[Thread PL = 2,800; 8,400 w/ Intense Struggle]
Oliver knew that today was going to be a great day. Why was he so certain that it would? Well, because he was hanging out with his best buddy Reggie. Sure the fighter had tons of friends, but no one at the moment compared to Reggie, who always seemed to get Oliver into exciting adventures whenever they would get together. This was especially so since a lot of his close friends were in the slammer serving time for an attempted murder.
Reggie lived on Mount Paozu, the same place that he has been living since birth. It was all he ever knew, so it could get very boring without Oliver there to talk to, or well, to listen to. The large guy could only let out loud roars whenever he tried to say something, which wasn't too bad. Him and Oliver didn't need to perfectly communicate with one another to have a good time. Their relationship showed that humans and dinosaurs could get along after all.
The red-head met the large red tyrannosaurus rex when he had just gotten off of his home island for the first time. While flying above Mount Paozu alone, he spotted a young dinosaur about to get eaten by an adult giganotasaurus. While it was common for dinosaurs to feed on other dinosaurs, Oliver didn't respect those that targeted weaker ones. It was because of this that he swooped in for the rescue, saving Reggie while beating up the enemy enough to chase him off. Ever since then the two have been cool with each other, meeting up every week to play games. Since Reggie had no family, Oliver also taught him how to do things such as hunting (dinosaurs his own size only, for a fair fight) without getting too damaged, how to pick good shelter, etc.
Oliver was now hiding atop a tree to ensure that Reggie would not be the victor of hide-and-seek this time. He would have won too if the large beast didn't come thrashing about, bringing dozens of trees down while he rushed through the forest area. Oliver had to fly out of there to avoid getting crushed, and that was when Reggie spotted him and let out a victorious roar. That wasn't a conventional way to play the classic game that the human knew, but if the Rex was happy, then he was happy.
"You are lucky Reggie. If you were playing with any other human, they would surely call you out for cheating," Oliver smiled at his friend while floating above him, patting him on the forehead. Soon after that, the animal jumped up and down three times in excitement to let his pal know that he wanted to play another game.
"Hmm, another one? But we have been playing since morning. Now the sun is beating down on me too heavily to want to continue. I may have a black tank-top and red boxing trunks on, but it is still really hot out. Perhaps we can just go for a walk in the forest? Please?" Oliver asked Reggie with his best puppy-dog facial expression, which was really bad, but the T-Rex couldn't resist anyway. He nodded, motioning for the human to get on his back. After he did, the two went on their merry way, traveling through the lush forest of Mount Paozu.

#921 stalked his prey, growing ever closer. It was a large dinosaur, trampling trees. This may not be elegant work, but it was required. He had to get food somehow. He shot a small bolt (Crossbow bolt) out of his gauntlet, landing directly into the dinosaur's side. The cyborg ran out, shooting a volley of bullets at the large beast's side. He was so caught up in the hunt, that he failed to notice the human flying near the dino's head. There was a clicking sound against the ground, as he ran to the dinosaur, jumping up to it's head and punching it with his full force. This should work, yes, nearly time to eat.

As Reggie walked peacefully through the forest with Oliver sitting comfortably on the dinosaur's back, trouble moved towards them in the form of a hunter. On their right, a man hid in the environment, and when he had the chance he shot a crossbow bolt into Reggie's side. It made the T-Rex go crazy. The smile on his face turned into one of pure rage as he began crashing through dozens of trees at a time. Oliver couldn't calm im down at all, so that was his queue to figure out what was wrong. As he was launched off of his friend's back, Oliver recovered mid-air, now flying around Reggie until he spotted a colt lodged into his body. Just before he could figure out what he would do next however, he spotted a man running towards him.
This man shot out numerous blasts of energy from his hands, all aimed at Reggie. Oliver tried his best to fly towards each one and deflect it, taking two of them right in the stomach. He would be fine however, as the results of the attacks were just small bruises. The good news was that Reggie wasn't getting hit by any of the blasts, but he was still on a rampage the the forest. Oliver flew on the side of him at all times, waiting for the next strike. That is when the man went for a blow to the dinosaur's face, but Oliver blocked it with his arms crossed against his chest. It hurt a bit, but he would be ok. Whether the man would fall back to the ground after that punch or keep himself in the air via flight, Oliver was going to try and talk him out of hurting Reggie any further.
"Hey buddy, sorry, but this dinosaur is off limits. He is a pal of mine!" Oliver said to the man, his face showing irritation and anger at the guy who caused Reggie pain.

(Quick note: It was a volley of normal bullets, not ki)
#921 fell to the ground with a thump. He looked surprised at the man yelling at him, not knowing this dinosaur belongs to someone else. He could not understand the man, his ears ringing from the shots he fired. He only heard part of the speech, but got the gist of it, knowing the man wanted him to leave.
"So you'd rather me not eat then?" He yelled in a fit of anger.

"Well I mean, there are dozens of other dinosaurs out here! Not that it is ok to go hunt them down in my opinion since us people shouldn't interfere with the animal food chain, but I don't have a right to stop you," Oliver replied, still irritated that the man just tried to off his buddy. Reggie was still going wild, so Oliver flew to his side and quickly pulled the arrow bolt out which caused the dinosaur to let out a loud noise. He quickly pulled out some large bandage wraps that he just happened to be carrying in one of his pockets and then began to wrap them across Reggie's large waist, covering the gash. Oliver then proceeded to say a few words to Reggie that helped him calm down and not knock over anymore trees. He now trekked through the forest slowly in hopes of walking off the pain while the human descended to the ground a few meters in front of the stranger.
Look, I am sorry for yelling at you since I know that you like everyone else gets hungry and would try to eat anything, but I have known Reggie for about 6 years. I don't know how I would feel if he ended up in someone's stomach," Oliver explained with his hands folded against his chest, now showing a small smile on his face. He felt that him and the man got off on the wrong foot and that they should start over. "Anyway, you made it seem like you live around these parts? Since you are relying on hunting dinosaurs, you probably aren't a city child. My name is Oliver by the way," he continued, holding his right hand out in an attempt to shake the guy's hand. His greeting was a little late, but he couldn't have possibly thrown it in during the time that he was trying to protect Reggie.

#921 reached his hand out upon Oliver's greeting, shaking it heartily.
"I apologize. My er... emotions sort of, took over for a minute there. I hope you can forgive me." He said, as he began walking away. He walked over to a large raptor-like dinosaur, about the size of a large human. The cyborg ran over, circling around the beast. Shooting a bolt at the raptor, he ran over locking his arms around the beast's stomach. He shot out a small blade from his wrist, slitting the raptor's throat. He began pulling off the skin, using his knife as well as his hand. Pulling off a bit of meat, he pulled out a small pot from one of his pouches on his belt. He started a fire by shooting a spark out of his wrist onto a pile of sticks before he put water into the pot and set up a tray for it above the fire. The stew began to simmer, as #921 turned to Oliver.
"Would you care for some stew? It's the least I could do for troubling you."

"It is fine, and of course I forgive you. I too have made mistakes in the pass. It only shows that we aren't as mighty as gods after all, right?" Oliver replied, smiling. After that the stranger went to go hunt a dinosaur. Oliver didn't really feel too good about that, but it wasn't his business, so he went to go check on Reggie.
"I am so sorry that this had to happen to you Reggie, but the man that did it is really sorry. Perhaps we can befriend him? He won't try to attack you again, I promise," Oliver floated above his friend, trying to calm the anger that the beast was still feeling. He was partially successful since Reggie nodded and followed Oliver to the hunter, but he was still a little mad, as you could see in his face.
By the time the two of them got back to the man, he was preparing dinosaur stew in a pot. He offered them some since he still felt guilty for damaging Reggie. The large red T-Rex suddenly formed a large grin on his face, nodded furiously at the food, but Oliver declined getting some himself.
"No thank you. I am a vegan, but it seems that Reggie would love some. They say that you can't win over others with gifts, but it seems that dinosaurs don't fit themselves into that quote, heh," Oliver joked.

#921 nodded, spooning out soup into a small bowl. He then took the pot and put it on the ground near the pair, gesturing to Reggie. He began eating the soup himself, with a small spoon.
"So, you live out here?" The cyborg said, curious. It was always a pleasure to meet someone else who lived out here, away from civilization.

While the group ate their food, the man asked Oliver if he lived in the area.
"Well, I don't exactly live anywhere. I go from city to city sleeping in the nearest hotel or motel. I am always traveling for my job, so there is no time to settle down. To be honest however, it isn't really that bad to not have a home. I manage easily," Oliver replied while he took a seat near the pot. "Anyway, what about yourself? What is your name, and do you live on this mountain? I have taken a few naps in forests myself, so it wouldn't be too unbelievable. If you do live around here, then do you get to the cities often? My favorite part about being around hundreds of people a day is the fact that just about anything could happen, heh," Oliver added.
Reggie surely was hungry, because he gripped the bowl of soup with his teeth and looked directly up in the sky. This made all of the soup go right into his mouth. He dropped the bowl near the friendly stranger, motioning for him to give him seconds.

"Me? I travel around, sleeping in woods and mountains. I quite enjoy being out here, in nature away from everyone else. It makes me feel a bit more connected to everything. Usually, I avoid cities, the crowds of people make me feel nervous." Seeing Reggie put down the pot, he cut off another slab of meat, pouring more water into the pot as well as the meat before setting another fire and putting it to boil.
"My name I'm not exactly sure of, but I've always been called #921. You can just call me 921 I suppose."

"Ah, so you are a traveler like me, except you don't like to go into cities. I can understand that, since people can be a little. wild sometimes," Oliver replied, thinking back to a few times where he spotted crazy situations within cities that got almost everyone involved a one-way ticket to the slammer or killed.
the stranger than went on to answer Oliver's second question, telling the red-head that he doesn't have an official name, but he goes by #921.
"Ah, like an android? Are you one? If you are then that is so badass. I always wondered if I should get some mechanical enhancements to my own body to be honest," Oliver was excited at the chance that 921 was possibly a machine.

"I.... I'm not sure what I am. I think I may be an android... I'm just.... not sure." 921 said as the stew finished. He fished some more into his bowl, handing the pot back over to the pair he had met. He tried to ignore the thoughts in his head, the thoughts of his past, working in the military.... he shuddered, shaking his head. What had he been like before the work? But..... did anything happen before? The cyborg tried not to think of it.
"Hey buddy, want some more?" He said, putting the pot down in front of Reggie.

"Ah. Well, I guess you shouldn't worry too much about it," Oliver replied after noticing 921 shuddering and shaking his head as if the boxer's question made him think about bad times. That wasn't his intention, so he decided to switch the topic. Before continuing however, Oliver noticed Reggie having a good time with his food, picking his bowl up that 921 refilled. There was plenty of dinosaur to go around, so that wasn't a problem. If they ran out, 921 would probably cut down another dinosaur again anyway.
"Anyway, have you met any other people that live in the foresets like you do?" Oliver asked. Right after he was finished talking, there was a loud roar that could be heard all across MT. Paozu, a shout from a beast that Oliver didn’t know from sound alone. After that, Loud steps could be heard a few miles north of where Oliver, Reggie and 921 were. These footsteps were getting louder and louder, implying that this thing was getting closer and closer to the group. Oliver got up in a hurry and began to floar. He had a serious look on his face.
"Seems like there is something angry coming our way. We have to get ready for battle," Oliver said to Reggie and 921 while looking down at them.

Out of the clearing, a large dinosaur, several times larger than Reggie, with a spine on his back, roaring as he did. It sounded horrid, a screeching sound, like nails on a chalkboard.
"Absolutely wonderful" He muttered, preparing to fight. He charged electricity in his arms, rolling behind a rock as he did.
"Hey, Oliver, can you distract him?" He yelled. The cyborg began charging, taking all the electricity in his body and beginning to focus it all in his arms. Hopefully, this would at least leave a serious burn on the dinosaur. But the beast was attracted by the yelling, and began running toward #921. He lunged behind a large pillar of rock, but the beast followed, tearing the pillar apart.
"Yeah, I really could use some help here!" He yelled
