.
"Actually, lads," Koldar replied to Dantallion's request to spar him directly, pointing to Daria, "The doctor has made a good point about teams! However, I wouldn't say 1 singular individual is left to sparring. My thought is we accommodate the teams by each individual's power level. Dan, Ais, and Taiga against myself, Soma, and Daria. Voca is here simply going to be mediator and call for when we should stop, as he'd taken some harder blows than I before. How does this sound?"
Voca looked over at Koldar, stretching the other side and stating, "Now that's just not fair, sir!"
"Voca, you had been woozie prior to coming in here. The least we can do is at least get you walk around and give ideas to Soma here," Koldar told him, pointing at the struggling bug reaching out to him, "He learns fast! He just needs to be shown how to fight more. Captain Soma, if you get yourself adjusted to this, you'll get my approval to enjoy some of the tastiest treats on Arcose!"
Koldar looked to Dantallion and Ais, informing them, "Soma's a growing lad and finds motivation in food."
Daria brought up a strange proposition, one had hadn't expected, nor was the terminology familiar. Tornado... Tag Team? He knew the latter but why a tornado? Was it something synonymous with something else? Mayhaps they were to fight in a literal tornado. Either way, an interesting proposal whether in a tornado or not. He looked between Taiga and Ais, then over to Soma, Koldar and Daria. He wondered if he had set them up to lose, or set it on an equal playing field. The Garnet lights swishing as he turned, a faint trail hovering behind as he sized up the duo. "Well. Guess it's you two and me then. As excited as I am?" He inquired, his baritone voice booming as he let loose laughter, trying to break down the tension that might have infiltrated between the group.
As he watched, Koldar seemed to coax with the proposition of food. Wonder if I win I will get their share.... He thought to himself, a hand coiling around his side as he slowly tore off his heavyweights. This was an all out fight, might as well take it seriously. His Ki flared, a dark pulsation of Demonic Energy protruding fourth, coiling around him in long sleek lines that almost danced along his skin, as electricity stricken and snapped around his feet. His garnet eyes flashed off for a second, the hollows of his eyes watching and turning as he focused in on himself, a hand pulled to his back as a single protruding thorn slowly rolled with sickening glee as it was released from its fleshy confines. "If we are to fight. Let me ask one single question." His very breath laced with a sickened fog, rolling out with a dark and foreboding feeling, tangents of electricity sparked and danced through the mist as it traversed the fog, illuminating ever so slightly the cold floor beneath, before dispersing in a single quick motion, his sword cracking the ground as he held it in a single hand, the haze hesitantly rolling back in and shifting around the blade.
His body broke from its bent form, his structure stiffening as he reached his full eight-foot height, the Cleaver dropped and indenting into the floor as he looked over the three who had now become his opponents. "Can you regenerate?" He inquired, a sickening pulse of life fluctuating his body as the Garnet lights returned, his jaw hanging unhinged as it seemed more akin to that of a smoke machine than a mouth as slowly more and more guttural cloud rolled down and brushed against the floor, swimming and stretching out as his tone became flat and monotoned. This was a fight, no longer time for pleasantries.Heavy Weights Discarded, PL back to base of 87935
Ais raised his brow, giving Taiga a smile. "Well, those are some fine manners." The Changeling scoffed in amusement and reached a hand out to take the hand of his kin, giving him a firm handshake. "I am Ais of the Planet Kabocha, son of the late and great King Kuul and head of his clan. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Taiga." It appeared they wouldn't get to fight, however. In fact, they would be on the same team. Ais thought that was interesting. They could fight on the same side, learn each other's movements, and then they could spar at a later date.
"Very well. I find this agreeable." the Arcosian lord cracked his knuckles in excitement. He'd get to face off against Soma at least. He wanted to see this "captain's" power. If he couldn't face off against Taiga, the bug man would do. He looked over at Dantalion, stifling a chuckle when the demon repeated what he asked Ais himself when they sparred for the first time, drawing that massive cleaver from his back. Ais figured it was now time to show off his new techniques. The Changeling remembered how left out he felt when Xylo, Dantalion, and his bodyguard, Cello, drew their blades in their spar.
Ais didn't have much use for such weapons, however. They didn't fit his personality. He found something that did, though. Ais got in position with his team and got in his stance. His legs were spread slightly, his center of gravity lowered. His right hand was kept an open palm, the fingers straight out as he raised it to be even with his face. His left hand was slightly lower and more forward than the other. Ais smirked, light blue ki enveloping his left hand, forming a vague blade shape. The Changeling would then look at Soma, narrowing his eyes. He was ready for combat, and the look he was giving Soma was clear; the Captain was being challenged.
"Yeah, that's the spirit... Though you might regret choosing me over Voca," Daria said with a smirk, as she rolled her neck around, looking Dantalion up and down. She was actually itching for a fight for a while, as she hadn't had a proper fight in a while, but was more than willing to sate her own hunger for it in exchange for other's increased growth. But if Koldar insisted, then a woman of the entertainments must not disappoint her wanting crowd.
Soma, on the other hand, was only slowly starting to pick up his speed, waddling his way back over to the main group as he had been overhearing their entire conversation. A team fight was a good idea, but he could easily feel eyes already on him, coming from the friend of Tomoka by the name of Ais. The gaze was wanting of a fight, eyes asking Soma if he could have this violent dance with him. Soma didn't feel like actually sparring, as he was wanting to do some of the basic training if possible. Maybe he could tag out with Voca, and make things even more even?
Then came the words of Koldar, promising food in exchange for the spar. Biting down in his own maw, he became a little determined to at least try this spar out. I mean, if he could get some food for winning, then it would be worth it in the end. But Dantalion started sucking the atmosphere out of the air, as he let his own form readjust, the very odd scented aura which filled this demon starting to exponentially expand. His body quivered even more fiercely not from the pressure of the room, but the pressure this monstrosity imbued. But he kept himself steady due to who spoke up, his stance rather relaxed instead of ready for combat, due to him just wanting to get used to such pressures.
"Big Red, these numbers say you're my equal," The Doctor grinned as she rolled her head around, making sure she stood beside Koldar and Soma at this point, while looking up at Dan, "Seems like I actually can have fun for once. Though I may not be able to regenerate, I have survived being chopped in half before." In order to accentuate that point, she lowered her pants just a little, showing that right above her waistline was a distinct scar marking that went all around her body. A little accident that happened during her years of living, all reversed with her special brew. Thank Goodness for Science!
"Voca," Daria stated with a smirk, "You'll be the one who starts the spar."
The Arcosian showed Taiga due respect, to which Taiga pegs towards the credit of the Mazoku Dominion's military. Personally, he had not heard much of this King Kuul, but it comes as no real surprise; Arcosians that governed worlds on behalf of the Empire often held such lofty titles. Dantillion, on the other hand, drew a skeptical leer from Taiga.
"While I agree to the idea to form teams, don't think you can go ahead and fight destructively." Taiga directs towards the Demon. The blade didn't intimidate Taiga, so much as make him wary of unnecessary force in what is supposed to be a simple training exercise. He looks over at Koldar and smiles. "At any rate, I think I will enjoy this opportunity, though I have a suggestion; we should limit ourselves. No transformations, no powering up, and no destructive techniques. This is a gravity chamber, and I would like to avoid damaging it." Koldar Frost
"Excellent," Koldar spoke up, a grin upon face and fists to his hips. Dantallion had a question, but didn't ask it before he pulled out a blade from some sort of portal, which caused the Commander to raise his eyebrows, eyes becoming agape and his grin becoming a frown.
"I can fairly say I've not seen that before... But, yes, what Taiga's said is most appropriate. You're in a place that's been here for hundreds of years and I'd hate for this place to be ruined."
Daria requested Voca start them off, the Heran groaning disappointed that he could spar. He remained seated, his legs crossed and raised an arm up.
"Ready your stances," Voca called out. He'd wait a few seconds, Koldar simply shifting his stance with his right foot to the back and the left forward and both hands up front, like a boxer! His eyes looked at three on the enemy team, divvying up who he could fight easily with in his current state. Voca pointed to them all, shouting, "You fight to only KO your opponents! Broken parts can be mended... BEGIN!"
Koldar didn't shift from his position. He wanted to see who'd charge at them. He also aimed to observe Soma and his progress thus far by doing this, too! Last he and the bug had their training session, the bug was avoiding the fighting altogether and diving into the asteroid. Hopefully, he'd not do the same here, too!
(Dantalion, Taiga, Somatotrope, Ais, for the sake of keeping this moving, do you want to do DE turn speed? 2 days for the person to post. We've got 5 people in here, after all. If not, we can take it slow, since we're focusing on the actual DE elsewhere.)
Well, it seemed he was put at a frightful disadvantage. Daria was incapable of regeneration, at least, a comfortable level of the stuff, and Taiga and Koldar seemed rather insistent on no Destructive Techniques. Shit. Well, there goes Nuclear Bazooka. And Rending... His only two offensive moves in his arsenal. He was far more preoccupied with learning how to dodge and change shape than how to actually fight. To top it off no Power-Ups either. Tearing his plans and chances asunder in a few well-spoken words. "Okay, I understand. No permanent damage got it." He pulled up his sword, precariously balancing it on a finger before tossing it into the ceiling, the blade making its mark as it dug deep into the roof. "I ain't including that though." He replied as he rubbed the back of his skull, trying to figure out how to approach the situation.
It was already decided, Daria's insistence made it clear that they were to spar together, he looked the red creature up and down his Garnet eyes shifting a little as he shifted and moulded his stance, he had used the sword so few times he should have gotten used to hand-to-hand combat by now but old habits die hard and this was the hardest one of all. His body hunched down a little, his legs spread apart as he drew an arm up, hovering in the air with a closed hand, while his other hand remained palm open, ready to push them back as soon as they charged.
Daria brought up an interesting point. Our numbers are equal. A smile twisted his jaw, hips lips curled up as finally in oh so long he could get an update on himself. "Perfect, you can read Power Levels. Mind telling me what mine is? Last time I checked it out I was only in the Fifty Thousand range." He responded with a chuckle as he took the first step, a heavy-handed bang as he thundered his way forward, bringing up the guise of an all brunt no speed beast who had little in the way of skill. As Daria continued he shook his head in response, "No, no, no. I only use the sword on those who can either Regenerate fast or those who I plan on killing. And as these buzzkills stated." He cocked a thumb between the two of them, his garnet lights rolling to emphasise the point, "No destructive force allowed. And all Knockouts." He chuckled in response, this was all part of the plan. Seem like a monster, a helping of Sarcasm lacing his words as he made light of the situation with the good doctor.
Then with all the speed of a limping Gazelle and just as much grace, Dantalion burst into a charge his palm extended as Voca declared the match to begin, no point in pussyfooting around the fight. If Voca wanted a fight than by love she was going to get the best Dantalion could offer. As he sprinted a few feet before coming into impact a single foot dug into the floor, pulling it up and kicking debris into their face before continuing his charge and if it all worked out, coiling an open palm around their face and pressing them into the ground with all the force he could muster in a brutal display. He might have been acting the part of bebenevolencebut that didn't mean his chaotic angry nature didn't seep into his fighting style.
Ais stayed in his stance, listening to the terms of the duel. He'd have to go for a knockout, since he obviously couldn't kill his opponents. No transformations or power ups either. That was fine by him, he didn't plan to fight seriously anyway. He could grow in power easier in his suppressed form. The drain of his final form made that a little difficult. No destructive techniques either. That term also didn't bother him. His most destructive move was his Execution Shot, but worst case scenario, it would put a tiny hole in the chamber. Still, he wouldn't use those moves if he could help it. It wouldn't do them any good to damage an asset as valuable as a gravity chamber.
Once the terms were set, the battle began.
The Changeling smirked at Soma. "Mr. Somatotrope! Show me the power of the Soma Squad!" With that, Ais lunged at his chosen opponent. He kept an eye on Koldar. He wasn't moving, which led Ais to believe that he was waiting for someone to come at him. He'd have to be aware of the Commander's position just in case he decided to fight the Arcosian lord. As for Soma, Ais would make a large sideways sweep with his ki-cloaked hand, a trail of light blue where his hand passed. He would aim at Soma's front, specifically his abdomen. Should the attack meet its mark, the bio android would notice that the energy cloaking Ais's hand acted as an incredibly sharp blade. Ais was eager to show off his new moves. He spent quite a bit of time perfecting his ki blade trick.
A part of Daria was very disappointed that Dantalion wasn't using his giant cleaver-like sword. She always craved a challenge wherever she went, so seeing such a veritable challenge downgrade a couple notches was disappointing to the Barbaric Scientist, but not something she couldn't live with. And it seemed the demon himself was actually interested in this talk of how people compared to one another, and even asked if he could get an update on his own strength. With a smirk, she had to say proudly, "No problem. In fact, I will tell everyone's power levels, including mine own since mine hasn't changed in the past decade..."
Letting her green scouter glasses do all the work, she focused on the numbers on each person, reciting each person's power in turn. "My own power level, One Hundred Thousand."
"Dantalion's power level, Eighty Seven thousand Nine-hundred Thirty Five."
"Koldar's current power level, Thirty Nine thousand Eight hundred Fifty Eight and a half."
"Voca's current power output, Fifty Nine thousand Seven hundred Eighty Nine and a quarter."
"Ais's current power strength, Five thousand Nine hundred Seventy Two and a quarter."
"Twenty Nine thousand and Sixty is Taiga's own Battle Power Output."
"And finally Somatotrope's current power level is Thirteen thousand Two hundred Forty Nine."
Taking a pause to let that all sink in, she just had to add on, "These current strengths are what is being outputted right now, which does not mean that this is what they are all capable of. For example, Somatotrope's true power output is Fifty Two thousand Nine-hundred Ninety Seven, and even then I'm working on some concoctions that can pull forth his true strength."
Meanwhile Soma turned his head towards Daria's general direction, while nodding to confirm what she said was as true as it could be. She hypothesized that there was a latent power within him, but he couldn't pull it out on his own just yet. He needed assistance, according to Daria, and that he needed some enhancement drugs to tear down the walls of his limitations.
It wasn't too long before the sparring actually had begun, with only enough time for Daria to strip off her lab coat along with her glasses, tossing them across the chamber. Dantalion immediately started everyone off by kicking up debris from the ground, spreading it towards Team Soma. While Soma was perfectly fine with closing his eyes and fighting because of everyone's distinctive Ki Scents, Daria flinched as some of the crap hit her eyes. Half-blinded, Daria crouched inward toward Dantalion. Though she was a many heads shorter than the demon, she still hit like a truck, and was wanting to prove that point with a lariat to his midsection. Not a lariat to fancy, but it would serve to build up her stronger lariats.
Meanwhile Ais had begun his assault on the giant insectoid who was still acclimating to the pressure, as the Ice-jin wanted to see the power of the Soma Squad. Technically the only Soma Squad there was right now was JUST himself, but he needed to prove his own powers. Watching him approach in what seemed to be in slow motion, Soma was able to raise his arm in time for him to catch the slicing motion of the hand, a light scratch visible on the carapace armor piece on Somatotrope's arm. It took him everything just to catch the attack in time, so Soma had to fight and calculate his movements in accordance with his sluggish body.
A rather fun idea he had came across his mind in order to abuse the weighted environment, as Soma hoisted himself into the air with a mighty leap, while angling his body in mid air to aim his backside downward on top of Ais. With a single ki blast aimed directly towards the ceiling, Soma changed his own trajectory in order to slam his entire body's weight onto Ais, force amplified due to the weighted environment. Hopefully he didn't crush the Ice-jin like a bug.
The instant Somatotrope sprung to action, so too did Taiga. Moving as fast as he can, with is to say a fair speed considering the terrible pressing of the enhanced gravity, Taiga would place himself between Somatotrope and Ais, spinning his body rapidly, bringing his tail down at Soma's head. Sorry for the mini post, I didn't have anything further to say, so Taiga's just going into action.
