Mattenes then blinked, as he saw the other charge up to obscene levels. His body shook, his tail curled. Thoughts of his home planet rushing through his mind. He was in a mix of Awe, and Terror. The sight of the once Docile Kaito had melted away to the sight of someone who then issued a death threat, and arrest warrent. A lot of him wanted to flee, perhaps flee with Purika. His knowledge of thier own kind, and the fact he hadnt shown aggression had somewhat earned Mattenes' respect. He wanted to say something akin to 'Guys! wait! you dont have to do this!' stand up for what he thought was right. But even though he had a lot of respect for Kaito already, the sight of his power, Mattenes' mind then brought his body and mind to the feeling of having his shirt pulled over his head, and be beaten with 2x4's. He was slightly scared of Kaito. Though the second Purika approached him, he thought of his family again. The idea that the saiyans like him were on the planet to wipe out the species there. To kill his friends, his family. It would almost rise anger out of him if the sight of Kaito didnt petrify him. Mattenes shook like a leaf, thinking about what the other had JUST asked. Go with him? To where? Would I be in trouble? I dont know what to do!- He sharply inhaled. Feeling the little buldge in his right pocket. The candy the human gave him. That human, the strange unknown being to him. Even though they didnt fight back, or save him. They kept themselves from harm, and tried to give Mattenes help. He felt at the candy, barely summing up enough courage in front of the saiyan, and the human to scuttle back a little, and begin to sprint as fast as he could. Even though his powelevel was above 1000, his potential for his body was still locked away, so he didnt sprint away at subsonic speeds even. though he certainly booked it as quick as he could. He didnt want to interfere with Kaito, but he also didnt want to hurt Purika's feelings. Sometimes, it's better to be a coward.

That was lame. The disgrace of a Saiyan up and ran with his tail tucked between his legs and spouted a corny line in the end. How very "un-saiyajin". On the other hand, Mattenes had mustered up his courage and ran with all he had inside the forest, to not ever be seen again. The human returned to his senses and contemplated whether he had exaggerated on his fury; it may have left a bad impact on Mattenes. He showed his brutal side after gifting him a candy and Kaito believed it didn't sit quite well, hence the exit. But on second thought, anyone would try to flee from the area after witnessing such a dramatic change of flow.

Kaito dispersed his attack into nothingness only to find himself alone in the middle of the forest. It suddenly got very quiet, to the point that Kaito could hear the little night insects' constant sound ringing in his ears. The once illuminated forest had now once again fallen prey to the darkness of the chilly night. The human hovered in the air while looking at the city they'd left behind earlier. The lights of the streets were still as lively. Kaito started flying away to the point that he blended with the atmosphere of the town, still trying to figure out how he'd kill time.
