THE COMPLEXITY OF LIFE
Jormungandr wandered aimlessly through the streets of West Capitol, having returned to the city after Capper came to. after the excitement had worn off, she considered her actions during the incident, and found herself shocked. Why had she formed such a strong bond with Capper so quickly? why had she formed such a strong bond at all? Throughout her existence, those around her had called her sadistic, a cold hearted killer, the most vile of beings, and she had refuted none of it, had in fact embraced those titles on many occasions. But when she had met Capper, she had immediately decided she liked the little engineer, and when Rafar had hurt him, she had been enraged. She had never had that reaction to someone being harmed in her entire life! But she had stayed to make sure the little saiyan was okay after the Hybrid and the other saiyan had left.
The Demoness was torn from her reverie as she bumped into a man who was looking at his cellphone. The impact caused him to stumble and drop his phone.... down a sewer grate. He groaned, then spun to face Jormungandr. "Why the hell didn't you watch where you were going?!" He fumed. "That phone cost me 100 Zenni!" Jormungandr rolled her eyes as she listened, and the man humphed, stomping away.
'A few weeks ago, I would've killed him the moment he opened his mouth.' the serpent mused, then sighed. what the hell was wrong with her?! 'I'm going soft...' she decided, shaking her head as she started walking again. She was Jormungandr, the sadistic, black hearted demonic servant! she shouldn't be thinking like this! but that assertion sounded ridiculous and arrogant to her, and this, too, surprised her. She had never considered herself arrogant. the thought that something she had done or said, or something she thought, seemed arrogant had never crossed her mind, not in all her two centuries of life! she scowled; this was ridiculous! she knew who she was, and she that whoever got in her way was dead. but the thoughts wouldn't go away. she came to a bus stop, and sat down on a nearby bench, silently gazing into the distance as people came and went. She didn't notice them; she was too busy thinking. She thought about Capper, about the Hybrid, about That Saiyan. She thought about everything that had happened after her arrival on earth. She considered how she had felt when she first came to West Capitol, and realized she had been lonely. The weeks of isolation had not been without consequence, and she had been desperate for social interaction, though she hadn't been aware of it, inexperienced as she was with such emotions. 'That must be it.' she reasoned. she had been going crazy from being by herself for so long, and Capper had been someone who was willing to talk to her without fighting, and with whom she had enjoyed talking. He had caught her at the perfect time, when she had truly desired to talk to someone, despite her cruel nature. But was she cruel by nature? If that had been true, why had she felt that rage and desperation when her new friend was hurt?
That was another thing she couldn't quite wrap her head around; she called Capper her friend. What exactly did that mean? she had spoken to many people who claimed to have friends, but she had never bothered to learn what a friend truly was. she frowned and looked back over her actions again. A friend was someone you cared about not just the life but the happiness of, someone who you'd protect almost no matter what happened, someone for whom you'd make incredible sacrifices. But a friend was also, from what she could tell, someone who would support you and give you aid without asking for, or even expecting, anything back. She smiled at the thought of having somone like that. Would Capper really do any of that for her? she shrugged. 'Well, I'd do it for him.' She decided. 'Now, what was I doing.....' She mused, looking around, then blinked as she realized where she was. She hadn't been fully conscious of her actions during her introspection, and thus had not been aware of sitting down on the bench. she shrugged and stood back up. She quickly reviewed her thoughts over the past half hour, and decided that, perhaps, this change wasn't such a bad thing.
(I'd like Zenni, please)
