The Ghosts of Eras Past 2 Current Power level: 127,185Heavy Weights ON: Thread Power level 31,796Air whipped violently against Noxa’s body, whistling and sending her hair into a flickering frenzy. She could see the ground rushing towards her. While nearing the ground Noxa made the wise choice, this time, to slow down. She fell to one knee not far from Celmaru and his wife. The crash was just enough to give a tiny array of cracks outward from where her knee touched down. She looked up, vaguely remembering a few of the instructions Celmaru.
“Sorry about that.” Noxa said to Celmaru and his wife. The woman, chuckling under her breath, gave a sincere apology. A hand reached up, scratching at the back of her head. “I am still a little weird with some aspects of ki control; I got a little carried away with a bit of my new strength.”
With that said Noxa took a deep breath. In through her nose; out through her mouth. The woman stood completely, taking a few steps back before leaping a good dozen feet away; Noxa didn’t want to shower the couple with the wasteland’s infertile soil.
“Okay! A-are you watching me, Celmaru? Phae? Y-you better! This is going to look awesome!” The woman then intertwined the talon-tipped fingers, the black metallic gauntlet was then brought far over her head as she stretched. There was a grunt as Noxa’s lithe form was given a little fresher.
“Aahh~” She exhaled — a sharp, eccentric one; it was like she was shoving the air out as to get started already.
“Right!” Noxa’s hands clenched; her elbows bent at a 45 degree angle; her stance was widened. There was a warm glow that formed around Noxa’s form. A warm, gentle crimson flame licked at the contour of her body; little wisps of steam began to rise from a fear nooks and crannies in her chitin.
Then and there her power level tripled. The woman’s teeth gritted and she felt herself forcibly shoving her Ki through her muscular system. Suddenly, Noxa’s upper body bulked; her thighs widened; her calves grew. With her increase in form there also came yet another massive burst in air pressure, sending a good amount of dust everywhere — the exact reason that she had moved away in the first place.
“T-this…!” Noxa groaned through a strained voice, “I-I is… A form I c-created to mimic Captain Nova!” There was a hard gulp coming from the woman. The woman’s 6’3” form was now enveloped in a rather vivid, spiking aura now; the gentle flame gone thanks to her new bulkier state.
“I have to say, this is the first time I ever actually used it… It’s…” Noxa winced as her newly defined abdomen seemed to twitch a little, “It’s a little much, but… I can see its uses.”
Her hands found themselves clasping at the sides of her generous hips, “Either way, this is about my power. I currently have my power inhibitors set to maximum, which is 75% of my power level. So what you’re seeing now is a quarter of my maximum power.” The woman clarified. With that said Noxa’s arms rose to just about shoulder level, her biceps suddenly bulged as Noxa began to flex her already Ro’Shi-sized figure.
“What else did you want me to do?” She asked, narrowing an eye as she attempted to recall what Celmaru’s exact orders were. “I powered up to max and I told you of any limitations… Oh — this might not mean much, but I always seem to be much more powerful in life or death situations. I think it might have something to do with my genetic legacy, but I wouldn’t really know.” Noxa shrugged. Celmaru had what he asked for; Noxa’s full glory laid bare for him to marvel at.
She hoped neither of them fell for her impressive bulking skill! That would make things really awkward during training.

Two pairs of lips would part as the Bio-Android immediately educated herself regarding her previous error...somehow. The hybrid would clear his throat as Noxa began to speak, her apology seemingly genuine in some manner. Despite what development Noxa did show as she spoke, Celmaru was further intrigued by how her Ki suddenly increased. It wasn't possible unless she wore a sort of training weights, or even learned of Ki Suppression. Neither seems likely, the weights' improbability for...obvious reasons.
"Oh my~, please show us, Noxa!"
"Hm?"
The hybrid's internal process of thoughts was whisked away alongside the copious clouds of dust. As Noxa's frame began to expand to nigh-unhealthy levels of muscularity, Celmaru only found a sort of disappointment. This wasn't exactly a transformation, much less an enhancement. It was a haphazard exertion of power brought upon hasty warriors with a desire for immediate power. The hybrid wouldn't deny his own failures with Ultra Super Saiyan, however Noxa was unaware of any sort of drawbacks from such an increase of mass. Slapping his palms together in a mere clapping motion, the hybrid began to step forward as the Bio-Android's aura flared outwards.
"Congratulations, you've learned how to mimic a fictional superhero. What kind of television did you steal? And on the note of such 'enhancements'..."
The hybrid's own mass began to expand, his aura bleaching itself into a pearly white as his power swelled alongside his muscle mass.
"See? Its not that difficult. Anyone can pull this off."
The comment regarding the Bio-Android's forcefully suppressed power was of no surprise, as most warriors did make use of some sort of weight. What caused great discomfort for the hybrid, unfortunately, was the visible lack of clothing that Noxa possessed. Yet, there was the mention of "power inhibitors"; the hybrid's form began to shrink as this thought bounced about. Meanwhile, the seaweed woman would float alongside the red-haired conglomeration of DNA, poking a swollen vein in a physical tease. Phae leaned inwards towards the Bio-Woman, a slight banter escaping her.
"My~, its as if you have a copious amount of my husband's forehead all over you~!"
"Hey! I'm still here!"
The seaweed woman would giggle in her success as Celmaru clicked at his tongue; a brief 'tsk' becoming audible as he turned away. Noxa's concluding comments, however, would spark a certain idea within the hybrid's mind. It was rather brash, perhaps even moronic...yet it may very well silently coerce Noxa to achieve an evolution. Walker had rather similar methods, yet this Bio-Android had none to be emotionally attached to, much less mentally or verbally affectionate. Perhaps a more directly threatening method would suffice. Clearing his throat, waving a dismissive palm, the hybrid spoke of the woman's unnecessarily bulked state.
"Don't make any use of that unless you desperately need an extra addition to your power. Its a waste of your time; Bulking sacrifices your maximum velocity for raw physical strength. If you're to be in any way efficient at combat, you'll need just as much of one as you would the other. Besides that...its sort of a waste of Ki."
"Oh, you'll do fine, Noxa~"
The two concluded their speech, Phae lightly patting Noxa upon her back. The seaweed woman would return to her place behind the hybrid, a soft grin tugging at her lips. As for now, Celmaru's facial expression was still rather harsh; glaring and obstinate in such a position. Exhaling rather prominently within his nostrils, the hybrid guided his left palm to rest atop his nape. Jerking his cranium to his left and right respectively, a multitude of pops and cracks were audible from within.
'If Ayumu heard that, he'd be a bit concerned, wouldn't he?'
"...Alright Noxa, come at me. Everything you got; instructor's orders. You, me, everything you can muster."
Dipping his chin to stare further upwards at Noxa, the hybrid strained himself to suppress himself. Suppressing his Ki without weights was a rather awkward sensation for him; it was immense under-performance, even a lacking exertion of ability. Of course, his entire body felt notably weaker and less proficient...it was nigh-infuriating. Containing such frustrations, Celmaru awaited the Bio-Android's first attempt.
Meanwhile, a brisk spark of electricity popped along the Bio-Woman's spine. It was only akin to an itch, yet it was abnormal; it was up for Noxa's interpretation...if she were to ever notice it. What Phae had done upon her light contact could severely affect this evaluation's outcome.
Finally got this done! I truly, oh so truly, apologize for the delay, @noxa! ;-;

With her 'No’va' skill active, the virago felt a surge of confidence; she felt larger than life. Of course, that little burst of morale was short lived. Her teacher had managed to poke and prod at her bubble until it burst. The beaming smirk that had been so prominently displayed on the girl's features found itself being nearly wiped clean with one of the first gestures her teacher made. Celmaru’s unenthused clapping acted as a hand patting down a flame — the latter being Noxa’s ego. His words, like water dousing the embers. Still, a little warmth remained; a surge of defiance made clear as Noxa nearly cut the hybrid off towards the end of his ridicule.
“Captain Nova is NOT fictional! He is real, too! I met him when I—” she trailed off, cutting herself off almost instantly. Sounding suspicious was not her intent, but it was an unquestionable byproduct. The woman simply didn’t want to admit she was involved with the mess that happened in Satan City’s downtown venues. “I saw him from a distance when that monster attacked Satan City! He was super nice, strong, and had awesome hair!” Despite just how emotionally invested Noxa seemed — a bit of a slight to any concept she was a nihilist —her voice wasn’t laced with ire. Irritation? Sure, albeit, in reality, the most obtrusive quality in her tone was that of uncertain petulance. In that way, she was much like a child whining about something against an adult, insisting they were correct regardless of any evidence to the contrary.
With the glare of the hybrid’s ivory aura, the woman cut herself off. Again. This time, it wasn’t to fix any misdirection in rhetoric, but simply to give scrutiny to a new facet her sensei exposed her to. There was a twinge of disappointment that plucked at Noxa’s heartstrings. Her mood further took a nosedive. Until now her understanding was that she had come up with a new idea — a technique that could mimic what she understood as a transformation Captain Nova had gone through. There was a light furrowing of her brow, Noxa’s inner eyebrows arched just a fraction upward. The sulking woman’s muscle mass deflated, reflecting just how she felt at that moment. Even the previous quip Phae tossed her way moments beforehand weren’t enough to lift her spirits.
Thanks to her ineptitude and warped perceptions once again having been made clear to her, Noxa found a thick veil of dismay settling down around her. It came down like a fog around her head — her own personal proverbial rain cloud. Noxa’s sulking gaze was fixed at Celmaru’s feet. Noxa, so overtaken by her personal failures, found his words drowned away. It was as though she was underwater, and her teacher atop a mount, calling down to her. Even the sweet seaweed woman’s words of encouragement entered in one ear and danced out the other — her friendly, encouraging tap going completely unnoticed. The only thing that captured her attention again was the popping and cracking of Celmaru’s neck. She looked up, almost in alarm; the sound of crunching joints was something Noxa was way, way too familiar with. In truth, her now wide-set eyes had been those of a wild predator, whose alertness was triggered through genetic memory. Between the countless, she killed for the sake of her own survival and the numerous times she was forced to several a body part or shapeshift to escape… Well, the sounds the hybrid emitted had caused her heart the palpitated, then throb just a little bit faster.
If it wasn’t for the recent events and their toll on her mood, Noxa and her eccentric nature would have likely already flown to Celmaru, shouting "ONE TWO THREE GO!" and docked him with one of her Love Taps. But that wasn’t the case; her eccentric nature had been eclipsed by both an earlier promise and recent realizations as to her place in the proverbial food chain.
Instead, her eyes just focused on her teacher. Her expression mimicked his own, albeit not out of ire or resentment. It was a different reason altogether: Noxa intended to take this seriously, just as she earlier promised. Despite the little accident she suffered earlier at the hands of gravity and inertia, Noxa planned to carry onward as though as should. Naturally, the little itch at her spine was something so inconsequential that it didn’t even register as a blip in her awareness. The woman’s fists clenched tightly as she began to fuel an attack. Her instructor’s last words had come across crystal clear: everything she’s got.
Still holding her wide stance, Noxa found herself turning just slightly away from Celmaru. From his point of view, he would get a good view of her left shoulder. The sideways Noxa chambered her right fist by her waist, allowing her everything to pour down that arm. Her concentrated Ki beginning to cause a few nearby stones to begin losing their anchor to the ground, and levitate upwards. Noxa only bid her time as to give Phae time to get away; she didn’t want to hurt the seaweed woman or her sensei’s children. There may have been some selfish motives behind that, namely, the ungodly hellscape of pain and torment that Celmaru would rain down on Noxa if she so much as scratched his wife… But that wasn’t just it. Noxa had an inkling of fondness for Phae. The two women hadn’t socialized all that much, but Phae’s adoring personality was something that rubbed Noxa in all the right ways.
Ki and biochemical energy began to build up in grated intensities as a plateau of power began to be reached. Noxa’s Passionate Caress neared its second stage, nearly grasping for another notch of intensity. A vicious jolt of electricity came to discharge from the woman’s arm, arching backward and tracing the rocky landscape before disappearing altogether; the bright light dissipating alongside that luminescent arc.
As if the visual warning wasn’t enough, Noxa found herself calling out in a gruff tone. “A-alright, here it comes. As close to ‘full power’ as an attack will get; my 'Passionate Caress' will be my all.” From behind a band of scarlet mane, Noxa’s xanthic-tipped onyx orbs glanced over to Phae, making sure she understood where Noxa was going with this — that she understood her request to ‘clear out’.
Yet, still, Noxa didn’t even register the hint of another power level creeping about the area. Her Ki-sense, though developed, wasn’t exactly so second nature to the progenitor that she was always aware of even the most minute changes in the immediate area. As far as Noxa was aware, there were only four points of interest in the wastelands of Gizard as of now: Herself, Celmaru, Phae, and their child.

"Captain Nova is a fictional character created for a young audience."It was shortly after that the Bio-Android's swiftly set sorrow became evident that the hybrid paused. An emotion that was prominent over ignorant glee was shocking to see; particularly from Noxa. The woman's form dwindled, her notable facial expression shifting into one of frustration, likely even discontent. The hybrid refused to utter a word, yet Phae had plenty to say otherwise. 'You're being so harsh!'
'Do you think warriors are made via sunshine and rainbows?'
'She doesn't know much better, husband! Noxa has been relying on her own instinct, would you believe to be any better in her position?'
'I'd know enough that something is so easily attained to be both worthless and wasteful.'
'You would not! If you relied on mere instinct, you'd be scrounging up what ever you'd need to survive! Noxa is doing what she can!'
'How could you confirm that?'
'Men are often considered savages without education; history has proven that much with others that are differing from themselves.'
'....What do you think Celmaru would say if he witnessed his own descendant acting so discourteous to a woman?'Celmaru's brow, alongside his lower left eyelid, jerked in a violent twitch. Once again, another comparison towards his namesake. That majorly Human "Hybrid"; the founding father of the Waterfield family. It was if the current Celmaru was a mere copy, a doppelganger...just an excuse for ancients to compare one to the other. The urge to rage in defiance was fortunately resisted, however a lingering ire boiled within. 'I am not the Celmaru Waterfield that you knew all those years ago. I'm my own person...don't you remember that?'Noxa's fixated gaze would be mimicked as the hybrid stared near the Bio-Woman's own feet. The seaweed woman, otherwise impossibly cheerful, had noted her husband's lack of appreciation for such comments. Folding her palms before her, Phae had simply remained silent, the hybrid husband and his student's taciturn behavior also evident. Another spark would crackle upon the scarlet-haired woman's spine, its arcs increasing in intensity as it began to multiply. Despite this, it was still rather minuscule. It was then Noxa decided to prepare her introductory strike. The hybrid's arms were eventually folded across his chest, the power emanating from the prepared blast....unfortunately lacking. Noxa's Ki had indeed risen exponentially, yet this power should be far more immense than that. Dragging himself from the resentment of his supposed doppelganger, Celmaru was faced with...anything besides everything this student had. It wasn't laced with strength, not many noticeable sparks of Ki was birthed from this maneuver, only one so far, nor any imbalanced rumblings from the effects of this charge. Yes, some pebbles began to rise from the earth, albeit it was still child's play. It was disappointing, yet a clear detail was swiftly overlooked. Phae was rather vulnerable compared to either of them.
Such a vital detail, yet it was left unnoticed by the one that forced her to bear such a burden. The time spent outside of immediate danger left the hybrid sure of any sort of required protection; there wasn't much incentive to be wary of her every move. Despite her pregnancy developing at a wondrous rate, even six months along, Phae was still mobile and physically able overall. The Bio-Android's signal to move away, however, compelled the seaweed woman to evacuate the immediate vicinity. With a nod, even a light bow alongside it, Phae began to float. 'I wish you good luck, Noxa~!' Over several yards away from the pair, Phae would touch down upon a minuscule plateau. Stepping along the edge, the seaweed woman would rest herself atop the plateau's ledge, drooping her feminine legs over its sharply declining surface. Sitting upright, Phae would be able to spectate the incoming evaluations match...but with a twist. Prior to the hybrid's chance to speak of his lackluster ideas of an opinion over Noxa's technique, another vicious discharge erupted from behind her. This bolt of electricity, however, wasn't of her own. Celmaru's brow piqued at the sudden blast of energy, and the presence's...presence...began to inflate in intensity.
"Hm?!"
A deep blue outline of a sphere came into view. It was atop Noxa's spinal structure, yet it was visible even to Phae. A whirling wind swirled about, encircling the outline as more electricity danced around them both. The void-esqe anomaly would likely tug at the Bio-Android's locks of scarlet hair, if she were to be so unfortunate.
"What the hell did you do, Noxa?!"
The hybrid would take a defensive step back; perhaps his judgement was incorrect about her technique? Of course, just as his interactions with Ayumu consisted of, something strange came out of this oddly magnificent event. A head of black hair began to reveal itself. Shut eyes and a rather trimmed and stylized beard. Lining of a fur coat, even its length leaving the hybrid's long-abandoned cape to shame. A pair of dark gloves were visible, as well. The frame of this arrival was clearly male, his hands shoved deep into his pockets elongating the time to determine gender; despite his beard indicating such detail. Celmaru had very little to immediately go off of, yet this arrival's entrance was a bit too flashy for his tastes. A fluctuating wave of Ki was flaring from within the spherical outline, as if his entrance required immensely unstable Ki to appear.
'Well well~, time for Celmaru to meet another one~'
The winds began to die out, the deep blue sphere fading into the thin air it came from. As the outline dissipated into the open atmosphere, the arriving figure touched down in a rigid motion; his feet tapping the soil with a light touch. As if he were floating, his landing was soft, albeit seemingly calculated. A boisterous sigh escaped the newcomer, a bright, albeit simultaneously dull circle manifested itself above his cranium.
A halo.
The symbolic image of those that have perished and resided in Heaven floated above the newcomer's frame. Celmaru's eyes shifted in a wide, and even unnerved fashion. What was this? Who was he? Why was there a damned halo above his own head? Before the hybrid could speak up, a brief comment blared from the man's lips. "MAAAAN, that transition from the Otherworld is tedious! My neck is still as hell from all that!"Shifting his feet about, spinning as his own nape popped, the man revealed himself. Oddly charred auburn irises were evidently fixated upon Celmaru as he lifted his eyelids.
"Heyo kiddo. How're you this fine day? The name's Taveon Trachýs Waterfield! Don't wear that out, if ya could!"
Taveon (Tayv-yon) Waterfield has arrived for 24 hours! Taveon's PL: 2,240,000! (x16p Human Transformation active!) @noxa

There was something about a bickering couple that intrinsically made the Bionic Redhead uncomfortable. The fact that Noxa was the subject made it all that much worse — but it was something that she couldn’t linger on too much. There was no malicious intent laced in Celmaru’s words; Noxa harbored no ill feeling towards him. Chances are Phae knew that as well, but it didn’t stop them from going toe-to-toe on the issue. Despite her attempts at defining Noxa Phae’s words had a distinct edge to them — the way she spoke of Noxa made her feel… Strange. It was yet another sensation the woman wasn’t familiar with, but it was akin to the feeling of disappointment that earlier stung her pride.
“She doesn’t know much better…” “… Would you believe to be any better in her position?” “... Relying on Instinct…” “Men are often considered savages without education…”
Each word a new needle rending itself into a new position in the woman’s psyche.
The woman’s heartbeat was now something not too different from an engine. The thumping happened so fast it was hard to distinguish it from the hum that began to blossom from the air around them. The hybrid’s wife managed to leave just moments before the ground began to shudder at the density of ki surging from Noxa’s body. Thanks to the Bio Android whose focus was singular and true, the events transpiring behind her back were something that escaped her completely.
"What the hell did you do, Noxa?!"
The woman’s energy was raw and uncontrolled. Unstable. Were it not for the violently convulsing atmosphere and quaking Earth there would be another sign of this — the licking electric arcs from earlier grew in frequency and intensity. If the forming sphere was something that fed on runaway energy — biochemical or ki — it would have more than enough to manifest itself. After all, at this point, the intensity of Noxa’s power level was something akin to cause cataclysm on a continental scale. Still, she was far from being on the same planetary scale that the Super Saiyajin ‘Gold Gods’ found themselves in. This was, of course, despite that fact that Noxa’s base ki was something akin — if not surpassing the entry level of a super saiyan. Still, she lacked the exponential power output that came with transformations.
It was an unfortunate truth that her teacher found himself distracted at a moment like this. Noxa’s thoughts echoed back to her, bouncing from wall to wall within the confines of own mind; each time increasing in intensity. By now the awareness of her surroundings had dimmed to one simple binary truth: there was a target in front of her; she was going to hit that target. The circumstances of it all mattered little to the woman whose xanthic irises had long since vanished, leaving behind only her glistening twin onyx spheres, who glanced mindlessly at Celmaru’s feet.
It wasn't determination; it wasn’t will; it wasn't resolve. There was only the absence of all that. Only instinct and an intrinsic binary system of ‘IFs’ and ‘THENs’. Noxa had been instructed to “Hit [Celmaru] with all she [had].” Her power output had reached just over 100% of her base ki, and the woman was going to execute that order.
A sound of ground-shaking origin manifested itself. Its intensity may have been lost at the hands of the already shaking vicinity, but its intensity wasn’t. It was as if someone had been revving the engine of hundreds of motorcycles at once. That could have very well been the first thing that the hallowed ancestor heard upon his materialization.
That sound, was coming from Noxa’s throat; a mighty roar. A battle cry that shot past her sharp, yet somehow aesthetically feminine teeth. Her visage was contorted in something primal — feral. It was beyond clear that she was holding nothing back. It was quite possible she could have poured more of herself into that attack, but the execution of the attack was something that couldn’t be contested.
He would have hardly been given time to finish his sentence before the ground at Noxa’s feet was torn asunder, bits of rock-shrapnel sent tearing through the air as the woman leaned towards Celmaru. Her form blurred as her ki — now a blazing, violently spiky aura — shot her towards Celmaru with the intention of going through him; something Noxa more than understood would be an impossibility. Her strike? A punch. That same fist she chambered before was now ki-infused; her entire arm an instrument of destruction, which shot towards Celmaru’s uppercut, just below his rib cage.
Despite the flashy entrance of the otherworldly man and his sacred form, Noxa was all but aware of him. His manifestation was unfortunate enough to take place after her tunnel visioning began, and so, it was more than likely that he would get caught in some kind of messy discharge of power — rind, dust, or shrapnel. Thankfully, for him, his power was something past the planetary-nukers that were Super Saiyans. Naturally, chances are he would be okay despite the whirlwind of chaos that was unleashed alongside Noxa’s Passionate Caress.

"HAH! Looks like you fucked up, kiddo!"
"Oh shut it!"
What a wonderful initial interaction between the two. Taveon, one long gone before Celmaru was born, found immediate backtalk from his descendant. A wide, toothy grin spread his lips as the earth began to tremble. The sounds of fury and din of power raged beside him, yet he stood with complete footing. The man's palms still resided firmly within his coat's pockets, more sarcasm and lighthearted antagonism abound. Celmaru, meanwhile, didn't appreciate this sudden arrival, nor how horribly this was escalating. However, a distant memory of Walker's strength when they once met...it only further enhanced the probability of this plan succeeding.
"You! Taveon! Get the hell out of here!"
"Hey now, I'm strong enough to handle 'er! Put some faith in yer extra-old man!"
"You are not related to me!"
It was then that the Bio-Android made her move. The violent, bestial roar was entirely audible as Noxa thrust herself forward, unleashing a power now truly equal to her body. Celmaru hadn't heard such throat-thrashing cries since he first went Super Saiyan. Such a memory, however, wasn't very clear, nor fond. The hybrid's eyes began to return to their resting state, his facial features sprouting an irritated vein. The assessment upon Noxa's seemingly ultimate technique was upon him, and yet-
"It appears you have a similar issue to me now. A Warrior's Ire is nothing to dismiss, yet it could very well destroy them. I nearly did so multiple times over the course of the recent few months. Super Saiyan, that wretch Arias, even with Walker...I could've very well ruined myself permanently if I were to become truly overcome by rage. I can only hope for that to never occur ever again."
"Super What?"
"I told you to shut it!"
A fist came into contact with the hybrid's chest. His rib cage felt a slight ripple from the outer skin, yet there was less than a budge from Celmaru. After so long, he felt an attack. Despite what little there was of it to move him, it was enough to relieve a minuscule fraction of stress; his Saiyan biology relishing even the slightest aspect of a battle. Fortunately for Noxa, that half of the hybrid's biology wasn't particularly enough for Celmaru to bother fighting back immediately. Staring at the scarlet-haired, albeit feral Bio-Woman, another burst of a perfectly white aura enveloped the two for a moment.
"Wonderful, you have power behind those words of yours; that much can save you from a vast majority of warriors alone. Now...let's see if you'd use it correctly."
Celmaru's aura receded around its owner, flickering rigidly as it poked the azure sky. Ascending to tap the clouds with his upstanding locks of hair, the hybrid brought forth something he rarely has ever utilized. A Great Blast Crash had manifested itself, its spherical surface beginning to twitch in place. Finding himself a multitude of feet above both Taveon and Noxa, the two appeared ultimately minuscule. The orb of Ki, meanwhile, suddenly began to gyrate in a swift influx of velocity. The newfound ancestor, however, simply shrugged and began to float off.
"Make sure not to kill yerself, little miss. From the looks of it he might be testing your allegiance already. I haven't been looking at what he's been doing for long, but I know well enough that he has some decent intentions in mind. Oh yeah, don't kill HIM either, got it? GAHAHAH!"
A boisterous chuckle burst from his throat as he bounced off. If either of them were to take note of which direction he bounded away in, they'd both find him standing beside Phae; his arms crossed as Celmaru often did. As for the hybrid in question, his own technique began to light aflame, its own sort of metamorphosis transpiring before the warrior's eyes. With a flickering flame both within and atop his palm, a two final statements were created.
"Noxa! You mentioned your strength within life or death situations...you'll be seeing one now. If you take this blast, Earth will live. If you're too bothered about yourself and avoid this...I hope you desire death."
This was a complete bluff, and mere coercion into bringing forth a simple evolution. Despite any other method the hybrid would prefer to enact this, this was deemed a rather efficient method for both Saiyans, Hybrids, and perhaps even Bio-Androids alike. Blinking in a particularly sluggish fashion, Celmaru arced his forearm back for a moment, thrusting his right limb towards his target.
"....Great Kaiser Crash."
The blood-red orb shot forward; a scarlet streak of energy trailing beyond it. This velocity was capable of reaching Noxa within moments, possibly even seconds. Regardless of what Ki was condensed within, this would test the Bio-Android; by "risking" the Earth's life in the process.
'He isn't going to follow through with it.'
'Pfffhahah! Of course not, he's married to you, after all!'
KP: 1/3 Trained Potential activated! PL is now 1,247,520! Great Kaiser Crash [UP2] launched! Potential PL: 823,363!
Taveon is deciding to wait this one out until it gets to be too much! Noxa will be saved if she is unable to handle this!

Only gritted teeth remained of the Earth-quaking rage that the Bionic Warrior had just released. Thanks to the nature of ki there wasn’t the expected recoil from her strike; instead of an equal and opposite reaction — of her force traveling both into herself and her opponent — it was all been guided to Celmaru, thanks to the ki-infused nature of the blow. Still, even so, he hardly seemed to budge. Even with all her strength behind that attack. The ‘warrior’s ire’, as her teacher called it, seemed to dissipate alongside the power behind her punch. It was short lived, it seemed; appearing as she powered up, and vanishing as she used her attack. It was as though her feral flare came as a byproduct of power — that or a catalyst to it. Telling which caused the other would be difficult, but the linked that died the three elements of rage, ferality, and power was undeniable.
“Heh…” Came a halfhearted noised — a chuckle-that-never-was.
Though amusing, the confirmation of that wide abyss that existed between Celmaru and herself was still rather discouraging. Noxa didn’t move a muscle; she simply stared at where her fist met her sensei's body. Not a scratch, it seemed. That gap of power... Could it ever be bridged? Her full-on Passionate Caress and yet the hybrid didn't flinch.
Glowing yellow eyes widened in shock, thanks to the flare of ivory aura that enveloped the duo. In response to the sudden boost in power, the scarlet mane writhed in reflex; Noxa's attention was snapped back to the situation at hand. Mind brought back to their first encounter; the Bionic Woman remembered this was still only the first stage in a multitude of other forms her sensei possessed. Her reflexes acted the moment the light show commenced, sending the woman back a dozen feet, heels sliding against the rocky floor; dust and sparks dancing in the air. The possibility of him ‘counter-attacking’ was the first that her body rationalized, and so it pulled itself to a safer distance.
Yet, despite the sudden knee-jerk reaction brought on by her instinct, Noxa’s minds focused on her sensei’s words. He praised her — which was a first. It almost made Noxa want to crack a smile and spew the same boastful, self-serving tripe she always had. That is likely what she would have done if it weren’t for two factors: the promise of a serious training match, & the ominous end of his sentence. Before she could voice her concerns with the hybrid’s phrasing, Noxa found herself watching as he began to rise into the sky. A bad feeling began to sink into her gut — a dark premonition that something bad was about to happen.
The growing power of an orb Celmaru nursed overhead began to make Noxa greatly uneasy. Surely this as just a joke; poorly contrived and executed... But a joke nonetheless. After all, that singular blast was over eight times her current power; he understood that it would be a one-way trip into oblivion for her. Even if she were to remove her restrictions she wouldn’t stand a damn chance — not against that rotating sphere of death!
"Make sure not to kill yerself, little miss. From the looks of it he might be testing your allegiance already. I haven't been looking at what he's been doing for long, but I know well enough that he has some decent intentions in mind. Oh yeah, don't kill HIM either, got it? GAHAHAH!"
The additional voice that came off to her side nearly caused the already startled Noxa to flinch. Pivoting her head, the Bionic Redhead found herself looking over at its source; only now did the scatterbrained woman feel the staggering power level of this stranger. On the scale of warriors she had met it was on a completely different level than anyone — perhaps even that of Celmaru himself, albeit in reality, she wasn't sure how powerful he was on his alternate forms.
“W-what are you talking about?!” Noxa regarded the fleeing stranger, her voice quivering — laced with a clear nervousness that Noxa herself wasn’t familiar with. Was this old guy trying to imply Celmaru was actually planning to launch that thing?!
"Noxa! You mentioned your strength within life or death situations...you'll be seeing one now. If you take this blast, Earth will live. If you're too bothered about yourself and avoid this...I hope you desire death."
Noxa, in her ignorance as to the upper echelons of power, found herself truly believing in Celmaru's capability of planetary destruction. In her mind, her teacher was simply overestimating her capabilities — as well as her fidelity to this world. A blast of that magnitude was, without a doubt, capable of annihilating Noxa in the blink of an eye; of that, she was well aware.
“Celmaru, No! That is a terrible idea! You’re overestimating my power!" The woman wailed into the heavens, attempting to put a halt to her instructor's misinterpretation of reality.
"I...!"
Noxa wasn't able to finish; his ‘Great Kaiser Crash’, already en route, rapidly grew in her field of vision. Scarlet streak hurled her way. Very much like a segment of her own arsenal, the blast wasn’t exactly very large; that aspect gave the Bionic virago an idea of just how ki-dense this orb would be.
Every fiber of the progenitor’s being wailed at her; Noxa's own body attempted to usurp her mind’s will. Despite her body’s attempts to move, the woman found herself locked in place. For the first time in her life, her body and mind were out of sync — they didn't agree. The only thing she understood was that planetary destruction was something within the grasp of those who have achieved the ranks of ‘Super Saiyan’. Her little scuffle in Satan City, along with the things she later learned from civilians and media, assured her of the Golden Gods’ potential for destruction — she also knew that was a plateau Celmaru had long since summited.
Her prime directive: survival. Self-preservation was ingrained within the nuclei of every cell in her being. Imprinted into her very earliest memories; driving her every move one way or another. Noxa lived by natural law; survival of the fittest was the blueprint that forged her genetic donors — a blueprint artificially exaggerated in Noxa’s design. There was only one thing she could do in this situation: dodge and hope for the best. Thanks to her thick carapace there was a plausible chance the woman could fully cover herself; create a cocoon and hibernate as she floated through the great, empty void, there by giving her a chance in the event of Earth's destruction.
Fight or flight; her body told her to take flight. Noxa wanted to; Noxa tried to, but it was no use. The progenitor was too heavy. On her shoulders sat a pressure greater than anything she felt with her power inhibitor’s suppression. It was as though countless anchors laid chained to her feet — wrapped around her every curve; anchors, keeping one-fifteen firmly planted where she was.
Visions flashed in her mind’s eye; glimpses of those anchors — memories. A tall Namekian came to Noxa; she heard music and felt the soft touch of Earth’s sweet soft drinks. A slender Majin came to Noxa; the vague memory of alcohol touched away at the edges of her mind. A muscular human came to Noxa; the sensation of swelling heroics washed over her gut.
A sense of solemn peace settled onto Noxa. Embracing the woman, like a gentle veil, were the countless reminders of how perfect this little blue marble was — she couldn't allow it to be whisked away. It, now, was her home — not Zilyana; she had to defend it.
The power inhibitors were swiftly willed away, allowing her current power to increase four times over. Her arms shot over her head, just in time for the carapace to meet the scarlet streak’s center of mass. The impact sent out a sizable shockwave. The immense pressure pushed back against the bionic virago, causing the woman’s feet to be impaled into the bedrock. Not that it mattered, as the terrain was promptly torn asunder by the violent whirlwinds caused by clashing ki.
A massive smokescreen was generated; visible within was only the light show of the struggling forces. Noxa and her blazing scarlet aura, pushing back wish palpable desperation against the power that was more than double anything she could harness. Never before had a mask of such crystal clear panic, desperation, and determination befallen her delicate features; never before had such a mixture of sensations ever flowed through her at all.
There was a brief moment of ‘give’. A moment where it looked as though Noxa was holding back the attack.
That singular moment of hope didn’t last.
Noxa quickly realized that the carapace in her gauntlets was being eaten through — devoured by the attack. There was a swift arc of pain in the palm of her left hand; the ki began to disintegrate her flesh — rapidly reaching the bone. Her left hand pulled back in recoil. The already bewildered visage’s features seemed to widen with renewed horror. With only her dominant arm present the orb then rapidly advanced; it tore through carapace, bone, and flesh alike until it reached her torso.
Just then, Noxa’s ki nearly vanished. To all but the most keenly aware warriors, it may have very well blipped out of existence.
As one would expect with an attack of planetary scale, a massive blast of brilliant light rocked through the landscape. With the flash of light gone only a plume of smoke and dust remained. From ground zero rose a mushroom cloud while a snaking fog of dust crept through most of the landscape. The mushroom cloud rose higher into the atmosphere, the sound of a solemn gale blew through the barren world wasteland, marking the end of that event.
Just as it all seemed to be well and over with, another ‘event’ transpired through all of the settling chaos.
Into the heavens shot yet another sight. Into the sky rose a massive, thick tower of opaque jet-black — not color, but the absence of all light. Outlining the towering cylinder’s edges was a red glow, that while just as opaque, seemed to not obscure the black at all. Shortly after another powerful gust followed, dispersing the mushroom cloud it had shot through. This new tempest was perhaps even more violent and sustained; it disrupted the previous detonation's aftermath; even more of the slithering dust began to rise across the rock wasteland. With the erection of the black belfry also came a sudden SPIKE in the same power level that earlier had essentially vanished. The eruption of red and black, as it sustained, began to affect the atmosphere. Air, high in the heavens, began to condense; clouds began forming, and, before long, it looked as though a heavily-charged clouds hung overhead — it looked as though a tropical summer’s monsoon had arrived.
An old man came to Noxa; his words spoke of a 'bullshit' power. “It is great; it is beautiful... But, still, it is still bullshit; it is illogical and unpredictable.” Finally, the great beam began to disperse. It faded, becoming wispy as it rose into the sky like a veil. Once its ghostly form had fully rose into the overcast sky, something else began to fall. A torrent of rain crashed; drumming across the desert of rock mesas. The bombarding rain helped the moke settle as it inundated the landscape.
Despite the early morning, everything was dark. The dense clouds overhead blocked much of the sunlight; one could be fooled into believing the blue hour had been reached — that nautical twilight was here.
The dust, not forcibly settled by rain, revealed a crater — gargantuan in size; the 20 feet deep pocket looked as though a meteor had struck down. At the epicenter, however, was a singular form. Red locks, pelted with rain, refused to be matted down; meshes of hair flowed against the air regardless of the wind’s direction. A pair of yellow eyes looked up into the sky, watching as the rain fell to the world below.
To an outsider looking in it would look as though her carapace had been fully removed; replaced by a combination of tight a coat and a baggy robe. The coat’s front was open — parted. In turn, this caused Noxa’s chest and belly to be exposed within the ‘v’ shape. Alongside the edges of the coat, acting as its lapels, were white, rigid dents that bent outward like petals on a flower. The cape-like length of the coat flowed outward as though it was underwater, ebbing and flowing much like her scarlet locks.
The Bio Android’s right arm was still missing. It was entirely obliterated in the explosion. In fact, much of her beautiful face was covered in scratches that oozed with black blood.
There was a pivot in her upper body — a sudden thrashing jolt as though the woman attempted to swing her missing right arm outwards. This caused a string of the same onyx liquid to shoot from her wound; flesh and sinew followed after it. A viscera of organic matter snaked, writhing and twisting around itself as it molded to form a new shape. This process went on for a few seconds. Eventually, the stringy mess of blood & muscle continued to evolve. In a matter of moments, skin began to cover that mess of organic tissue. Noxa had reconstructed her arm using only the flesh she pushed out from her torso. Washed away by the deluge, her black blood's withdrawl also revealed that her other injuries too had been completely mended.
An unheard thank you was sent out to her Namekian genetics.
Her tender skin exposed to the pouring rain, albeit only for a brief moment. Soon enough the same cloth that now covered her body began to form from her skin, bubbling to the surface. Hard, at first, like a shell or a nail, but eventually growing soft and malleable, eventually it became indistinguishable from the rest of the ‘cloth’ on her body. It, now, was obvious, that it was simply yet another facet of her carapace.
A silent prayer echoed in her mind, regarding her Ankoku biology.
The woman felt her own power; it was immense. Somewhere along the line, as she danced at the precipice of defeat, her biology forced itself to evolve; still, the woman now understood there was more to a simply biological step forward. This change was beyond physical. Perhaps for the first time in her life, the woman felt a great self-awareness. It was though her eyes had been opened to a new world, one she could take a step back from and observe through a lenses that wasn't filtered through the perpetual veil of primordial instinct.
Noxa had evolved past her feral mind.

‘...So have you told him your real age yet?’
‘Of course not!...I’m still somewhat self-conscious about it…’
‘HAH! What is there left for him to judge? He even got you preggers for Kami’s sake!’
‘Celmaru is facing enough issues at the moment as is, even some of which are self-inflicted upon himself...I wouldn’t dare create another for him.’
‘He just needs to figure out how’ta charge straight at them and take ‘em out! Its not that hard, ya know.’
‘Well, I will state that one of those issues is a rather antagonistic, arrogant swine.’
‘Oh.’
‘...That bastard cousin of his? Is that it?’
‘...Indeed so.’
‘That’s so easy! The hell is he WORRIED about?!’
‘The law, the opposing family, the rules and regulations preventing him from doing anything to him outside the family tournament-’
‘They’re still doing that shit? I swear that half of that was a joke-’
‘It doesn’t change the fact that he’s training Noxa and Namorel, preparing another place for near-public use, likely ensuring our family’s safety to its utmost extent, and perhaps even-’
‘Celmaru is too damn young to be hesitating. Neither of us need to remind him of that.’
‘He’s been attempting to be an adult for years. That was his only option when he was a mere high school student. Yet look where that got him.’
‘A defining facial feature that FINALLY makes him visibly different from my great-grandfather?’
‘He nearly died because of that!’
‘AAAAAND that made him look more badass!’The two ancients spoke of the combating hybrid telepathically. The seaweed woman had averted her gaze from her once overseen family as Taveon chuckled betwixt his teeth. A bulbous, pouting cheek was formed the nearby winds began to escalate. The sky rippled underneath the weight of clashing powers, the azure appearance fading into darkness. The hybrid, far above the trio, held his outstretched palm at a downward angle, noticing a definite impact. The Great Kaiser Crash connected with it’s target. Another rustling pulse of energy ruptured the pristine atmosphere, raw Ki and electricity spawning from this mess. “...Why must regret fester alongside me now?”The mumbling hybrid admitted the truth as he noticed what little of Noxa’s struggle was visible. The winds were suddenly whipping at their skin, their clothes and the hybrid’s upstanding locks of hair. This was a bit much; Celmaru hadn’t even utilized Super Saiyan yet. Even if Noxa were to survive via a miracle, she would either have to live… ...Or die by his hand. This scuffle would escalate to any level if need be, yet anything excluding true planetary destruction was vastly preferred. Among Phae, Taveon, Celmaru, possibly even the absent tree Walker would despise such extremes. It was then that a slight decline in obstinate clashing began to transpire. ‘He isn’t stopping.’
‘Why isn’t he stopping!?’
‘OH DAMN HER ARM!’
The billowing mass of smoke, finally enveloping Noxa to its greatest extent, concealed the mere glimpse of the Bio-Android’s plausible demise. Legitimate concerns were eventually arising, the hybrid’s actions visibly creating its own both literal and figurative weight. With that, another vibrant hue invaded the nearby warrior’s corneas. A brilliant, scarlet red erupted onto the scene, a booming sound of an explosion and a dome of such a hue scarring the Earth. Loose debris were flung from their resting places, and nearby stone formations crumbled. “...Oh no.”The hybrid’s voice was unsure; quivering. Noxa’s Ki had disappeared. The fiery detonation of the hybrid’s own technique was the cause; and Celmaru was the murderer. Taking a floating step away, the hybrid begun to shake at the act he had assumed that he had committed. The scarlet lights soon faded away into dust and crumbling ruin, leaving the regretful hybrid to face what he had done. Celmaru couldn’t dare bring himself to meet Phae nor Taveon’s gazes, however their attention was still upon what had replaced the Great Kaiser Crash. An immense cloud of mushroom-esque proportions had revealed itself. Yet, that wasn’t the only reason that the two ancients had such fixated gazes. A sudden, exponential increase of strength occurred; the hybrid gritting his teeth firmly upon this event. A towering pillar of opaque Ki arose from the newfound crater, one that was presumed to be Noxa’s grave. ‘HAHAH! THERE WE GO!’
‘What a durable one she is~’Celmaru’s fear of his supposed murder was swiftly removed. There was little to fulfill a current emotion, fortunately for the hybrid. Taveon, meanwhile, found a strange excitement as the scarlet Bio-Woman evolved. A wide-eyed facial expression took over him, his senses rearing to go for a quick match, at least. It was then that a strange accumulation of clouds concealed the azure sky. Freezing for a moment, the ancient Waterfield glanced upwards, his grin disappearing. Fortunately, that lack of a grin didn’t last for more than a moment. ‘Oh okay, someone gets a new thing and then suddenly A STORM!’
‘Don’t be so grumpy, Taveon. Humans have rather subtle, yet prominent enhancements.’
‘Yeah...and they’re not badass like THAT!’
‘And I sometimes wondered as to why I was relieved when you had children…’
‘Huh?’The seaweed woman began to take flight once again, rising to gaze upon the evolving Bio-Android. This one...it was a process akin to Walker; passive and without absorption. Perhaps one day the two will witness a power very similar to the tree-man himself. Phae, above Noxa and below the hybrid in height, felt the sensation of rainfall atop her cranium. Celmaru, above them all, noticed such a sensation prior to his return to reality. Within his mind, an assessment of Noxa’s seemingly total success was concluding. “This Ki….wonderful. I suppose this is Noxa’s own sort of evolution. I wonder what Walker would say about another passive Bio-Android…”‘Noxa is one of the greater warriors on Earth now, isn’t she?’
‘Very much so, husband~’
‘...Hell, she may be a bit more powerful than I was when I had attained Super Saiyan.’
‘I might refrain from replying to that. Hmhm~’
‘I don’t care at the moment, Phae. This might make my life easier.’
‘Hmmm~?’
‘Well, I can only hope that Noxa has evolved mentally, as well.’
‘Can I butt in here, too?’
‘...Get out of my head.’With a forceful disconnect between the two, the hybrid shifted his gaze to face the newfound Noxa. Clenching his palms firmly for a moment, a brief burst of empowered Ki thrust wild winds around the hybrid. A solid gold hue was emitted from his figure as the clouds were sudden forced away. The rainfall furiously flung away, the clouds lightening and dispersing evenly. A light cast of clouds remained, yet it was sufficient for a rather wonderful day. The gold dissipated as swiftly as it once came. Returning his gaze, cautiously approaching the evolved being, Celmaru found pause in any remarks he were to have over this success. Descending towards the Bio-Android, the hybrid landed; finding himself behind the clothed woman. Blood had been splattered across her frame, a newborn arm recovering as he touched down. Shifting his cranium to glance at Noxa from his left, a single term was uttered.
“Congratulations.”
Another comment was hastily added.
“You passed my test. Even a new evolution, I presume?”Both Phae and Taveon descended near them. This conflict was over, whether Noxa preferred it to or not. Celmaru had forced Noxa to surpass his Trained Potential, and now there would only be two monumental plateaus within the Bio-Woman’s path. Perhaps she would be optimal for a sort of gathering that the hybrid required a representative for. “...Perhaps we could properly test this power in a certain upcoming event? There’s a gathering near my home and Satan City...its a tournament. My own instructor and I will be participating. We’ll need a representative for the Waterfield family.”
“Hey I AM a Waterfield family member-”
“You’re supposedly among the dead so shut it!”
“He has a point, Taveon.”
“WHA- Phae! Come on! I haven’t fought anyone in over-”
“Zip it mister~!”The Waterfield Ancestor’s grin twitched for a moment, his discontent oddly clear. Despite what he could very well do, he was denied access to any matches. The hybrid glared at the newcomer, his presence a bit unprecedented. Regardless, today was a rather successful day, disregarding what potential risks there may have been. Taveon, however, sighed in a boisterous manner, guiding his palms to rest behind his head. “I suppose we have a bit to speak about, as well. I’ve left you in the dark the most, Noxa. And as for you, Taveon, you have plenty to admit to us.”“Yeah okay. But can at least fight SOMEONE today?”
‘Are you sure he’s mostly Human?’
‘Very much so, husband.’
“Later, Taveon.”
“YES!”
The newfound ancient swiftly thrust his palm skyward, only to bring it to his side in a fistpump. The hybrid stroked the backside of his cranium, scratching it briefly as he collected his thoughts. Stepping away from the Bio-Android, Celmaru concluded with a final statement. “Welcome to the level that both I and many others stand upon, Noxa. You’re in the Big Leagues...if that amounts to anything.”
“Oh my-! You’ve been dirtied, haven’t you? We should attempt to clean you up, shouldn’t we?”
'I don't believe Noxa cares too much, Phae.'
'Nonsense husband! Anyone would likely enjoy being clean~!'
I hope you like plot setups, @noxa !

It felt like a new day. Just as suddenly as the clouds gathered they were dissipated. Celmaru, having used his auriferous form had striken away the clouds as though they had been a pesky plume of dust that lingered nearby. Darkness lost its grip on the landscape; precious god rays shone through the parting in the clouds, few of which still trickled across the sky. For once, Noxa didn’t lament the departure of rain, she simply indulged in the soft smell of petrichor that lingered still.
Noxa’s gaze didn’t focus; it was blank — heavy as though she stayed two thousand yards away. As the trio descended upon Noxa , her vision began to focus back on the present. Her teacher’s congratulations took her by surprise, though her body language and overall expression were devoid of any overt reaction. Her features remained stoic and relaxed through the original line of dialogue. For once, Noxa didn’t interrupt or intervene with any tripe or overly eccentric asides.
Everyone’s relaxed demeanor further helped shed light on an inkling the woman felt tugging at the corners of her mind: it was all a bluff. Celmaru didn’t intend on risking the planet — not even once did the thought likely cross his mind, not by the way his wife and ‘friend’ greeted him. The more thought the evolved progenitor gave it the more obvious it seemed to be; given his fleshy biology even a short trip into the great vacuum would likely be a death sentence. If not for him, then certainly for his impregnated mate.
She bid her time, patiently waiting as the gleeful trinity indulged themselves. The cozy glow of the aftermath lingered within her core; between Taveon’s eccentric nature, Phae’s maternal warmth, and Celmaru’s welcoming words she felt something new. Still, her voice only broke through after the seaweed woman’s kind offer to clean her up.
The shadow-clad redhead found herself doing to the trio something she had done only once before; Noxa bowed. Her left heel took itself back; her right hand pressed against her naval as the woman gave a well-founded royal bow — something Katsu and Breech introduced to her as a sign of utmost respect.
“Thank you.” Her voice broke through as she once again erected her form into its perfect posture, “But you’ll have to forgive me, I —” her voice faltered for a moment; Noxa attempted to find the right words for what she had to say, for once thinking came to her naturally. “I am a little overwhelmed by all this. Please excuse me, I need some time alone to gather myself.”
The woman withdrew herself from the closely-knitted circle. “It would be an honor to ‘represent’ your family in your ‘tournament’.” She added before turning around, “I’ll be in contact again soon.” A final glance was yielded over her shoulder as the woman’s golden gaze waved between the loving couple and their guest. Her head returned to look straight forward before a black aura began to lick at Noxa’s edged; it was thick and dense, but a film of gleaming red seemed to layer itself above the moving shadow.
Noxa floated above before zooming into the distance, leaving the group behind with little else to say. Her world had been opened; she understood and felt far more than ever before. It was apparent to her that this change was, after all, as mental as it was physical. Still, there was one thing Noxa found herself hoping for. The woman hoped that this stifling, muffling sense of responsibility and self-awareness were temporary; she would hate to stop having fun.
