The streets, the place Orzo was most familiar with. He had been walking around for a while now, not really up to anything. The bounty hunter hadn't gotten any jobs recently, which sadly just delayed the debt he owned. Just thinking about his boss made the Zoan shiver. He never thought about it too much really, though in the recent days he wondered if there was some timer he didn't know about.
What if he didn't get that debt paid off any time soon? What if the boss just didn't care about the debt at all and wanted it to be in the equation just to have a reason for Orzo to work for him? That didn't matter, what mattered right now was finding something to actually do. Because while he didn't know too much about the his boss, he did know he hated people who lazed around.
He should at least try to find some sort of person to beat down...while having a reason to of course.

A soft tone, not unlike that of a wind chime echoed through the street that the dog Zoan had been restlessly waiting in. It was strange, and certainly out of place. Yet, at the same time: not all that unpleasant; for a sweetness seemed to linger with the ripple of sound. After it passed however, things would seem eerily quiet. It's absence made way for a chilling emptiness that crept in and practically surrounded the boy. It seemed to mirror the present situation though. For some reason, the street was as barren and silent as the air around him.
Everyone seemed to have gone about their business elsewhere...
...Save for one hooded figure, sitting on a nearby stoop with a heavy black cloak draped over it's form.
It seemed simple and harmless enough, just sitting there and trying to keep out of sight. It was probably a beggar of some sort trying to avoid the scorn of the average passerby. Though the figure ended up breaking the silence with a noisy wet crunch as it brought an apple up to it's mouth and took a generous bite. As it brought it's hand down however: the distinct glint of something gold would surely be seen even from Orzo's distance.
Perhaps it wasn't your ordinary beggar?

Majin Makaz had floated in the area, dropping his hood as he began to notice the powerlevel, he could feel it from inside. Like a small tingling system, Makaz floated in place as he watched others in the area. He had landed as he began to walk towards it, whatever was that power it had been EXTREMELY weird. Jesus christ, that power's been incredibly small for some reason..
Makaz had began to stop, he had finally found the power itself. Some sort of Zoanthrope nearby, clearly he hadn't seem the hooded person. Makaz sighed as he'd walk towards the person, silently waiting to see if they'd notice him.

As he continued on, Orzo suddenly came to a stop as he had heard something. It was indeed soothing, but his eyes shrank as he tried to hide the shock of him not really seeing any sort of radio or instrument that could be making these sounds. Chuckling to himself, he continued on as he attempted to ignore this music until it suddenly disappeared as quickly as it came.
Was this someone from his group playing a trick of sorts? Trying to make him feel fear? No matter, he didn't really have anytime for it...that's when he noticed someone walking past him to approach someone dressed in black. First music with no source, then someone dressed in black? Orzo smelled something...it was interest.
So deciding to join Makaz, he headed to this mystery person, but not directly. He decided to hind behind a wall and wonder what these two would get up to before he confronted them.

The cloaked figure merely took another bite of it's apple as it seemingly ignored the majin as he looked over it's form. After one or two chews the figure would gulp down the fruity mush before letting out a soft contented sigh. They then tossed the apple in the air, revealing that metallic flash for another moment before it caught it in a seemingly bored manner. It was only until then that they finally decided to acknowledge the majin.
"..."
The figure looked up, revealing it's burning eye that looked more like a pool of molten gold and a furrowed brow. A soft frown creased the distinctly feminine lips of the the 'beggar' as she kept her intense gaze narrowed on Makaz.
"...I'm not here for you."
Her voice was sharp, decisive, and stern all in one. She turned her gaze back to Orzo's direction, watching for the hidden zoanthrope to see what he'd do with genuine curiosity. She brought her apple back to her mouth while fully revealing her clawed hand and the layers upon layers of golden scales that covered it. Without missing a beat, she'd take a bite from her apple and chew on it without saying anything further as if she were pretending the majin was not there.

As the Zoan continued to watch to see how things played out, until mystery man had told the random bubble gum man away. The voice sounded more feminine than he thought it would, and was more shocked by the fact he just realized they were looking right at him. In response to this Orzo just chuckled and walked around the corner to face the one in black. "Can't hide forever I guess...it's seems I've underestimated your eye sight. Now, if it's my cash you want, I assure you I have nothing." Reaching into his two pants pockets, he turned them inside out to show he didn't have anything on him. "Unless you're here to kill me, if so I'd be very grateful."When Orzo first got in debt, death always did seem like the better option. But this once, he was just joking around. If they decided to make a move and actually attack, he could always break their face.

The figure stood in an easy manner as the Zoanthrope introduced himself. She didn't want to alert him, he was clearly on edge despite the lax facade he displayed. "You expect the worst in people... Though given the weight that rests upon your aura I can hardly blame you." The woman began as she took a step toward the boy. As she drew closer he'd feel the demoness' gaze looking through him from behind that hood. Her glowing eyes narrowed ever so slightly as if she were looking through his very being.
"...You've done things. Haven't you? Things you regret."
She simply asked, or...Was it a statement derived from her observation? Regardless of the source, the figure would remove her hood revealing her golden scaled ears and headfins, her spiky ruby mohawk, and the soft beauty of her feminine features. The demoness looked to the Zoan with a bit of pity.
"Unlike most of the world. I refuse to think you are a bad person."

As the Zoan stood around, this what he assumed to be woman talking to him, he couldn't help be notice something as she stared at him. He felt somewhat intimidated by her, the only other person to make Orzo feel like this was his boss. So to say the least, he wasn't too happy to be here right now.
Some of that went away though, as he realized what she was talking about. Her appearance though didn't change his outlook on her, it was just adding on to the strangeness of the situation. Orzo...suddenly wasn't taking this too seriously. "Jeez, is this some sort of secret filming for a movie I don't know about? Because it sounds like you're going to send me on some journey."
A grin came up the dog's face. "What? Want me to climb some mountain and find my inner self or something?" It was obvious this woman hadn't convinced her she was being serious. Though Orzo did make sure not to make some mistake like laugh at her, as he didn't like the look she gave her earlier.
In fact, that look alone did make sure...he wanted to not do something like insult her, so hopefully sarcasm would get him out of here.

"You're close, I expect you to climb a tower. In the Fukurou Forest to be exact." She said in a matter of fact manner as she ran a clawed hand through her spiky mohawk. "Only a few have done so successfully but...You seem strong enough" She paused, taking a moment to feel his power level. "...More or less." She smirked, not even a hint of sarcasm slipping into her tone.
"I don't often seek out potential students personally. Though, your aura caught my eye. You seem like the sort who could use a guiding hand." She explained, holding out one of her many hands to him in a friendly manner. "You can be at ease. I mean you no harm after all. I am the guardian of this planet, the 'Kami' if you'd prefer." She cracked a grin as she looked down to Orzo.
"You can call me Maeve if you'd like though." The dragoness formally introduced herself as she used two of her arms to slick her cloak back revealing all six of her arms covered in glittering scales of gold. If there were any doubts that there was something special about the girl there would be little more. The way she carried herself made it obvious she truly believed the words she spoke; Or , at the very least, she was a very good actress.
"What might your name be?"

Just like that, the Zoan lost his grin when he heard the woman's answer. She was actually being serious? My lord, is she insane or something? Orzo thought to himself, watching as the mohawked girl threw what seemed a bit like an insult at him. Though he couldn't care less about that.
Especially with what came next, the fact that she had called herself guardian of this planet. While it was shocking that someone would outright just say that, it was more shocking to see this person had six god damn arms!
They didn't seem too needed. In fact it just seemed like over kill on the 'strange meter'. Though thankfully the apparent 'Kami' brought thinks a little back down to Earth by asking a very simple question. "Well...if you really want to know, my name is Orzo C. Allen. Though if you are the guardian of Earth, I'd think you should know the names of those you watch over."
Orzo then looked down, thinking for a second before looking right at Maeve again. "Now, I think it's about to I ask my own questions...such as out of all the people on Earth, why me exactly? You say I need a guiding hand, and my apparent aura interest you. But believe me, if you really are the guardian, then there are people stronger than me who need you're help. Besides, being the sane person I am, it's not like I'm just going to immediately take your offer."

"I can see hesitance, twinged by sorrow and fear." Maeve plainly responded as she looked down to the pup as he grumbled about the valid questioning as to why she would choose him of all people. "You aren't happy with your life. You need my help." She continued, making observations about his psyche that she felt were plain as day. "Do not misunderstand however, I did not seek you out of pity" She clarified as she bridged the gap between them with a step.
The demoness took a good long look at the dog with her soft frown before continuing. "You however, also show the potential to do something great.. That potential is something I wish to foster and grow. So one day, you can be proud of who you are and live your life standing tall." As she spoke, her soft frown turned into a grin.
"If you will let me, Orzo, I will be happy to provide the guidance you need." Maeve nodded her head once, offering one of her many hands out to him in greeting. "I forgot to mention it, but you may call me Maeve." She concluded, dropping her mystic airs for a moment to display her overwhelming warmth with a single giggle.

"Hmmmm..." The dog just for a while...thinking long and hard about what he'd say next from everything he was told. It took a while, but Orzo finally came to a conclusion, looking right at Maeve and simply nodding. "Alright...I'm curious to see how this goes." He held his hand out, hoping to get a hand shake from her.
Whether or not she accepted this shake, he'd continue on. "You tell me where this tower is, and I'll get there ASAP."

"When you are ready, my friend, come seek my tower out in the heart of Fukurou Forest. There you must test your resolve as you ascend it into the clouds. Once you reach the top I will be waiting." Maeve instructed as she lightly clasped her hand into his and shook it with a gentleness that betrayed her mighty visage. After the shake was made, the dmeoness bowed her head in a formal manner and took a step back.
"I eagerly await to see...The path that you will walk."
With that, she'd fade away, leaving nothing but the soft chime of a bell and ripple of white gold light. In an instant, Orzo was once more: Alone.

As the guardian took his hand shake, he'd try his best to keep the location on the tower engrained in his memory. It wasn't long though before she just...vanished. With that, Orzo looked down at his wrist to see his watch. "Well...I think I've got enough time before the boss gets made at me."
So, he made his way for the tower. Hopefully this wasn't a bad decision.
