The time had come.
Maeve stood in the center of the lookout with her eyes shut. The draconic woman was not clad in her casual maternity clothing she was seen in recently. Rather, she wore the ceremonial armor of her clan that she had worn in the past (despite having an extra bump in her stomach.) The demoness leaned her head back and let out a soft, near silent, sigh as she basked in the warmth. The light breeze the floating lookout provided brushed against her face and caused her ruby locks to billow freely around her. It was refreshing to just bask in the day's warm glow. She spent what felt like an eternity in the Pendulum room training and facing various evils and fears connected to her soul; so this relaxing breath of fresh air was very much needed...
Yet, today was not to be wasted on relaxing in the sun.
With the soft 'clacking' of wooden geta padding across the ivory tile a figure would approach the demoness from behind. Her pointed ears would flick at the sound only to have her eyes open shortly to gaze upon the tiny Kitsune: Akemi. The golden haired fox would smile softly before pulling two things from behind her back. In one hand she carried a dusty tome, in the other she tightly grasped a clear gem. "You are ready. You can do this Maeve." The teacher said with a soft smile before opening the book.
"You have faced the trials of the Past, Present, and Future. You have found the strength in your heart to sever the ties that hold you back and to grow. You are ready." The small kitsune repeated as her tails began to unfurl.
Maeve watched as the small kitsune began read the book while she started to work diligently. Her six impossibly fluffy tails radiated with energy as they each flicked through the air like a series of paintbrushes marking a canvas. Each stroke left a trail of shimmering magic hanging in the air, and with effortless movement these strokes would start to form a pattern of runes that began to swirl all around Maeve in a dizzying display of light and color. Akemi's emerald eyes looked up and began to shine with their own demonic glow as she began to speak.
"Do you remember...My earliest lessons Maeve?"
Maeve looked through the shimmering lights to her teacher. Maeve's eyes shook as she tried to focus and she tried to remember. Her mouth opened as she tried to form the words. She exhaled softly and focused letting the world slowing to a stop. Her serene mind activated leaving her to her own thoughts.
“You must be swift ...Like the ever blowing Wind...”
“...Free...Like the continual flow of Water...”
“...Sturdy...Sturdy and tough as the Earth itself...”
“...You must embody all of that.... With your spirit ablaze...With your heart fueled by Fire!”
She repeated her mantra, causing her teacher to smile and nod approvingly.
"Yes Maeve, good. Your body, mind, and spirit had to be balanced to let the magic of the elements flow through your ki. Balance and Order were what you accepted, Chaos and Instability were what you rejected. They are tools of Makai, tools you need to release. To be a protector of this world: you must exist as a paragon of the virtues you have striven to embrace. You must keep the balance of the Light and the Darkness within. You must maintain the order of this world."
Akemi's words filled the lookout with power as the runes began to merge into Maeve's chest. The young woman let out a sudden choke as a dark red light began to radiate from her sternum. A pulse of wild, uncontrollable, and malevolent energy exploded out from the light and scattered the clouds that surrounded the lookout. The suddenly clear sky revealed the looming red light of the Makyo Star. It's overbearing presence merely made the light hovering above Maeve grow sending sparks of black and red electricity to crack the skyline.
It was a spectacular sight that was practically impossible to miss.

"What in the world is that...?"
The Former Guardian stared worriedly up at the crimson-tinted sky of Fukurou Forest. He was well aware of the fact that the Makyo Star was orbiting Earth at the moment, but the amount of energy pulsating in the air was much heavier than what the star could produce on its own. His senses detected that Maeve was contributing to the lightshow in some way. His brow furrowed as worry began to overflow. What could she possibly be doing to cause this? Whatever it was, she most likely was in trouble. He needed to help her!
Bing tried to take flight, but he stopped for just a moment. Hesitation and fear were still creeping in his mind, even now. Wouldn't his appearance simply make things worse? Maeve last saw him as a rage-filled warrior. If her gaze fell upon him, she might lose focus on her goal... Right?
"...No! I can't let my own anxiety stop me from helping her! I don't care what she'll think of me, she can't do whatever it is she's doing on her own!"
With a burst of Kiai, the Cyborg took to the skies, flying at high speeds for the top of the grand Lookout that hovered in the sky. He arrived quickly, landing with a soft -toc- as his boots hit the tiles. His eyes quickly fell upon Maeve, who was currently reciting a mantra of sorts. Alongside her was the wily fox Akemi, seemingly proud of whatever Maeve was doing.
His eyes filled with concern, he spoke to his Fiancee, hoping to understand what exactly was happening. "M-maeve! Are you alright? What is all this energy?"

As Bing made his entrance he'd be able to witness the demoness' eyes widen as her body began to lift in the air. She either didn't notice her love or she couldn't see him; For in that moment she seemed completely transfixed on the ominous red light pulsing above her chest. It was truly a strange sight to behold. The way her form listed into the air paired with the way her spiky ruby locks sprayed out and waved slowly made it look as if she were suspended in a peaceful pool of still water rather than in the air. Her soft lips parted as she let out a breathless exhale. In the next moment, her golden eyes would be engulfed in a white light. The pillars of humming light coming from her eyes started to expand around her face and slowly overtake her entire being. The ethereal sight caused an uncanny stillness that threatened to deafen the lookout with the barely audible hum. For one tense moment, the world had stopped. "Beast wrought from iron and dead flesh! I will not let you touch her!" Inari's thunderous roar tore the silence out of the air from behind Bing as the kitsune thrust forth a hand. Her tails flicked and waved through the air with malice and foreboding, her emerald eyes narrowed to demonic slits and her fingers began to twitch and curl independently creating the crackling and groaning sounds of expanding wood with each movement. Unknown to the man: the wily fox had used the only bit of magic she could conjure in her current state to activate a spell around her pupil. Thick roots would rip from the ivory tiles and swirl around Maeve's rapidly glowing form and the dark light that hung above her. In seconds, her entire body would be consumed by a towering tree that now stood in the center of the lookout. It wasn't a perfect defense but it'd at least hopefully slow Bing down if he tried to interfere with Maeve or the transference process. Akemi panted, expending a bit too much of her severely limited power in her efforts to protect Maeve. Yet she stood firm, holding the clear gem tightly and taking up the tome once more. "S-stay away you...Foul reflection of once was! I will not let you interfere with what Maeve has worked for!" She flipped back to the page of her book before taking a step back from Bing. Her hands were full but her tails curled out ward in an almost offensive looking stance as if she were more than prepared to still lash out.

[ Thread PL: 78,483]
Elsewhere in the depths of the Lookout, sat Defrosch, surrounded by various tomes and scrolls. He had intended to get back to his treasure hunting and relic recovery hobby sometime soon. Therefore, consulting the Lookout's inventory seemed logical. The Arcosian was going over the tomes and scrolls while also cross referencing the stores and cabinets that held various artifacts, though many of these writings indicated a plethora of things were missing... But Kais above did Defrosch love a challenge like this! Thus far, he had found a piece of mystical ore that was perpetually cold to the touch as well as a ring of unspecified value and ability that came from the bottom of the sea near the Eastern Lands. Cerci, the Cricket School master, and fellow treasure hunter had given Defrosch most of the mystical items she had in her possession; most of which were spell tomes and several parts to various ancient armor sets. Defrosch had also confiscated the Dark Avalanche, a ghastly blade that was once held by Siero Iskad- the former Ice Bandit leader. All in all, research was going well, the peace of the Lookout helped a great deal. At least, until the peace was disturbed. Defrosch was of course aware that Maeve and Akemi were performing a very important ritual up topside- and he was told to not interrupt or go up there until he was either signaled that everything was fine... Or, if something didn't seem right. Defrosch's scouter would beep as someone approached the lookout, and as soon as he set aside the tome he was reading, he noted a slight fluctuation in Akemi's energy, along with a short and strong rumble that echoed through the platform to the Arcosian's current location. "I swear if someone just showed up by mistake-" A sudden realization hit him. His scouter picked the new arrival, but he himself did not. It was an android. Quickly checking the power readout on his scouter, he realize who it could be. There was only one person that Defrosch had scanned with this scouter that gave this result. Bing. Akemi and Maeve didn't know he was okay! "... SHIT!"
Time was of the essence. If he was to avoid absolute chaos occurring, he needed everything he had. All of the speed he could muster. He needed his True form. The metamorphosis took place quicker than ever before. Once more, he had entered this form of his conscious will. Without a moment to lose, Defrosch made his way upwards the swiftest way he knew how; right through the ceiling, swimming through the solid tiles as if they were liquid! He rose up right between Bing and Akemi, gesturing for both of them to stay put. "OKAY, TIME OUT. TIME OUT."

Bing's blood froze as a familiar voice yelled from behind the Cyborg. Never once had he heard Inari raise her voice, and the first time she did, it was to him. Before he could even try to explain himself to the girl, she released a strange bit of magic, which created an absolutely massive tree in the center of the Lookout, the sudden sprouting of which knocked Bing away a hefty distance. The large tree practically swallowed Maeve whole, keeping her safe from anyone and anything.
"NO!"
The Former Guardian quickly got back to his feet, rushing towards the tree as lightning crackled around his form. He slammed a fist into the tree, causing a large chunk of the bark to crack and splinter into multiple pieces. He smashed his fist into it a few more times, but the bark was proving to be a tough nut to crack. He turned to Inari, nearly bursting into tears as he began to plead with her.
"Inari, please! I don't care what you think I am, I want to help Maeve! I don't know what ritual you're putting her through but I don't want her to do it alone! Please, just let me help her!"
Judging by the foxes stance, it was clear she was ready for a fight. Bing wouldn't dream of hurting someone so kind, but if he had to get her out of the picture to help Maeve, he would certainly consider it. As he weighed his options, he felt a surge of energy from inside the Lookout. Somebody familiar was coming towards them. Somebody who knew Bing was okay.
The Arcosian shouted, calling for a ceasefire before anything serious happened. A feeling of happiness came to Bing upon Defrosch's appearance. With his help, maybe things wouldn't get nasty.
As much as he wanted to say something, he presumed keeping quiet would be for the best. Inari was currently convinced that Bing was still evil, after all.

Akemi kept channeling her magic into the tree to strengthen it as Bing slammed his fist into it. Each crack allowed a bit of Maeve's light to shine through into the lookout though only until they were mended. Her aquamarine eyes shifted to the Arcosian though however causing her to break her focus on the tree. "Explain, Defrosch. What do you know about Bing?!" She snapped, her glowing eyes sparking as she very slightly lowered her battle stance. Deforsch's sudden interference and the sight of the mechanical man practically breaking down into tears as he begged her to let him see her fiance caused her to bit her lip and knit her brow. Something had told her that she might have made a mistake, and in that instant: her mind was suddenly clouded with confliction which led her to further lose focus on the task at hand. "What is..." Her fluffy little fox ears perked up however as she felt a surge of demonic energy pulse from the tree. Sparks of black and red electricity splintered bits of the tree as it ripped from it's towering trunk. It seemed whatever the strange dark light was that was hovering over Maeve was lashing out! Akemi bared her pointed teeth as she suddenly held up the clear gem in her hand once more. "The transference is taking too long! Deforsch keep Bing from Maeve! I need to start this now! If there is any interference Maeve's soul could..." She glanced aside, before shaking her head dismissing the thoughts. "Nevermind. Just stay away!" She barked before refocusing her efforts on the task at hand. Her fluffy tails began to swirl and paint the air once more around her creating a series of dark looking runes that hung heavily in the air. "I draw upon the magic of the Makyo star and demand that the chaotic energies saturating the air be drawn to me! I open my heart as a willing vessel! Ancestors, grant me this chaotic might so I may gain the power to spread more anarchy!" Her voice rumbled with the growing darkness around them as a smog of chaos seeped through the cracks in the wooden trunk only to begin their trail through the air. This swirling ever shifting mass of inky blackness and deep scarlet hues began to slowly drill into a point aiming to pierce Akemi's chest. A soft smirk would play on her lips as she suddenly shifted the runes with a dot and wave of her tails. "I've got you!"A demonic and echoed wail of Maeve's voice would escape from the tree as the runes were shifted. Suddenly the chaotic energy was yanked away from Akemi's chest and forced it to begin collecting in the clear gem she held up. "Yes! It worked! With this I can safely seal her chaos away!" She blinked however as she noticed the stream start to break away in a feeble attempt to try and find a host within Bing and Defrosch.
"GET BACK! DON'T LET IT TOUCH YOU!"
Akemi cried out, panic slipping in her voice as she warned them. She focused her magic in keeping the vile power from straying from it's path.

"I woulda' explained after all this hyper-sensitive stuff was over if he hadn't decided to show up! You said yourself to mind my own business and not butt in for any reason except if... This happened." Defrosch's eyes darted between the two again, as long as they weren't going at each others throats for no reason then that is really all Defrosch could ask for right now. One hand pinching the bridge of his nose, Defrosch looked over to Bing. "Speaking of, I bloody well told you to be patient didn't I?" As much as he understood the emotional significance of Bing and Maeve's connection, someone had to be the logical person around here. Defrosch let out a disappointed sigh, shaking his head. "Well whatev-"
Bzz.̧͘͝͡zzt
.̴̛́͜Crrr.̧͘͝͡rrrk
Z.̧͘͝͡zzbb.̴̛́͜zbt
Something wasn't right. The tree gave off menacing sparks and began to creak. Yet more complications to only make an awkward situation so much better. "-errrr ohhh... Bugger." Defrosch could tell this was bad news; he had experienced a similar feeling once... Yes, the stench of the Makyo Star's radiation was even heavier than the last time. Akemi's reaction would confirm any concerns the Arcosian might have already had. The fox spirit was of course a lot more wily than she would let on, tricking even the most ghastly of forces into getting sealed! Quite impressive indeed. Unfortunately, the darkness that she was attempting to seal had some kick left in it. Getting anywhere near that without the proper experience in magic would be foolish... But even that mist could not pass through the tiles below their feet! "No need to tell me twice! Hey Bing, I dunno what ideas you've got but y'know that thing I do where I go through stuff? I can bring you along too, just close your eyes first!" Defrosch would signal Bing by attempting to yank him by the elbow before swiftly diving through the floor away from the mist and to the first room below. The instant he was submerged (potentially along with Bing, should the cyborg accept the offer) the floor would become solid once more, barring the darkness from following.

Bing's eye darted between Inari and Defrosch. It seemed that with the Arcosian's assistance, things were made a bit more clear. With the misunderstanding cleared up just in time, Inari was able to explain that being near the tree was absolutely not a good idea. Bing took a few steps back, nearing Defrosch as the Arcosian reprimanded him for showing up out of the blue.
He turned to his Ice-tinted friend, a look of shame on his face as he tried to explain himself. "I mean... I wouldn't have shown up if things didn't look so worrisome up here! There were sparks of crimson flying about! I thought I could help somehow..."
Before Bing was able to sink into a state of sadness, his attention was returned to the Tree as it began to creak and crack. Dark energies were seeping out of the tree, seemingly coming from Maeve herself! As he watched the energy fly from the tree, it was clear to him what Maeve was up to: She was cleansing her impurities! He'd done something similar long ago, but in his case he simply had to fight a cursed part of himself rather than draw out the energy in its raw form.
The energy simply tainted the air for a moment, before taking the shape of a deadly point and heading straight for Inari! The wily fox was quick to retaliate, revealing a magic gem she'd been hiding out of sight! The magic runes around Inari shifted, and the evil mist was sucked straight into the gem!
Of course, not all things go exactly as planned. Small spurts of the vile magic broke away, looking for a suitable victim to inject itself into. Inari called out a warning to the two spectators, but it seemed Defrosch already had a plan thought up. The Arcosian grabbed Bing by the arm, explaining he could bring Bing along if he used his strange Liquid Ki ability. Bing nodded, shutting his eyes tight as they sunk through the floor!
It was certainly a strange feeling to move through solid objects. The act itself was a bit hard to describe. Suddenly being unable to hear anything other than the sound of shifting liquid and stones moving was jarring, to say the least. With no sense of direction other than "being pulled by Defrosch", Bing had little he could do besides feel incredibly uncomfortable. With any luck they'd exit the ground sooner rather than later.
Bing accepts Defrosch's weird offer. Is now in the rocks.

"You really are something special Defrosch... Thank you." Akemi said, her tone genuinely grateful as she turned to face the encroaching darkness that funneled into her gem. Hisses and demonic chaos screamed in Maeve's voice as the last of the foul dark crimson cloud was drawn and sealed away. Akemi's eyes widened as she held the warm and faintly glowing garnet and for a moment. She paused, just... Listening... ...To the whispers. "You were a bit more trouble than you were worth. The things I do for my most irksome pupil." The Kitsune jokingly sighed as she pulled out a purple cloth and wrapped the garnet up. She looked over to the spot where Bing and Defrosch had literally sank into the marble before giving a bit of a relieved smile. "I think...I think we did it-" "CRACK!" The fox trailed of as the resounding split of wood filled the air. She looked, her pointed ears lowering to her scalp as she looked to the golden light streaming from the tree.
"Both of you...Should come back out now..."
A series of fissures snaked up the tree as the trunk cracked and splintered in every which way. More and more golden light overpowered the darkness of the night as each and every break in the wood caused the powerful light to grow. Eventually, the light and cracks would overpower the tree and suddenly...
There was silence.
Akemi could only stare at the sight of the golden tree with a mix of wonder and awe as the sensation of both purity and power washed over her. For a moment, in that beautiful stillness, it really felt like a god was awakening.

A few moments of silence passed, nothing could reliably be heard down here unless it was quite loud, but it was the safest option on such short notice... It was better to be safe than sorry. Curiosity tugged at Defrosch to just take a peek and see what was happening, but it was in this situation that he knew he had to have one thing placed higher in priority than simple curiosity. Faith.
He had to have faith in Akemi and Maeve, for he knew that their experience in these matters combined with their more expansive knowledge of demonic arts or similar practices would surely make them come out on top. Besides, what was a pathetic fart-cloud worth of chaotic, malefic energy to them? Nothing, that's what! The silence persisted until the splintering of of wood could be heard, even through the tile flooring that Defrosch and Bing moved within. That vile sickening darkness had gone away, likely sealed within the gem Akemi held... With the disappearance of this darkness, another force emerged, a radiant calm was brought into the world as the tree above continued to crack and creak. "Okay, we're going back up!"
In one swift heave Defrosch would move to bring himself and Bing back up through the floor, right to where they were standing topside before. Defrosch didn't even bother to shield his eyes from the glow that emanated from the tree, for it wasn't harsh like most lights. It was truly something else, and the Arcosian had no words to convey his thoughts right now. For it isn't every day that you witness the birth of what is essentially a god.

As the duo floated in pure concrete, Bing tried to focus on the energies raging just above (or perhaps below, he couldn't tell) the two of them. It felt like a major shift was occurring, but he couldn't tell exactly who was succeeding in what. The raging energies seemingly halted, before a separate, wonderful Ki emerged in its stead. Before Bing could suggest anything, Defrosch was on the move, -hopefully- pulling them back towards the surface. After a few moments of anxious waiting, the duo popped out of the ground. Bing crumpled onto the ground as they landed, taking a deep breath despite no longer needing oxygen. As he sat up, he let out a few breathless words. "We... Are... NEVER... Doing that again." It took him a moment to recollect himself, but when he did, all he could do was stare in awe at the magnificent golden tree standing tall in the center of the Lookout. If he were a lesser man, he might feel jealous at the moment. Purging his inner demons was nowhere near as flashy as this! Perhaps that simply meant Maeve had more bad mojo to tangle with. Regardless, he was quite happy that his Fiancee had seemingly succeeded in her efforts, thanks to Inari's assistance. Maeve Rakshasa your go!

A sound not unlike that of a wind chime echoed into the air suddenly. A pulse of light would ripple out and wash over the three beholding the tree's golden beauty as if a star had fallen from the heavens into a still pond. The tree started to break away into pieces that drifted into the air. As they lifted into the air the light would fade as the fragments transformed into snow white flower petals. The silhouette of the demoness would step forth from the light as the petals slowly rained down around her. Her arms would unfold revealing that she had somehow transformed to gain a total of six arms. Each arm outstretched in a graceful and peaceful manner as if she were prepared to pull those gathered into a warm embrace. The light from the tree faded completely as the lookout was suddenly covered in a sea of petals. The three would finally be able to get a look at the new god. Her once spiked ruby locks were now a radiant rose color. As the cool breeze caused her hair to billow lightly it almost looked as if her hair were really made of fire. Her tough scales that covered her form turned metallic as their pigment shifted from a warm green to a pale gold. Her already golden eyes were consumed by a soft molten light that burned brightly. The runic tattoos on her cheek and arms had faded completely leaving her skin pure and untouched (save for the scar burnt upon the back of her hand.) She smiled confidently, her fingers slowly curling into fists as she unleashed her aura. A sliver light exploded around her sending the petals that managed to settle around her back up into the air. Her energy exploded out like a beacon. "...Well then, this is certainly going to take some getting used too..." She smiled, her usual gentle nature shining through with that timid little grin. Despite all the changes and all the mystical flare: Maeve was still Maeve. She seemed calmer however, as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. An arduous burden had been removed. She was finally free.

Ramina had sensed something strange going on; a huge event where there was a change, a drastic change, in one of the kis on the lookout. Of course the curiosity killed the cat, and the zoan decided to take the perilous climb up to the lookout. Sharpening her claws on a rock; the Zoanthrope sunk her claws into the pole and began to climb. With each paw, she was careful to keep her grip on the lookout for dear life.
The silver cat couldn't fly; so the natural thought was merely to climb. Her claws worked into the material of the lookout's base; rather hard to do so but determination kept the cat climbing. The sunlight bore down on her silver fur, causing her to sweat and her shoes to slowly slip off. Thankfully the feline wore a soft sky blue T-shirt and shorts today; it lessened the heat absorbed by her thick coat. Her coat shined in the light, yet she didn't back down.
It took her a while to reach the top of the lookout, chest heaving as she scratched her way onto the surface of it. Her chest heaved exhaustedly and her fur glistened with sweat as she looked around through vibrant orange eyes. The sacred ground would behold someone before her; a pregnant lizard lady. The pretty silver cat rested tiredly upon the surface of the smooth tile, before getting up. "Pardon me.. I sensed something going on up here and thought that the Kami could be in some sort of trouble.."

Breath taken away, the Arcosian stood still, rooted in place while the light finally died down in its intensity. There was an other-wordly jingle, and then silence. That was, until Maeve spoke. Indeed, she was the same, yet also... Not. Deciding to break the ice, Defrosch readjusted his posture. "Ssso what about your kid huh? Half god or," He looked over to Bing, and back to Maeve. "Entirely god? Snrrt.. Heheheh~" The Arcosian gave a chuckle and a wink, he was so glad that everyone was safe. Perhaps it didn't occur to him that he was cracking a joke in what is pretty much the most formal situation he could've ever come across in his entire life so far and likely the entirety of his life for the foreseeable future.
Akemi's judgement of Defrosch wasn't entirely inaccurate. Though he might not notice, bring attention to it nor realize it himself... He certainly was; 'something special'. After all, people typically do acclimate to those around them in some fashion.
After getting used to the feel of Maeve's ki after this awakening, as always, Defrosch was quick to notice a very slight shift in atmosphere as someone made their way... Up the tower, very slowly? "Um, I think that light show attracted some visitors..." Defrosch pointed to the side of the Lookout as someone had only just clawed their way onto the platform! A peculiar snow leopard Zoanthrope had arrived, which caused Defrosch to tilt his head in mild confusion. Their description matched something that Cerci once talked to him about in passing a few times when they were in East Capitol... They were Ramina, an owner of a very profitable and popular clothes store- something of a celebrity, effectively! "Huh, well I'll be... Apparently popularity attracts itself."

As the light faded from the glorious tree, a massive rain of petals fell from the sky, blanketing the Lookout in a sea of beauty. A perfect accentuation to the beauty Maeve herself had become. Though she had sprouted a few extra arms, which was a bit odd, she was still just as pretty as ever.
"Maeve... I..."
Bing slowly took to a stand, tears welling up in his still-organic eye as he stared at his Fiancee. With a burst of Ki, Bing rushed forwards, arms outstretched as he darted towards the newest Kami. He attempted to grip Maeve into a loving hug; one tight enough to keep her from moving, but loose enough to not cause her much discomfort. Should she be caught in his embrace, he'd look up at her, speaking with a mixture of glee and sadness in his voice.
"I'm so sorry! I left you behind for so long! I shouldn't have done that to you or the others. It was stupid of me, really stupid, I know that! But It's so good to see you again!"
He sobbed in the Kami's arms for a few more moments, before pulling back. He wiped the tears from his eyes, before speaking again. "Sorry... I just... I haven't had a chance to 'let go' since all of... THIS happened." He motioned to his robotic implants as he finished his sentence.
