Thread PL: 49,622 | HW OFFThe cool spring air flowed through his wild red mane as his rocketed through the sky. His power had increased so much in these past few weeks that even he could feel it, it felt as if his body was brimming over with boundless energy! His aura was a bright red color, and had the look of flames licking up from his chiseled form like slithering snake tongues. This meant the power was there...but the warrior was calm. He'd headed out this way for a reason, though he knew not why for a while. At least he was in the dark until he flew over the filled arena once more, the familiar white stone making up the ring seemingly like a set of welcoming arms to the battle tested warrior. As he slowly floated down, his aura subsided, seemingly absorbed back into his flesh. The stone was warm under his bare feet as he stood there, soaking in the cheers of the hundreds of fans who'd watched his battle with Etoru, a smile forming on his face. He swept an arm through the air and bowed at the waist, addressing the people as the announcer made her announcement. "Oh look at this suprise! Ladies and gentlemen, once again we are joined by the Crimson Haired Warrior...straight from Fukkuroh Forest, weighing in at 235 pounds...Sanguinis!" The crowd roared. Obviously, his battle with the young hybrid had left them impressed, especially since he'd won said battle. Forfeit or not, it was not everyday that a mere human could best a Saiyan hybrid. She turned to Sangu. "Mister Sangu, what brings you back to the Tenkaichi Budokai Grounds?! Especially during Dragon Gate One?!"
In a show of, well, showmanship the Human did a few quick katas to light up the crowd. His movements were as swift as a rattle snake yet graceful like a crane. He would simply answer, with a boisterous laugh. "I have come...ONCE AGAIN...to test my skills against Earth's finest warriors! For we are all in this together, and how do we expect to become great if we do not test one another?!"He'd watched prize fights on TV a lot lately. The boxer hit bit a guy's ear. The one guy who got shoved down the fan's throats but was expected to be cheered. Yes, Sangu was issuing an open challenge...but had he bitten off more than he could chew?

A specific hybrid was curious about the Southern Islands of Earth. The hybrid currently lived within the Eastern Lands, often surrounded by greenery and bountiful wildlife. Often enveloped by oceans and major seas alike, the Southern Islands were a vastly different sight to behold for the hybrid, along with his wife. The seaweed woman Phae Waterfield, now 2 months pregnant, gently rested atop her hybird husband Celmaru Waterfield, constantly securing his partner as he flew. Previously, the couple could easily reach a maximum velocity via flight of an approximate one hundred miles per hour, or even greater, most likely. Since the duo embryos have begun to form beyond such a minuscule state of mere cells, the hybrid didn't dare attempt to reach anything above a simple thirty miles per hour. " You could've remained at home, you know." " I refuse to do so." " I don't think our children will thank you." " If they're truly your children, they can handle a few flight sessions!" " I'm scouring the Earth out of curiosity, Phae." The effects of pregnancy had already begun to become noticeable. Fortunately, this wasn't as troublesome as the end result would surely be, however this wasn't the main attraction for today. An audible cheer was heard from below, upon a relatively large island. A solitary arena stood atop the island in question, a crowd sitting soundly around its surface. As if on cue, the hybrid heard an audible shout for a worth challenge. Celmaru's lips curled into a weak grin as he began to suppress his Ki. The hybrid began to descend rather swiftly as Phae was briefly informed of what her husband was to attempt. ' I'll just surprise him...or at least attempt to. Nothing too special.' ' Understood husband~' Detaching herself from her husband's frame, the seaweed woman gently floated towards the grassy soil beside the arena. The crowd nearby mumbled softly among one another as Phae appeared, wonder if a pregnant woman was the true challenger here. Albeit moments later, a noticeable shadow became more opaque by the second, expanding rapidly as if it were gray matter. A sudden, thunderous crash became immediately audible from a few mere yards beyond Sanguinis, a massive cloud of dust and loose debris accumulating around the hybrid. Several shocked gasps escaped the crowd as the dust cleared, revealing a young hybrid Saiyan, crouched over in his original landing position. Slowly shifting his gaze towards the issuer of the challenge, Celmaru stood upright, folding his arms as if nothing happened. " I suppose I heard correctly? You issued a challenge within the subject of Martial Arts, yes?" " Ah, please disregard me, I'll be here to spectate!" The seaweed woman waved her feminine hands about dismissively, sending the attention towards her husband. The hybrid scratched his head sheepishly, never one to be accustomed to attention. Mentally preparing for another opponent's fighting style, the hybrid shifted atop his feet, staring towards Sanguinis intently. This challenge would either embarrass the Human Sanguinis, or educate the hybrid Celmaru of a Human's potential prowess; regardless of either outcome, the fight would surely begin soon. " Alright....shall we begin?"

There may have been a few times in the life of Sanguinis when he questioned his own judgement. But this particular moment wasn't one of those times. He looked at Celmaru, studying what he believed to be a regular fighter. Just like himself, the man seemed human. He looked between Celmaru and his wife, a smile coming over his face. "A new challenger has arrived, eh?" The crowd cheered, their memory of Sangu's incredible battle with Etoru still relatively fresh in their minds. Sanguinus had come to enjoy their adulation, heck, he loved coming to the arena. He could feel the blood, boiling always, rushing through his veins. He was definitely ready for a challenge, though he was slightly concerned. Celmaru was weaker than him, or so his sense of ki had told him. He looked at Phae. "Ma'am, are you sure you want your husband to fight me? I mean...I don't want to hurt him..." he looked back at Celmaru. "No disrespect intended, sir. Just...you seem a bit weaker than I, and I really don't want to injure you."This wasn't stupidity, but more so concern for what he thought was a human. A human who he may or may not slightly have a power edge over. Why should it have been an unfair fight?
Of course, there were the cheering fans all around them. The little boy with the sign with HIS name on it. Seeing that Celmaru was dead set on accepting his challenge, Sangu's smile faded. He wouldn't ever NOT take an opponent willing to fight seriously. "Alright...I can see there is no way around this. I appreciate your acceptance of my challenge, warrior. So I am going to even up the odds a bit for you so we can have a fair fight..."He studied Celmaru for a moment, trying to match the man's power simply by guessing. Celmaru...well, he would feel Sangu's power drop a bit, syncing up with his own power. Sangu staggered his stance a bit and bounced from foot to foot, excitement burning in his green eyes. "Alright...let's do this then...I'll even give you the first strike, kay?" He narrowed his eyes...thinking. "Sheesh. His wife is more powerful than he is...I'd hate to have to fight her!"

Celmaru stood with his arms folded, listening to the Human's words as he spoke to Phae. Sanguinis appeared to be more perceptive than he originally appeared to be; given his boisterous call to battle. The seaweed woman, however, simply smiled warmly towards the Human warrior, dismissively waving his doubts away. Both the hybrid and seaweed woman knew that Celmaru was simply gauging the challenger's judgement, moreover his perception of Ki; along with if he could notice a heavily suppressed power or not. " No, please feel free to combat against him as you wish...he can handle himself." Sanguinis proceeded to avoid offense from the hybrid, noting his weaker Ki compared to his own. Celmaru unfurled a hand from betwixt his forearms, waving his hand about in a similar dismissive wave. The hybrid would retract his palm once he spoke, informing the Human of his seemingly reckless disregard for his safety. " You're rather perceptive to know that I'm married...without an introduction for that matter...however please, don't worry about my well-being. You'll have your own to be concerned over if the Saiyan Solar Empire invades once more. However be wary of those you challenge..." The hybrid's tone held an air of light instruction as he concluded his statement, his voice directly echoing towards the Human warrior. " ...As some of them might be hiding something." Proceeding the Human's acceptance of his challenge, alongside his preparation for the oncoming battle, the hybrid spread his feet apart from one another. Shifting his arms to each bend at their respective elbows, concluding their movement by clenching together into fists, Celmaru began to adopt a new stance. Another experiment of his concerning combat, the hybrid was offered the introductory strike. Nodding in a subtle fashion in response, Celmaru formulated a beginning pattern to follow; another non-established form of physical combat. Phae, meanwhile, hoped to contact Sanguinis prior to the match, however she accidentally eavesdropped on a slight comment within the Human's mind. Giggling to herself before she decided to reply mischievously, the seaweed woman responded to Sanguinis' seemingly private remark. ' ...I heard that~' ' I recommend keeping your guard up around my husband, he's not going to be underestimating you, like you seem to be~'
Inhaling for a mere moment, exhaling the next, the hybrid vanished, his Trained Potential being unleashed within the moment he vanished into thin air. The sudden increase in Ki nearly eliminated the hybrid's Ki Setting, however the moment called for subtlety rather than blatant gloating. A sudden gust of wind picked up as Celmaru reappeared before Sanguinis, his arms folded alongside his right foot attempting to strike his opponent's stomach. Celmaru grunted slightly as he leaned back, the significant gust of wind whipping at his obstinate locks of hair. " I do hope that you can remove that suppression of yours rather swiftly. Regardless, it seems that you didn't prepare for a Ki enhancement within your opponent. The SSE would eliminate you swiftly before you could adapt to such an increase mid-battle...please take this battle as a learning experience." Whether his initial attempt to strike his opponent's stomach failed or not, Celmaru would follow it up with a swift flurry of kicks; most of which involved the point of his toes, intent upon jabbing at his torso slightly. Swinging his feet upwards, down, whipping around in a brief roundhouse, etc...the hybrid refused to use his hands in this introductory barrage. Several points atop the Human's torso were targeted, including, albeit not limited to: pectorals, abdominal muscles, even his collarbone and kidney. Telepathically contacting Sanguinis himself, the hybrid thought to his opponent. ' If you don't mind my asking....did you believe that I was Human? I understand that my appearance would persuade you to believe so, however you'd only be fifty percent correct. If you push me to a certain point....you'll see the other half of my genetic structure.' Vocally calling towards his opponent, Celmaru asked him another simple inquiry. " To make this a little more intriguing...how about you answer a few questions." Ceasing his speech for a moment, the hybrid formulated several trivia questions to meddle with the typical competition within these battlegrounds. Celmaru's inquiries began with technologies; computers. " What are the seven major components of a personal computer? I'll begin with a simple one....the case." If Sanguinis were to retaliate, the hybrid would make several attempts to either evade or block any sort of physical strikes heading his way, otherwise he would leap backwards, thrusting each arm forward in a simple barrage of Ki Blasts. In the meantime, the hybrid would simply begin the match with a rather unorthodox format; trivia and beatdowns!

His mouth dropped open as he heard the woman's voice penetrate his psyche. Truly and honestly, it wasn't something he was expecting as he didn't even know that telepathy was a possibility. He'd only heard of such things in science fiction comic books...the ones his brother used to read. He frowned slightly, his thoughts travelling back about fourteen years. The last time he'd seen Hemo, the child was reading one of those "stupid comic books". He didn't know that day that this moment with Hemo would be his last. No. He'd be carted off by an evil arcosian, to be blackmailed into murder.
Sanguinis wasn't your average human from birth, born under a crimson "warrior's moon". Even those who couldn't sense power, they could feel his potential. Yet Noone had ever drilled into his mind like Celmaru's significant other.
The human shook it off, and steeled his resolve, responding to Celmaru verbally as he questioned why he wold assume he was a human and that he was human. "First of all, you look like a human to me...but of course, I agree that I could be wrong. After all, Saiyans look like Earthlings...only...bulkier, with stiffer hair." He then motioned toward the obvious relationship between Phae and Cel, the way one had arrived right after the other. "As this beautiful lady had confirmed, in my mind...somehow...you guys arrived together. I assume you're not family...but...any-"His eyes narrowed. Perhaps this Celmaru, this warrior...he wasn't so weak after all. But what confirmed this for him was the speed at which Celmaru drove his fist into Sangu's stomach...Sangu's control over Ki was a major point of his skill, as he recovered quickly. He dropped his suppression, phasing in and out as Celmaru's flurry approached him...bam! He slid backwards, feet nearly leaving the ring as he blocked the last punch.
Panting, Sangu shook his head..."Okay...perhaps I did underestimate you. I-" he cracked his neck, and hopped back and forth on both tiptoes. "-am more than willing to play your little game, sir. I'll give you one of the most important parts of a personal computer! Motherboard! But-" his lips curled upwards, into a smile as he spaced his feet apart. "-if we are to truly do battle, then...there's something I've been meaning to test out. Pay close attention. Most of our kind cannot do this without damned near killing themselves."That last part of his speech was stated as calmly, and as plain as day. Celmaru would be able to see his muscles tense slightly as he mimicked his pose, the air around the Ace of Diamonds wavering like heat rising off a scorching pavement...thump thump...thump thump...faster...his aura slowly turned red as his power began to skyrocket...thump thump thump thump...he could feel the pain in his muscles as they expanded, the pebbles surrounding his feet rising...and suddenly..."HAAAAAAAAAAA!" His aura exploded outward, like a red supernova, the ground under his feet depressed...
He circled Celmaru a moment, as calm as a still pond, yet brimming with energy..."Mother board...network cards...graphic cards..." in a blaze of speed he bursts forward and lifted a knee, followed by an elbow aimed toward his jaw, calmly naming off parts. "...processor...hard drive..." spinning on his pivot leg with a legsweep. "...USB ports...monitor ports!"
Depending on which of his attacks struck through, Sangu would either go for an uppercut or take a hit in the process...

" As I appreciate those around me noticing my lovely wife's beauty, I do often find myself agitated...that I somehow find myself convincing myself that they're making a move...I do hope to refrain from assaulting you for such reasons. Well, we are direct family, albeit still indirect- er...its a long story, to say the least, we can both inform you of the tale later." The nearby crowd began to cheer at the commencement of the battle, however the hybrid had a creeping feeling of self-consciousness appearing as he noticed the utmost extent of the crowd that surrounded the two. Celmaru grumbled slightly, hoping that he hadn't done anything embarrassing or unnecessary. Shaking his head to remove thoughts of the crowd, the hybrid listened to the Human accept his game of trivia, stating an important fragment of the personal computer; the motherboard. " Ah! So you do know something about technology...what a wonderful sight to behold!" The immediate retort by the hybrid was swiftly replied by the Human, however he had something hidden within him; a struggle that would usually end in a near-death experience, or worse. Adjusting his folded arms, the hybrid floated away from Sanguinis as he began to unleash his focused power. Violent gusts of wind whipped away at both warriors as it raged around them, forcing Phae's seaweed locks to billow outwards behind her and around her figure rapidly. A scarlet aura surged to life from within the Human warrior, along with the Saiyan excitement in the hybrid's eyes. A dormant excitement burst aflame as Sanguinis went on the offensive, initiating a rather defensive stance from the hybrid. Guiding his right hand near his chest, extending its respective fingers into a clawed shape, his left hand clenched into a fist. The hybrid's left arm was bent as its respective elbow, alongside his right forearm. Celmaru had begun to use another stance, releasing a slight amount of force of his Ki Suppression, allowing a more even fight, regardless of the sudden Ki enhancement. The winds finally, and completely died out as the Human opponent shot forwards, listing computer hardware as he enacted a physical assault. Sweeping his right foot along the arena's surface, Celmaru attempted to catch his opponent's knee with his clawed right hand, a faint buzzing of his Ki audible nearby. As Sanguinis' elbow approached his chin, the hybrid felt somewhat bold, promptly crouching further as his true strength flared to face the light of day for a fraction of a moment, taking the strike head-on. Celmaru didn't flinch as Sanguinis' elbow rested upon his forehead, the hybrid's power immediately diminishing away to its suppressed state once more; most would have little time to notice such a flare. The hybrid's lips curled into a brief grin as he stared at the Human. " ...Are you enjoying this match between us?"
" Well, it appears its time to fight a bit more seriously...as it appears you have, as well." Celmaru's Ki Suppression had allowed his Trained Potential to reach the approximate level of his usual state, however the hybrid still held back; for Sanguinis' sake. Encircling multiple times, disappearing and reappearing rapidly, the hybrid avoided the uppercut that the Human attempted to inflict upon Celmaru with immediate ease. Dust and loose debris began to accumulate, fluttering upwards from the noticeably increased velocity. Phae, meanwhile, found herself sitting in midair, her head in her palms with a content smile upon her facial features. The hybrid husband had certainly become vastly greater in strength over the past few months, however there was something missing as the events of this battle transpired; a true, blazing rush of adrenaline that shoved Celmaru past his limits. At the moment he's simply both intrigued and mildly excited over the Human's performance, albeit this was one of the hybrid's more satisfying matches over the past few weeks. The hybrid himself, however, was busy whittling away at Sanguinis. Making attempts at striking his Gluteus Medius, External Oblique, Trapezius and even Sanguinis' Biceps Femoris would be made repeatedly and in a seemingly ceaseless manner. Other nearby areas of the Human anatomy are also viable to be struck, however at the moment, Celmaru was proving a fatal mistake that his opponent made mere moments ago; underestimating the current opponent. " Next Question! What sections of the Human anatomy am I attempting to strike at the moment? I'll toss you the more difficult one; the External Oblique!"
Ki Setting lessened (early in the post): "Base" PL was set to 35,000! Suppressed TP PL would be 140,000!
Ki Setting lessened even further (remainder of the post): "Base" PL was set to 60,000! Suppressed TP PL would be 240,000!

"I meant no harm in complimenting your wife anyway, sir. To fight for such petty reasons would be beyond you, especially if you are sure of her feelings for you." The powerful Sangu would reply to his statement. "As for the tale? I would love to hear it some day. You and I can perhaps be friends..." he took a defensive stance, a smile crossing his face. "...maybe even rivals."
His adrenaline pushed his heart rate to a fast, yet steady beat. He could feel that warrior's blood rushing through his body and Sangu couldn't be more proud of himself as he turned his body slightly in midair as Celmaru attacked his hip. Blocking the attack with his shin, his next movement would be to catch Celmaru's other fist as it neared his side, pushing against the hybrid a moment, the two warriors coming eye to eye. "Your knowledge is boundless, sir. But your movements become predictable to someone who has studied anatomy well enough to know what what a gluteus medius is!" His aura flared and blended with Celmaru's for a moment, the two repelling one another.
Sangu growled as he darted forward, dropping low on his pivot leg and spinning with a fist heading toward Celmaru's thigh, the following being Sangu coming up from that with a sharp knee aimed at the hybrid's lower abdomen. Had the knee hit, Sangu would have used this moment to begin using a new technique...even Celmaru would have noticed it, his power slowly rising as the two fought.
His right fist began to glow with ki as he opened up with a flurry of punches and kicks, giving the barrage one hundred percent of his power.

" Such evident respect after meeting mere moments ago, what a gentleman you appear to be." ' I appreciate the compliment, Sanguinis~' The hybrid noticed that Sanguinis, albeit fighting fiercely, appeared more calm than he would within a typical battle. The Human warrior spoke calmly, hopeful to hear the tale of the couple's joining in holy matrimony...and how their misadventures began together. It was a surprisingly nice gesture, however there was still a match to be fought. As the hybrid commenced his assault, Sanguinis evaded injury via his knee, that of which prevented Celmaru from proceeding with his combination of strikes. Dismissing the first failure, the hybrid continued, thrusting a clenched fist forwards; unfortunately only to fail. The hybrid wasn't concerned, given his potential folly, rather he was intrigued by his opponent's knowledge; that of which didn't involve combat directly. Computer hardware, and even anatomy; Sanguinis was truly a refreshing sight. Matching their gazes for a mere moment, Celmaru noticed a swift sweep of a thigh; his vision twisting sideways upon its impact.
"Hmm....going to have to practice a bit more on evasion once we arrive home..."
Celmaru, as hyperactive his mind often was, prepared for both a simple followup, alongside a constant barrage in a mere counterattack. Tossing his palms downwards, maintaining flight upside down, the hybrid slapped his palms against his opponent's as Sanguinis' barrage began. Meanwhile, Phae floated around the arena, spectating within a closer proximity than the others around her. The hybrid hastily blocked an attempted strike at his thigh, proceeding to evade a blow to his abdomen; swiftly floating backwards, allowing the Human to fall forward if possible.
'Hmm....what to do- ....hm?'
A slight shift in Sanguinis' Ki became noticeable to Celmaru, a greater focus being put upon it. Mentally sighing, the hybrid allowed his frame to be pelted with simple strikes as his opponent's fist began to glow. The hybrid didn't react, stoic and remaining afloat. Moments would pass...
...As Celmaru's afterimage faded. The image of the hybrid vanished into thin air as the true appearance of the halfbreed warrior revealed himself further away; several yards beyond where Sanguinis stood. With his arms folded, the hybrid spoke aloud to his opponent, being completely honest with him. " ...I will admit one thing as of now.....I haven't been using my full strength. I do truthfully apologize, and to express as much; I shall allow you to strike me with that technique you've been accumulating energy for. I do offer one question before you do so, however..." " How powerful do you think I truly am? I also apologize if that seems either pretentious or arrogant in any way....however I do wonder how my opponent perceives me." As Celmaru concluded his speech, he fell silent. The hybrid wouldn't utter a word until his opponent would strike him via his technique. It seemed fortunate that Phae was still open to conversation. ' ...I do apologize if my husband creates any inconvenience for you, Sanguinis. We surely can have a nice conversation after this, alright?' The seaweed woman smiled silently, a slight chirp in her non-existent step. Admittedly, Phae was lost within the beat of an simple tune, her throat emitting soft hums as the fight progressed. A rhythmic tune, albeit simple, was enough to distract Phae from the vast crowd around her husband; most of which were staring at his body, most likely. The seaweed woman tried her best to prevent a mass avoidance of eye contact, simply due to her subtle obsessiveness over her hybrid husband. Hopefully this match would end soon, for her sanity and her own sake.

The warrior Sangu's wild red hair whipped in the wind, sweat pouring from his brow as the attack had reached it's peak. Phae would have noticed something if she tried to read the mind of Sangu in this moment and it could either be a bad thing for Celmaru, or downright scary. There was no inner voice inside the mind of Sanguinis. No. What Phae would see would be a plain, blemish free, painted white wall. The warrior's facial expression had gone completely blank as he opened the distance between the powerful hybrid and himself by leaping back. Up until now, it'd felt as if Cel could predict his every move. But as he stood there now, he was a blank slate. He was unpredictable. His hands aglow, he held one up above his head and the other at his right hand side...then swept both in a slashing motion, first two blades speeding toward Celmaru. His momentum carrying him, he would fire off a third by spinning, then another...and another. It was literally as if he had thrown one hundred blades of Ki at Celmaru but this wasn't the only part of his plan. No. Still with a blank slate of a mind, he charged forward at Celmaru at top speed. This is where things would get complicated as he thought of a left jab, but attempted a right knee to the stomach. If the unexpected knee connected, he pictured himself going for an elbow next, Celmaru undoubtedly would have tried to dodge to the side, but instead would bring his left knee up right between the eyes of the hybrid...he couldn't predict his moves, but he could predict his own. Sangu's warrior tribe were expert strategists. He'd learned how to use his own moves to anticipate his opponent's next move. In his firey heart of hearts, he wanted to win and this much, Phae COULD sense no matter how blank Sanguinis kept his mind. In the last part of his combo, he bent his knees slightly and his right hand would become ablaze. His body brimmed with Ki as he finally spoke. "FIST OF JUSTICE!!!!"

Sanguinis' silence created an awkward moment between the two, albeit short-lived. Tilting his cranium forward quizzically, the hybrid could only wonder why the Human was proceeding so silently. Phae, however, felt somewhat upset that Sanguinis hadn't responded to her, seemingly ignoring her initiated conversation. The opposing warrior leaped away, his facial expression blank. Quirking a brow towards his opponent, Celmaru outstretched his arms beside him; leaving himself wide open as several blades of Ki were hurled his way. ' I'll follow my word, despite this potentially leaving me at a disadvantage.' One became two, two became three, three became well beyond fifty as the technique unleashed its true potency. The energy blades lashed at the hybrid's figure, tearing away at his clothes and skin tissue. Fortunately for the hybrid husband, the majority of these blades left minor scratches and red marks; nothing major. Yes, they stung, albeit not much. An audible, albeit brief squeal emitted from Phae's lips, the seaweed woman becoming fearful of her husband's physical condition. Phae clasped her hands atop her lips, hiding a concerned facial expression. Despite Celmaru's outer appearance, suggesting obvious injury, it wasn't anything to be concerned over. Adjusting his frame to stand upright, his partially injured arms drooping to their respective sides, Celmaru added another inquiry to his still-standing queries. " Well, that technique appears rather deadly for those who aren't prepared. I do commend you for your creativity in your combat abilities, however...you show me one, yet it would be rude to leave you with nothing to see from me. Shall I demonstrate one of my own - " A swift knee attempted to firmly and promptly place itself betwixt the hybrid's abdominal muscles, yet only a mere twitch overcame the hybrid upon impact. Grinning graciously to Sanguinis, Celmaru simply spoke the final word to his intended suggestion. " - techniques?" Unfortunately the assault would continue, leaving mere fragments for Phae to see, and nothing for the hybrid to inspect within the warrior's mind. As the Human warrior's knee rose to strike it's opponent's facial features, the halfbreed Saiyan attempted to counterattack with a headbutt. However, as he did so, a slight shimmer of Ki encased the hybrid's cranium, something akin to a helm creating itself for a fraction of a moment. Gritting his teeth as an inevitable impact came, Celmaru would notice his opposing warrior preparing another technique. By now, the hybrid's grin had long-since faded, however he resisted the urge to do so once again. " I only said I'd let you strike me with one technique, not two, Sanguinis!" Clenching his fists as the Human shouted his ability's name, Celmaru's Ki surged around his figure; fluctuating and sparking about rapidly. The hybrid had prepared to unleash an explosive wave for his opponent to take directly, however there was a minuscule detail he had nearly overlooked; the Mark of Ayumu. The pearly white Ki of Celmaru's Trained Potential receded immediately; his shock imminent. Gasping a mere "What?!" before the Ki-infused uppercut struck him, the hybrid's facial expression contorted to stare at Sanguinis. The hybrid's expression bore both shock and simple surprise. Relaxing his palms, he spoke calmly. " So...you know Ayumu too. I can't say I'm surprised...yet I never expected to see such a thing from you, Sanguinis." Clearing his throat awkwardly, Celmaru shifted the subject along. " Ahem...regardless, er...my questions still stand, Sanguinis. Its rather rude to leave your acquaintances waiting without notifying them to do so beforehand." Phae breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that her husband was physically fit still. As of now, unfortunately for the Human, Celmaru was resisting the urge to release his full power; simply from the sight of the scarce Mark of Ayumu. If Sanguinis had this, surely he was experienced enough to attract the elder's attention...at least enough for him to bestow this upon him. Only time would tell here.

He wasn't trying to be rude or standoffish. Not at all. Sangu was focused during his Altered Concentration technique, which left little room for responses to questions of any sorts. Seeing his attacks merely leaving minor cuts on Celmaru was rather disheartening for the Ace of Hearts. He sighed, answering the question of the lovely Phae as he commenced his next attack. "I do apologize, Lady Phae. Of course we can all have a nice conversation after all this, but your husband is quite the handfull!"He buried his knee into the midsection of the hybrid with all of the force he could muster, but his mouth dropped open. Celmaru had barely FELT the knee! Impossible! He slid backward a bit, dropping into a defensive stance, eyes narrowed in thought. "You truly are powerful...a normal man would have fallen to his knees with that attack..." His final attack was stopped by the massive headbutt from the hybrid warrior as he slid backwards, holding his chest. His breathing was labored by now as he fell to one knee, holding his chest, a trickle of blood sliding down his chin. He shook his head....Celmaru would feel his power dropping. He slowly pushed himself to his feet, wiping the blood from his chin. "You win, Mister Waterfield. There is no way that I can match your power at this level..."He sighed, and turned...about to leave, shaking his head...
(Sorry so late. This is actually not an exit post. Hoping to make good on those conversations. ) Celmaru Waterfield
