Sallot’s endless wandering had taken him down South, towards the warm Southern Islands, replacing the heat of the desert with the tropical one that the islands seemed to bask in. Having been travelling for so long with no source of income it was no surprise that the saiyan’s limited reserves of funds ran out. While hunting and gathering in the wilderness provided sustenance and camping was no problem for the warrior, sometimes the necessities of the modern world were needed and the only way to get them was money. So in light of that Sallot had taken doing random odd jobs while he stayed in towns or villages before he moved on, it was irritating but needed so he kept his anger in check and exploded more rarely. It helped that his temper having been tamed somewhat during his stay on earth.
It was this lack of zeni that made the Sayian enter South Capitol and try search for some lodging and mainly for a job. After looking around the city for a place to stay and finding that most were out of reach of his pocket currently, Sallot decided that in the end it was better to just camp outside of the city in the near forest for the time being and just focus on finding a job first. Following another night of sleep under the stars the young warrior found himself job hunting. Wearing a sleeveless dark grey shirt, tail wrapped securely and discreetly under it and around his waist, with bandages wrapped around his wrists and dark blue pants, with a blue cloth over it that was secured with a purple rope belt, and a sword strapped to his hip on top of it all, Sallot made for a surreal image as he searched for work.
His looks and attitude were the main thing that deterred him from getting hired from most places the saiyan tried but as luck would have it as he was wondering the streets in the shadier entertainment parts of the city Sallot stumbled onto one particularly tall complex that had a big sign saying hiring slapped on the entrance. Figuring he should take the chance the warrior entered and after talking with the receptionist surprisingly enough he was directed to meet up with the boss for the interview immediately. The following two hours were a grueling interrogation that had both parties fuming in irritation, Soyazuki, the boss, due to the stubborn and aggressive nature of the saiyan and Sallot by all the stupid question the woman seemed to be asking. Surprisingly despite the negativity the Saiyan not only found himself with a job as a bartender but with a place to live in too.
It was through this series of events that Sallot currently found himself looking into the mirror of his temporary room as he tried to fix the damn bow tie of his uniform. After finally managing to tie it properly he exited his lodging and made his way towards the elevator towards the area where the bar was. While it had been a few days since he got the job today would be the first time the siayan took a shift and actually worked as the previous days served as training for what would be required of him to do. As he walked through corridor towards the bar Sallot couldn’t help but grumble internally how annoying it had been to learn all the stuff that was required to even be remotely decent bartender but the money he was going to earn was well worth it in the end and while he didn’t like to admit it the boss of this place reminded him somewhat of one of the fellow gladiators he used to live with and afterwards escaped with.
As Sallot finally entered his eyes once more roamed the already familiar room out of habit. The bar itself was rather dark and spacious with not much lighting and mainly painted in dark colors such as purple and red. There were tanks filled with water and fish too. Its furniture consisted of dark purple couches and a piano on which one of the employees usually played. Alongside it there was also a juke box and a small podium for the dancers or for guest to sing on whenever Karaoke night was scheduled. To finish it off a tall elegant chandelier hanged from the ceiling illuminating everything in soft pale blue light. Finishing scanning the room Sallot made his way to the counter and settled in giving out grunts of acknowledgment to whoever greeted him as the rest of the staff also slowly started to trickle in.
