The world is always full of changes but many are often overlooked by the people that they occur to. For one particular woman this is a truth she cannot ignore while sitting in the confines of her spaceship. She is currently inside the limits of West City parked in a special port for intergalactic vehicles, a modern trailer park, where other similar ships to her oblong, silver one sat all in nice little rows. Her body is hunched over a computer screen inside her ship and she rests her buttocks in a fine, red cushioned seat. A small is on her face as she skims the screen and clicks a button.
"Whew..." she utters to herself looking up from it only to see a yellow sticky on her ship's front window. It reads, "Order new parts for ship. If possible expand vessel for deep space travel and upgrade protective measures."
She was doing just that, but realized as she did this that even though the ship was certainly going to be bigger in the future there wasn't going to be anyone to fill the rooms nor enough equipment on her part to store in the rooms just yet. She had a lovely stealth drive on order to protect the ship as well as a gravity chamber but if even if she ordered both one could fit in her ship's main deck and the other her small training room. The basic space ship she owned was currently able to fit three but with the expansion had the ability to house six. The problem was she had no people to fill it either.
It was a small dilemma since she had the place all to herself but no one to share it with yet. "Yet..." she told herself as she rubbed her belly. It had growing from it a soup can sized bump that held within it her growing child. She had to go up recently in clothing size by one full size to accommodate it and her timing with this could not be worse.
She was on bad terms with her parents but luckily had borrowed enough clothes in the past to tide her over for this month, however, with the loss of her parents' support she now was without proper finances, even though she did jobs here and there for others. The reason being that her primary expenses had just gone to completely furnishing her ship. That had been a great thing to do but likely something that would not be done soon based on the order pages she had for her purchase.
At least 5900 Zeni was going into her little project to give her child and her room to live in their mobile home together. Sadly, 5900 Zeni was not something easy to come by and it had only been through traversing into space she had been able to collect it in small increments. She now had to choose, "Should I go into space again to find Zeni or live on Earth and collect it here?"
She had promised herself she would return here over two months ago but after getting trapped on Kanassa and having all that occurred to her happen she felt not a shred of desire to return to the realms beyond Earth. It just felt far too frightening to do so and given her current condition at currently 2 months and a week of being pregnant increasingly dangerous to go far beyond a planet she knew to somewhere she did not know. The people she had met though in her time on Earth though and in space were not to be found however. Ayumu was somewhere she did not know of, Celmaru was also in this state, Tanis had completely disappeared and others such as Plato she was not sure of fully being able to trust them. After all, he was an alien since she remembered he had been someone who invited her to the far off place known as Konats.
She did not know if any of them were dead or alive nor how to contact them. So all her thoughts of counting on them were out of the question. "Maybe I should have never become pregnant?" She noted sadly to herself as she curled up in her chair he usual yet stretched attire. "The man who helped make this child with me is dead and I'm very certain I can't find anyone to rely on without a great deal of effort."
She shook her head pushing those ideas aside and said as she stood up from her console and walked around in a circle around her chair. "I guess I need to go out and make some new, real contacts then. Surely someone on this planet I call home will kindly take up the chance to help me in this condition."
Jeanne headed for the hatch of the ship and once it opened to the outside, with the press of a button, she hopped out and began to go for a walk heading far beyond the lit corridors of ships in her temporary home and into the main part of West City where high rises swallowed everything.
