It seemed the time for pleasantries was at an end and Kay-El looked over at Core curiously when hs said he hoped this was better training. While she agreed, she also felt wary and cautious. “ Be careful what you wish for,” she said quietly, thinking about all they’d said about Zucceta and her trees, or whatever. Where they got their information, she didn’t know, but she held her tongue on the matter either way, not wanting to get involved. They weren’t here to debate politics, after all, and talking of queens and such felt like just that and she already felt in over her head and needed to sort things out on her own. She planned to do just that, and soon, but for now she wanted to get this business with the witch finished. A lot of kids her age worried about, well, she didn’t really have the luxury of knowing what they worried about but she doubted it was witches or minotaurs or anything like that. As they started to leave she looked over at Samba. “ I don’t have any more information but strength in numbers is always a plus. But if anyone is scared, you can leave now… I wouldn’t blame you if you did. We don’t have much to go on, but I’m going either way. This witch is going down.” And then Alex said he could sense something. Being unable to sense energy, herself, she usually relied on her scouter or on others and the the useless techno monocle pretty much broke before she even got a chance to use it so she tried not to rely too heavily on it. Ban looked over the group one last time and said, “ It’s nice to see you again as well, Core. Kay-El speaks very highly of you, Samba. Of all of you, actually, and I can see why.” And with that she left the group of young adventurers to their plotting. Following Alex’s lead she concentrated on raising her Ki enough to appear like she belonged with that group to any casual observers. It wasn’t long before they ran into their first obstacle where the Earth became an icy ledge. Her scouter beeped at an unfamiliar energy below, South East of where they’d started, and she said, “ Alright, I think she’s down this way…” Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but it looked dark and cold and, well, Arynx couldn’t fly as far as she knew so one of them might have to carry the rock star unless he wanted to climb which looked a treacherous and precarious endeavor, indeed. -- Nana is no longer with them | PL set to 100,000 Feel free to move the story along, just keep pacing in mind, etc. Have fun with this! I’m sure there will be traps and obstacles and enemies in their path along the way. (: Core Stold

The young Arcosian would look to Arynx with wide surprised eyes, it was the third hot chocolate he saw go in the man’s throat, and even for Core that would be hardcore, there was just a limit on how much you could eat or drink without puking it all out. ‘’ W-wow Arynx! Slack down a bit or you’ll get sick, we don’t want you to puke all the way to the witch’s lair buddy!’’ He would say in a friendly ton to the musician, it was true that Core was wondering if he could take that much liquid and still function normally.
When Core saw Samba’s reaction over the talk about the saiyan’s invasion, the young Arcosian child would look at his friend with concern as he saw him getting angrier and angrier. ‘’ Samba, calm down, we’re training for this very reason, so we can protect Earth from that kind of threat, don’t be so angry… also, i also hope they come back and get their ass handed to then, we’re becoming so strong, there is no way if they failed at invading Earth the first time that they beat us now, we’re stronger than ever, especially with the Galactic Patrol now uniting on Earth!’’ He would say with a wide smile as he patted the wolf man’s shoulder a bit. ‘’ We’re winning this no matter what friend~’’ He would conclude, smiling to him widely. Core did heard what Kay-El said, but he wouldn't really think about it, he just assumed she was speaking of not wanting war, which would make sense to him enough to dissipate any doubts.
When Alexander came out of the waypoint, Core was following him close and noticed that he was struggling with the outside light, which would be rather confusing for Core, not knowing what to do while the man was struggling with his eyes, he simply passed him and stretched a bit, getting ready for the adventure they clearly had in front of them right now, he turned to Alexander. ‘’ Yeah, is that all we know? Because if we don’t know like… were she is… it’s going to be a problem…’’ The Arcosian child would say as he looked around, nothing but a desert of snow was around them, a few lights in the distance shown, it was probably some people trying to join the place they were actually in, since it was the only way station in the middle of his cold desert were most living things weren’t welcomed, only the strongest could survive. For a moment, Core would blank out a bit, looking at the distance; he lost himself in his though about a bit of everything, his place on Earth, the apparently upcoming saiyan invasion, the mystery about his brother’s location, all those though would flow in Core’s mind, making him a bit lost for a moment, there was so much thing he had to do and so little time, he’d have to start at some point or else it would never end at all, the task would only stack up more in his mind and eventually he would never see the end of it, but right now, he had one task to take care of, this mission needed to be a success.
The thing that would bring Core back to reality was Kay’s voice talking to her nanny, and would wake him up quick enough so he was able to turn to Ban when she spoke about him, he would smile back at her. ‘’ Thank you Ban, see you around!’’ He would tell her as she went away. Core then looked around one more time before hovering a bit over the ground; he wondered what direction they were going to take. The Arcosian then noticed Kay-El was looking with a scooter in a direction and said that she was this way, he would nod lightly. ‘’ Good then, let’s go!'' He would say, hovering to this direction slowly, waiting for everyone to pick up before really flying towards it, he didn’t wanted to end up alone in front of this magic-casting mean woman they were all talking about, especially if her magic could do some stuff to him like turn him into something else or paralyze him, the more he thought about the witch, the more it was getting scary to him, what was the limit of magic anyway?

Arynx followed Kay-El, mostly keeping his mouth shut. He'd actually zipped up his signature leather jacket, and did his best not to show outwardly how cold he was. He never quite could get used to the discomfort of being cold, which he found interesting considering he was part Zoonamite.
However, when they came to the icy ledge, his body began to warm as his heart pumped hot adrenaline through every artery and vein in his system. This sensation, this rush of being in an inherently dangerous place, it made him feel alive, made him forget about the cold and the wind. All that was left was the moment, the mission, and the rhythm of his beating heart.
"Not a bad place for an evil lair, really," he said, kicking a small chunk of ice off the ledge and into the abyss below, "I'd have picked something similar, if I were an evil witch. Easy defensible, hard to impregnate. But if there's one thing a rockstar knows how to do..."
He paused, giving a sideways wink to Samba and Alex.
"It's impregnate."
He held his arms up as if to embrace the universe, and then turned to his companions. He smiled enthusiastically. This wouldn't be the first time he'd gone base jumping. It just happened to be the only time he'd done so without a parachute. He was sure he'd be fine.
"So in the words of my forebears, may they rock eternal in Valhalla...."
With that he dove into the chasm, arms at his sides, head-first.
"YOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo," his voice became more distant as he fell.

Blinking twice the Zoan turned toward Core, his lips twitching slightly in a facsimile of a smile working over his face. "I'm fine now, Core. But thanks for looking out for me, buddy." Smirking broadly the male patted the bio-gem on top of Core's head with a large hand. "But you're right, they failed the last time, and we're getting stronger and stronger if we all work together there's no way we can lose." He sincerely hoped that if when the time came for the SSE to once more invade the Earth that its residents would be prepared for another war. It was the sole reason why he was training so hard to become strong, allying himself with the Galactic Patrol also let him help others that needed his help across the Galaxy, not only just the Earth, it was a win-win for him.
Rolling his eyes slightly at hearing Alex's voice telling them to get a move on, the Zoan would follow the male outside. "Impatient aren't we, Alex?" Samba teased with a smirk crossing his face, though at hearing Ban addressing him he would turn around so she could have his full attention; a blush working its way on his face, illuminating his features slightly with its pink glow at the praise the old woman was dishing out. "I-It's nothing ma'am. Please stay safe out there." He waved goodbye at the lady before once again following everyone outside and into the cold, there were good illumination thanks to the sun shining brightly outside, but there was also a lot of clouds dotting the sky, ready to obscure the sun's rays at any moment.
"Brrr... even with the sun at full force, and with my dark furred coat, it's really cold around here." The male blew across his palms and rubbed his hands to get some warm, soon enough rubbing his arms as well. Thankfully he had his thick coat of fur acted as a shield against most of the biting cold, but even so he knew that if he ever became lost in a place like this without any sort of chance to fly away or finding civilization, his chances of living would take a fast dive from do-able to improbable.
Concentrating on the hot spark deep within, the male sighed in relief when his Ki warmed his body slightly and assured that the cold wouldn't bother him anymore. Turning toward Alex, the male snorted out in amusement. "Somewhere indeed. I'm not sure where to even look, all we know is that she's deep underground. We might as well fly off and look for a deep crevice and start from there." Or perhaps look until they found a cave leading down? That seemed like a reasonable course of action, but it seemed that whatever powers Alex possessed let him feel that something was definitely off somewhere, and as he waited for Alex to get a reading the Wolf Zoanthrope turned towards Kay-El, his nose scrunching slightly when a drop of noise felt directly on his nose.
Going slightly cross-eyed the male stated as he absently wiped the bridge of his nose with his finger. "Nah, don't even worry about it Kay-El. What sort of friend would I be if I deserted my friends in their time of need?" He would smirk at her, landing a large hand on her head and softly ruffling her hair like an older brother would. "This Witch won't know what hit her, all we have to do is stay determined and have each other's backs."
Hearing Alex's voice addressing them with his finding a grin crossed the male's face, turning to stare at Alex to give him a thumbs up for a job well done. "Well, aren't your powers handy, Alex?" He would tease again, almost going for a friendly pat on the back but held back knowing that Alex didn't really wanted psychical contact of any kind, the last time was probably a freebie so the Zoanthrope shouldn't test his luck again.
Trailing behind everyone, acting as a sort of guard to their rear end in the case of an ambush, the male looked around the surrounding atmosphere, seeing nothing but piles upon piles of snow, sometimes dotted by flora and fauna, but besides that it was deserted on almost any sentient life for miles upon miles besides the Waystation they just came from. "There's something beautiful about a please still not corrupted by mankind's hands," Samba muttered to himself, admiring his surroundings for a while longer before the group finally came to an icy ledge overlooking a deep, almost bottomless looking gorge, even with the light of the sun illuminating their way it still didn't manage to pierce the darkness down below.
"So this is the place..." Leaning slightly and craning his head, the Zoan squinted his eyes as he tried to see something, anything that might be lurking deep below. The only feeling he got was something staring right back at him, with a shiver that wasn't because of the cold Samba leaned back and looked towards the others. "Okay, I think something might have stared right back at me for just a second there," Rubbing the back of his neck the male looked uncomfortable for a second, possibly at the chance that they might laugh at his statement. "Though that might have just been my head messing with me." But considering the threat of a Witch and their magick ways, perhaps he wasn't losing his head quite just yet.
Thankfully the attention that he might have gathered quickly shifted onto the other Zoonamite in their group, and as he started to speak about 'impregnate' while sending a wink his way, a hot blush would work its way back across his face, once again illuminating his whole face with its radiant glow. Oh, he caught the little hidden message there, and on one hand he wanted to laugh at the innuendo in there but on the other he wanted to throttle the male because Kay-El and Core were present.
Hopefully, the faux pas will fly over their heads, otherwise, he'd have Ban to answer to when she came knocking on his door demanding where have little sweet Kay-El learned such a vulgar language. He shook once more, and once again it wasn't because of the cold but because of the impending doom if that happened.
Though he quickly shook his head and looked alarmed when Arynx turned toward them with a smile before jumping head-first into the abyss below with a cry of 'Yolo' that quickly became more distant the longer he fell. "Um..." Samba turned toward the others while pointing a thumb where Arynx used to stand. "Should we go and catch him before he crashes the ground, even though there's probably piles upon piles of snow ready to arrest his fall, or should we just casually fly down and meet him on the bottom?" He was fine with either option, besides something told him that Arynx would be fine even if he hurt himself, based on his power level he'd come out of that with no mortal wounds to speak of.
No matter what they'd chose the male would sigh before walked over to the ledge and jumping down, easily arresting most of his momentum by slowing his fall with his Ki, and once he was at the bottom he'd look over and spot an Arynx's shaped hole on the ground nearby. "Are you okay?" Samba asked out of courtesy as he walked over and helped the dude out of the hole he just made. "You're really crazy for doing something like that, you know that?" Chuckling under his breath the Zoan looked around their new surroundings, ears slightly splaying to the back of his head when he couldn't see much of anything besides what was ten feet away from him.
"Oh boy, it sure is dark here..." Looking up and up the way they came from, the Zoan cringed at how he barely spotted a spot of light coming from high above. "Sheesh, we sure are deep underground right now. This is a potential unknown territory. Everyone stand on guard." It didn't matter that most of them were almost a one man army, if anything caught them off-guard they'd become easy picking in a few seconds.
He learned that the hard way, feeling the phantom pain course through the right side of his body the Zoan absently rubbed his left hand over his right arm as if to remind himself that his arm was still attached to his body. Looking aside the male tried to spot any sort of entrances or anything lurking nearby once again. "There doesn't seem to be any sort of cave entrance that I can see... then again it's pretty dark." Not deterred in the slightest the Zoan kept his search, he'd eventually find something sooner or later or the others might, whichever came first.

Alexander's wings beat a steady beat through the air as he moved, each powerful thrust of the wing-like appendages causing him to slice through the atmosphere with enough raw force to keep pace with those who flew with more traditional means. Kay too, had her wings and as such, he did not feel quite so alone in his choice of flight, though he was certainly curious if hers held the same level of powers that his did. It wasn't a thing that he was particularly willing to test- such a thing would be a bit too immature for him, wanting to race over something so trivial. And yet, even so, the man couldn't help but to feel the slight inkling to do so. Perhaps the Void hadn't taken full control of him yet if he was still having these types of frivolous thoughts...or perhaps it was simply because he wanted to beat her in a race. No friendly competition- he simply wanted to win. Both were equally likely, and he didn't know where his own wishes ended and those of the Void began. As he landed upon the icy precipice, the Void-user paused, the wings still present upon his back as he stared down into the dark abyss. His eyes narrowed as he tried to utilize his Voidsense to see if he couldn't fathom something else from beneath, but all he could ascertain was that unusual power level, or something akin to it, that lingered down below. The frown upon his face deepened as he looked further, wanting to know exactly what lurked below. Nothing came to him, leaving a sour taste in his mouth, something that shared the expression on his face, as he glanced back to the others. "This seems dangerous," he said simply, though he was always tending to be the worrywart of the group. Before, with the Minotaur, he had aimed to try and be ready for any circumstance, but brute force had allowed them to defeat the beast without any real effort- he hoped that the some would come to pass here as well, but he didn't know how dangerous dealing with magic would be. "I agree," Alexander spoke, nodding toward Arynx as the man indicated the relative impregnability of the area. You could really only enter in from above, and if you were below, that gave you the full sight to see just about anyone entering your realm, not to mention that there could be several magical wards placed at the top or along the walls in their descent downward that would indicate to whoever placed them that their home was being invaded. However, his agreeable nature vanished in an instant with the rock star's continued words, and he blinked, before turning his emerald eyed gaze upon the fellow. He watched as Arynx lifted his arms as if he were making some sort of prayer to the heavens before he simply moved to dive down into the crevice without any level of hesitation. Alexander wasn't certain if he was brave, or simply stupid. Or more likely, some combination of both. Samba's words earned the barest hint of a smirk on Alexander's features as the thought of Arynx striking a snowdrift and face-planting it struck his mind's eye. "I lack the ability to catch him, so I'll leave that up to you or Core," the man spoke as he moved to the edge of the precipice, looking down beneath. He wondered what might await him at the bottom, but even now he couldn't tell. "I'll see you at the bottom," he said simply before he leaned forward, letting the pull of gravity begin to take him downward. He tucked his wings tightly against his body as he fell, not wanting them to be torn from the air pressure tearing up against him. The weighted coat he wore only caused his descent to accelerate, and it wasn't long before he was seeing the bottom. He didn't know if he'd passed Arynx or if the man had already landed, but Alexander had no wish to find out as he turned forward once in the air, letting his wings expand outward, catching himself before he landed lightly upon the ground. His gaze flickered to Samba, who came next, watching as the fellow mentioned just how dark it was down here. Alex had to agree, which was unfortunate. There wasn't much to see, and he had no way to create light, or to see in darkness. He didn't know if his aura would be able to light anything up, or if any of them here had enough ki to do so. He paused as he heard a sound coming from his left. It sounded like something being dragged through the snow, and Alex frowned as he felt the rush of Void beginning to build through his right hand as he looked on. "Something big is that way," he murmured quietly to the others, not really wanting to alarm them, but at the same time, he had to warn them. He was certain that Samba's ears might've picked it up a little better than Alex's own, then again that might be stereotyping. There was another sound then, and this time it came from his right, earning a small frown. There were multiple, or it was bigger than he thought. "Tch," he muttered, his eyes narrowing. === Potential baddie: THE SNOWAGER a la Neopets. (or something else big, or something else entirely. Go wild)

Was it cold? Sure, Was she going to let it bother her? Naw, surely not. The sun up ahead kept it from getting too cold, in her opinion, or maybe just being near Core and his ever-present heat radiation seemed to make it easier to bear. The hot chocolate still warm in her belly didn’t hurt, either, and she looked from one companion to the next, glad for the company. As much as the girl wanted to be reassuring, to be the cheerleading type, it wasn’t in her nature if it also meant lying to someone. With a swish and flick of her tail behind her, she watched as Arynx just dove right in and sighed. Well, that was one way to do it… if you’re suicidal, or just an idiot, she supposed. “ I agree with Sasmba,” she said softly, “ If we stick close and keep an eye out for each other, there’s no reason we won’t all make it out of this alive and victorious.” She’d picked all of them, aside from Arynx, because she knew they were good in a fight. Although they were down one, Jax, she still had faith in this team to get the job done. Taking to the air she flew down after the others did, one by one the motley crew descended and Kay-El’s dark eyes widened when she saw the more or less Arynx shaped hole in the snow. Leaving it to Samba to check on Arynx, this team needed to function and Samba could totally handle Arynx one way or another. Alex, on the other hand, seemed to have found some trouble. A mighty roar sounded from both directions and she kept to the air, able to move better while flying than stuck on her feet in the snow as at least six minotaurs ran towards them. The very ground seemed to shake beneath their hooved feet and she noticed it even with all the layers of snow.

Post by Core Stold on May 8, 2016 18:30:14 GMT
The young Core would look around as they arrived at a rather scary-looking icy ledge, there was just something about this place that made the young Arcosian child a bit uncomfortable, even if he knew there couldn’t be that much horrible threat down there, he was not especially wanting to go, it just looked like the thing he would imagine people were thinking the Arcosian lived on when they were calling then ‘frost demons’, which would made no sense since nothing about the Arcosian was supposed to show frost, especially not Core who was apparently really strong with the fire manipulation, a skill he earned when he was created and certainly would make the name ‘frost demon’ look even more odd, a frost demon that uses fire to attack, that does not make any sense, and anyway, this name was given to them only be people who already hated them.
When Core turned to see all of his companions, making sure everyone was there before they would go down, he would catch Samba speaking to him, he would have to focus on it since the wind was blowing loudly and it was hard to catch someone speaking if you didn’t expected them to, Core would look at Samba and smiled widely at his comment, taking him by the shoulder. ‘’ Of course they will fail, there is no way we’re losing this planet my friend! Earth will show just how beautiful it is by showing that it reassembled the strongest of them all to defend it, and if we can you know… take out the queen to make sure the empire isn’t a danger anymore, put her into prison or something… that would be great, imagine just how many lives we’d save just by doing that? And there is no way she’s not getting judged, everyone knows the crime of the saiyan empire…’’ He would tell him, trying to cheer him up even more. Hearing then that many people were cold, Core would close his eyes and focus his ki into his bio-gems, releasing more power than usual, he was able to create more and more eat. The snow would melt under his feet as a wave of warm would start to install around him. He would then look at Samba with a bit of a smile. ‘’ There you go! You shouldn’t be too cold now, or at least I hope..’’ He would tell his friend with an amused ton. A few minutes later, Samba once more broke the silence, speaking of how this place was free of mankind’s hand, which Core would turn to his and tilt his head. ‘’ Eh, I don’t think this place is that nice… it’s lifeless and cold… it’s likea desert, except life can’t even grow there… I’m glad if we leave as soon as possible when everything is done...’’ The Arcosian admit to the group and Samba while walking to their destination innocently.
The next voice Core would hear in that craziness would be Alexander’s, which against all odd, was putting some kind of fate that he could catch the falling Arynx, to which Core would answer by raising one of his non-existent eyebrow. ‘’ What… are you guys saying he can’t fly? Because really, I don’t have the remaining time to save him…catching him at this speed would be far worse than letting him impact on the ground… I’d have to go all down, then back up to him with enough speed to catch the momentum… and sorry… that’s not happening…’’ Core would say honestly, it was simply a good plan to have Arynx’s head detach from his body and go rolling away like a ball of some sort, and Core didn’t wanted to be this guy who killed one of them by trying to save it, it wouldn’t be a nice souvenir to keep of this gang that were always so happy and funny to be with.
The Arcosian, when most people were gone, would turn to Kay-El, they were the remaining two that have not jumped, he would look at her and smile lightly. ‘’ Yup, he’s right, let’s keep an eye on each other… even though we’re not sure Arynx is still down there with all the mess that is going on…’’ He would say as he joined her way down at the same time, wanting to make sure nothing was going to catch her mid-air or something stupid, but also not wanting himself to go alone, the sigh of Kay-El was making him calm down and making the action of going deep into this scary hole in the ground suddenly something do-able, which he wasn’t really expecting. When he arrived down with everyone else, Core would sigh to himself as he saw a big Arynx-shaped hole in the ground. ‘’ So… he can’t fly… I’m going to keep that information somewhere…’’ Core would say in a bit of an amused ton, it was sure not lacking some fun images right there, it looked straight out of a cartoon and even stole a couple of laughs from Core before he went back a bit more serious.
When Core started to analyze his surrounding, the worst would happen as many sounds were coming from all around them, he knew it was a bad and scary idea to come down there, but he didn’t expected it to become a nightmare right there, suddenly, some minotaur would come out of nowhere alongside some weird blue snakes, the young Arcosian would sigh to himself and look at everyone. ‘’ Well, protect the Arynx-hole until he wakes up!’’ Core would shout as he gathered his ki and prepared for the minotaur and snake offensive, keeping the most of them in sigh, but they looked like they were getting more and more the longer he was staring at them, going along with a bit of a headache to Core. ‘’ D-dammit… the witch… she’s aware we’re here…’’ He would tell them as a the first minotaur came toward him, probably thinking that the smallest was the weakest, which he got his answer to pretty quickly when Core punched him back to his friends, knocking away two of them that tried to catch him.

A blue-green arm rose from the hole in the snow that was shaped like the famous rockstar. One finger was raised to the sky.
"I'm okay," his voice lilted weakly from within his cozy little snow-hole, "Just need to rest a bit. Leave me here, I'll be okay..."
The arm fell limply back into the Arynx-shaped hole in the snow.
"Snow's sooooft...."
