Habana grinned to herself as the Eclipse came to a slow halt, it had been surprisingly difficult but FINALLY she had located the energy signature she had been looking for, it had not occurred to her when she had first arrived that it might not be as simple as zipping around the planet and reaching out to sense around the major populations or even some of the less populous outer cities and towns would prove ineffective but when it had it was just a matter of getting a bit more creative and expanding her senses further.
Eventually, the Eclipse had picked up the presence of a large object hovering around Earth’s western region and once Habana turned her senses on it, she found what she was looking for. Part of her was very tempted to simply fly the Eclipse onto the strange bowl-shaped structure but without knowing what it was exactly Habana decided against it not exactly keen on the idea of frightening anyone into thinking she was the harbinger of another invasion.
So she popped open the hatch on the Eclipse and ordered Jala to swing back around the main ship while she attended to her business. The grin remained strong as Habana stepped off the Eclipse and made the short run through the air to the odd structure. Hopping down onto the smooth tiled floor she took a few moments to look around and admire the place a bit as she waited for someone, ideally the woman she had come to see to sense her arrival or simply pop up.

A soft breeze would billow through the lookout as a familiar presence suddenly made itself known. In the span of a heartbeat, the golden kami would step forth from the air and fade into existence. With a gentle smile the dragoness would unfold her arms and let her silvery ki flicker around her in a regal display before she approached her friend and rival. "Well aren't you a startling sight?" She asked, her soft lips creasing upward into an amused grin as she closed the distance between them. It was in this time as she drew closer every detail that had been changed since their initial encounter would become readily apparent, and she certainly had changed. From the golden scales that adorned her feminine figure to the six arms that all seemed to be moving independent of one another she was almost like a different person. All this combined with her calm and balanced aura and notable increase in strength made it obvious that she had been doing some serious growing. ...Not to say that Habana hadn't. In fact, as the goddess stopped, her faintly glowing eyes would gaze upon the figure of the commander with an impressed and awestruck glint. It became readily apparent that this was not the same girl that Maeve had clashed blows with in the heart of North City. Even so, her soft smile only grew as she focused upon the woman's face. "You have certainly been working since our previous encounter haven't you?" One of her many hands would reach out and gently traced over the commander insignia on her armor as if to illustrate what she was talking about. "I find it infuriating that despite my leaps ahead you've once again shot farther." She smirked softly crossing each set of arms as she tilted her head. "I suppose being left heavy with child left me at a disadvantage, I digress though." She concluded with a wave of her hand. "Come, let's talk inside."

Habana blinked a few times in surprise as Maeve spoke up drawing her attention to the demoness, there were quite a few changes that Maeve had undergone that took her off guard, the least of which was her power and that was most certainly a pleasant surprise. It felt good to know that the woman Habana considered just as much a rival as a friend was still reasonably close to her in terms of power despite her pregnancy.
What really surprised Habana was all the physical changes her friend had undergone, her scales were now a bright gold that reminded Habana just a bit of the gold of a super saiyan. Perhaps that meant that Maeve was just holding back for the moment and actually possessed power enough for a proper fight? Then of course there were the arms, Maeve now, for some reason, had six arms. She’d seen the other hybrid Kaula perform a technique to do such a thing but by all indications this was normal for Maeve now considering her relaxed state.
“I hope dropping in unannounced isn’t a problem” Habana said with a grin as Maeve remarked about her arrival being a startling sight though by all indications Maeve did not seem bothered “I do my best to push myself, though even with a child you’ve certainly not been slacking off Maeve. I wouldn't expect anything less from you though.” Habana said with a grin, if this was how strong Maeve had gotten while restrained by pregnancy she could hardly imagine how strong the demoness would be otherwise, almost certainly they would be far closer to an even base level.
At Maeve’s behest Habana would follow her inside briefly taking a few moments as they walked to look over the strange building they were entering. “What IS this place Maeve. My ship had a hard time actually picking it up, it took me actively searching out your power to even get me here.”

"Your intrusion is more than welcome Habana. I'm glad you decided to show up." Maeve assured her with a sweet smile before guiding the woman down into the inner sanctums of the lookout. It was a little dark in the building and it appeared to be much bigger than it appeared on the outside but Maeve seemed to know where she was going "So much has happened so fast that I couldn't even give you a call. I don't even know where to start." She mused, her headfins flagging up and down revealing her sheepish shame as she realized that she could have probably made more of an effort to keep in touch. "A-As for where this is." She turned stopping at one of the doors in the hallway. "This is my home...Otherwise known as the Sacred Lookout." With that, she'd open the door and reveal her room.
Stepping in the 'room' was more like stepping into an apartment. It was absolutely huge but despite that it had a comforting and homely air to it. There was some very old but very fancy looking furniture that had presumably belonged to a kami that lived there long before them such as: the numerous shelves that were now lined with books from the combined personal collections of both Maeve and Bing, their dining room set up featured a long wooden table and a group of chairs that looked to be crafted for a king.
Contrasting the old furniture however, was a cluster of photographs that lined the walls. Most were of Maeve and Bing in the brief gap of time they spent together after the invasion. It looked like in those happy moments neither of them had the weight of the world on their shoulders allowing them to be a normal looking couple. Others were surreal looking photos of mundane images like the sky, a city at sunset, or some sort of plant or wildlife taken at strange angles. They were Maeve's somewhat poor attempts at capturing the beauty of the Mortal Realm through the lens of a camera and were most likely hung up by Bing in a display of support. There were a few older looking photos scattered as well showing a scrappy looking green haired kid and what looked to be his family of martial artists. In each of those photos the boy sported the goofy looking grin Bing was often recognized by.
The two's individual tastes could be seen mixed in the remaining parts of the 'living room.' In Bing's end there was a couch and an entertainment center with a few beanbags tossed in for good measure. If one were to look closely they'd be able to see a CD case cast aside sporting the 'Serpent Master EX' logo and pair of controllers left out on the glass coffee table (one of which had been notably covered in the indents from frustrated claws that had been dug into the plastic.) On Maeve's side, there was a desk in one corner with a light. Swords of various origin were fastened to the walls and both sets of her demonic armor were stood up on wooden mannequins. The heavy set from her fight with Habana had been patched up to be whole once more but the commander would surely be able to recognize the scars on the suit that hadn't been restored. Above Maeve's desk was a shelf that had been neatly lined with a mass amount of golden demonic artifacts and gems that served as her 'hoard' from her old adventuring days. Above the shelf was a few very worn looking watercolor paintings. One featuring the demoness at a young age standing beside her immediate family in a portrait style, and the other was of her and Akemi that had been commissioned by the kitsune while they were training in the demon realm.
Finally of course, there was a closed door which presumably lead into their private bedroom and bathroom. "Make yourself at home. I'll go get Ember, she should be awaking soon." Maeve said as she started making her way to the bedroom.

“It’s just as much my fault, I have a scouter and a few ships at my disposal more than capable of making a call to Earth… things have just likewise been moving a bit fast for me as well.” and certainly in INCREDIBLY unexpected ways such as Zucc deciding to proclaim that she would be stepping down and proclaimed Habana Queen. Without any call ahead of time. Of course, Habana had taken up the responsibility without paying it much mind.
Assuming constantly internalized panic relieved only by the distraction of punching some combination of Jala, Mayze, Raca, and Shemha in the training facility.
Technically speaking she had not properly taken the throne yet, it was perhaps that fact alone that kept the panic that definitely did not exist from boiling over. It was in some ways less real that she would have the whole Empire on her shoulders if she had not yet returned him and made it official.
Her trip to Earth was definitely not a means of delaying it by doing a couple of things that she’d wanted to do but hadn’t had time beforehand. She simply wanted to offer her friend and a few others a chance to join her on Vegeta for the event and as well discuss some of her future plans.
The strange temple-type building they had entered was apparently the entrance to Maeve’s home, once they delved deeper into it quickly revealed something that more readily resembled a true home. It reminded her just a bit of her Mother’s home back on Vegeta at least in terms of how it ‘felt’ it felt like a real home, the rooms Habana had commandeered back in the Palace had started to feel a bit like that but it still paled in comparison to her mother’s house.
“Oh is that the little one’s name?” Habana inquired though unless Maeve had some sort of pet there was really only one answer to the question. With Maeve retrieving the child Habana took a few moments to idly stroll around the room briefly looking it over, her eyes briefly lingering on the armor from their first battle, impressively repaired and put on display. Habana wished now that she had started wearing armor back then as well, even if Saiyan armor was a bit tougher to repair having even the tattered remnants would have been nice.
Habana took note as she looked around that while there was quite a lot of what Habana assumed to be Maeve’s belongings there were some things that seemed… off as if Maeve and her child were not alone here. The most curious were the gaming devices and games, it seemed odd that someone with as much difficulty in dealing with technology would have what appeared to be a modern earth gaming device, perhaps an older more simple one but not something like this.

Maeve returned a few moments later with a bundle of blankets cradled carefully in a pair of arms. As she stepped out one of them gently pulled the door shut while a fourth flicked the lights off in her room. She stepped out and gave the saiyan queen-to-be a sweet little smile before motioning her forward with her free hand. "This is little Ember." She cooed, pulling the blanket back to reveal the face of a very sleepy little tyke. The girl surprisingly enough looked to be fully human! With her puffy cheeks, wide eyes and little chubby body tucked into a pair of pink flower PJs; It was clear that she didn't have any scales, tails, fins, or fangs to speak of. Not only that, but she looked to be quite sizable for a newborn. In fact, if it weren't for the (already spiky) ruby locks of hair and the silver eyes her fiance was known for it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that the little bundle wasn't hers. At least, not as old as she actually was.
"She's getting big fast." Maeve smiled before rubbing her nose in an attempt to mask her concern. "Bing thinks it might be because of our mixed union but I worry slightly that she might be as tall as my other clansmen. I'm the runt of the pack so to speak and that might not necessarily apply to Ember." She forced another smile as she moved her hand to rest on her hip. "I suppose we'll just have to cross that bridge if it comes to it. We might have to move though... I wonder if it's considered a bad omen to the mortals if a Kami declines living in the lookout." She mused to herself before shaking off the thought.
Anyway, would you like to hold her?" She said offering the saiyenss the baby with a grin.

Whatever confusion and concern Habana had over how things were set up in the apartment was quickly pushed to the side as Maeve returned holding her half-asleep child, Habana made her way over to them quickly and a wide grin spread across her face as Maeve pulled back the blanket to reveal the infant.
It took a few moments before it registered with Habana that Ember lacked the draconic features of her mother, in fact it was mostly just the hair that pointed towards Ember being Maeve’s, even if Ember lacked much of Maeve physical characteristics Habana had to assume this was something either normal to a union between a human and a demon or that the little one would simply grow into those changes.
Questioning it would likewise be rather silly as if anyone was to be certain this child was Maeve’s it was Maeve. “Well since she’s only half I’d wager she won’t get quite as large as them, might be big for a human but that’ll just make her unique” Habana said not quite taking her attention off the young hybrid.
“I’d love to” Habana said immediately as Maeve offered her a chance to hold the little one, she took the young hybrid from Maeve without much difficulty “I used to watch my younger cousins pretty often when I was young. She’d quite a lot easier to handle compared to a Saiyan infant” Habana said with a grin as she adjusted Ember in her arms so both of them would be comfortable.
“I actually started wearing my hair like this because of how grabby they were”
Habana then realized she’d missed something when Maeve had been talking “Wait, did you say Bing said that it was because she was a hybrid? Is he alive again?” Habana asked only somewhat surprised by the idea, she knew that death was not a guaranteed end and Bing more than had the power to guarantee that, but instead she was more interested in if Maeve had ever figured out the situation with the maybe-a-robot Bing she had seen.

Maeve giggled, bulling a hand up to her mouth to cover her laugh. "Well, you look cute with your hair like that Habana." Maeve paused, her cheeks turning a few shades darker before she moved her clawed hand to scratch at the back of her neck quickly. "I-I mean... Yeah I can understand why you put your hair like that. When I ended up cutting my hair like this." She motioned to her mohawk. "I didn't realize how beneficial it was. I only have to worry about her grabbing hold of the front." She grabbed the front of her spiky hairdo, pulling down lightly on it in demonstration before laughing once more. "Of course I have to worry about her grabbing my fins and ears as well. She's got quite a grip after all." The Kami grinned, scritching at the baby's tummy with her claw eliciting a giggle and wriggle from the small child. Ember seemed more than content to be handled by the saiyaness, the hybrid baby cooed appreciatively as she sure enough reached, trying to grab at her spiked pigtail-like buns. Maeve seemed to gush at the sight of Habana holding her daughter and couldn't help but give the baby another tickling poke causing her to laugh once more. She closed her eyes, a soft smile resting on her lips. Letting the air hang for a moment as they stood in the peaceful bliss. "..." "Bing never died, Habana." Maeve's eyes opened slowly, keeping her gaze on Ember as she let her words hang in the air for a moment. "...Zucceta. During your fight on Kanassa." She explained, her lips curling ever so slightly downward. "She did KILL Bing..." She closed her eyes, rubbing the back of her palm with the rune. "But...She brought him back. As a trophy. As a monster." She opened her eyes once more, the molten gold hues glossing over with tears. "She used him as a tool, to kill our friends." The smiling faces of Zerori, Kaula, and Rei flickered through her mind causing the tears to fall down her cheeks. She clasped a hand over her eyes wiping away the tears as she trembled, Ember's gaze turning concerned as she saw her mother not smiling as she normally did. "...Zucceta. She...She helped undo her damage, and is really trying to do her best to turn over a new leaf. I haven't banished her and I don't intend to hurt her... Though..." " "

Habana chuckled as Maeve explained that she had similar issues to those that had required Habana’s change in hairstyle. With any luck for the new mother her child would be a bit less aggressive compared to the average saiyan child, though from what Habana knew her own human blood had done nothing to make a difference as an infant and while Habana knew little about Demons what little she DID know did not paint it as likely that a demon child would be any less like a saiyan one.
Habana froze as Maeve finally answered her question on Bing, she had expected something along the lines of ‘oh yeah hes been back for a little bit now’ and with any hope some indication that he would not necessarily hold ill will toward her for the part she had played in the events leading to his death.
Instead she received an answer that made exactly zero sense. Bing HAD died, she’d felt it and even watched from afar. Perhaps Bing was less inclined to speak of the fact that it was possible to come back from the afterlife and had made up a story of barely surviving?
Then Maeve mentioned that Zucceta HAD killed Bing which only caused MORE confusion, how could Zucceta have killed Bing but -
And then Maeve clarified and Habana froze as she explained it. So the Bing she had mentioned earlier, the cyborg that had briefly appeared on the Lookout had been the real Bing, revived and made a cyborg by Zucceta.
Every part of Habana was trying to rationalize a way around this, as far as Maeve had explained there wasn’t necessarily any indication that it had been Zucceta, whoever really did it could have made him believe it was Zucceta perhaps. Zucc had taken a trophy of war before, the head of Wyntre had been a fixture of the throne room for quite some time but it felt unlikely she’d go THIS far for a trophy.
‘She used him as a tool, to kill our friends’
Habana flinched a bit at that as she remembered what now made sense as perhaps one such event, Reikiko and Kaula’s arrival on Vegeta and the subsequent battle. The undetectable power that had taken down Reikiko could really ONLY be a mechanical Bing, he was one of the few beings that existed that could have and WOULD have done so.
And in understanding that Habana came to the awful realization, even if Zucceta HADN'T done it personally she at the very least knew about it, she’d fought alongside him against them while Habana had been training the others.
“Zucc.. what have you done” Habana muttered to herself, a moment after she said it a crushing realization came to her, THIS had been what she’d foreseen, this was what she’d spent so long trying to avoid. Habana looked entirely at a loss for words, were it not for Ember Habana wasn’t entirely certain she’d have kept herself from moving away from here as quickly as physically possible.

Maeve didn't say anything. She merely let the words hang in the air as she felt her dark thoughts swirl around her. In her honesty she bore her bitter heart for her dear friend showing just how wounded the situation had left her. As much as she desperately tried to fight it back she could feel the RAGE and AGONY that scorched her very soul upon losing her love. Maeve clutched a hand over her chest as she bowed her head. A sniffle broke the heavy silence. As the baby in Habana's hands began to wiggle. The girl's silvery eyes watered as she reached out for her mother sensing her distress. She let out another sniffle and a coo as she reached her other hand. Spontaneously, Ember's power level would spike and her limbs and face would grow emerald scales much like her mothers. She cried out, her canines elongating as she began to wriggle and thrash in Habana's grasp, her sudden tail flicking wildly. "Oh!" Maeve cried out in alarm seeing her daughter start to get riled up. The demoness gently took her from Habana's arms before shushing her gently rocking her back and forth while also tickling her tummy to try and get the girl to laugh and relax. When that didn't seem to work Maeve would pull her aside. parting her lips to sing. "Make my wish come true, let darkness slip aside... Hiding all our hope, mocking what we treasure... Battles we can win, if we believe our souls... Hang in for the light, till dawn... Fate will not leave you, hate will not heal you... Pray and one day, peace shall flow everywhere..."
As the goddess' soft and gentle tones filled the air the crying girl would slowly relax. She drifted more and more to a peaceful slumber while also reverting to her normal state until she was completely back at her base and slumbering peacefully. Maeve gave a sweet little kiss on her forehead before looking back to Habana.
"...I'm sorry, Habana. I know Zucceta is your friend and that you love her dearly but...I couldn't swallow my true feelings. I'm doing my best to try and learn to forgive her for everyone's sake but at the moment it's hard." She frowned, a single tear falling down her cheek. She laughed to herself, the ease of having multiple arms becoming apparent as she could freely wipe her eyes while cradling her daughter. "...I was alone and pregnant because of her. The time I would have needed Bing the most she took from me and while she's trying to make it right I still feel that anger." She shook her head forcing another laugh. "I'm a lousy god it seems. Even so, I didn't mean to drag you down with my pain. I truly am sorry."

Habana very gladly released Ember back into Maeve’s arms, not having to worry about agitating the surprisingly powerful infant would do a whole lot to help settle her own emotions. Surprisingly as Maeve began singing that too managed to calm Habana a bit just as it did with Ember.
Habana hadn’t expected her friend to be quite so good at singing. It was a pleasant song even if entirely unfamiliar to Habana, now with Ember soothed and sleeping in Maeve’s arms Habana was worried where exactly the conversation would go next.
Habana flinched involuntarily at Maeve’s first comment “I don’t exactly know much of what Zucc has done to try and repair what she has done, but regardless of my feelings I do think you have every right to be angry. I can’t imagine being in your position, even less can I imagine forgiving from that position. I think even just making the effort shows how strong you are, whether or not your anger or willingness to look past it effects your quality as a god” Habana shrugged
“I don't know, Vegeta doesn’t have a patron like you are for Earth. But I’d say we’d be lucky to have a patron that’s even half of what you are”

"..."
Maeve's lightly glowing gaze trailed up from the ground to the saiyan woman. The demoness blinked a few times and flagged her headfins up and down as she fought back another wave of emotional tears. She parted her soft lips to speak but only let out a choke. She was forced to bite down at her lower lip. As Ember lay, nearly asleep and nestled within Maeve's comforting grasp, it was Maeve's turn to calm herself and be strong. At least a little. She let out a shaky sigh as she looked back to her friend, her fiery gaze locking with the saiyan's once more.
"Thank you, Habana."
She finally said feeling herself deflate as the weight of the words were exhaled in a breath. "You...Despite everything, have made it an effort to be someone I can rely on. Someone who will understand me. Even when our worlds were at each other's throats. With Bing's death and Zucceta's destruction of Kanassa. You still found it in your heart to be a friend and to care about me when I needed the support the most." She squeezed her eyes shut as she rest one of her many hands over her face almost in an expression of disbelief.
"Even now, as I air my grievances about your dearest of friends you...You still are willing to offer an ear and provide uplifting words. I don't have a lot of people in my life I can find such comfort in...So..." Maeve took both of Habana's hands into hers and held them tightly in a genuine display of tenderness.
"Thank you."

Habana let out a sigh as it seemed that thankfully she was not in for any more particularly large twists and upheavals in the conversation which would hopefully mean they could veer back into anything resembling a lighter conversation again, though it did feel a bit odd as Maeve listed off the moments that Habana had been there for her, she hadn’t particularly realized she’d made much of an impact short of being a friend and rival to her and it was strangely pleasant hearing how much it meant to her.
“No problem, while I might have a few more now than I’m used to you were, despite our odd start, one of the few friends I had after the invasion. Which, all things considered, the fact we were friends after that remains amusingly strange” Habana said with a grin as Maeve held her hands, trying very quickly to push past mention of friends in relation to the invasion and the anger associated with it and instead focusing on Maeve.
“This has certainly been a bit more serious of a visit than I expected,” Habana said with a laugh to try and show that she didn’t seem to hold anything against Maeve for how things had ended up playing out.

"My life has been serious as of late." Maeve said with a soft chuckle as she pulled away from the saiyan commander. "Ascending to godhood, being a full time mom, training followers It's all been very exciting but tiresome." She gave a single laugh as she shook her head, almost as if she couldn't believe it. "The responsibility is, well it's staggering... Though, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world I sometimes think back to more simple times." She cut her gaze to her heavy armor. Her eyes trailed over the patched hole slowly, recalling the intense fight as well as a ll the events that had followed.
"...Though, I'm sure a lot of that is just blind nostalgia. I have really grown into my life here after all." She looked now to Habana, her golden gaze tracing over her figure as she puzzled over something. "...Though, something tells me you know the feeling of being an outsider, growing into a new world." She smiled softly, pacing two hands on her hips as she nodded her head once.
"Tell me, what have you been keeping busy with?" She asked, redirecting the conversation into Habana's figurative court. "I'm sure you've got some sort ofnews for me considering you came all the way here to see me." She giggled, her headfins perking up with excitement as she eyed her friend.

Habana chuckled as Maeve mentioned that she felt Habana could understand being a bit of an outsider, truth be told most of her life felt a bit like that so having to grow into her new ‘world’ as Commander and being seen in a mostly positive light by the people of Vegeta most certainly WAS quite odd in the stark contrast of growing up a mid-class half-saiyan with a bad attitude. “For the most part its been the same sort of mess, keeping the Empire moving along, trying to sort out the mess of the past few pseudo-Commanders. I’ve more or less gotten that stuff straightened out though even if it took a whole lot of shouting and smacking people around” Habana said with a laugh “The Empire isnt quite used to having a Commander who actually has interests beyond sending or going out to lay waste to our planetary neighbors so that’s been an adjustment for everyone” “Most lately though I’ve actually been spending some time on Namek, they had a run in with some fool Mazoku and his gang that tried to force him into control of the planet but Zucc had already dispatched a crew to take a look at Namek and they handled it, apparently they had some wierd run-ins with rogue Saiyans so I decided to pay a personal visit to make sure nothing like that ends up happening.” “Thing’s arent that great there, they havent quite bounced back from… well from not being alive quite so well, all of the clans have been all in chaos but it’s looking better now, I setup a training facility there so with any luck that’ll help rebuild the friendship Namek and the Empire used to have and they have a new Guru” Habana chuckled at the thought of Accordio, he was amusingly direct and mature despite being so young “He’s a bit on the young side but that might be good for them, someone with a fresh mindset to push Namek forward yaknow?”
