Heavy Weights ON
The Gravity Chamber hummed to life as Kay stepped in, locking the door behind her. Insomnia haunted her even now. After everything, she hoped that finding Pin might ease some of her burdens but no, didn’t seem to be the case. With a sigh she flew up a little so her three foot frame could reach the controls. Programming in a fight against an Arcosian, she needed to blow off some steam and as much as she loved Core, most Arcosians were not like him. If she wanted to know how to fight them, she had to practice. Practice led to preparedness and she needed more of that, especially knowing most of Core’s kind wouldn’t take as, well, kindly to her half Saiyan genetics whether she proved friendly or not.
The simulation began and she began to charge an attack as the Alien appeared. By some strange force, it even looked a little like Core. Then again, so many Arcosians looked alike. She thought better of it and tried something new, changing the charge to her biggest attack instead, wanting to try that one out again in this Simulation. As she let it go, the Arcosian didn’t even scream - it just stopped moving, staring blankly at her before the light in its eyes slowly dimmed. And suddenly phase two began as four surrounded her and she backed up, preparing to dodge whatever they threw her way.
The battle raged on inside the chamber with Kay facing off against the Arcosians displaying a skill fueled by a rage that began long ago on the morning of her fourth birthday when she found out Arcosians had killed her father and ambushed his diplomatic mission. Dark eyes narrowed as she dodged and shot back on her own, stunning her opponents and kicking them while they were down. A small, inner voice said ‘keep kicking him’ as she pummeled the last of them. And when it was all said and done, the simulation over, she just sat on the floor numbly and cried for a little while.
Some time later she headed back to her room, tucked herself in, snuggled with Pounce and finally got some much needed sleep.
