18797 at time of start of flashback thread
Callion stared as the man prepared a sphere of energy, his hand inching toward his blade in an instinctual act of self defense. He wrestled his instincts away, forcing his hand back to his side, though his mental struggle ceased when the older man created a green flame. The very sight of it, completely absorbed all of Callion’s attention. It was such a foreign site to him, yet it looked so beautiful.
The old man’s monologue fell on attentive ears, though Callion’s eyes followed the flame only, his pupils widening as the orb was handed to him. His mind immediately filled with worry, which in turned caused the flame to begin to disperse, but some other feeling filled his mind that he couldn’t quite identify. That feeling caused the flame to disperse completely as his focus was divided. Sadness took his features, as the old man gave his piece about keeping this planet safe, which Callion understood.
Callion would watch as the old fellow hopped up and took his place above the young Saiyan before marking certain areas in the clearing. Callion understood very clearly what he had to do, but he had almost no confidence that he would be capable of doing it. A deep sigh emerged from Callion’s mouth as he took a seat on the soft earth of the forest ground. He crossed his legs and closed his eyes, trying to meditate on this new development.
Just trying to recreate the orb would be a waste of time. He understood that he needed to truly understand the method behind creating it, and Callion had a hunch that that would require some deep reflection.
His mind cleared itself of all distractions as he tried to recall the sensation of holding the orb. Callion recalled staring at the flame, being transfixed by its beauty, then the rush of worry as he was afraid that… that he wasn’t worthy of holding on to it. That much like everything else in his life up till now, he would ruin it. Then Callion recalled that other foreign sensation that he had felt, in the back of his mind. He couldn’t quite place it then, but it had took a more defined shape this time.
It was ambition, a tugging in his gut that told him to try and master this technique. He had never felt something like this before. Not on Vegeta, or on that hellish planet. Not from the instructor at his training academy, or from his father’s rigorous sword practice. Callion was puzzled. What drove this drive? The answer came into view. Earth. The planet he had made his home. If this technique could assist him in both keeping the planet safe and preserving its life, Callion would master it in no time!
Callion took another deep sigh, as he willed the Ki to flow from his hands and to converge in the center. Callion filled his mind with memories of his time spent walking through this forest that he loved. The trees, the gentle breeze that flew through his hair, the bamboo stalks, and the beautiful grass that reflected sunlight in just the right way.
Opening his eyes, Callion gasped in happy surprise as it seemed he had succeeded, albeit his orb was a bit smaller than Ayumu’s, but progress was progress. Looking up to one of Ayumu’s markers, Callion willed the orb toward the patch of ground it pointed to, aiming for the center. The result was a beautiful burst of green flame that restored the grass and plants in that area. Callion shot up into a standing position.
“I did it!” he exclaimed, grinning a bit childishly.

You know, Ayumu looks back to the past as he feels the soft beat of his heart within this torso of his. Ayumu had always followed his dreams like a real man, always doing his complete best to stick to his guns and vary up what he knew with some improvised details to let people succeed with some perversion added in the mix for some cheap laughs. Letting his eyes slowly sink to the horizon as he took a deep breath, feeling the soft roots of a creature far gone beat along with his heart. Every pulse bringing life into his body as it kept him going, as it forced him to carry this heavy body to the future, to let others see what it was like to not get knocked down by life willy nilly.
Yet there it was, that dream drop that caused the pool to slowly overflow. An saiyan with his pride, with his dreams, they were known to be a race of ravaging and destruction, it was nothing short of a true disaster to give them every secret of power with no way to keep them in check. There was even less of a chance to make certain they would behave themselves upon reaching the mythical levels of super saiyan or even beyond it. But seeing this saiyan before his eyes ascend to the ranks of people who would protect the land, keep it safe and allow them to make certain that nothing would happen to it? Tears would slowly crawl from the sides of his eyes as he started smiling widely, slamming his hands together and whistling at the people within the cart to get some drinks... It was a beautifull day that he had managed to do something like this as he should surely train to master this feeling, this power and emotion. Creating a catalyst to a saiyan who protects not only earth but also every being on it!
-You may make the piece of "remeeting" the old fart, if you wish too. The last bits will probably just involve partying with ayumu till you drop, then seperating and you can then meet him back at the same spot during the now time, cooking in his stall-

A swell of joy filled Callion's chest as the man and his associates cheered him, though the joy quickly faded away as he realized there was still more he needed to do. He had only scraped the surface of this technique, He wasn't even sure if he was capable of performing it again! As the man called for a celebration, Callion quickly jogged over to him, calling out to him.
"Mister!" Callion exclaimed, hoping to catch the man's attention. It was then that Callion had never learned the fellow's name, but hopefully, that could come later. He had important things he wanted to get done, that took priority over friendly introductions. Such as making this technique his own.
Callion gave the man a low bow, and said in a plain voice, "I am very sorry, but I can not join you all in your pleasantries as I would like to explore this technique more. I apologize once again. I hope we may meet again later, and with progress for me to present you with."
With that, Callion straightened his back and proceeded toward a line of bamboo stalks, disappearing from view with a rustle of the tall stalks. Once Callion had reached a sufficiently sized clearing, he would sit down, crossing his legs and closing his eyes. The young warrior would hold his hands in front of his chest, a few inch from each other. He tried to recapture that same feeling he had felt earlier when he had successfully used the technique. The sense of desire to preserve the land around him, and the appreciation for just how beautiful that land was. The sounds of gentle breezes and rustling stalks of bamboo filled Callion's ears, before the young warrior's chest swelled with some unknown energy.
Opening his eyes, a smile came over his face as he saw the familiar green flame flickering between his tanned hands. With a gentle push forward with both hands, the flame flew forward, and struck a wilting flower, causing it to return to its former beauty and vitality. Smiling, Callion closed his eyes yet again.
A few months later...
Callion approached the old man with a smile on his face.
"Mister! I think I have got it down! Observe," Callion said, sounding excited. He raised a hand, palm facing skywards, and closed his eyes. A moment later a green flame, similar in size to the one the old man had crafted earlier formed in his single hand. Opening his eyes again, Callion would continue the conversation.
"Thank you for teaching me this technique Mister..." Callion faltered as his brow furrowed in concern. "I am sorry, but I do not think I have ever heard your name. As a matter of fact, I do not think I have ever given you mine. I am Callion. Nice to meet you!"

While Ayumu sat there, simply minding his own business while cooking slowly as a cinnamon stick was stuck between his lips, slowly letting the meat hit the flames as his stomach growled lightly with no shame, some people sleeping in the back of the vehicle before then slowly raising his eyebrows at the figure approuching, the flames within his torso slowly burning brighter and brighter as joy became visible on his face along with shock before the cinnamon stick nearly fell out to hit the flat stone he used as a improvised cooking station with his fingers having caught it barely in time. "Callion was it? Callion! Callion, it has been such a while, after that night i had not noticed you going away and i was worried sickly!" Starting to take of his cooking apron showing that old and rather clean wife beater on his torso along with a christmas hat that decorated the top of his head. Using a rather strong kick against the ground to flip over the cooking plate instead of walking around it, a rather weird choice on its own before he used the momentum to stumble forwards upon landing and reach out both his arms. "Ayumu, call me Ayumu, although i have a few people in the building behind me i must say that i am utterly shocked that life has been so well to you, more muscles, a finer colouration, you really had a healthy life didn't you? Keep going at it like that!" before a small dog started to make its way out of a nearby stall that was hidden between some wild life, softly letting out a few barks as Ayumu lifted the small creature up and took one of the already done pieces of meat to feed it to the little bugger. Offering you a plate of steaming hot Reptile steak that was still sizzling in its own fat on the bottom of the plate with a fine salad dressing used as a bed for the meat itself. "Enjoy yourself, its better if we have a short conversation about what happened to either of us and make sure that we do not forget to note anything, because only the slighest miscommunication and things can cascade out of controll you know?" letting the small animal bark softly, it was a soft tone that seemingly resembled the mythical bork of the puppy genus, but the small bugger was happily making its way around you, running energetically after having had its morning snack and waking up from the rather nice burst of flavours before seeing ayumu his finger pointing at the ground, taking the cue to sit down on the ground before then happily panting lightly, as Ayumu simply chuckled "That little bugger has grown way better than we have expected, but still, can you tell us what you have done these last few months when we have been seperated Callion? i really missed you, we could have had some good training sessions together."

Callion blinked a bit in confusion. He accepted the meat and looked down at the strange creature at his feet before looking back to the old man.
"What do you mean Mister Ayumu?" Callion asked, taking care to pronounce the man's name perfectly.
"I was only gone for a few hours at most," the young warrior said, looking confused before he suddenly looked at the area around him. There were flowers bloomed that weren't the last time he had spoken with Ayumu, and the weather was a bit warmer than before.
"How long have I been-" Callion began to ask before his eyes widened in realization. The weather, Ayumu's confusion, that strange gap in time that he hadn't noticed. He must've been so absorbed in his training that he hadn't noticed how far time had flown.
Cracking a grin, Callion slowly began to laugh. Eventually, the laughter grew in volume and intensity until a cacophonous could be heard throughout the forest. Callion clutched his sides in pain as the laughter started to hurt a bit as it grew louder and louder. The laughter was smooth and pleasant. The laughter would subside eventually, leaving Callion panting with that same grin on his face.
"Sorry, I just... wow... I got really absorbed in my practice for this technique." Callion said apologetically.
Father would be proud.
Callion gave Ayumu a low bow, and while he was bent down, would pet the strange creature on the head. Once he straightened himself, he would ask the old man how he had fared in the past few months.
"I guess I have spent these last few months trying to get this technique perfect. What have you been doing, Mister Ayumu?"
While the old man answered Callion would begin biting into the meat. It tasted delicious like most meats did to the young warrior.

Seeing you enjoy the meat, Ayumu took his time to simply let the young man enjoy his meal before then letting a rather firm cough attempt to draw the attention away from the meal. “Training for months... fascinating, it seems that the entire time you have been training here, in this spot in between the moments you fed yourself?” the creature that was being patted, the pupper simply enjoying the soft hand while licking it thoroughly. Refusing to let go of the hand while starting to even play bite, something that would be less than a tickle to the warriors of our caliber, apart from Ayumu who still fears his bite. Taking an interested look at all these materials and flowers that were starting to flourish in this area and why it already looked akin to an unnaturally beautiful area, he would start to shake his head lightly, seeing through the rather thick snow. Starting to concentrate rather lightly before then an small set of seeds from his pocket started to sprout, tossing them around with a rather content look “Keep this place safe, it is not an place others would like to see as the wood is great, the ground is fantastic, its prime real estate, keep it absolutely safe okay?”. That was all he really wanted to say of importance before then starting to take a quick look up and down on the saiyan before his very eyes before smiling rather kindly and nodding firmly twice. Having felt an strange kind of affection for all of his students akin to children, Ayumu had always had the habit of drowning himself in methods of training people to make sure that they would spend their time wisely on these planets. Every person that he knew that would meet an end was another knife put to his own neck as he would feel pain with every beat of his heart when those dark thoughts flowed out, but shaking them away he then asked “Are you able to fire a few projectiles into the air for me? Let us see if you can fire them without creating holes that are too big in the clouds above.”

Callion listened to the old man with rapt attention as he felt a tingle on his palm. Looking down, Callion spotted the small creature biting at his hand, though the small mammal's teeth could hardly pierce his trained skin.
As the old man pleaded with him to keep the area around them safe, Callion nodded solemnly., and reached out to put a hand on the man's strong shoulder. Callion's grip was light but firm.
"Of course, Mister Ayumu. I love this planet, and this area the most. I won't ever let anything bad happen to it. You have my word."
With that, Callion opened his mouth wide, and ate the remainder of the steak in one bite, even crunching any bone that was still attached to the meat into tiny swallowable chunks. He licked the rest of the dressing off of the plate, leaving the plate as clean as when Ayumu first took it out from wherever he retrieved it from.
Callion looked up from his licking as the old man requested him to try and fire at the clouds above without making any holes in them. A fire would seem to burn in Callion's eyes.
A new challenge.
Placing the plate onto the soft snowy ground, Callion looked upward at the massive gray clouds and smirked. A white aura would flare around him, as he rocketed off of the ground and toward the sky!
As Callion ascended, he looked toward one large cloud, in particular, the thing four times the size of the young warrior himself. Reaching an area about a foot away from it, Callion's nostrils filled with the scent of ozone that permeated the air at this altitude. Reaching forward, Callion would stick a hand into the cloud. The young warrior's eyes widened as he felt the thick moisture in the clouds, and he quickly pulled his now soaked hand out. Shaking off some of the water, Callion would put his dry left hand to his chin, and float in front of the cloud thinking carefully.
Then Callion shut his eyes in deep concentration before he opened them and raised his wet hand to the cloud, palm out. A ball fo red energy would slowly form in his hand, before he let out a little shout, sending the orb forward. Then, the ball slowly moved forward at about an inch a second. Callion grinned, as he began to descend back down to the ground.
Landing in front of Ayumu and the strange creature, Callion would give the old man a happy grin.
"I did it!" Callion said, as the ball of energy up above slowly sank into the cloud. It went in without making any sort of indentation, and would eventually emerge from the other side with no proof that it had passed through the cloud whatsoever.

Ayumu simply stared up to the clouds, the small little gap created as he had a look of amazement at first but then utter shock as his eyebrows simply raised upwards without holding themselves back at all. Staring up onto the sky for a few frozen moments before dropping his jaw to the floor as he nearly fainted. It was amazing and at the same time shocking how he managed to defy nearly all laws of physics as he smashed through that roof of clouds with near impossible skill before then pushing himself of the ground, raising his left arm and pointing upwards with trembling shock “How... How did you... That should have been impossible!?” Ayumu spoke. It was not in a tone that should have been heard from such a long distance but he still considered it yelling before slowly concentrating on calming himself down and letting an violent coughing fit interrupt his thinking. “okay, Calm down Ayumu... do not let Hana know you were thrown off this badly...” Before starting to take to the skies, making an rather royal set of holes in the masses of clouds that were above him mere moments before impact as a smile crossed his face. This was a jewel, an uncut jewel of untold possibilities, Ayumu could carve this up into a thousand figures and it would still be an beautiful gem with untold possibilities! This was not a chance he would let go as with a bit of support from condensing the air around his mouth to form a megaphone's cylinder shape, his voice boomed out. “Hey! Great job, nearly an impossible job! I have to agree that what you are doing is far beyond what any normal warrior can do but do not let it rise to your head! Come down a few hundred meters so we can converse normally please?” He requested, hoping that this man would abide to this simple question.
(Sorry for how long that took, life is evil xD)

Callion's feet thudded to the ground, and upon noting the man's shocked reaction, the young warrior's expression went from one of joy to one of worry. He must've done it wrong. But then! Hope! The old man had begun to smile and say he had done an impossibly great job! Callion beamed with pride.
"Thank you, Mister Ayumu," Callion said folding his hands in front of himself and giving the man a bow. Once he had finished bowing, he would say "What other tests do you have for me?" Callion waited in anticipation for the old man's answer.

As the person before his very eyes stated that he wanted more tests, a sense of surprise came over himself, Ayumu knew that this man before him was already messing with the laws of many scientists their efforts. The generations of warriors who had spend their time training, even those before them, going back up to a few thousand years before his mind snapped back in action with a small rock materializing in his palm. “You are simply going to try and use your ki to awaken a small seed that i will put within this rock, That is all i am asking of you. Make it grow, develop it and slowly bring out its potential without overexerting its energy, killing it off.” Manipulating his own energy, he hid the fact that the rocks were not just made to mimic them, they were caskets of Ayumu his own energy surrounding a single seed, almost like a protective membrane that if Callion wanted to ascend beyond what he has gotten too, had to penetrate and slowly grow through unless he wanted the rock to blow up from the conflicting energies. It was to make him learn how to adjust his flow of energy to fit in every puzzle and gap, to train his flexibility, but would he again proceed to succeed within one try?

Callion bowed low to the old man. He understood his instructions clearly and saw the hidden meaning in this lesson. Callion took the rock in his hand and shut his eyes. He turned his tanned palm face up, the small gray rock sitting in the center of it. The young warrior slowly visualized his energy as a stream of red water, and his nervous system the multiple channels that the water could flow through. Whenever he utilized his laser eyes, he focused the water through his eyeballs, and the water rushed rapidly, pouring out with a lot of force. Now, however, the young warrior needed to channel the energy differently. Callion pictured the red stream flowing into the center of his palm, not rushing rapidly, but slowly, gently caressing the rock from below. Slowly, the seed from within the rock began to bloom, its plant growing strong from the copious amounts of energy, and easily breaking through the stone gray prison it was trapped in. Once a few moments had passed, a small green vine would poke through the stone, and several more would follow after. Callion opened his black eyes and smiled serenely. The young warrior held out the vine-covered rock to the old man while saying in a quiet voice, "What shall be next, Mister Ayumu?"Nostalgic Ayumu

As Callion opened his eyes, everything was suddenly dark, Ayumu having used the influence from interacting at a close near telepathic level with Callion to slip in some strands of energy. They were painful and at the same time, Ayumu would be standing there, smiling as the dark figures stood everywhere, slowly smiling as they surrounded them. Fifty? Hundred? The count of them was fuzzy and in the least there were too many to be trying to feel safe about taking them all on at the same time, But what ayumu said implied something else from their appearances "Manifestations of energy, the energies that lay dormant in this area have taken an personality and are waiting restlessly to know what will happen. They are looking towards your progress while supporting you, as somebody who is protecting this planet, they are always there to supply you with energy..." a small particle of light starting to spread from one of the dark figures as it lit up into a brilliant red colour before vanishing into the sky. "One grudge taken care of as you made an old plant grow that belonged to this soul, they all had simple dreams, simple desires to do something but they were taken away. Right now there are six left which we can take care of and teach more about. I hope you can guess what i mean with that, i am planning to make you figure out a solution to help make these six manifestations feel content with your progress and pass on to wherever they go." Taking out a small bottle of water and placing it down on the ground along with a small bead that did not seem like a seed at all. Yet at the same time... It did feel like one, crying out to be grown... "Consume the seed and we shall continue, but be warned, if you lose control you may die."

Callion's head swung around wildly when the darkness entered his vision. His eyebrows furrowed in surprise at first, but then pain as his head began to ache from an unseen pain. As Callion's pain filled vision began to clear a bit, he spotted all of the figures and clenched his fists. The Saiyan looked to the smiling Ayumu and began to assume what was going on. Perhaps this is an impostor of Mister Ayumu, who was setting up this elaborate ambush! The real Mister Ayumu would not discomfort me so!But the truth of the matter was revealed as Ayumu explained what these spectre-like figures were and their purpose. The Saiyan slowly nodded through the pain and watched as the particle of light released one of the souls. Once Ayumu explained that Callion was to free the remaining six solutions, but neglected to tell him how to do so, Callion gave him a determined nod. His head was still throbbing, but there was work to be done! Callion took the seed quickly and placed it onto his tongue with no hesitation, and uncapped the water drinking the water, and washing down the seed! For a moment, Callion felt nothing, but suddenly a pain formed in his stomach, forcing the young warrior to his hands and knees. Silently writhing in pain, Callion's energy flared! No. I will not fall like this. Mister Ayumu believes in me, and there is much more for me to do!Callion slowly forced the pain away, his will overpowering his agony! The young warrior slowly, made his way to his feet, shaking a bit, and looking up at Ayumu. "What is next, Mister Ayumu?" was all that Callion asked, before he suddenly fell onto his back, and began to pant from exhaustion. It seemed that the seed was the straw that broke the camel's back. He had consumed a lot of energy and was more exhausted than he was willing to admit. Nostalgic Ayumu
