Heavy Weights: On
Training thread for new SU2 tech, also receiving aforementioned weights. ^-^

“This thing weighs more than I doooo,” she whined as Nana dressed her in awful, heavy clothes.
“They’re weighted, to help you grow stronger,” Nana explained, her lips pressed tight. “They cost a pretty penny, too, so quit complaining.”
“I’m not complaining...and you didn’t have to spend money on me. We need a ship and to get to Namek and find Pin…”
“Shush, Birdie, I didn't buy them - they're the same ones you've worn before. In the desert, remember?” Nana said. The Saiyan tugged and pinched until the clothes fit and didn’t budge. “Now, let’s practice.”
"The desert, right...I kind of blocked that all out," the five year old admitted with a nod, feeling rather silly in the bulky clothes, and aimed a kick at Ban’s shin which she dodged easily. It went on much like that for a little while until, finally, Nana’s phone rang and she put the friendly match on hold.
“I’ve got to go, keep practicing,” she said. “An offer for work’s come in and I’ve got to take it. Don’t wander off too far and don’t go making trouble - and don’t draw attention to yourself!”
Kay-El Coliflo, with her dark, blue hair in a braid, already made it halfway to the door as Nana Ban recited the daily, ritualistic words whenever she left for work for the day. Nana used to tell her ‘Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,’ until Kay realized there wasn’t much Nana wouldn’t do…
She seemed to get her own list of ‘clients’ for the day. Wandering here and there, the knowledge that the young Hybrid child could cure sleep ailments, at least temporarily, made its way around the town they’d made their current home. Panstu asked her to visit with his ailing mother who seemed unable to rest so she could heal whatever, well, ailed her. Pantsu paid her with enough food to last a few days and Kay-El moved on to the next house. Nana didn’t know about her side job, not really, because if she did she’d stop Kay from doing it. And if Kay did this work, she felt like she contributed and helped Nana - the elder Saiyan woman devoted her life to helping Kay, it felt like the least she could do in return.
It was at her fifth and last ‘patient’ for the day that it happened. Her arms crossed in front of her, the child’s eyes closed, her song permeated the room in a slow and steady rhythm. Soft, like a feather’s caress, it lulled the target to sleep. Raising her arms up above her, palms together, if felt stronger all of a sudden. The trick she’d learned from Sam long ago, her demonic tutor, but until now it didn’t work. A dud, a flop, but now power surged through her and into her target ensuring they slept for longer.
Like a piece of a puzzle falling into place after eons of searching for it, everything felt right.
She made the now familiar trek back to their small apartment, spilling her earnings from the day on the table and picking apart a loaf of bread until all had been consumed. After all, Kay-El was still a growing girl. Taking another loaf and some cheese, she headed out towards the western woods where she intended to practice this new, upgraded technique, just to make sure those results proved more than a one time thing.
Maybe these new clothes really were all Nana cracked them up to be.
