It was a long return from the mountains Happos had taken an adventure to, and a tiring one too. Throughout the entire hike, they had nothing to eat but cold meats, and stale bread. These foods were not bad at first, but that was only because Happos hadn't eaten in a few days. So, as you can guess, a couple of days eating the exact same thing was awful.
When he had returned home, he decided to host a party. This wasn't going to be just any party, but a party to give back to himself. A party filled with all kinds of foods from all over the lands. He had got in contact with all of his suppliers upon his arrival, a pack of hunters, a spice trading caravan, a local gardener, and many more people.
It took a few days for everything to get to him, but it finally did and lo and behold, everything arrived just on time in unison. In front of him was the widest array of food you could see. There must have been over ten different kinds of meats, dozens of types of vegetables and powders, and an essentially unlimited array of spice. Happos was more surprised than he normally was with this setup. For once, he would finally have his own creation and be able to make his own food.
But with this, he also wanted to share it with others. Not to be nice, but rather to boost himself up, and to see the looks on peoples faces when they took a bite out of his luxury food. Because of this self desire, he began to make posters and hang them up far and wide across the desert lands. The posters would read, 'Eat like a king, but free! A feast. Located at the Oasis Pavilion'
After these posters were put up, he had begun the cooking process. There were a large array of instruments for him to utilize, like a large oven, a crock pot, and some steamers. With these, he would work his magic, taking a third of each meat and vegetable and preparing them differently. One in the steamer, oven, and crock pot. Then, after he would prepare the meats and vegetables, he would follow that up with seasonings. He would again, cut each third into another third, then proceed to season them to be sweet, savory, and sour.
This is not the only thing he'd do however, with some foods he would stuff them into a bread or another meat. Or, he would do something entirely differently, and make an odd addition to a meal by adding something like a pancake or a radish pastry. But the most intricate of item, he would prepare for himself. The delicious, heavenly tasting desert, the sweet roll.
He'd knead and fluff the dough with amazing precision, and cook it at just the right temperature and time. He would then brush it with cinnamon that a slight citrus spice to it, and then cover the cinnamon with a sugary glaze. He then would put it back in the oven, and out would pop a small, delectable caramelized treat. He would finish the creation of this by applying a thick layer of a cream cheese frosting, and then he'd set it out on a silver platter on the table.
After doing this, he would turn around and wipe his brow with a dry napkin, then turn back to the sweet roll and proceed to reach his hand out to take it.

[Thread PL 3000] In her time on Earth, Taro had explored from the cold Northern Highlands all the way down to the Eastern lands. She'd traveled the globe, sparring with opponents much stronger than her and learning the history of this place called Earth. She didn't mind the little gem of a planet, and was becoming more and more relieved things were in relative peacetime, both because she liked her time here, and she wouldn't like to be forced to kill such strong opponents. For all it's wierdness, Earth was a pretty alright place.
But, all this travelling made Taro quite hungry, especially through the hot deserts of the west. Her stomach grumbled in protest as she entered one of the towns on the western frontiers. She had long since shed her SSE armor after a few incidents which inadvertently scared the locals, and instead walked along in some simple baggy Earth-pants and a T-shirt. While the sharp eye could maybe identify her boots as saiyan armor, Taro wasn't particularly worried. There were lots of different species on earth, she'd even met a few saiyans. Just then A small poster caught her attention and interrupted her thoughts:
'Eat like a king, but free! A feast. Located at the Oasis Pavilion'
Not just any food, but Earthling food. And not just any Earthling food, but Earthling-King food. Taro's stomach rumbled again. She would never pass up such a generous free meal. With newfound enthusiasm and a bright smile, she dashed to the feast's location.
The food had just finished being prepared, and servers were only starting to arrange the banquet. A delicious-looking pastry caught her eye. It was being served by a purple zoan. With her stomach grumbling, Taro reached out to try this delicious new treat. Her hand grasped the other side of the sweet roll, bumping into the Zoan's hand.
At the accidental touch, Taro cracked a large, friendly, grin, "Hiya." She said and she refused to let go of the roll, "My name's Taro! Nice to meet 'cha!"

Ah, yes, the sweet roll. Happos would day dream over the flavors for a second, remembering the first time he had such a delicious treat. This food was his sacred recipe, and to this point no one had ever tried it except for Happos. Sharing was something he didn't like, especially when he put his effort into it. This sweet roll on the platter meant the world to him in those few minutes, and he couldn't wait to chow down on it.
While attempting to pick up the sweet roll, he would feel a soft skin bump into his hand, grasping onto his savory treat that he was hoping to enjoy. He would slightly tighten his grip on the roll, and tug a little bit before looking up at the Saiyan.
"That is mine." he would state calmly, before attempting to brush off the hand.
He could not let a delicious treat like this go to waste to someone who does not deserve that kind of flavor.
"You do realize there are other foods around, don't you? So why don't you let go." he'd state aggressively to the Saiyan.
After this, he would become a bit more forceful in his actions, regardless of who he was speaking to. An event like this wasn't set up so he would have to make such a wonderful treat for guests. They get the other food, the food that he put minimal effort in. He did not care about people eating that food. But one to challenge him by grabbing at his favorite food? That wasn't something Happos was very fond of.

[HWs ON]
Big Train was zipping by on his hover bike, The Air Bike 1000. His mind was racing, filled with a truck load of inadequacy from his recent foray involving the group of strange warriors that he had just ran into in the desert.
His master had always told him that there were some immensely strong martial artists out there, but he just couldn't comprehend how strong they could be until he ran into a group of them. His victory in the Junior World's Martial Arts tourney meant NOTHING. The real achievement would be gaining the ability to stand toe to toe with the great fighters like the ones he has encountered.
While ruminating on the battle and trying to subdue his embarrassment and the frustration that came along with it, he caught something interesting out of the corner of his eye. He slammed on the brakes and fish tailed into a complete stop. He slowly reversed backwards to a suspicious cactus. Oddly enough, there was a sign attached to it. "Eat like a king, aye?" he thought to himself. Free, check. Food, check. Now that's a prospect that the Big Train could never turn down.
An arrow on the sign pointed out deeper into the desert and Big Train revved up and rolled out find this "Oasis Pavilion". Upon arrival he would stop, frightening close to the table, and then fly off of his bike in a forward lunge directed at the food. And he would attack that food like a starved wild boar. It's not until downing a substantial amount of food that he would notice the other two holding onto a singular sweet roll. "Oh hey guys" he would say with a big dumb smile, smeared with food. He'd give a friendly wave as well, "Pretty dope food, huh?".

"I dunno, Mr. Earther." Taro's voice meandered as she kept her grip on the roll, tugging ever so slightly back, careful not to destroy the delicious sweet. The cream cheese wiggled slightly under the invisible strain of both their grips. Taro was careful not to tear or damage the roll--a delicate balance considering her strength. After all, She hadn't had a meal all day, and the thought of biting into the fluffy sweet roll made her mouth water. She nervously clasped her other hand behind her head, keeping a goofy grin plastered to her face. font "I think we grabbed it at the same time, and the sign said the food was free."
Another fellow joined the party. This guy was a human fighter, by the looks of it. At least this one knew how to say a proper hello. Taro waved with her free hand, greeting the new arrival, "I wouldn't know how the food is yet, I haven't had any!" She called across the party, which was getting busier by the moment, with all sorts of folk now entering to feast and be merry. Unperturbed, Taro continued yelling towards the new arrival, "My name's Taro! It's good to meet 'cha!"
Taro turned back to face the rather annoyed Zoan that clutched the roll opposite her. Her eyes beamed with a mixture of optimism or naiveté. Surely no one would break into a fight over a simple sweet roll. There had to be a middle ground. In either case, Taro was blissfully unaware of Happos' growing frustration. Taro's carefree smile returned as she thought of a brilliant compromise, "Tell you what Mr. Zoan. Why don't we split the roll, and you can introduce yourself while we eat it together!"

A vein on Happos head would bulge out in frustration, before he would stretch back his shoulders and force himself to calm down a bit.
"You think I would let such a delicious treat go to waste!" he'd shout before slamming his other fist down on the table, causing the food around them to bounce.
He would then stretch out again, "Fine, we can share this roll, but only if you promise not to eat it when I let go." he'd say hesitantly.
It wasn't his best work anyway, the roll was put together more sloppily than usual, so it didn't matter that he would share it, as the Saiyan would not know the true power of Happos culinary skill. This was only something he threw together last minute, but it wouldn't seem that way, as the food was still incredible.
Happos would then glare over to the other human. "I guess I have not introduced myself yet, I am Happos." he'd pause, the vein on his head puffing out again, "And don't call me Mr.Zo-!" he'd stop himself, before tapping himself on the leg.
"Enjoy the food that has been put out, and feel free to treat yourself to anything."
Happos felt that the Saiyan may have been right too, about the food being free, so he would keep to his word and share it. This event however put a small chip on his shoulder, which would lead to a bit more caution in his body and his stance.

(I'm not sure if it's my turn or not, so forgive me if it isn't)
Big Train would continue to consume food at inhuman levels. While doing so, he would watch as the two interesting characters would almost break out into a brawl over a sweet roll. Big Train loved food, especially sweet rolls. But dang, that's excessive even for him. At least they seem to be coming to a peaceful agree. Which isn't too surprising, they seemed like good enough folk. And good folk share with other good folk. But regardless he would introduce himself, "The name is Big Train, it's nice to meet you guys". He paused from stuffing his face, briefly, "So this was all your doing, Happos? This is some good ass food, man! Just when I needed it most too".
Which was no lie, he had a lot of recharging to do after using every last drop of his energy in his desert battle. The wound on his forehead had stopped bleeding, but it was still quite visible. He wouldn't forget that snake lady's lesson, he still had a LONG way to go as a martial artist. But he would get there, or die trying. But for now he just wanted to eat some good ass food, rest a bit, and make some new friends. Tomorrow is when he would get back to training now that he had an even higher goal to strive towards.

(You're good big train, it was your turn ) "You have yourself a deal, Mr. Happos!" Taro agreed with Happos. She could restrain herself long enough for him to split the sweet roll in half. She was glad this conflict didn't have to come down to something very serious: Like a game of rock-paper-scissors. She could c ompletely resist the temptation to eat he delicious, fluffy, sugar-coated, sweet-puff topped with supple cream cheese. Taro's stomach audibly grumbled. But no! She could be strong! She didn't want to give the wrong impression, and she believed she could face her hunger like any other opponent! If there was one thing Taro could do, it was to stand determined in the face of danger, to flaunt her stoic resolve to get better and improve, no matter what the challenge! To try and take her thoughts off the tempting sweet treat, Taro talked to Big Train while she waited for Happos to let go already and split the roll. "Your Earthling names are weird, Big Train." She observed, curios as to the strange man's attire, "Are you some sort of fighter or somethin'?"

Happos would release the sweet roll, setting it down. After doing so he would take a thin blade, and divide the roll into two pieces. In doing so, he would make his side of the roll only slightly larger to hold his upper hand in the scenario.
After dividing the roll, he would say a quick "Enjoy it while it lasts," before shoving it into his mouth and slowly chewing it.
The roll was a burst of flavor, it was so sweet, but dotted with subtle hints of spices. The bread was the perfect balance of firmness, but was still gooey enough to cover your tongue and wrap it in a blanket of dough. Then there the frosting, it was a punch of sweetness engulfed with the classic dairy flavor found in light cheeses.
The flavor felt like it had been inside of his mouth for an eternity, but the journey had also ended so quickly. It had been a flavor joyride, and through it, it brought memories of when he was younger, traveling the desert and pawning off exotic spice to people from the mainlands. The sweet roll was a memory reformed into a delicious desert, it could not be anticipated such a small delicate roll would bring such excitement.
As Happos stood there, swallowing the final bits of it with his eyes shut in a trance like state, he would finally take the smooth dough down his throat, lick his lips to gather the leftover crumbs of the roll, then slowly proceed to open his eyes back to the reality he was in. Even though Taro was someone who had bothered him a tad earlier, he couldn't wait to see the reaction that she would give off when she took in the delicious treat. He then would look over to Big Train to see what he was speaking of.
"I guess were in the same boat, I just returned from a long venture myself," he'd then plop down into a chair and make himself comfortable, "Where do you come from?"

Taro’s question caught him off guard, of course Big Train was a fighter. He, in fact, the future martial arts world champion. "I'm the best fighter you'll ever meet" he flashes Taro a thumbs up before throwing some more food down his gullet. He knew that he was not the literal best, but his ideal is that he will keep improving, thus eventually becoming the best. Therefore he WAS the best, just not yet. But then the question from Happos caught him off guard, where was he from? He had drifted from orphanage to orphanage for most of his childhood. Most of which were in rural villages or small towns at best.
At least that was before Master Bai took him in and trained him. But wait, Happos isn’t asking Carnitos… he’s asking Big Train. But where would Big Train be from? He stood there in a stupor for a moment. But then it just came to him, “I was born and raise in the Diablo Desert, baby! I grew up by myself, fending off all of the wild beasts in the desert. That is until I decided I needed a bigger challenge and conquered the Junior World Martial Arts tournament! Now I'm on my journey to becoming the best martial artist that ever lived” and he’d top that story off with a peace sign and a big cheesy smile. “Awesome” he thought to himself. Though he didn’t much like lying… but he had to embrace his new persona. But in hopes of deflecting the questions from himself, he really didn’t like lying, he would ask, “Where are you guys from?”.

Taro gleefully chomped into her half of the sweet roll. The flavor bursted in her mouth. Unlike other Earth foods, which tasted exquisite. This one was a work of art. Each flavor and texture dovetailed to tell a story, hinting at memories that were not entirely her own. This food was an experience. The half-a-sweet roll was surprisingly filling too, and hit the spot, as the Earthlings would say. She definitely would try to remain friends with Happos, even if it was just for the delicious food.
"Thanks for the food!" Taro said with her mouth still full, a bit of cream cheese flecked out onto the table through her satisfied grin. She continued to enjoy morsel while Big Train and Happos shared where they were from. She was only half listening as she finished the roll before grabbing the next item of food and wolfing it down. The pair's questions interrupted her meal. She was impressed by Big Train's origins. He was so rough-and-tumble. Even though he was from Earth, that's the kind of harsh upbringing a saiyan might expect. Well, minus the planet-clearing parts.
"Where do you guys come from?"
Taro stopped, at first puzzled as why Big Train thought she was a guy, but then because of the question he asked. She froze mid-bite, before slowly swallowing. Her eyes widened. Sharing stuff like hadn't always gone over well with the Earthlings in the past. Taro slowly put her bowl down before smiling nervously, "Well, don't take this the wrong way," She said, nervously keeping her composure. She didn't want to be kicked out, especially since such delicious food was around, "but I'm all the way from planet Vegeta!"

Happos would tap his lengthy cat nail against the table, exchanging glares with both of the people who were attending.
"Planet Vegeta, huh? Haven't heard that name in a long time." he'd state curiously, glaring over to the woman in an attentive manner.
Happos would then proceed to get up from his chair, picked up a new silver plate and walked over to a fish platter, gradually collecting various items from it and plopping them onto the plate he was holding. Then, every now and again he would use his nail as a skewer taking smaller pieces of fish and resting it inside his mouth.
Happos did this all in a very calm manner, but it would seem as he was constantly tensed up. He'd work his way around the table for a minute or so before rolling back around to Big Trains question that he was asking to the group.
"This desert," he'd respond, before resting himself back into the same chair he was in, and leaning his arms back, "You say you like to fight? What makes you different than all the other aspiring martial artists out there?" he'd continue, in an almost mocking manner.
After stating this he would start taking down the fish on his plate quickly but delicately. As he did this, with each bite against the fish, he would grade his own cooking to pick up what he could do better next time.

Big Train is keeping the food train running, stuffing his face only to freeze at the mention of Planet Vegeta. He nods his head, as if mentally agreeing with a hunch. Quickly, he would continue to gorge himself, speaking between mouth fulls, "You must be a great warrior then". It's at this point it would be obvious that the man loves his red meats. Targeting the finest beef first of all. Oh, and sweets. He would attack those diligently as well. Granted that there were some outside of the sweet roll. That's when Happos' question hit him, he didn't know how to answer and still seem cool. So he just decided to tell the truth. "Because martial arts saved my life, hah. It was a way for me to escape life in the orphan-desert, life in the desert... Martial Arts helped me overcome the biggest obstacles in my life. It helped me be comfortable with the person I am. And as thanks, I'm going to master every style. And I'm going to be the best!" he says as he flashes a big smirk. "How about you Mr. Happos, are you a martial artist? Taro obviously is with those boots on hers" he says with a hearty chuckle as he lays down another empty plate.
