A hunched figure wandered the streets of West Capitol, cloaked in a heavy black hooded robe despite the heat of the day. Jormungandr, the proud serpentine demoness who had tortured and slaughtered countless innocents in her lifetime before changing her ways, had fallen very low indeed. When she came to earth, she had intended to terrorize the land without fear. Then, she had met Capper, and begun to rethink her plans. Since then, her pride had slowly diminished as she realized just how weak she truly was when compared to those who decided the fate of the world. There were many on Earth who could crush her without breaking a sweat - and those were far from the strongest individuals she might encounter. Now, she had suffered a terrible tragedy, in her eyes. Capper had seen her backslide. She had slipped back into old habits and killed innocent civilians... and Capper had seen it. He saved one of them when he threw himself in front of her ki blast... and when that bolt hit him, Jormungandr's facade of strength, already cracked at times, had shattered. And now she was, in all likelihood, a wanted woman. She didn't care much, but she didn't want to be interrupted, so she donned the robe for convenience, pulling up the hood to hide her face. She had no real goal at the moment, so she trudged aimlessly along, hardly even seeing her surroundings. She hadn't eaten, or slept, since the incident, and she stumbled more and more with each passing minute. She would pass out soon if she didn't do something to keep herself awake... Shaking her head, Jormungandr staggered through the door of a cafe, nearly tearing the door off its hinges, and stomped over to the counter. "Give me the strongest damn coffee you have." she hissed, vaguely aware she should be trying not to draw attention. The woman manning the counter stared at her for a moment, then nodded, unsettled. As the employee prepared her drink, the fiend flopped into a chair, producing an audible crack as one of the legs nearly snapped. She tapped into her demonic heritage and flared her ki, attaining a state of relative lucidity. Anyone with a scouter or ki sensing would easily notice her, but at that moment, she didn't give a damn. She just kept reliving the moment in which she saw her attack hit Capper, over, and over, and over again.

"I don't know about you but I don't think walkin' sneks are a common occurrence."A blonde young adult whispered to the barista handling the demon's beverage. Backs turned to the deprived demon, one idled with counter materials as the other nervously poured a rather black blend. Soon finding himself twirling a stirring spoon between his fingers, the blonde employee took a swift spin. Rotating atop the ball of his foot, he approached the demon without a mere thought about it. Bearing a thin notepad within his right palm, an inquiry was proposed; a standard business practice. "Would there be anything else you'd like with your order?"Partially slicked-back locks would sit alongside scarlet hues. Staring with a thin grin upon his facial features, Eliott Britches just did part of his part-time job. Fascinating. Meanwhile, however, a hybrid was facing a rather odd predicament. A bearded individual was leaping across one of the major streets of the Capitol, clutching a hoard of capsules. A hybrid, however, was giving fervent chase; all of those capsules were his! A periodic shout would acquire his attention, however it would end all the same. "Taveon I swear to Kami --" "If you're swearin' to a deity you might as well pray that you'll ever get these back!""Dammit Taveon!"With each bound, both of them left a minuscule dent in the pavement. Oddly enough, they've barely gone in any random direction. The pair were approaching the location of Jormungandr and Eliott. One would be fortunate enough to avoid even more moronic conflict at this rate. Unfortunately, its likely to be one of those days, isn't it?
Bit of a quicker one for you, JormungandrThread PL: 359,382! Eliott and Taveon will have no (noted) PLs for now.

Kira walked aimlessly down the paved roads of the Western Capital. His hands shoved deep into his pockets in one of his rare moments of uneasiness he felt when in a new area. He stopped for just a moment, and pondered just how he had found himself in this situation. First there was the woman who needed help catching a goat that wandered off towards the Northern Mountains... Then something happened when the he found the goat had wandered into someone else's territory, offered to pay for the damage, ended up in some odd market with the Goat... and now he was here after waking up in an old alley. At this point, he only had two thoughts: getting back to the North and finding some place to satisfy the magnitude 7 Earthquake making terrible sounds in his stomach. He walked a short ways more, aimlessly looking at the clouds and avoiding bumping into passing strangers. Eventually, he found himself looking into the windows of a small café that really didn't seem to have that much business. An exasperated and mildly attractive woman manning the counter worked tirelessly to prepare the cafe's special Extra Strength Espresso that honestly looked more like tar than a liquid providing any kind of sustenance to the human body . After a short moment of contemplation Kira opened the door, chiming a small bell above him and surveyed the scene. Someone of Saiyan persuasion sat next to someone who clearly didn't look like they enjoyed their existence today. Definitely not human... eh. Didn't really matter. Kira sat down at one of the stools at the counter and put a couple zeni on the counter, letting the Barista know he'd wait patiently for her to finish the pleasant labor of making coffee before having to attend to him. He sighed, twirling a small black stick around his finger and thought to himself.
Ah well. I guess there's worse ways to spend a sunny afternoon.
After a moments contemplation he rested his head on one of his hands, elbow propping his head up and allowing himself a moment to close his eyes. Briefly before that though, they had wandered towards the small display case of pastries prominently displaying several items that didn't have look quite from Earth but still delicious nonetheless. Perhaps he'd send one to the woman trying not to be noticed.
Heck.. She could probably use it.

Jormungandr stared blankly at the man beside her for a moment before managing to process what he had said. "wha? oh... uh, yeah, now that I think about it... food. food would be good... meat..." she said tiredly. "I'll take some meat. don't care what kind." She turned away from him and stared at the table in front of her instead, returning to her musings for a moment until she sensed a powerful ki out in the street, rapidly approaching the cafe. she turned towards the door just as another customer entered, but they weren't the one she'd felt. They felt weak. Her eyes half-closed, the serpent tilted her head and watched the door. "...Wonder who that is out there..." she murmured, then shook her head. It didn't matter. She glanced back at the counter. "Could ya hurry it up? feel like I'm 'bout to fall asleep... can't sleep..." she called, her voice fading to a quiet grumbling for the last two words. The human had been right - Jormungandr most definitely didn't enjoy her existence right now. She blinked slowly, her vision darkening, just as she noticed her coffee being set on the counter. She stood, absently tossing her chair into the wall, producing a loud smash. She glanced at the wreckage of the chair, then muttered, "meant to just push it back..." Carrying on as if nothing had happened, she walked over to the counter, snatched up her coffee, and downed it all in one gulp, dimly aware of an unpleasant burning sensation in her throat as she regained some measure of control over her mental faculties. "Right then.... now I just need food and I'll be good for a day two." she said half to herself.

Kira was offset by the odd woman's composure. She seemed rude, demanding, but broken. What had happened to cause the change in personality? Sure she wasn't like this before; it didn't fit. What had she been through in her life to get to this point? Kira smiled as the now-timid barista stood in front of him, worried he'd give her the same treatment. He slid a few zeni to her and said "Breathe. I'd like hot water with lemon, and the biggest cookie you have from that case over there." He said, gesturing casually to the display case of pastries. The girl smiled nervously and nodded, mumbling something to the affirmative.
Kira almost fell out of his chair as he turned and saw smashed wood all over the floor where the nicest of chairs had been obliterated. He turned back and saw the shop girl cowering behind a pewter platter. His newly order cookie, smashed on the floor.
He turned back, walked over to the wall and pried small pieces of wood out of the wall before collecting the remnants from the floor. He smiled and obliterated them with his Ki, his hands becoming something like an orb of fire. Then he turned towards the one who had commit this atrocity of chair-murder.
"Was that truly necessary?"

[Thread PL: 37,589] [Ki Suppression on, PL: 50]
A cafe was one of the last places you would expect a Saiyan to be. Perhaps it was because Saiyans by nature were incredibly energetic and alert from morning to sundown. That is to say, if Saiyans didn't require some amount of sleep. Coffee was an Earth-made beverage that assisted a majority of the population with staying awake and having the drive to complete mundane tasks. However, that wasn't going to stop Kale from trying the drink for the first time.
Today was the day that Kale decided to visit one of the more popular cafes of West Capitol. It wasn't that he needed the nutrients and caffeine that coffee provided, the Saiyan just wanted to taste it and see how it was! The added benefit of pastries helped fuel his incentive. Kale's dark teal gi rippled while he flew just below the clouds. By now, he was within West Capitol's city limits. This wasn't his first visit to the metropolis, and it certainly wouldn't be his last. After a quick descent to the world below, Kale landed gently on the pavement of the sidewalk outside of the cafe.
The Saiyan peered into a window of the establishment to get a good look at what things were like on the inside. The place wasn't too crowded, which was just swell for Kale. Not that a large crowd would have mattered. Since Kale's arrival on Earth, he grew more and more confident being in public as a Saiyan. And why wouldn't he? Almost everyone he met didn't act prejudice toward him for his heritage. One of his biggest fears was that the life on the planet would be incredibly antisocial or hateful because of the invasion that happened a few years ago. That fear was now but a faded memory.
The little bell chimed cutely once Kale pushed the glass door open with his right hand. Some of the patrons turned their heads thanks to curious minds. A few even recognized Kale! Some mumbled to themselves, noting how he was one of the heroes that stopped a bank heist in Satan City. But Kale paid this no mind. He was just eager to get a taste of the popular caffeinated drink. Before Kale could take another step, he noticed two persons of interest. A cloaked figure at the counter and a man that had just disintegrated some wood Did Kale come in at a bad time?
Kale's eyes shifted between the man and the cloaked individual. The Saiyan had to pick his words carefully and assess the situation. Firing off a ki blast in an enclosed building, where people were enjoying their drinks, was not a very smart thing to do. Someone could have gotten hurt! Kale stepped into the cafe while the door closed behind him, once again ringing the bell. "I could ask the same thing," Kale responded to Kira's query, "firing off a ki blast like that can be dangerous indoors. Is everything alright?"

Jormungandr stared blankly at Kira for a moment before figuring out what he meant. "Didn't mean to... " she asserted, frowning. She didn't usually make mistakes like that; She generally had a lot more control. But her current state was anything but "the usual", and it was inevitable that the serpent would make mistakes. She didn't comprehend this, of course. She was too busy trying to think through the haze on her mind to wonder why that haze was there. The fiend peered at the newcomer as they questioned Kira. "...you don't seem all that strong..." she muttered, confused. He was much stronger than a normal person, but still incredibly weak by the standards of fighters. He was at least stronger than Capper, but she'd yet to meet a ki user that wasn't, and the fact that the gap between them wasn't all that large made her suspicious. He must be stronger than he's letting on, she thought. After all, Jormungandr could lower her ki, and so could Collan. She wasn't about to believe that ability was unique. Her train of thought was abruptly derailed when she noticed one of the employees setting a sandwich packed with meat on her table. She snatched it up and tore into it, devouring the meal in two bites. She would have to leave soon. She was beginning to think she might have attracted too much attention, and she didn't care much about whatever was going on with these people anyway.

As more strange individuals came onto the premises, Eliott began to absentmindedly scratch at his hair. Weird customers today. Tearing himself away from the sudden strangers customers, the Human noted down 'FOOD' on his notepad. Truly, the most reasonable of orders. Between the vaguely demon-looking thinger and the relatively Saiyan-esqe something, Eliott wasn't sure he'd have enough inventory to count later today. Yet, with a brief shrug, he couldn't be bothered anymore. Swiveling upon his heel, the employee took a brisk stride back to the counter, slamming his notepad onto the counter-top. Another slam soon invaded his ears.
"Huh."
Bits of a chair found themselves residing on the floor.
"Weird."
As Jormungandr muttered to herself, another customer questioning as to why the chair-murder was necessary, Eliott once again shrugged. Meanwhile, a hybrid was mere moments away from potentially procuring his capsules once again. The pair of Celmaru and Taveon Waterfield leaped persistently through the major street. Taveon, spun at one leap, infuriating the hybrid.
"Do you think this is funny?!"
"Hell yeah, man!"
"This isn't the behavior of a hundred year old!"
"I've learned not to give at shit at my age, dumbass! Clearly you haven't heard of it!"
With an extra impulse, the hybrid soon found himself within arm's reach of the ancestor's chuckling frame. Yet, any attempt was for naught. As Celmaru fervently made a reach for the bundle of capsules, a wide, spinning knee struck his head.
"Too open, kid!"
And with that, the hybrid plummeted to Earth. Fortunately, the distance from their position and the ground wasn't too sizeable; yet it still would cause fair injury if hit hard enough. Unfortunately for the hybrid and his day, a cafe was in the way. Rocketing through glass and tile, Celmaru's relatively conscious pseudo-corpse flopped and rolled until it reached the counter. Glass was strewn all around. The hybrid felt lie he just received a concussion; wasn't too sure at the moment.
"...Well shit."
Celmaru's here.
Thanks for waiting.
...I have no idea whose next.

Kira turned sighed as the glow emitting from his hands faded and he shook off the dust that had collected around them after eliminating the chair's waste. He heard the bell above the café. Another individual, far surperior in strength, entered. He approached Kira and questioned his use of ki simple convenience. Kira shrugged and stated, matter o' factlly, "didn't hurt anyone, and it saved me a few steps of walking."
He walked over to Jor in the process of completely obliterating the sandwich set in front of her. Getting a closer look at the purple woman's face, Kira still had no idea what she was. It puzzled him but she was remarkably strong. His ego diminished ever so slightly as he realized even the barista sporting a flowery apron was probably even stronger than him. He sighed and then the next demoralizing comment came, "you don't seem all that strong..." and then the pride left Kira completely. He slumped and thought wow what a great day. He pulled up a chair and sat in it backwards, facing Jor and crossed his arms. "So what's your story? Why spend such a nice day inside a café with that look on your face?"
Kira eagerly awaited a response before the wall next to him exploded and knocked him out of his probably 15 zen night throne. He hit the floor hard and immediately stood in retaliation to... gravity. He looked at the pair squabbling in the dust and rubble just recently created. He shook the dirt off his arms And patted down his pants to do the same. Looking at just what had happened he only had one more question. So to sum up, met a strange purple lady, got lost in the western capital because of a goat, chairs have been murdered and now the wall exploded? He turned to see the two behind the counter were okay and let out a gasp of exasperation. Under his breathe he muttered "...what else is going to make today more interesting?"

((Sorry, I've been pretty busy.))
Kale didn't very much appreciate Kira's attitude about the matter. His comments didn't help. "That's just lazy," Kale said with a bit of annoyance in his voice. "Just be more careful. It doesn't matter if you didn't hurt anyone." The Saiyan folded his arms across his chest to emphasize where he was coming from. "The fact remains that you could have hurt someone. Not a lot of people understand ki manipulation. All people are here for is to relax and have a little peace to themselves. Being frightened is not what they want to look forward to."
Kale sighed softly to himself. Something in his mind told him that Kira wasn't going to care about what he had to say. But, he wouldn't let a trivial matter like that bother him. He was here to enjoy himself, after all. Dismissing the minor incident, for now, Kale approached the counter and sat in the empty seat next to Jormungandr with a soft smile creasing his lips. If a server were to approach, he would look to them and order his food. "Coffee please, with sugar and cream. And I'd like one of those chocolate muffins as well, please and thank you!"
The Saiyan looked over to the snake demoness. "You do look a little down," Kale mentioned in addition to Kira's words. "Is everything okay?" He was the sort to be empathetic towards others. Taking a closer look, he realized that the woman appeared to be a familiar person. "Hey, I think I know you." Kale grew more concerned than he was before. Was Jormungandr experiencing some troubles?
An unexpected turn of events came to pass the moment that Celmaru crashed through one of the glass windows. Shards of glass were now strewn about the previously peaceful establishment. Kale shot up out of his seat like a bullet before springing toward Celmaru to help him stand up. "Hey! What happened? Who did this to you?"
