Yuken chewed loudly as he bit off a large section of meat from the dinosaur leg he was holding. The boy sat before a crackling fire as he chewed down his dinner, reflecting on what he had done and planning his next move.
Slipping away unnoticed was an easy enough task thanks to the generous amount of meetings the king had to go to, many of them not requiring a cup-bearer. Not caring whether for the half-breed in any particular manner, no Saiyan guard was willing to keep an eye on him or bring Yuken along to anything, often leaving the child to his own devices and expecting him to be back and waiting for them at least an hour before the king's meeting ended. This time, however, he would not be doing so.
This planet was filled with exciting places and powerful combatants that numbered in the dozens. To top it all off, here he was free to do as he pleased and make his own choices, as well as being free from ridicule.
With all these factors taken into consideration, Yuken had made his decision: he was staying on Earth. He didn't care whether the Saiyans were angry or not. He didn't care what would happen to his father. No, this was a new chapter in his life and no one was going to stop him from living it!
Finishing off his meal, the boy stood up and dusted himself off as he prepared to go into town and pick out some new attire. He actually preferred their martial arts garbs over his Saiyan armor.
Just about to leave, the child suddenly stopped in his tracks as a familiar voice yelled from above, "Yuken! Where do you think you're going?"
Turning around haphazardly, Yuken looked up to find two Saiyans staring at him, both scowling with their arms crossed. Lowering themselves out of the suns rays, the pair were revealed to be none other than the duo of Bok and Choy, brothers who both served as only two of many of the king's royal guards. The duo were also known to be good friends with Borage, the Saiyan officer in charge of servants aboard the king's vessel, as well as making it a hobby to make Yuken's life excessively miserable.
"What are you doing out here so late? The meeting starts in ten minutes!" Choy, the taller of the two, said in frustration as he explained the situation.
"How did you two even find me?" Yuken replied, trying to avoid Choy's question and see just how the two idiots before him had narrowed down his location. His exit plan was completely spur of the moment and he had told no one!
"Your communicator, obviously." Bok, the broader of the two, while tapping his ear where a small communicator was tucked away in.
"Enough talk," Choy declared, not catching the Yuken's quiet swearing as he reprimanded himself, the boy only having turned off the device and thinking it was enough to remain untraceable. "We've wasted enough time as it is, and the longer we stay here, the worse your punishment will be. Now, come on!"
The two guards were about to take to the air but suddenly stopped when Yuken, surprisingly, replied, "I'm not going." And the pair turned around in time to see the boy retrieve his communicator from his ear and then crush it into dust. "Not with you, or any other Saiyan. I'm not going to that meeting and I'm not leaving this planet. I'm staying on Earth, and that's final!"
For a moment the area was dead silent, Bok and Choy staring at the boy flabbergasted. Then, in sync, both broke into loud, uncontrollable laughter, Choy going so far as to clutch his abdomen as he did. Once their laughter had died down, it was Yuken's turn to look confused, the pair wiping the tears away and soon either rolling their shoulders or cracking their knuckles.
"So, you want to stay here till your dying day?" Choy inquired.
"Well, that can be arranged," Bok finished, both smirking darkly as they entered fighting poses.
