Things had not gone well for Denim on Namek so far upon returning to the planet. She ended up encountering not only Polara but two Namekians as well along with another surprising person. This person was almost impossible for her to conceive, even though she literally was, claiming that they (despite being clearly some form of Saiyan hybrid in appearance) were in fact her daughter from the future. She was pretty sure the other two had thought it odd too and hadn't taken it well, however, it was such an embarrassing experience that after interacting with them a bit she became convinced that she needed to leave, especially since one of them really wasn't liking her presence there so much.
Anyway, this caused her to retreat to her ship with the young lady where she then stopped her and demanded a full explanation. This woman named Silk repeated the same fact that she was her daughter from the future yet added that in the future she came into existence under the flag of the Arcosian Empire. She was one of their soldiers alongside her mother and in this future they kept peace in somewhat brutal ways. Denim wasn't really fully convinced of this until the woman mentioned Polara was like an aunt to her, vividly described being shot in the leg on Earth by Denim when she went their to visit it as a kid, and started spewing out impossible to know facts from Denim's own life. These included: the existence of Plaid whom she had told relatively few people, the fact that Denim was having an alien child (which only Polara and her parents currently knew), and just for fun she took to listing her Denim's height, weight, and clothing sizes just for fun. Then she comparatively listed her own to the lilac woman's shock. This girl clearly had no morals as expected of a Saiyan.
It was enough though to convince her that this "Silk" was in fact her daughter. Yet to truly feel convinced of this she took her into her ship, made her swab for DNA and tested it with her ship's computers. The match was astonishingly close to her own! Denim could only reel back from this information and wondered how she may have joined the Arcosian Empire in order to birth a daughter like this. She felt grateful to Polara and she had wanted to join them yet she still was a tiny bit unsure if she should since she was certain Polara wanted her to go through tests. These tests were not something she had yet given he and it frustrated her since she thought today might be the day to do so.
Instead, she got this problem. So with that she figured since she couldn't go back to Earth yet nor stay on Namek she decided to drag this young Saiyaness along. Even though she wore sporty clothes, acted like a bit of ditz, and clearly was convinced Denim was her mother Denim was far too in shock to accept this yet. If she was this happy feeling all the time she thought, "Then why even come back to the past?" Thinking about it hurt though since her mind only ran in circles on the issue causing her to need to retreat to seclusion.
Once on the ship with her "daughter" in tow she plugged in the star system for Planet Konats, a place she had only briefly visited, and decided to head there to think about this and pick up something she'd forgotten there. It was a black dress she left there that she wore to the dinner party she was initially invited to. That invitation had been the start of all her troubles in her life so it was only right she go there to see how King Plato was doing and pick it up. She only hoped the dull king didn't greet her in a long winded manner. She thought of him as someone who she couldn't stand listening to very long.
While blasting off the planet she told Silk, "You can have run of the ship. Just don't touch any buttons in the command deck area though." Silk understood and immediately saluted her before running off to practice "kicks". Denim then sauntered over to her rejuvenation chamber and stepped inside the open door. She needed sleep because of all that had happened and found that with Silk's arrival and tale her baby's contractions were suddenly increasing. "If this girl stresses me out anymore I think I'm going to-" She had to pause though in her words for her body's stress limits were already being way overshot. Enough so that she actually began to have another strong contraction before finally relaxing and sliding into the chamber's resting pod.
The ship sailed through space and during it Denim's body prepared for a rather early, premature birth. She'd wake up halfway through a four hour nap inside her pod only to feel her water break. The sensation was rather surprising since her body was surrounded in healing liquids. Denim mentally groaned with her eyes wide open and unable to call for help. The reason being her chamber was sound proof. She pushed herself extremely hard though and after four hours of labor inside the pool of reviving liquid managed to climb out with her child in hand. She was lucky she nor the had suffocated but that was only because she had strong muscles to carry her through the labor and was in a highly oxygenated, nutrient filled bath.
She held her soaking body and quickly ran to get a towel from her room to cover herself and her newborn daughter. Along the way back Silk who had been training throughout this time saw her walk out of her room and eyed her with shock. "You're-you are already done with your pregnancy? You have your kid in space you know, but not like this!" Silk ran over to Denim and looked down at Denim's chest which helped cradle newborn Silk in Denim's arms. This little Silk was a surprisingly not little despite being born two months early. She weighed about eight pounds and looked to be 19 inches long. A gray tuft of air also covered her head.
"Can I hold her?" Silk asked in excitement.
Denim shook her head no. After all, she had no clue what future Silk's interaction with her present self was going to do. On top of that Denim was tired just holding the child and immediately went to her usual red chair to look out her space ship's window.
Silk pouted and so she sat across from Denim and stared her down as the woman twisted around in the chair and glared at her. Despite being mother and daughter the two were already at odds. "I was born you know much smaller then that. And it was at full term too! This isn't how I remember you telling me it." Silk stated.
Denim didn't care. She said nothing about it because present Silk was clearly different from future Silk. Present Silk was quiet and familiar. This girl before her was loud and not familiar at all. Silk from the future crossed her arms and pouted, "I don't know what caused this but you should still be pregnant until we get to Konats like you were in my future, er my mother's past, no, my future mother's past story of me."
Denim groaned and for the rest of the trip stayed silent. Silk though from the future continued to prattle on about inconsistencies about future Denim's past compared to Present Denim's present situation. For starters, she mentioned Jacquette staying with her the whole time, and said she gave birth on Konats with King Plato's blessing. Then there was an agreement or something between Arcosians to run the place, since Denim became an Arcosian Empire member before this, and finally she and the rest of this planet joined up with uniting with the rest of the empire to legitimize themselves. Denim shook her head at the thought. There was no way Plato would go and take a risk with someone like the Arcosian Empire. The truth being that Future Denim did not land there but had Future Silk in the space above the planet. Then she later conquered it as a test for the Arcosian Empire.
Whether Plato was involved or not was hard to say. He may have been but that Future Denim had likely lied about that heavily to make herself seem nicer to her daughter in regards to her clearly evil planetary intentions. In this future this Denim who had a likely different past then present Denim was probably more evil. Yet that didn't matter to present Denim as Silk tried to rattle off her thoughts on this to an non-listening yet happy mother. Denim just wanted her to shut up eventually so that she could figure out what to do next with her new child, her future child, and the dress she hoped to get in a few more hours.
