In the middle of the day Athren had found himself sitting on-top of a skyscraper that found its hold near the very center of west city. He had probably already spent a couple hours up there or more. His feet hung down the concrete frame as Athren looked at all the humans below scanning them with his scouter as they went in and out of sight. He saw as automobiles went up and down the street and as the humans mingled and went shopping or simply walked to one destination.
Sighing he shook his head lightly. “You’ve got to be kidding. This is what this Planet has to offer? It’s home grown race has a power level that barely shows up on my scanner. Pathetic.” ~ I wonder what the power level of the strongest Earthling is. I doubt it could be much more than any of these chumps.~ He didn’t understand how the human race could live like this. They relied on machines instead of their own abilities as transport and they were pretty much defenceless against any of the opponents Athren had fought in the past. “ Such a foolish race. None of these fools could defend their planet when the time comes. Other than that serpent lady.. I could probably trash this place and conquer it myself.”
After observing some of the humans way of life he figured he would continue on his exploration of Earth. He hadn’t made it too far. At this point in time he’s seen the desert a mountain and a city. He wanted to see what kind of training environments this planet had and he also wanted to try and find a temporary residence that was excluded and out of reach from most of the humans. He didn’t like to be bothered so he was going to look for a place to best prevent that from happening.
~ Well, It’s time to get a move on. ~ Athren then planted his hands firmly on the very edge of the concrete that he sat on and and pulled strongly to send his torso flying out into the open air. Gravity naturally did its thing and pulled Athren’s torso down towards the hard pavement set down by construction workers. During his fall he had a little fun with it he began twirling himself around in quick little spirals.
A blond haired lady screamed out and pointed at the falling saiyan. “OH MY! HE MUST HAVE JUMPED!” This had brought every single human’s attention in the area to the currently falling Athren. Many of them trembled in fear as they waiting for a splat to happen.
Athren was nearing the ground at a very high rate of speed at the last possible second Athren used his ki to swoop himself up and fly a few feet above the traffic that occupied the street. He flew like this for a couple of seconds and examined some of the structures and stores down below. Finally he pulled up and flew straight into the sky, once he reached high altitude Athren level himself out and flew parallel with the Earth’s surface.
Sooner than later the ground beneath Athren went from concrete to grasslands. It was a nice change to get out of the city. Out here there wasn’t hundreds of thousands of people all gather at one place. It was peaceful and quite. The most Athren saw was tree’s, wildlife and a couple of dirt roads that the humans used. Otherwise there wasn’t too much. Homes and other buildings were few and far between. Nothing here had caught Athren’s eye as far as suitable training grounds went.
To Athren’s left was more fields and wildlife and to Athren’s right was the big blue beautiful ocean. Curious Athren turned and blasted towards the ocean. As he got closer he could hear the peaceful and calming noise of the ocean tides washing onto the warm beach sand of the Earth. “ I guess this planet does have a few good qualities.”
Flying over it for a few minutes he saw nothing but water and a few islands out in the midst of it all.
Nothing out there was suitable for training or living. He turned himself slightly and headed back to the shoreline. Although during his turn he lowered his altitude dramatically and flew just inches from the water. Trailing behind him was water spraying up from his Ki.
As he got closer to shore he turned with it and flew over the water while his eyes were scanning the shoreline looking for some kind of shelter for him to stay in. He had made up his mind that he wanted to be by the ocean so he could wake up seeing it every morning and listen to it as he fell asleep.
He followed the shoreline for miles before coming to something different. He found a spot where a small island lay a couple miles off shore, he flew out to it to begin an examination and see what the island was like. Raising his altitude he flew up above the island and stared down at it. The island had a nice open field with a small log cabin built on it. One corner of the small island was completely covered in trees and in the direction that the cabin faced was nothing but grass up until the shoreline. At the shoreline there was beach sand and a dock. It was made obvious that was how people got to and from there.
Athren then lowered himself until his feet touched the ground softly. Upon a second look at the grass it was quite long and unmaintained. It would have been a while since anybody had looked after it or cut it.
His attention going to the front door Athren walked up the porch and over to it. He grabbed the metal handle on the stained wooded door and turned it in hopes of opening the door. Unfortunately it was indeeded locked. Athren quickly thrusted his hand through the wood above the handle and unlocked it from the inside. He then pushed the door open as it squawked open.
Once open Athren walking inside. Once he stepped in a loud squeak from one of the wooden floorboards would have been heard from underneath him. The first room he entered was a living room. It had a couch, tv, a stero and a coat hanger right beside the door. Up on the walls were family pictures of who Athren assumed to be the owners. On the side of this room laid a tiny Bathroom with the necessities. It had a mirror , window, sink, shower and a bathtub.
In the next room was a kitchen with a stove, fridge, oven, microwave and cupboards and drawers full over eatery and silverware. Connected to the kitchen was the dining room with a circular table in the middle, around it sat four chairs and in the middle of the table sat a glass ornament of a deer.
Athren now turned his attention to the wooden steps that laid to his right. As he walked up them he completely ignore the wooden railings that stood on both sides of him. Once he got to the top he saw a hallway with a window at the end. In the hallway laid four open doors, two on each side. Walking to see where they lead he learned that they were all bedrooms that had been fully furnished with beds and closets. This place would make the perfect home for Athren and that was his intention. He was going to live here until something better came up. When and if the owners ever did show up he’d be forced to send them on their way or kill them, depending on how they acted upon seeing the saiyan warrior.
~ Well, This place is as good as any. It’s away from civilization and quite difficult to get too. I can’t imagine having many distractions show up at the door.. In the meantime I think I’ll get some rest though.~ Athren thought that it would be a wise choice for him to get some sleep. He needed it, he was going to push himself into hard training for the next few days to come. Now that he’s learned that somebody on this planet is stronger he intended to outclass them and prove that he’s better. He had a long way to go to catch up to her but once he did he fully intended to find her and fight her. To him the saiyan race was unbeatable and the best warrior race out there. In fact, Athren thought that the warrior race was the most superior race in general, but that was just his way of thinking.
Athren then walked to the largest of the bedrooms. He assumed that it was the master bedroom.
Slowly he crawled under the covers and set his head down on the pillow. Before he knew it he was passed out and firmly asleep.
