Hey y'all, Liang here with some pretty good news. My super-goofy schedule may change within a week or two from now. I know posting with me has been at a snail's pace and i'm sorry for those who are wrapped up in threads with my characters, but being I work four practically twelve hour shifts each week (at work forty four hours, paid for forty, no paid breaks) from 5PM to 4AM (which is a DISASTER to try and work my life around, let alone stay active here), it's very tough to squeeze everything I need to do into those very odd times i'm awake. For instance, if I need anything from a store that isn't a twenty-four hour business, I often have to wait at least five hours to get anything taken care of.
Now, on to the good news.
A friend of mine has been at a new job for a little over six months, and they extended the offer of using them as a reference to work with them. This gives me the opportunity to reset my schedule. Along with this perk, there are at least seven other benefits to the job; it pays more, it's an equal commute, all breaks are paid (so I ACTUALLY have ten hour shifts), and so on. Being i'm really trying to hit my mark for re-enrolling in college this coming spring, I was pleased to find out that this job offers three or four day weeks. It's likely i'll switch to day shift, which means I could knock out a class or two come spring after work now and then, and I could also be here and actually awake during peak posting hours, allowing me to get more involved in the site again. Even if i'm stuck on night shift (which I doubt, I hear they need people everywhere) it's an absolute improvement to the tune of 8PM-6AM, rather than...whatever 5PM-4AM is.
