[Thread PL: 272,863|PL Suppressed: 5]
It was 12:00 AM. Etoru was hiding in the leaves of a tree...stalking his prey. A small dark figure ominously hopped around in the shadows of the night sky. The moon shone brightly in the forest and the cool night air seemed like the perfect weather to just take a stroll. But what sane person takes a stroll in the forest at 12:00 AM?! "There you go...you can't keep hiding forever..." Etoru had a sinister grin plastered to his face. The strange dark figure had scary red eyes and a strange hunched back as it stared right at Etoru! "GOTCHYA NOWWWW!!!!" The pint sized warrior jumped out from the tree and towards the shadowy creature. The young boy grasped both his hands around it and held it in the air giggling in joy. The shadowy figure was raised into the light of the moon. It appeared to be a fuzzy white bunny rabbit!
Etoru brought it to his cheek and began to cuddle with it. "Oh my goshhhh! You're SO SOOOFFFFTTTTT" Etoru twirled around gleefully and brought it back near his face. "I can train you to become a super tough warrior if ya want~ What's your name?" Etoru tilted his head while he stared at the bunny. The cuddly creature sniffled its nose in response. Etoru frowned. "Oh, so you're gonna be that way huh..." The bunny leaped out of his hands and onto his face. "E-Eep! H-Hey!!" Before Etoru knew it, the fuzzy animal hopped away. "Yeah?! I hate you too! Who needs him...I can find more friends..." He grumbled. With that all said and done, Etoru began to stroll through the dark forest in search for more cuddly friends. However...he wasn't aware that he was being watched.
Within the trees and bushes, hidden behind shadows and openings in the earth, were an organization of galactic criminals. The leader watched him from atop of a tree. He pressed his scouter and it began to read his energy. "Hmph...only a 5 eh...?" The leader mumbled to himself. He appeared to be a strange alien creature, fish like with a strange looking fin on his head and red eyes. He seemed rather bulky as well. "Only 5...? Sir are you sure that's the child we're after...?" The leader glared at his subordinate. "You doubtin me boy...?" The soldier gulped and shook his head fast. "N-No sir...! It's just...it doesn't look like this brat even has the POTENTIAL to turn into a Super Saiyan of legend...there's no way he's the child Super Saiyan everyone's been talking about..." The boss smirked faintly. "well, since yer new, I'll let ya in on a little secret...with enough practice, one can learn to control ki energy and are able to suppress their power....that's definitely the kid..." The soldier stayed quiet and watched Etoru.
"Ugh I'm so booorreeed..." Etoru groaned as he continued to stroll down the dark road. He almost jumped when a deer suddenly ran past him. It looked kind of frightened though...! "I wonder what it was running fro--" "Hello...~" A large, bulky looking red alien said while glaring down at Etoru with a crazed smile. Etoru blinked blankly. 'Oh um...hi?" Before he knew it, 20 more soldiers popped out of no where surrounding him! Etoru blinked confused. "Uhmmm..." They all got into fighting stances. "NOW BOYS!" One alien yelled. Two soldiers ran at Etoru and one attempted to kick him in the face. Etoru immediately ducked only to see the other one attempt to punch his lights out. The boy gently brushed his punch aside and rolled under his legs. "Um, what are you guys doing? Is this a fight or did I walk onto a movie set...OH MY GOSH AM I ON TV??!" Etoru smiled gleefully. He didn't know much about them, but he did know he only got on TV once and that's when he tried to run for the presidency for Earth in disguise of an old man.
The Soldiers growled lowly. "S-SIR! HIS POWER IS ONLY 5! HOW IS HE ABLE TO DO ALL THIS?! ARE THESE THINGS BROKEN OR WH---" Before that one poor unfortunate soldier knew it, his life was taken from him in a flash. Etoru yelped, seeing his head fly off his body and nervously took steps back. Despite his power, he was still only a child. and that sight frightened the boy. The leader of the pack slowly floated down onto the scene. "Hello...child." Etoru nervously backed up staring at the ominous leader. "You're probably wondering, why are we here? Well the answer's simple really...you're worth A LOT...of money boy. We've come to collect you, so why not just go all out and activate that little super Saiyan form of yours..." Etoru blinked confused, still shocked and surprised about the whole thing. He was just going to say no before the man instantly appeared in front of Etoru. Attempting to punch the boy in the face, the young Saiyan swerved to the left, letting the man punch the tree into bits.
The leader started to throw a barrage of punches Etoru's way which were easily dodged by the boy. "You're telling me not to hold back...but you're holding back yourself mister...!" Etoru frowned. The leader looked extremely shocked, in fact a look of fear appeared on his face for a moment as he realized this child was more than he could handle. Luckily a soldier appeared behind the boy and grabbed his tail. The boss blasted the man away and snatched Etoru's tail, holding the boy for himself. "Don't. Get in my way in a one v one...." The Alien leader grinned sadistically as he held Etoru in front of his face. Etoru's face looked super sleepy as he was unable to move any muscles whatsoever! Whatever will he do?!

Wow that post was longer than expected. Don't get confused and think you need a huge WC, just focus on your quality and you should be fine!
So I thought maybe giving you a group of bandits would be a fun way for you to show your stuff and rescuing Etoru~ Hope you like it! Also, I don't think we need to do the KP system unless you want to. I usually do those for PvP.

Max power leve: 4,000 <— To be continued
Tanis absolutely LOVED night time. It was a welcome change from the heat of the day; the light wasn't as harsh; people behave in a far more relaxed way... Well, except for the shady ones... Then again, wouldn't Tanis herself be considered somewhat of a deviant?
Tonight she wandered the forest not only for the delightful fragrance that was Earth's floral ecosystem; not only for the elegant theater that was the drama of wildlife. Those weren't the reasons she came... But either way she would stop for a moment and embrace it all. Her home was an arid wasteland of perpetual war had none of these alien delights. She wasn't sure where in the forest she was; Tanis wasn't sure how far she had strayed from the path she was meant to take. She narrowed her eyes, attempting to work where she should return to when familiar stimuli broke through the strangeness of her surroundings.
Tanis heard the all too familiar sounds of battle. It was close by. She would need to venture not more than a few lines of thick trees and tall grass to find a scene that disgusted her. Tanis had no powerful moral convictions, but the idea of a group of men picking on a boy — who the ki-deaf girl saw as harmless — pissed her off. Tanis didn't think to stop and ask questions. She acted.
Tanis gave not a warning as her Chang Dao (a massive yet maneuverable blade) was drawn in a forward rush. Her body tingled; goose bumps tore through her skin as the wonderful feeling of adrenaline kicked in. The woman's blade tore through the ground as she prepared an upward slash at the Mercenary's arm — the arm that held the boy by... The... Tail?
The sudden notice of the detail slowed and gave her sudden attack plenty of openings should they be skilled enough to take advantage of them.

Etoru was being hung upside down by his captor. The alien grinned ominously. "Ye...he'll make us a fortune I tell ya...." The man swayed Etoru left and right laughing loudly. The other soldiers began to laugh as well. It wasn't until a fairly tall woman, forget fairly, she was really tall, charged in! Her blade dug through the earth as she ran and heaved the large weapon upwards towards the leader's arm. The leader, acting swiftly, dashed backwards bringing the child with him. He narrowed his eyes at the woman. "Do you really want to interfere with our plans, Human ...." He chuckled a bit while the other soldiers laughed. "Here, tie him somewhere and DONT lose sight of him! I want him watched at all times." He handed the boy to another soldier, who was quick to act when it came to gripping his tail. Walking over to a tree branch, he hung Etoru upside down and tied his tail tightly to ensure that pressure was still being applied.
The young boy didn't have much pressure squeezing onto his tail as before, but it still limit his abilities to move around a lot and extend ki. "O-Owieee...w-why am I always upside down....." He whined. He tried to squirm but that only led him to yelp in pain. He was stuck. He stared at his would be savior. "You go get em miss...! S...Show those big bullies a thing or tw---OW!" It seemed being stuck on this tree would cause him to have random jolts of pain every now and then. Right now he had no choice but to depend on that mystery woman!
"Alright Human, since you decided to play pretty little hero~ you're gonna have to go through the obstacles all heroes face, but only this time, the hero doesn't win in this story..." He grinned mischievously. Putting his arms to his waist, he began to power up. A purple aura engulfed the alien and it began to flare wildly. Everyone's scouters started to go off wildly. His power level seemed to be 6,000! This would be an intense match up between these two warriors. Plus this man had his soldiers in case anything went wrong. The leader began to stop powering up and lowered his arms smirking. "Let's go..." He disappeared using his speed only to reappear right in front of Alison! He threw his knee, attempting to kick her gut in! How will Alison retaliate to this?!

It seemed Alison wasn't one for exchanging words. Her torso grew and shrunk as she burned through oxygen to sustain her fight or flight response. The blade-master watched as the men boasted and bragged. Her attention was not on them or their words. No, Tanis watched as the boy was tied. Something told her if they wanted him dead he would've been. No, it seemed they wanted him alive...
The man powered up, causing Alison to narrow her eyes, attempting to shield them from the numerous particles kicked up by the roaring aura Her muscles tensed as her grip tightened around her large blade, her fingers going white from the pressure. Tanis was ignorant; she was utterly blind to power levels, and she didn't own a scouter — or know how to operate one. 'Maybe if I cut him loose he can run... Hopefully he'd get away, but if not I'd have to fight less of these goons.' A grave mistake: giving in to deep thought in the eve of battle. The sword held diagonally from her was pushed aside as the mercenary zoomed closer and struck the preoccupied human.
Tanis felt the air rush from her lungs, her eyes widening as her body slowly lifted. 'S-such a sudden blow! B-bastard!' Time's flow seemed to squeeze and slow in that vital moment, though all it really did for her was give her a split second longer to curse herself.
Her grip already slipped from her blade, it took her a moment to understand what her body instinctively did. The massive weapon was no good at a battle of this proximity. The blade fell with Tanis, the two being separated in their descent. The woman soon found herself in her knee, her right hand clutched at her stomach. The armor had done a good job at softening the blow as to not simply know her out. She hardly spent half a moment to regain her strength. Instead she moved. Her hand wandered further from her belly, it reached for the left side of her waist. It reached for her Han Jian.
In a swift movement Tanis took hold of her short sword, pulling the decorated hilt from its sheath. Gathering her might and biting through the pain she did her best to 'leap' from her position, moving to the side to get a better angle on the boy. With a swift extension of her arm Tanis hurled the blade — or at least attempted to — at the rope binding the boy. She had no doubt in her aim; Tanis, however, did hope the men were not of the caliber capable of plucking her blade from the air. Or worse still: striking her before her swift movement had a chance to follow through.

Etoru yelped when he saw the woman get kneed in the gut. She was raised upwards from the force of the kick! "Uh oh..." She seemed to have slid back in pain while her blade went the other direction away from her. She was on one knee holding her gut. Etoru really wanted to help, but he seemed to be kind of useless with all this pressure on his tail...! Almost immediately however, she unsheathed her blade and dashed to the right! The leader grunted a bit confused to what she was doing. Before anyone even realized it, her blade was being thrown over to Etoru's rope. "H-H-HEY! THAT'S GONNA HIT ME!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!" The sword cut right through the rope and the child was let loose from his bindings.
Etoru giggled happily and rushed over quickly to the woman. He stood behind her cheerfully. "Thank you miss~!" The young boy seemed to stand a little over 3 feet tall and was dressed in a white tank top, black sweat pants, brown little shoes, and a green headband with the Serpent School logo on it. The two strands of the headband reached halfway down the little hybrids back. "My name is Etoru! Etooooru Aeum! Do you need me to help you fight these baddies~! I can help if ya want~! I'll help fight them, nooo sweat!" Meanwhile, the leader growled noticing that the child was now free. His purple aura flared around wildly. This was going to be quite the battle...!

Tanis used the distraction to shoot herself up, uppercutting. She gasped, speaking gibberish as her fist rose to contact the alien in a surprise follow up attack.
"Shoryuken!" She croaked out, the gibberish being nothing more than kiai.
Should the move have landed or not Tanis would feel the raw emotion of disbelief and a little anger come up.
"What in HFIL are you doing, kid?! Run!" She would then lunge herself at whatever merc was too close for comfort, trying to buy the child some time. "Go!"

The woman then launched forward to uppercut one mercenary. Etoru blinked blankly watching her. She landed, breathing heavily, before turning around giving the child a stern glare. "Get out...of here...? Uhm...I mean, you don't look like you can take all of these guys alone Miss..." He tilted his head. Then the sudden realization hit him. Yet another person judging him because he was a kid...! "HEY! I can handle myself THANK YOU VERRRRY MUCH." He snarled.
The young boy stomped forward, past the mercenary she kneed, and past her. He seemed to be in a bit of a crowded area with the soldiers. He smirked when a few ran at him. They started throwing a barrage of punches at the boy, who was pretty quick to dodge them all. The more impressive part was, he hadn't moved his feet at all! Dipping left and right and leaning back and front, the child laughed. "Come on~ Stop fooling around and just hit me already you guys~!" A few soldiers in the back were charging a massive blast however. "GET OUT OF THE WAY GENTS!" All the soldiers around Etoru bounced out the way. Etoru blinked blankly only to see 3 mercenaries charging a blast together. "Huh?" The large yellow beam soared towards Etoru, who simply just stood still confused. Raising one hand, he slapped the blast into the air, which eventually exploded after some distance of flying into the sky.
"Are...you guys um trying...I'm getting a little bored, quit messing around..." He frowned. Meanwhile, the leader of the group decided to go for the girl. Running at her, he attempted to fire 3 ki blasts at her following with an elbow to her nose. Should he succeed, she'd likely be sent flying into a tree, possibly with a busted nose.

'T-this kid needs a spanking!' she thought, frustrated as her efforts seemed to be in vain. He was back talking her! What an ingrate!
As the boy moved forward Tanis would attempted to reach and grab him back — but she stopped herself. The men and their reaction: they took him seriously? What? Why? There was a heavy cognitive dissonance within Tanis. 'But he is just a child! Tanis' remained still. Tanis made a swooping snatch for her blade, bringing it to herself as fast as possible; she had to stay vigilant, afterall Maybe there was something more to this. Battle-hardened men should not have removed their attention from her to focus on the child unless he was more than met the eye. Either way she armed herself, in case something went horribly wrong. Her lager blade came again into her grip, being held diagonally from herself.
Tanis felt her heart ache; she felt a sour, sinking feeling grow in the pit of her stomach. If something happened to this kid because she misread the situation... Her jaw clenched. Then... Dropped! The woman watched in disbelief as a flurry of punches were thrown — fated to find only air as the boy masterfully, effortlessly dodged them all. She was barely able to follow his movements! Her eyes slowly trailed lower as her heart nearly stopped.
"Y-you didn't even move!" Tanis exclaimed in absolute shock.
She rose her blade; the blade was held horizontally across her eyes to shield them from the light of the blasts which were then fired. She could not feel ki, but the tell-tale sound of the far off explosion told her all she needed to know: this was no child.
Tanis then heard the footsteps come her way and braced herself. Her muscles tightened and hew mouth shut.
"Right..." She hissed under her breath — she was a battle going on. She was lucky her blade was in perfect position to deflect the blasts, which were sent into nearby wildlife and vegetation. Little sprinkles of destruction falling over the bunch from the nearest one of the three explosions. Were their moves not so telegraphed Tanis surely would have had a broken nose, instead she attempted to dash to the side and swing a wide arc of her blade at the men's cores — attempting to cut down anyone close enough to her lengthy blade. Should any come from behind or above Tanis would find herself in a helpless situation.

She seemed quite surprised with Etoru to be honest. He blinked and looked at her confused. "Um...sure I did. These guys are really slow though...I don't even know what this is anymore. Are we sparring or is this some kinda joke...." Etoru looked around for a camera or someone hiding behind the scenes, the mastermind behind all this. But alas, he found nothing...! While searching, one mercenary threw a punch at his temple. It was strange because it seemed to phase right through Etoru! It wasn't long until he realized it was an afterimage, only to have Etoru appear in front of his gut, kicking his belly in. The mercenary soared through 20 trees before coming to a stop. The sight of that alone caused a few mercenaries to retreat. The brave ones however, stuck in the battlefield, loyal to their leader.
A few of those last remaining soldiers however seemed to be chopped down my Alison's blade! Etoru gasped. "H-Hey don't kill anyone....!" They seemed to be fine, only gash on their chests and arms. Before he knew it, he saw 3 mercenaries jump from above and behind her! INCLUDING THE LEADER! Etoru narrowed his eyes. In an instant he appeared in front of them. It seemed like slow motion really...! He kicked one in the side sending him flying somewhere far in the forest, and with that kick, he used it as a launch pad to bounce to the other one in the air. Raising his foot, he slammed it down on the mercenaries back only for him to land on the one that was behind Alison, that one, being the leader. Etoru slowly floated down blinking blankly as they looked extremely hurt. "Uh...m-maybe I over did it..." They looked extremely frightened, they wanted to speak but their mouths couldn't form words. "Your friends are hurt sir, you should just take them and go, see..." Etoru pointed back at the injured soldiers...who...miraculously...were gone. Etoru blinked. "Someone must of helped them...huh that was fast. They probably thought we were helping you too...!" He turned around, only to see them get up and fly away at fast speeds. "Oh...they probably had...to go...?"
The young boy looked up at the tall female. "Hiya~! You didn't tell me your name miss! Again, I'm Etoru Aeum!" He giggled a bit. "What are you doing out here, I was looking for some cuddly friends when those weird movie stars or pranksters or whatever showed up. Were you part of that movie too...?" He titled his head utterly confused. "If so, you really did a great job saving me...! But I dont get why they had to grab my tail...ouch..." He moved it in front of his torso, wiggling it. "Owie..." He pouted.

It was all over before Tanis could truly record. They lived. Well, presumably most of them. An ending too good for the likes of them. She swiped her blade against the air — away from the boy. The blood that stained it was now gone. Tanis fitted the blade neatly across her back. She made a mental note to retrieve her Han Jian from the tree she'd launched it in.
Her attention turned to the boy and his question. The mercenary wasn't entirely sure what she witnessed, but it was something she thought of as impossible.
"That was... Incredible." She basked, looking down at him with wonder. Tanis paid no attention to her aching stomach. She reached for his tail in a slow, composed manner. "What are you? Is this real?" She had a lot of question. So many questions.
Should the tail not be withdrawn Alison would grip at it carefully, rubbing a thumb through the fur. It was warm; it had a pulse. She retrieved her hand, adjusting her gear. "Was your father a monkey?" she wondered as she stood up, circling around the kid. She knocked against his head. "Not metal — right?" She asked. "Funny clothes too." Came a further note.
Tanis pulled away from ran over to a tree to pluck her blade and sheath it away. She turned, around. She half expected the boy to be gone: vanished. This could all very well be a bad dream, or a bad hallucination. Did she eat the wrong kinds of mushrooms along her forest trip?

Etoru blinked when the girl sheathed her blade. She looked frustrated but...that frustration turned into curiosity. She looked at the boy and spoke leaving him to shrug, being a bit confused. "Uhm...I guess it was...but I was using like 1% of my power..." The child really just thought it was some bad prank and they didn't want to really hurt anyone so they held back a lot. That was an odd thought really. When she asked the question, Etoru tilted his head. "What am I...uhm...yeah this tail is real...."
The girl reached her hand forward for his tail. Etoru recoiled slightly. "Erm..." The swordsman knelt down, a few inches taller than him even while crouched, and picked up his tail gently. When she put a little pressure on it, Etoru yelped, not liking the eerie feeling that his tail can be squeezed at any minute. "C-Careful please...it's really sensitive..." She brushed her thumb gently in the fur. Etoru couldn't lie, it felt rather soothing. She stood up again and adjusted her gear asking an irritating question. Etoru growled lowly. She then began to start circling the kid, staring and observing the boy. Etoru knew this feeling ALL TOO WELL! Why is it always him being observed like some sort of artifact...! She knocked on his head leaving Etoru to scrunch his face up. "O-Owie....! Ermmm!" He puffed his cheeks out stubbornly. Then when she commented on his clothes, his cheeks flushed. "They aren't silly..." He grumbled annoyed.
She ran to the tree to retrieve her blade. Etoru narrowed his eyes when she turned around and stared at him again. "Q-Quit looking at me like that will ya....!" The young boy pouted. "I'll have you know that I'm HUMAN. Nothing else, nothing more..." He huffed. This was gonna be one heck of a night... ---
Etoru commented on how much strength he was putting out.
Etoru felt a bit uncomfortable at her observing him. Now he's being a stubborn brat >_>

Tanis had no idea how to behave with children; she had the motherly instincts of a woodchiper. She did, however, understand the universal body language of annoyance. She'd irritated him, it seemed.
She took a moment to collect herself. Tanis took a deep, lungful of air. A few heartbeats later and it was exhaled. The massive woman had to put herself aside for a moment and deal with facts: the boy probably lost. He was immensely powerful. That told her two things: it was likely he needed help and she shouldn't piss him off. Hadn't he said something to her earlier? Oh, yes!
"I'm... Tanis." There was a pause before a not so fluent sentence followed up. "My friends call me... Tany."
That wasn't true. At all. She had no friends, not really. It's not that she didn't WANT any... They were just hard to come about. Suddenly an epiphany came to Tanis: She could practice her social skills now on the lost child! Yes! In doing so she might tame the situation, possibly make a friend, and get SOME form of training done!
Tanis attempted to correct her posture, standing slightly straighter. Her shoulders broadened; her chest widened.
"You're... Incredibly strong." She noted, "Bear with me, as this might be a stupid question: but are you hurt at all? You seemed very out of it when you were up against that tree." A hearty chuckle escaped Tanis. "You're not allergic to trees, are you?" A joke. A bad one. She also wasn't a very good comedian.
Was she trying too hard? Was she being silly? She hoped not.
Oh, it would likely help if she didn't look like a mess! Her fingers reached up to her neck, tracing a black metallic chain of her heirloom. Alison adjusted her necklace — the last bit, aside from her hair, that needed fixing. The pendant soon came to rest neately over the bulk of her armor. Once her hair no longer was tangled within the metal she was finally satisfied. In the mean the swordwoman did not yield in conversation: "I'm sorry, I don't know what a movie is — or what pranks you are talking about. I saw those men trying to hurt you so I rushed in... Are you sure you're okay?" she asked again. "Anyway, why I'm here? That's... A long story." She reached up behind her head, scratching at the crown of her skull. "I can tell you while I help you find your parents." She looked about, "They can't be far... Right?"

As Etoru frowned at her, she finally introduced herself. He stopped frowning and gave a look of curiosity. "Oh! Nice to meet you Ms.Tanis!" He bowed fast. "That's a neat nickname! I have a friend named Tania! I call her Tanie too!" He smiled brightly. The young boy stared, bemused, when she began to awkwardly adjust her posture. "Uhm..." The child, being directly under her, had trouble seeing her face with her torso popped out all macho-like. "Uh...I'm strong...? You're joking right Ms.Tanis...? I barely used any of my strength....again, that was like 1% or something..."
Etoru listened to her carefully. He scrunched up his face cutely when she asked the question. "Weeell...I'm not hurt, but my tail really hurts...." He pouted. Then, what seemed like a joke attempt, or a pathetic joke attempt anyways, was thrown at Etoru. "...H....Ha....haha...heh..." He scratched his head awkwardly. "Well uhm, no. I'm not allergic to trees. I'll have you know that my tail is super sensitive as I said before...! That's why I do not like ANYONE touching it." With that said, maybe Etoru thought he had a connection with her before considering he let her touch his tail.
The tall woman began to fix her hair. Etoru stared at her, completely confused on why she seemed to act so unnatural...! Finally fixing her hair, she started to talk about how she didn't know what a movie was, nor did she know if it was a prank, she just saw a bunch of guys picking on the poor boy and rushed in to be his savior. "Uhm well, thank you...! And for the record, I dont know much about what a movie is either, but from what I've heard, it's like...a super long show...! I dont watch shows either...." HE frowned and slumped his arms down sadly. Picking his head up, he blinked at what she said. "Parents....u-uh..." Etoru didn't know how to respond. He's kind of been on his own, with the care from various friends of course, for a while now. And when he did find his mother, he rarely sees her now...! She's been gone for 2 months. Etoru averted his gaze at the floor. "Don't have any..." He said a bit lowly.

Truth be told Tanis was macho-looking even without the bravado she'd worn. Broad shoulders, great height, powerful thighs, rough hands — hell, even she was she dressed was 'macho'! Combat boots; cargo pants; combat vest; black coat; fingerless gloves. The only thing assuring anyone she was female — aside from her voice — was the long hair. It fell over her shoulder, while the upper portion was tied into a pony-tail. Probably not to get into her vision during a fight. Her facial features were also pretty sharp; almost delicate. The excessive bust, and the wide hip-to-waist ratio were likely her most feminine attributes.
Her facade — or the little 'game' she played — were gone. Her torso deflated as her form and posture returned to normal. The reality of it all hit her hard when it came close to home. It helped her see him as just another human trying to make the most of it all.
"Oh, shit. I'm sorry to hear that..." The silence that extended between them was washed away by the rustling of leaves — a breeze picked up. Tanis bent to the side, reaching into one of her pockets. She'd draw from it a stick pink of gum, then another. She'd near the boy, offering him one of fragrant sweets — the delightful fruity auroma being further picked up by the wind. "If it means anything: my parents aren't around either." She confessed.
Her head picked up. She'd spot the head of one of the casualties. The grotesque scene was enough for her to suggest. "Hey, let's get out of here, eh? Maybe find a way out of the forest and grab a bite? On me. I'll tell you some of that 'long story' on the way."

"It's...um, it's fine..." He spoke out awkwardly. There was a few moments of just awkward silence. The young boy saw her lean to side only to pull out a packet of gum...? She offered the boy a piece. Etoru blinked and took it, only to hear her confess about her own parents. "Oh...sorry about that Miss Tanis..." He unwrapped the gum and tossed it into his mouth chewing happily. "But...I've always been fine alone I guess...! Mhm! No sweat~!" If it wasn't quite obvious now, it appeared that was his catch phrase.
Etoru smiled and nodded at her suggesting, not noticing what caused her to say that though. "Yeah sure! I'm suuuuper hungry! AND I LOVE STORIES! If it's good I mean~" He snickered. "And besides, I don't think anymore baddies wanna show up after what you did~ of couuuuurse I am the reason they wont come back cause, well, you know, I am the strongest warrior around..." He gave a cocky grin. It wasn't until a butterfly fluttered down and landed on his nose. Etoru's face had a hint of blue before he started screaming and running around in circles. "get it off get it off get it off!!!!!!!!!" He stopped running and started jogging in place from fright, bringing his knees up really high. His mouth seemed kind of wavy as he looked at the butterfly crawl towards his forehead. "M-Miss Tanisssss h-h-helppppppp...!" It seemed despite all that power within the child, he was still just a boy.
