TOMA THE HEROAnother day, another quiet training session away from the family. With Ninjin being so busy with her family and the children, Toma hadn't been able to push his body to it's limits by sparring with his Super Saiya-Wife. After all, what made a better sparring partner than ones partner? They had given themselves fully to each other, and in return they were happy and secure. It was bliss, really.
But then Toma had taken over the position of Turtle Hermit, wanting to make the world a better place, wanting to train warriors so that they could defend the Earth when the time was right. Sure, none of them were as strong as he was yet, but... they would grow. Given time, he was sure they could surpass him in strength. After all, that was the whole point of training them, right?
But for now, Toma had taken a break from training his students. They had fought long and hard in their last training session, so now they deserved rest, a well deserved break from their fighting with him. After all, without rest one could not allow their muscles to rebuild and strengthen their body.
And that is what brought Toma here to this uninhabited archepeligo today. A nice little vacation away from everything. Just him, and his thoughts. He layed back upon the large branches of a massive tree that had taken the island for its own, and his eyes were closed. He listened to the crashing of the waves on the beach, the chirping of the seagulls, and the splashing of the dolphins in the ocean...
All and all, a wonderful place for a nap.

[ Thread PL: 30,793 | Heavy Weights on, weighted PL: 7,698 | Full Focus active! x3 | Toma ] Dashing over the bright blue ocean, sometimes tipping a hand into the cool, nice water, Hinawa giggled as she flew low. Normally she trained up in the frozen north, but this place was nice too - and she didn't want to nearly freeze to death every single training session. With a nice spin over the water, she created a spray upwards that created a minor rainbow. Finally, she came to a stop among multiple small, beautiful tropical islands. This was just the right spot! After her loss at the tournament, Hinawa had realized a new truth to her strength - to how much she could control even the beast-like instincts within her. Floating slightly above the knee-high water on the shore of one of the islands, the fox-girl took an almost meditative stance - despite the slight breeze, her heavy sleeves didn't move at all. No surprise, they weighted multiple tons, same for her top and boots - they kept her strength controlled and allowed her to train more effectively. Folding her hands together now, Hinawa closed her eyes, took a deep breath - and released all of her Ki suddenly in a burst, together with her eyes snapping open and changing color from blue to red. Pale blue Ki surrounded her like a swirl, before sparks of red spread through it - and seemingly ignited her Ki, and from one second to the next, her Ki tripled in volume. "A lot easier like this..." In wonder, Hinawa looked at her own hands - the red aura burned around them, yet she felt no pain like before. Her body had adapted to the strength already - or maybe it had always been adapted to it, and the pain had been caused just by how suddenly it normally arose? She had no idea. Concentrating, the Kitsune decided that to truly master this form, she had to try actually channeling her Ki while using it! Holding her hands in front of her chest with a small distance between the flat palms, the martial artist imagined her Ki again as she always did - a raging inferno all around a calm center. But it wasn't entirely true now - the inferno was also part of her. That changed mental perception made the concentration a lot harder to achieve, but she began to channel the flames anyway. A small ball of energy began to form between her palms - red sparks igniting and combining together, into a small bead of flame. A single drop of sweat ran down the side of her face - she could still channel foxfire in this form. What a relief. Sadly, relaxing while currently holding destructive energy at bay only with mental fortitude turned out to be a bad idea. A sudden surge of energy overcame her - she had to get rid of it! Throwing her hands forward, Hinawa felt her enhanced energy spill out, sending a Foxfire Inferno right towards the one massive tree on this island! With horror she watched as her destructive red flames, concentrated into a beam, rushed right towards it.

TOMA THE HEROThe shadow of the leaves that clung to the tree covered Toma's face as he breathed in the fresh salty breeze wafting in from the ocean. His form was relaxed, his lips curled up in a smile as he rested, his hands behind his head, fingers locked together. Such a pleasant, easy day... everything was perfect.
That was, however, until he felt a strong Ki surging nearby. Toma's eyes shot open as his senses snapped awake, and he sat up, his hands unlocking and falling to his sides. He turned his head to the right, which is where the energy was coming from, and he spotted a... fox girl? Or at least that's what he saw.
With her tail and ears, she certainly didn't look like the average Zoan that lived on this world, but for all Toma knew, there might be a whole subspecies of them he simply hadn't met yet. After all, there were a myriad of creatures that lived upon this planet. She was far from the strangest thing he'd ever seen.
Dropping from the tree, his eyes widened a little as the girl fired a blast at him. No, not at him, at the tree! She'd been overflowing with energy and had to release it. Oh great, he was dealing with a Rookie. With a sigh, Toma built up all the energy he could into his right hand, it glowing with an awesome blue power.
He dashed at the blast, striking the flaming attack with his powered right hand, and it flew straight upwards where he had struck it towards! The fire would eventually fade, the Ki dissipating into nothingness, not having harmed a thing on the planet.
Afterwards, Toma would land and look to Hinawa, laughing and rubbing the back of his head. "Whoa there!" He'd call "You'd better be more careful with where you're aiming those things! If I hadn't noticed, this whole place would've gone up!"

Oh no - her blast was going to hit the tree! Hinawa closed her red eyes, waiting for the inevitable, when suddenly... a huge power surged! Her head snapped back up and she opened her eyes, halfway expecting Emer to stand in front of her - but the unknown aura lacked the cold, constant hostility of the Kagami. No, this aura was bright, almost friendly feeling! Someone dashed right into the way of the flames, and he bounced them right up into the sky. The red, surging fires dissipated above them, being nothing but pretty fireworks now. With a sigh, Hinawa felt the strength leave her. As the stranger landed nearby, a glad but exhausted expression came to her face, just as she sank down into the knee-high, warm water, falling onto her knees and hands. Her red eyes glimmered for a moment as she looked at the stranger, but the red aura around the girl dissipated, reducing her power level back down to normal. With that, the red eyes turned back to her natural deep blue. "Hah... thanks... I was a bit reckless." waving to him, Hinawa tried getting back up, but all she managed to do was almost stand up only to fall backwards with a splash, sitting in the water and being completely drenched in it now. But hey, still better than accidentally burning an island paradise. "Sorry, had no time to... aim, really. I didn't plan to even release that!" Waving at the sky where the last red embers were disappearing into the wind, the exhausted fox girl frowned. "Keeping my full focus AND using foxfire might've been overdoing it a bit. You ever get the feeling where your Ki suddenly stops listening to you? Yeah, it was that, but worse." Now that the danger had passed, though, the sudden surge of adrenaline she had gotten vanished... and she suddenly felt stings all over her hands! Pulling them out of the water, Hinawa saw that the skin of the inside of her hands was singed and blistered all over, just as if she had reached right into hot coals and started juggling them. The young woman cringed slightly as she tried moving her fingers now, the pain returning at full force! "Guess that's what I get for forgetting the most basic rule of 'start small'. I bet Emer would either laugh at me or be disappointed. Good thing you were here before I actually damaged something besides my pride and hands. My name's Hinawa Hyoukai - who're you?"--- Toma

TOMA THE HEROAs Toma got closer and closer to the fox girl, he eventually eyed that she was standing in a pond. Appropriate for training flames, Toma surmised. The gentle caress of the water could chase away even the most deadly of flames. Water cooled and soothed, where as flame warmed and burned. Each had their good and bad points of course, but when learning one, it was good to have it's polar opposite on hand to minimize any bad reactions, such as having a bucket of water to put out a small campfire.
Toma frowned a little as the girl fell back into the pond, her body clearly stressed far beyond her limit. While he admired the passionate fighting spirit he was sensing from the girl, it was important to know when to rest, too. Too much training kept you high strung and on edge, preventing a warrior from achieving their truest fighting potential. Perhaps this woman needed some guidance? Her po"Indeed. When I was learning to control a new power I obtained a while ago, it wouldn't listen to me at first. I couldn't maintain it and it stressed my body. But one day, something clicked, and it has obeyed me ever since."wer was small, but her heart and passion was large. She'd go far, given proper instruction.
He'd step closer, nodding in response to her question. He crossed his arms, closing his eyes and nodding as he spoke. Indeed, he was speaking of the power of the Super Saiyan, the legendary transformation of his race that was feared and respected across the universe.
"I do not know of who this Emer is that you speak of, but he sounds like a harsh teacher." Toma would go on, watching the girl wince at her pain. Her hands were burned from her own power? To put that much power behind a blast was impressive for a girl of her strength. Perhaps he could do something to help her out? Reaching into his Gi, he fished around inside an inner pocket for a moment before pulling out a small green bean.
"Here, eat this. It'll help with the pain. As for who I am, my name is Toma. I'm a Saiyan."

"If I channel my Ki without using the focused state, I have no trouble keeping it under control. So I'll just have to perfect my control over it, really. I'll have to do that anyway, if I want to transcend what I am now." His statement about power reminded her of her own beast-like power she had used before - which had finally been refined into the Full Focus. To truly become powerful, she'd have to refine it far, far further, though. "A Senzu Bean? Thanks." A bit surprised by the sudden offer, Hinawa took the green bean - she only ever had one taste of these miraculous little beans before. With a nod and smile, she ate the green object - and felt a surge of renewed energy flush through her immediately, the skin on her hands healing instantly and without leaving a scratch. Moving her hands a bit and standing back up straight, her smile turned into a complete wide grin. "Those always seem to hit the spot when I do something stupid." The next words made her grin disappear instantly, though. A Saiyan? The moment those words were said, memories that were not her own flooded through Hinawa's mind, together with her own. //Remember the faces. Individuals. Not everyone.// Speaking her own mantra against the madness within her psyche, the Kitsune closed her eyes for a moment, which had begun to turn red again - but when she opened them to look at Toma, they were back to being deep blue like the sea around this archipelago. "Good thing you don't know Emer, then. He's got a... thing or two... against Saiyans. Former slave of the Solar Empire, you see. One of the now free Kagami." Quickly trying to play off her uncomfortable flash of emotions, Hinawa thought that doing that would be a lot easier if this Toma guy didn't look a lot like many of the Saiyans within the memories which were not her own - he even had a resemblance to Levlidian, now that she thought about it. Maybe Saiyan men simply had little obvious difference in appearance, apart from a few special cases? That had to be the reason, surely. "But yeah, he is harsh, strict... and kind, too. Don't tell him I told you that if you ever do meet him, please, or I'll never hear the end of it." With a sigh, Hinawa began to notice the Gi that this man was clad in. That symbol, didn't that mean... Turtle? Memories of Aina came flashing back - the Turtle School, headed by her sister, another Kagami/Saiyan hybrid. "Hey... you're part of the Turtle school, right? Crap, I'm sure Aina gave me a name... but you're one of the students of her sister, I presume?" --- Toma
