(This thread is a continuation of the last thread that just went down. The reason it's separate, rather than being combined is so the individual techs can be learned separately, so to speak.)
Pieter spent a good hour just moving on foot, running from his hunters. At the moment, they seemed to not have been chasing. They were retreating, back to a camp where six others were... At least, that is what he could tell. He had only just figured the to trace another's spirit. It was a good reason on why the fleeing hunter couldn't feel his brother's spirit. In regards to the mercenaries, though, theirs were incited. Each felt relatively around the same of the Namekian, but then there was one who had much more substantial power... Albeit, it was weaker than his, numbers would make this task of escape very difficult, especially with such a strong adversary among this rag-tag group.
"I can't engage them right now... I need to set up a plan," Pieter muttered, looking behind himself to see if they were in sight. The enemy was indeed approaching, but they still had been far off. His recently developed spirit sense gave him a much better notion of how things were going. It seemed they were fanning into a formation. Pieter couldn't put a measurement between each, but from he could at least tell there was some distance between each individual. What his old hunting party would do, back in the day he was still in Fukurou Forest, would be a kind of sling formation. If anyone encountered the prey, his party would sling around in a circle, to contain the animal. They would then attack the limbs so it couldn't escape and then go for the throat. While painful, it was quick so the animal wouldn't suffer.
Pieter found himself at the base of another part of the mountains. He wasn't fully paying heed to the environment because of his thoughts! The mountains were high up. He'd need a few minutes to scale them, even through flight. The hunter figured that he would be an open target at that point... He'd have to cleave through these enemies, as much as he didn't want to engage in a fight. Pieter decided to have a seat next to the wall and began to think out loud.
"Alright, so I've got ten hunters on me... For whatever reason, they want me. Most of them are at about a fourth of my power, from what I could guess from their Spirits. Then there's one who's near half my power, who's probably stronger than that... So what do I do? Single them out in hit and run," he asked himself, running several plans through his head as he did, "No, that won't work. From the way they fought me before with just those four, they were organized and smart. They'd probably catch on and attack in a group, while their strongest distracts me... My normal level of power's not gonna be enough with my slasher. I need to figure out how to make it more efficiently powerful."
He went through the thought of the weapon abilities' strengths. The normal Tomahawk slasher required a long time in order become strong, but in doing so, maintaining it becomes too much of a hassle. Its stronger version, the Super Tomahawk Slasher, builds up energy quickly, but it burns out just as fast. He could try to charge up the attack, but even then it requires too much time. Both versions of the axe could be thrown, to cover a long distance, but his accuracy and the power of the axe needed to be sound.
What was also possible was that they could have some strange device or magic to lock him down, much like that Magic Tony bastard he killed a week or so ago. It bothered him a whole lot that the monster could do that to him, though he was weaker than Pieter. That, itself, was an aspect Pieter had still yet to train, but at this time, he couldn't do so. Perhaps the hunter should leave a demonstration of his power, to make these hunters have a second thought about chasing him... At least, for now.
The hunter stood up and took up a posture for bringing out his axes. He was planning to use a much more powerful Slasher in order to force these people to back off. His elbows were stooped down too far, meaning he was going be letting energy be trapped in his elbows. If he were going to maximize the damage, everything had to be perfect, with no lax portions. He had to provide a full demonstration of his power. He placed his left hand on his right forearm, grasping it calmly.
Pieter then looked at his knees. Too far spread! If he were to begin charging now, his legs would offer no balance, on top of no power, to his attack! If he spread them too short, the same effect would happen. Pieter had to match his elbows in distance. It would offer the most balance in his posture and make it so he could maneuver properly. The hunter looked back at his hands and scoffed at his right hand! When Pieter provided the axes, he was making the weapons appear as things that actually weren't part of him. The master form would have to bring it back to basics, but still off the ability to hurl the axe at his targets.
He extended his thumb out and opened his palm up. He brought the rest of his fingers together. His hand would become the base point of the chopping portion. It'd allow the hunter to provide as much energy as necessary to bring down his target. In addition, it would enable him to extend the weapon's duration and its potency. The hunter charged his spirit into his hand, the energy flowing in. He could feel the approach of the hunters near by. A voice called out, the Namekian's, which worried him.
"No... Leave me be...!"
Pieter poured his energy more, widening his stance a tad more. His body felt like it was on fire as he charged the attack! The voices approached, as well as the sound of movement in the bushes. Pieter's Slasher had been building up an incredible pace. However, it wasn't as fast he wanted. He had to clear up his thoughts. He already knew the purpose, but distractions prevented him from building it up as fast as it should. It felt like his elbow was stooping again, containing a good portion of the energy. He readjusted and was assaulted by a swarm of ki flowing through into his hand. The weapon's popular form manifested, with a curled pick on the opposite side of the blade. The blade had no transparency, no broken form. It remained solid and shown brightly like the sun above!
The mercenaries ran out of the forest, taking up positions around Pieter. The hunted looked at each face, taking note that the human girl and the insect members were healthy again. He told them, in a serious tone, "You are good hunters... I will say this. However, though you have ten of yourselves, I can feel your wavering spirits. If you muster yourselves and come for me, I will defend myself. I will try not to kill any of you, but know that I am not holding back anymore."
