Part Two
"No....please no...don't do i-AGGGGGGGH!" the voices spoke to him as he dreamed of a time not so long ago. He could still see them bring engulfed in his red Ki, their blood curdling screams echoing through the night. These dreams were the same, every single night as the guilt of all he'd done in his past weighed on his shoulders. This guilt made him feel like the mighty titan Atlas, cursed to forever be in the realm of Tartarus, holding the world up on his shoulders as punishment.
Sadly, he knew that these nightmares weren't simply that. They were real life memories of his time as a "cleaner" for the dastardly Arcosian Cube. This world is not like the world of the waking though. This is what he sees every single time he lays his head down at night, and sometimes he questions whether vengeance is really worth it. After all, nothing could ever bring back those innocent lives he had taken.
Vengeance. Not for him anyway, as he sought vengeance against the APPC for their manipulation of him. He could still remember Cube's alien henchman "Cream" telling him "If you don't want your town to be next, son, ya best just do as Lord Cube says. He ain't a man to be trifled with, and besides, he already pays you more than you're worth."
More than he was worth? The alien said this because of a deep hatred of Earthlings which he came upon when an Earthling had stolen his wife out from under him. What made it worse was the fact that this Earthling was in fact Plasmas, Sangu's father. Yes, this very same alien was calling Sangu "son" and being quite disrespectful.
The Criminal Underworld was no place for a young, impressionable teenager but Sangu grew up behind it's closed doors. However a true warrior follows what is in his heart and nightmares or not, what was in his heart was good. This was a good that would grow day by day. But would he ever become a hero?
Last time in the Sangu Saga...
Sangu had hit the road, having caught a ride with a kindly old carriage driver. His destination? The Yuznabit Highlands, a sparsely populated area in the Northern Islands. His purpose? To train like an Arcosian. As he trudged through the snow, it became a very draining experience in itself, and it seemed all hope was lost until he came upon a farm in the middle of the icy wasteland. There, he was greeted by two Earthlings who took him in for the night and saved the young man's life. The old man would plan to use Sangu to help him clean up the farm. But why? What can you possibly grow in the Highlands?
But meanwhile...
"I sense lifeforms nearby." A voice was heard as two black combat boots crunched the snow. As it stepped out of the Space Pod with "APPC" on the side, it was like a looking up to a mountain of a man with long, black hair and taking on the appearance of a male Saiyan in black and silver armor. It's expression never changed as it scanned the area. "Three human lifeforms, two very weak. One moderately strong. Could it be the target?"
"Sanguinis Blood." Said what appeared to be a female Alien. It looked up at it's cohort and had to crane it's neck as it did. It wore a black and red gi, with steel toed boots and had purple skin, with cascading white hair covering it's should blades and ample busom. "Could this be him, Mallo?"
"Feels like his Ki Signature, but he is in a resting state. I'd say that he is doing what most humans do and sleeping."
"Huh?"
"Recharging his batteries. Funny." It laughed in a very fake manner and furrowed it's thick black brow. "He seems significantly more powerful than the data Cube provided would suggest, Marsh."
Marsh would laugh dryly. "We do not experience fear, Mallo. Come brother, let us complete the assignment"
Their voices were chilling. No emotion to them whatsoever, and what's worse? They couldn't be sensed. Marsh and Mallo were two Androids created by the scientists at the APPC using old data collected from a well known doctor's work. Not even Sangu knew of their existence. He'd heard of the Science Division before, but didn't know the extent of their talents.
These two androids, much like one of the Doctor's most powerful creations, were more machine than human. They weren't peaceful. Mallo turned his head slowly to Marsh and stated plainly. "Let's go." With no warning, the two levitated slowly off the ground and blasted off toward Sangu's location, streaking across the dark morning sky.
Back at the Farm
"COCKADOODLE DOOOOOO!" Sangu awoke to the sound of that damnable bird, a rooster. He would wonder what a rooster would be doing this far north, but as he looked around to see two empty rocking chairs he blinked. Had he actually fallen asleep at the old couple's humble home?
He rubbed his eyes and looked around. Sniffing the air, he could smell the aroma of coffee. He shook his head and looked to see Jim standing in the doorway, staring out over the icy landscape of the Yunzabit Highlands. Jim looked back over his shoulder and smiled to Sangu. "Well, look who decided to wake up."
""Look who decided to wake up?" The sun isn't even up yet!" He thought to himself, but bit his tongue before he said anything to Jim. He stood up and staggered a bit. Hrm, strange. As he looked at his wrists and ankles, he noticed that his weights had dissappeared. He looked at Jim and forced a smile. "Mister Jim, what happened to my training weights?"
"Right here, son!" He looked toward the voice and saw Martha waddle over with his weights in hand. He couldn't help but notice that she also had his pants in hand, along with his sleeveless duster.
Sangu panicked. "Oh my god! Am I naked?" Wait. No. He wasn't naked, he had been dressed in a pair of blue flannel pajamas and a t-shirt with President Bao on the front of it. "Where did these clothes come from?" He asked Martha, amazed that she'd apparently been up long enough to wash his clothes and his leather duster? She'd cleaned it! Without ruining it! Needless to say, he was impressed.
The old hen smiled, her cheeks and nose a crimson shade. "Donnae mention it, honey. Ah reckon ya were startin' ta stinks so ah went ahead an' bathed you, and cleaned yer clothes!"
"Wait. What. You gave me a bath?!" He exclaimed, mildly embarassed.
She held her head high. "Donnae worry, sonny, I was perfectly behaved the whole time. After all, me an' ol' Jim been married Fer about-"
Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door and Jim turned. He walked over to the door and opened it slowly. Before him he saw a strange duo. One was a short female with cold blue eyes, white hair, and deep purple skin. She stood there, staring at Jim with no emotion in her eyes and then speaking in a monotone voice. "Where is Sangu?"
Martha tilted her head and looked between the woman and Sangu. Back and forth. She would assume as humans often do. "Is that yer girlfriend, sonny?"
Sangu shook his head. He saw the two standing outside of the door and he knew they were trouble because they just didn't seem...natural. He couldn't sense any life coming from these two beings, which was strange since he'd perfected his basic Ki Sensing technique.
Jim would answer. "Aye, ye must be 'is friends?"
The tall Saiyan-like male would smirk, folding his arms over his chest. "I wouldn't say that, old man. And I know he's here, I can see him standing right there behind the fat female human."
Jim shook his head. "Wha' do ya want with Sangu? Are ya the police? He ain't a bank robber, is he?"
The two beings would laugh in unison, as well as a mechanical monster could laugh. The small purple female looked up at her tall cohort and grinned. "They don't know, do they Mallo?"
"Evidently not. Maybe we should tell them, yes Marsh?" The Pseudo Saiyan would remark, then look at Jim and Martha. "This man? This human you call "sonny" and "son" isn't an innocent human. This man has taken many lives for the sake of Zenni. Your new friend is a murderer." And once again came that mechanical laughter from the two androids.
Martha craned her neck at Sangu. "Is....is this true, boy?"
Sangu's head dropped and he became totally silent. He shook his head and thought about those dreams he'd been having and then looked up at Jim, Martha, and the two machines. He would start "Well..."
