It had been like any other day. Fate was walking through the woods, trying to clear his head of the horrors he witnessed last night.
Nightmares.
He had them every once in a while. With each one he lost more and more of his sanity. They were always about the day his mother died. He just wanted to forget that day. He used to cry himself back to sleep after waking from a nightmare. That, however, was a long time ago. Now, he was different. He forgot how to cry, how to feel, how to love. Now, his life was horror and nothing more. Normal teenagers would just run from death. Fate is the one who causes it. He kills without caring about the lives of his targets family and friends. What if they had families? He doesn't care. He sees a threat and kills them without a second thought. It's his unconscious reaction to troublesome opponents. So far he hadn't met a threat strong enough to oppose him. Other than Oni of course. His opponents were either weak humans or overconfident idiots. He had seen phenomenal power though. At the Peace Conference, there were beings who far surpassed him. Humans, Demons, Hybrids, Aliens, and even humans. They had serious power. Power that he wanted. The power to kill any threat in an instance. He needed to gain that power to fulfill his mothers dreams. To become the unstoppable force she always thought he would be come. First however, he had to survive his next encounter.
Why hello there.
Fate turned around as he heard a woman's voice. He was met with the sight of a kimono wearing woman.
He was awestruck. Not because of her beauty or anything like that, but because she chose to wear a kimono in the forest when it was around 95 degrees outside. Might there be a festival nearby?
Hi, now leave me.
I need to come with me.
What are you talking ab- Was all Fate could say before the woman punched him in the face. The punch sent him flying through several trees before he recovered. He wiped his nose and examined his hand, finding a substantial amount of blood.
'How did she move so fast? I couldn't even see her.'
Fate dodged a blue ki blast that was aimed at him. He jumped and rolled but when he was standing, he was met with another punch. This time to the stomach. He felt no pain, just a void, as the air rushed from his lungs. He fell to his knees, coughing and wheezing. He looked up to find the girl smiling at him.
Master Kaira, requests your an audience with you. It'd be rude to not accept his invitation. Will you come willingly or shall I use further force.
As if I'd ever go with you! Fate yelled as he charged at the girl. His body engulfed in an intense white aura.
Interesting, you're six times stronger than the data stated. But I must bring you to master.
The woman stood her ground as Fate charged. When the two meant they exchanged punches and kicks faster than the untrained eye could see. The mere force of there strikes emitted a strong wind that blow through the forest. Fate was sent flying again. He slowly stood up. He was covered in bruises, cuts, and a lot of blood. His body became engulfed in red lighting as he began to charge his family's signature skill.
Genocide Bur-
Moving at inconceivable speeds, the mysterious woman charged at Fate and struck him in the neck. The red lighting vanished as Fate gasped and hit the ground with a thud. He laid unmoving.
You're powerful for an organic life form. Hybrids are rare these days as well. Master Kaira, what is it that you want from this boy. She said to herself as she picked up Fate's limp body and flew into the air.
-Time Lapse-
Fate awoke, his body aching, as he tried to remember what happened.
'I was attacked and knocked out by some woman in a kimono. She was so powerful though, what was she? And where's my sword?' Fate thought as he observed his surroundings.
He was in some dining room. A really big one, like the ones you normally see in mansions. He was sitting at one of the far ends of a really big dining room table. He tried to stand only to find his arms and legs strapped to the chair by chains. The chains themselves let off a ghostly orange glow. He could tell they were limiting his Ki.
You're awake, good. Master will be here shortly.
Fate looked to his right, the Kimono-wearing woman was standing against a wall, looking a him. She still had that smile on her face. It was beginning to creep him out. How had she beat him so soundlessly.
Who are you?
The name given to me by Master is Syn. I was sent to retrieve you. After I beat you a little.
Why did he tell you to beat me?
"To show you what Syn can do to you should you try anything."
Fate turned towards the new voice. It was a man in a lab coat. Maybe it's this "Kaira" he's been hearing about.
Are you Kaira
"Yes, I am. Pleased to me you. You've obviously met Syn already." Said woman is standing next to her master. "Now as for why you're here, I have a request. Refuse and Syn will kill you"
Well I don't have much of a choice do I. You've already limited my power.
