Eyes shut, arms crossed and face leaning down, the green figure looked like something straight out of a children's cartoon. Of course, it'd be downright dumb to be standing up. He was sitting in a lawn chair, nearly half asleep and snoring ever so lightly. Not a single person dared to bother him, perhaps fearing what the tall individual would do if something were to awaken him. Though, there was little to worry about: the slumbering Namekian was a gentle giant, never to harm a thing innocent. Children who ran past him stopped and gawked at his antenna, like he was some kind of ali- they had the right idea but it was still rude to stare. He wouldn't be able to see them, his eyelids shut tight down to provide a lasting darkness.
The Namekian's body was worn rather badly. With previous training sessions, extensive exercise and the like, how could a normal being not be tired? It was like putting an out of shape human on a treadmill for an entire month times ten. And today was resting day, ah yes, Monday was the day of rest. The time to sleep, charge up his stamina and take up space once every few months. Naturally his time of rest would take a few hours or so. Fast foward, the few hours would feel like simply a few seconds as the Namek would rise from his seat to stretch. His muscle extending and mouth widening with a rude yawn. The city folk appearing not to mind him, as the like was apparently a common in the place. Apparently big places like it lacked that kind of decency.
He was awake at last, small children running up to him and gawking at his odd features. It didn't bother him, really, it simply made him utter a chuckle every so often when asked a simple question. He'd shoo off the kids after enough Q|A's were exchanged, leaving the children satisfied and running back to their own business, happy and laughing. A wonderful sight, in the Namek's eyes. As his head craned from side to side, an idea popped into his head;
Zeni.
The currency of Earth. And it appeared as though the Namekian lacked any, subtracting the 500 given to him by his father before departure. And a measly 500, though still grateful, wasn't going to purchase the Namekian anything useful. He was certainly going to have to run some errands or find a part time job in the city. And not just any old job, the Namek would need to help someone important. It felt rather..avaricious of him to seek a wealthy figure, but it was for a good cause! To increase his strength and also protect the good of the earth! His reason was just and surely anyone could agree with it! Nodding to himself, the Namek shut his eyes before floating upward and looking around once more. There must have been an ad or two? Perhaps the Mayor's assistant? Or capture escaped convicts? Something one of those Heroes in those earth books would do?
"Alright. Im ready for anything, anyway. Here I come!"
As the male rose, he scouted the sides. Posters for eating joints, places for shopping and basic jobs alike. Raising a bare brow, the Namek squinted his large eyes as he gazed onto a puny poster in the distance. Something of a dog-like person needing the help of a strongman and offering rather handsome pay- or at least what was considered handsome to humans. Namekians didn't have this or any other type of currency. All 'purchases' were merely trades or gifts to one another. Regardless, it interested him. Putting him to dash forward and descend before the wall it was plastered upon. Now close, it was much easier to read, displaying:
Understanding each word, the Namek looked to his own two limbs. Flexing a little bit, the muscle expanded and tightened. Clearly he boasted the required strength. And his ability over ki manipulation to enable flight covered transportation. He was ultimately set! All he had to do was follow the adress to the Mayor's office and demonstrate his capabilities. Like before, the Namek nodded to himself before swiping the poster with a quick sleight of the hand and then boosting off into the distance. As he darted for the office, he thought of what kind of goods were being traded. He decided not to ponder too much, as it was none of his actual business.
After a few minutes coupled on seconds, the green skinned man arrived at his location. The beige paper citing the job details clutched tight in his grip, nails dug into the fabric. He didn't grasp enough to break the paper, and the paper was strong enough. Not like it was something weak like paper macéor Raditz. Upon drop, few guards approached the Namekian out of preparation and protection over their jurisdiction. They were only doing their jobs.
"Halt," The two men said simultaneously. The man wearing an all black suit amd sunglasses raised his hand. "State your business, sir."
"Right, apologies." The Namekian replied. "I'm here for the job offer. I expect the role hasn't been filled?"
Giving a nod, the other man stepped forward. "That's correct. Proof of offer and identification, please."
"My name is Ukare. And here," He gave his identity and raised the poster up. The mayor's doggy face and the text all perfect from how it was before, minus some wrinkles from being rolled up.
"Hm!" The two men grunted. "Follow us, please- right this way." They raised their arms respectively, walking into the large mansion of an office. As the Namek was led, pictures and awards regarding the mayor were stacked on shelf upon shelf. The large hall leading to the office was rather gorgeous, lined in a red carpet and marble floors. The walls decorated with the mayor and his pups, a well established man-canine..guy. He appeared successful, was all.
"The mayor," Ukare spoke quietly. "He's quite important, huh?" The man in white nodded. "That's right! A very respected man!" The man in black piped up. "Right! Come, the door is right there. Enter." He raised his arm, the Namek entering and closing the door behind him.
The door shut behind him, Ukare stepped forward to bow to the mayor, who was sitting behind his desk- all adorable like. It was impressive, how someone so adorable could be so achieving and intelligent. As Ukare rose, he put his paper on the table.
"Sir, I'd like to fill your job offer," Ukare bowed his head.
"Would you, now?" The mayor stroked his graying mustache.
"Yes, sir. I can demonstrate now, if you'd like."
"Go on..think fast!" The dog smirked under his handlebar mustache, reaching back and tossing a chew toy at the Namekian. It was almost incredible how fast it was thrown. Without much force, it was caught in the Namek's hands.
"Er.." Ukare raised a brow, confused.
The mayor, chuckling, pointed at a large crate across the room. The letters, '1トン' printed against the wooden surrounding. Instructed to lift it, the Namekian nodded and walked toward it. Inhaling deeply and then exhaling, Ukare grabbed the cube with a single hand: lifting it with little effort, even bouncing it to where his palm met the center bottom. Another box, right beside it had the letters, '2トン' printed. Instructed to grab that one, it was noted that a handle was put on the top. Grabbing it, the Namek gripped the handle tight before lifting it with just a little bit more effort.
A little sweat breaking, it was wiped quickly. The mayor granted Ukare permission, nodding and putting an emblem on his gi. The word, "配信" was put on the pectoral piece.
Allowing exit, Ukare thanked the mayor for allowing him the duty. With both, the one ton and two ton box in his arms, he floated into the air. Feeling weighted, he hoped it would increase his endurance over heavy weight objects. From what he was told, it would be a rather long flight from East City to West Capital.
Dashing forward, his face was straight. Not a lick of emotion anywhere. The Namekian was going to get his job done and that was all. No side tracks or goofing off like any other delivery man. He needed thezeni. He was going to do a bang up job, even if it meant fighting for what was inside the packages.
Along the flight, the Namek was still intent on delivery. His expression remained the same, even when the weather changed drastically. The skies went dark from blue and the gusts of wind picked up, forcing him to put a tighter grip on the two boxes. It felt so..unnatural. the sudden change and all. As if someone or something was ready to ambush him in the midst of flight. Air Pirates were a thing, in the day and age. But, who would be foolish enough to ambush a Namekian? Someone with a death wish, assuming he was a wandering Dragon clan member, maybe? Whatever it was, best had been prepared for anything.
His sights looked about, speed increasing. He had to deliver whatever was within those crates. But, at the same time the unknown force did the same. It truly unsettled him. West Capital was only a few hundred miles away and his speed should have done the trick. Unfortunately, his speed was matched. A true annoyance as a new figure approached him. It's appearance masculine, large and built. Red in color and a strange armor equipped. He forced the Namek to stop in his tracks, chuckling and giving an evil grin. But what was he? Some kind of soldier, but correctly he was a Beppa-Seijin. Perhaps a surviving member of the race? None the less, his intention was to thieve. Ukare wasn't having any of it!
"Hmph..what do you want?" Ukare raised a bare brow, his figure straight and the packages dangling in his hands. The Beppa-Seijin refused to answer, only shaking his head and pointing. It was better; it gave the Namekian time to think of how bad he was at introductory dialogue and sounding tough. None the less, he had take the alien down. He tossed the items into the sky, high enough to put it in orbit. He utilized his speed, rushing the Seijin.
Darting, he punched and knee'd at the alien quickly. From the corner of his eye, the Namekian watched the descending cubes. Continuously rushing the Beppa, he tried aiming for paralysis inducing areas, like the jugular and rib cage, although the strange armor repelling the latter. The Seijin retorted with haste, using some kind of energy field to push Ukare off and rush him down, using his ki to force him back again. The boxes were falling still, but faster. He had to toss them again- soon.
Battling on, Ukare evaded the slow attacks before retorting quickly with a fierce uppercut. The Seijin groaning with pain before receiving a nasty jab to the Adams Apple. It clearly was pushed inward, the Namekian feeling not a sliver of guilt for paralyzing the man. Instead, rushing for the two boxes and pulling them up to rush back on track. Luckily enough, the Beppa-Seijin didn't have reinforcement, leaving Ukare to get to the destination.
Now moments away from the drop zone, Ukare descended into the great city. He appeared before the town's hall and entered, the emblem on his chest granting entry. Speaking briefly, he explained his presence and gave the mayor of West C. the goods. Before long, he was back in the air and headed back to East City.
Much faster at this point, Ukare made his way back in no time. Rocketing toward the mayor, he landed in a hurry. The two bodyguards allowed entry- as they would and allowed the green man to speak to the mayor face to face. Explaining of a slight delay, the mayor smiled and told the Namek he was glad the goods were delivered at all. While curiousity was apparent, he still refused to ask what was inside. Not asking, Ukare simply spoke with the mayor before being asked to extend his hand.
Doing so, something was plopped onto his hand. A brown bag? Touching and moving it, it felt hard and like coins were inside of it. It'd be rude to count up how much was there in total right there, so Ukare bowed like before, running out and having a side job of delivering for East City's mayor.
