Name: Kurri (As in; Curry)
Alias: Mr. K
Species: Zoanthrope/Saiyan
Gender: M
Age: 23
Appearance: He stands at roughly 5'4" in height. (if you can't see the image click here.)
History: Look back 23 years ago. A wandering Saiyan aboard a pod soared through space, his wounded form hidden behind the opaque purple view-port as it careened towards planet earth. His eyes closed, he let out a wavering sigh of relief as the atmosphere molded wild flames around his cockpit, perhaps he'd make it after all. Darkness fell quickly and softly over the saiyan as he slipped into unconsciousness, his pod crashing towards the earth until the inevitable impact shook the hull around him, unnoticed in his slumber. Not far from the city, a zoanthrope woman in her garden took notice of the crash that had just occured, the thunderous impact drawing her attention to the long wispy tail of smoke that painted a path through a cloudless blue sky down to the earth below. In the invisible undertow of fate, she ignored her better judgement and hiked out to the crash site, finding the Saiyan's pod, door ajar, and his battered form inside.
Upon discovering he was still alive she decided she needed to help, seeing no sense in leaving someone to die, stranger or not. The woman worked tirelessly to get him to her home where she would tend to him. Their meeting at first was shaky, but eventually names and thanks were shared, and over the course of her tenderness and care to get the saiyan back to health, a bond of love was shared too. Eventually they stayed together, their labors and passions eventually bearing a single fruit in the form of a child.
Born and raised on earth, Kurri is a half-saiyan zoanthrope raised fairly normally by both of his parents. Spending time gaining a sharp culinary education from his mother Chyacolat, and training in martial arts with his Saiyan father Habane. His chosen fighting style being relatively straightforwards, practicing the Goju-Ryu branch of Karate, and preferring physical temperament over normal use of Ki. However it's not to say Kurri lacks power with his Ki, learning to understand and control his power on a more mental level through meditation and education about his saiyan powers. As he grew, days not spent helping his mother cook for her food cart would be swapped for outings to fighting tournaments with his father, putting his teachings into real practice.
Kurri slowly grew into a minor popularity as he gradually conquered a healthy number of tournaments, and was often regarded as the "Culinary Combatant" in the arena's walls. However through his own modesty he began to realize his saiyan blood put him often times above his generally normal, but certainly well trained and conditioned opponents, causing him to doubt the validity of his success in local tournaments against the other martial artists in his town, feeling as though he had an unfair advantage. This began to demotivate his will to continue fighting competitively, eventually making his last appearance at a city-wide official tournament partly due to pressure from his father, and partly due to his own scheming where he progressed as far as the semi-finals and finally threw a match against a martial-arts superstar for the sake of avoiding publicity, and an easy-out to stop participating in fighting tournaments.
In his late teens he decidedly moved away from home, on unsure grounds with his father who urged him to continue practicing martial arts. Giving most of his tournament winnings to his parents to support his mother's business, and keeping just enough to go live on his own in a small but relatively pleasant home near the city, mostly keeping up with odd jobs before eventually opening a small food cart of his own, which became known for it's flavorful but sometimes outrageously spicy food. To the best of his ability, Kurri kept training primarily alone, keeping his body in good condition between carrying his cart and outings into the woods just to see what would pick a fight with him. These trips eventually lead to the development of his more refined use of Ki, creating his signature attack; "Ghost Pepper Gatling". Which was his trump card against the more threatening creatures among the wildlife, which through his best efforts he would try to spare, as pointless killing was most certainly not his style.
In time Kurri's fighting spirit gradually rekindled itself, albeit slowly as the responsibility of being a Saiyan, even if only half, weighed heavy, and he understood the potential power lurking somewhere inside of himself could greatly change his life for better or for worse. He found it hard to accept the role, aspiring to be exactly what he thought himself instead. A Karate-fighting Chef, but one's desire and one's fate are two very different things...
