Haban sighed slowly letting her hands unclench though still maintaining her fierce glare on Riku, the more she thought of it there was a certain amount of problem with simply killing him here and now, namely plunging Namek into further chaos by the abrupt loss of one of their leaders, from what Habana was aware of they were also lacking in firm leadership via a proper Guru. Removing Riku without giving Namek a chance to figure out what they would be doing would be bad and as much as she wanted her personal revenge and of course had a duty to bring a traitor such as Riku to justice there was perhaps a slightly better way to handle the situation.
She’d given Riku a few moments to taken in her words, and on top of that the Namekian man who had been doing his best to play peacekeeper between them also seemed bothered by what he was learning. It almost brought a smirk to her face to see that even at least one Namekian was seeing the logic behind her words, that there was a genuine problem with Riku holding the position he did with his previous crimes, crimes he should have known would bring problems to Namek.
“We’ve been talking for a while now, long enough that while I’ve let my temper flare up a few times the more logical part of my thought process has had enough time to make a decision. Here’s what I’m going to do, you WILL be brought to justice Riku this is not avoidable.” Habana paused letting her words have a moment to sink in. “But I will give you an opportunity. I’m going to stand down for now, I’ll give you… lets say a week that sounds about right. During this week you should put the warrior caste in order, find either a specific individual to take your place as leader, or a group to make that choice down the road, I don’t mind much either way how you get it done.”
“For that week I will not pursue you, neither will any of my associates both on Namek now or off-world. Including allies of mine not directly tied to the Empire. A week to set your affairs in order. Then you will have two options, join me in the Northern Scar, we’ll decide then if it’s a fight or imprisonment you want though i’d put some thought to that during the week.”
“Your other option is a simple one. Run. Run away as fast and as far as you can just like on Earth. Prove my beliefs about you right, not just to me but to the Namekians. I won't stop you from fleeing, you'll have that whole day to make your escape and get as far away as you think you can. After that I’ll hunt you down. Even if you run away earlier in the week I won't stop you, I’ll just respect you even less and when I DO find you afterwards I’ll promise you it won't be to take you to Knutts” Habana provided her last option to Riku.
With a few deep breaths Habana’s golden aura faded way “Jala, lets grab the others. I’ve always wanted to see Namek, now I have a week in which to enjoy it.” Habana paused her gaze drifting from her mother and onto the Namekian “If you wish to join us as well you are welcome to do so Namekian, I apologize for not showing you much respect earlier but as you have learned this is a… difficult situation for me. It would be pleasant to have a local set of eyes to point me to the best places to visit on Namek.” Habana made her offer to the Namekian and with a gesture turned her back on Riku taking off for the city below briefly enough for her companions to see her and regroup, afterwards she the four warriors regardless of if the Namekian joined them, would make there way to the ships to decide where next to head with Habana busying herself with conversation to distract her from the urge to dash back and snap Riku in half.
[Exiting Thread, with any luck we can continue this in some for down the road Riku, the ‘one week’ limit is really only a IC thing.]
