Arynx sat on a bench in Satan City Municipal Park. He’d held a concert here just recently, and was surprised to see how quickly the Parks & Recreation department had cleaned up the place. The way his fans had left it, he thought it would just be reclassified as a landfill and condemned. He was impressed.
His guitar, a custom instrument made from lightweight but durable materials gathered from several different planets throughout the cosmos, rested on his leg. His left hand gripped the neck, holding down several of the strings as his right hand plucked at them deftly. A quiet but haunting melody danced from the guitar into any nearby earholes. Arynx’s eyes were shut, the corners of his mouth turned up ever so slightly in a smile.
He’d been on Earth for far longer than he’d ever expected. He didn’t have any complaints - Earth was a far nicer planet than he’d ever expected. Most other planets he’d visited were covered from North to South in sprawling cities and neon lights. Sure, Earth had some of that too, but Arynx had never seen a park just sitting in the middle of a major city like this. Amazing.
Earth wasn’t boring like some planets either - Namek was pretty, and the people were chill, but the planet itself was a snoozefest. Nothing but weird trees and farms with a couple of moderately sized cities. Nothing TRULY urban. Earth really did seem to have it all.
So, Arynx sat in the park, plucking and strumming away, pausing every now and again to write something in a little notebook. This park was far more conducive to composing than he’d expected. Maybe it was the serenity of the place. Maybe it was the fresh air. Maybe it was the memory of a local literally taking a bullet for him. Whatever it was, Arynx liked it.

The young Arcosian knowns as Core would be walking around in Satan City for now clear reason. He had nothing to do right now and he honestly wanted to enjoy some relaxation since his training of the day was done. In his hand, he had a chocolate ice cream which was melting under the warm sun that was above the city in this rather hot day. In his walks, he ended up in a park where he could hear some sort of music which was really… well… not really his style. [ W-what is making that kind of sound… it’s so annoying…] He would think to himself as he licked a bit of his ice-cream, trying to ignore the weird sound that was getting louder or quieter as he was walking through this place he never been before, but was rather really peaceful and nice.
While walking through many people, Core felt that something was on his tail, he turned back to see a small furry animal which was climbing on his, he would tilt his head as the animal would climb up his bio-armor and would look at his face. A little human boy pointed at the animal. ‘’ Look mom, the weird lizardman is going to eat the squirrel.’’ The young boy would say, making Core tilt his head before grabbed the beast named ‘squirrel’ carefully and putting him down before patting his head gently. [Well… I guess the animals on this planet really like me for some reasons…] He would think as his eyes landed on the source of the annoying noise, someone playing with some sort of long stick, he would walk to him. ‘’ Hey mister, what is that? And I think its crying for help…’’ He would say, pointing at his guitar with a rather annoyed look. ‘’ Could you stop torturing it please? It makes really weird sounds…’’

A certain hybrid walked through the pathways of a local park, taking a simple stroll with his partner. The day was rather warm for the hybrid's tastes, but regardless his day was being well-spent. Beside him, Phae Waterfield was quietly walking beside her husband, Celmaru Waterfield. A soft smile was stretched across her face, and she was content with what she had been given for the day. The hybrid was surrounded by the murmurs of the Humans that questioned him; starting rumors, despising him like always. Attempting to ignore them, Celmaru simply basked in the bright sunlight of the day, enjoying the time he had without anyone ruining it. Phae had her arms around her husband's resting her head against his forearm. As they passed a small pond, Celmaru picked up an above average Ki signature. Two at once, actually. Furrowing his brow, the hybrid spoke aloud softly. " Eight thousand and twenty-five thousand...Something akin to Walker and another similar to....Frigi..." The finishing words on Celmaru's sentence was filled with disdain. Frigi was an arcosian that Celmaru had very mixed feelings about, he only hoped that this one wasn't the same. " Another power?" Phae said, interrupting Celmaru's thoughts, "Shall we greet them?" " Be wary of them, but if you'd like, we could." Phae gently nodded her head in response, and Celmaru complied willingly. Changing their aimless course along the path, the two headed towards the two power sources. The other inhabitants of Earth surrounded them both, odd stares and lurking suspicions filling the air. It wasn't unusual for Celmaru to receive such disrespect; he was a Saiyan-Human hybrid, and his Saiyan side was obvious enough to Humans. The conflict with the Saiyans didn't help the hybrid seem any better to the public, and his social problems only got worse from them. Thankfully, Phae was there to help him; make him feel like a person, like he was loved by someone besides his parents. The couple approached the two powers, one of which was certainly odd-looking. The first wore a ton of leather, and had a guitar on his left leg, strumming it periodically. The other, however, was definitely an arcosian. He had horns protruding from his head, and his bio-armor was immediately noticeable on his form. It was likely that he was in a suppressed form, but Celmaru dismissed the fact as he introduced themselves. " Greetings to you both! I noticed your Ki signatures as we passed by here; and it seemed interesting that two above-average powers would happen to be here. My name is Celmaru Waterfield, what might yours be?" Celmaru lightly bowed as he spoke, making sure to give a pleasant first-impression. Phae, meanwhile, nestled up against her husband's arm, content with being this close to him. She almost completely ignored the conversation that was about to transpire, and would likely just pay attention to Celmaru unless addressed. The hybrid was incredibly wary of the two as he introduced himself to them, unsure of their intentions. This meeting could go anywhere.

[38,622 PL + Heavy Weights = 9,656 Thread PL] Chili sat at a picnic table, this red coated canine having gotten comfy in the park and decided to have lunch here. With some pocket change he had managed to purchase himself a sandwich layered with shavings of fresh hot meat. Cheap street food was always a plus in these bustling metropolises. This delicacy of the urban landscape would satisfy Chili for sure. Slathered with a fine sauce and some vegetable additives, accompanied by a home made pickle, the first bite from the dog's muzzle had his taste buds melting.
The Zoan chewed his mouthful of sandwich as he looked around the beautiful park that fit snugly into the buildings all around. A serene place for someone to enjoy their food, and nearby a man played a guitar while situated on a bench. Chili stared at him for a few seconds, his strumming was very relaxing and only added more atmosphere to the park itself. However something irked in the back of the young pup's brain. He could swear he knew that man from somewhere...
"Oh well" Chili concluded as he took another mouth filling bite of his lunch. He closed his eyes as he chewed thoroughly and rested his elbows on the picnic table. His mother would probably have yelled at him for those bad manners but it was just him here. After swallowing the Zoan opened his eyes to find a tailed alien now talking to the guitar wielding man. It looked like he hadn't just gotten Chili's attention.
The canine took another bite as he observed these two now, the guy with the tail seemed to want to ask some questions. Chili raised his brows as he wondered what they could be discussing. He would chew and chew as he kept an eye on these two. He couldn't really pick up any words from all the way over to where he sat. But his attention peaked when another two people joined in, and it was people he knew!
Celmaru and his strange seaweed guardian, how could Chili forget the man with the Mom who has a vice like hug.
The dog quickly popped the last bit of his sandwich into his muzzle and jumped up out of his seat. Flying his short body across the park and dropping down next to Celmaru with a messy food in teeth grin.
"CHEMABU!" the dog said gleefully with a mouthful of food. "FABE!"

Thread PL: 8,000 | Ki is Suppressed Had her 5000 PL Guard with her

The park. Why Nana always wanted to go to boring places, Kay-El would never know. Nana had also wanted to go to some rock concert a few nights ago but they couldn’t afford it. They could, however, afford tickets to The Dragon and the Lambs concert. And Kay-El Coliflo loved Hannibelle Evensong. Nana, while not liking Hannibelle’s music, at least admitted she was a good role-model for young girls and supported her charge’s interest in the Bio-Android.
“Why are we here again?” Kay asked, her dark, midnight blue eyes that matched her hair looking up at the elder Saiyan woman who walked with a cane,
Nana just smiled back and Kay thought that, without her tail, Nana could almost pass for human. “Because it’s nice to get out nice to get out once in a while. Nowhere to be, no itinerary before we head out soon...and because I thought it a nice place for a picnic.”
Kay sighed and looked around at all the different people at the park. Some old people played games in the corner, others meandered or sat talking and laughing. Nana watched them as if reading them and she probably was, at least their Ki, anyway. And then the young half-demon half-saiyan spotted him: the young man playing guitar in the center of it all. Her eyes widened and shined with glee before she took off, running over to him and pulling out a pen and paper.
“Kay-!l you get back here!” she heard, but as usual, ignored her caretaker.
“Hi! You’re Arynx, right?” she said rather quickly, her excitement like a physical, tangible thing. “Can I get your autograph? Please? It would mean the world to my Nanny, she’s a big fan of your music…”
A hand landed on her shoulder and she looked back briefly at Nana Ban. “What did I tell you about running off?” Nana said and then addressed the young man. “I’m sorry, was she botheri…”
Nana froze and Kay frowned. In all her life she’d never known Nana to be afraid or freeze at anything. Maybe she’d made a mistake, was this not Arynx? Or did Nana not like him that much after all?”
Nana cleared her throat and smoothed her hands down her sides in an old, nervous habit. “I’m sorry, truly, Kay we really must be going. Sorry if she was bothering you.”

[ Thread PL: 63,834] [ UT] Liquid Ki - Mist Active! Ki suppressed to 10000]
Under the trees nearby sat another individual; an Arcosian by the name of Defrosch. He had some business to take care of in Satan City; primarily some fast food delivery work given to him by Mr. Scallo in Ginger Town. After making his rounds for the day, Defrosch decided to relax in the Satan City park, which happened to have a concert going on for a while. While he didn't fully engage in the festivities (as they were quite... Chaotic) he was a fan of music, so he enjoyed the background noise for the time being. However, all concerts have a curtain call, and (relative) peace returned to the park. The clean up crew did a bang-up job as well... Not too surprising considering the level of damage the SSE left behind for Earth to clean up. The source of the music from earlier seemingly decided to stick around, and it was clear that they were no regular denizen of Earth given their current level of ki. The spirit behind this ki was interesting as well... Perhaps it was their musical taste? Defrosch wouldn't linger on that for long, as he quickly picked up several others converge on the area. A Saiyan of substantial strength who seemed to have a large amount of seaweed attached to him, an Earthling Zoanthrope that made their way towards the Saiyan in question, a being of partial demonic nature, who was accompanied by that looks like their caretaker and... An Arcosian. Defrosch hopped up instantly, letting out a low growl while looking for the other Arcosian. 'Better not be--' Before he could finish the thought, and as if the universe wanted to once again pull a fast one on him, he saw that the other Arcosian was indeed- '-Another... Kid. Kais above... Who keeps spawning these and leaving them around?!' Defrosch groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. 'This is ridiculous...' For now Defrosch would keep an eye on the situation, ready to act in case something overly chaotic occurs. Core Stold remember to include your thread PL ;)

Post by Arynx on Mar 7, 2016 5:50:03 GMT
Arynx was pulled away from his playing and composing as he was approached rather unceremoniously by a member of a species his manager was quite fond of - an Arcosian. The Arcosians had proven to be avid fans of rock music before the fall of their home planet, at which point sales took an unexpected dive. This Arcosian, however, did not share his peoples' tastes. " This?" Arynx said to him, " Its...are you serious? It's a guitar. An instrument. And I'm not used to people telling me to my face that I'm torturing it. They usually save that for rude tweets and YouTube comments." He respected this guy's candor, despite the absolute rudeness. Then they were approached by another man. This man had a particularly...exotic looking woman on his arm. He had to admit that he felt a stronger than normal attraction towards her - it probably had something to do with her apparent aquatic nature. The Zoonamite in him absolutely loved it. Still, she was clearly very fond of her partner, and despite the tweets and YouTube comments, he wouldn't get in the way of what could very possibly be true love. The man introduced himself in a particularly friendly manner. Arynx took silent note of his mention of "above average power". He'd have to look into that further sometime down the line. " A pleasure to meet you, Celmaru Waterfield. I'm Arynx," he said, surprised that he hadn't been recognized. Then again, not everyone cared to know the face behind the music, " And who is this lovely woman you're lucky enough to have charmed?" Before he could get an answer, a young Zoanthrope came bounding up to Celmaru and his bride, a mouth filled with what looked to be a partially-chewed local delicacy. He was clearly familiar with them, and called their named through a full mouth enthusiastically. Arynx let out a quiet laugh. He liked this one. He found himself sorely tempted to reach over and ruffle the little dog's hair, maybe scratch him behind the ears. He was also kind of curious where he could get a sandwich of his own - he tried to keep his diet fairly clean, but now and again he would indulge in something more decadent. Before he could do either of those things, however, yet another small person came running up to him. She held out a pen and paper - he knew this approach very well. He smiled at her. She couldn't have been more than five or six years old. He was surprised to have such a young fan - especially someone of apparent Saiyan descent. Sales were kind of spotty on Vegeta. Arynx always assumed this was because the Saiyans were too busy killing things to really appreciate good music. One day he'd write an album just for them, though. He doubted Hannibelle would ever bother to do that. " Your Nanny," he said, his smiled growing as the young girl explained herself, " Has excellent taste. I'd be happy to sign for her. I bet she takes very good care of you, for you to be so brave for her. What's your Nanny's name?" Before the little girl could answer, a woman came up behind her and began to scold her and apologize for her. This woman was definitely the Nanny. Arynx would normally become irritated with so many constant interruptions, but this particular roller coaster of social clumsiness was beginning to amuse him. He stood, slinging his guitar to his back where it hovered in place with a soft whurrrr of magnetic energy. " You...must be her Nanny." Arynx reached forward and brushed two fingers through the older Saiyan woman's hair, his smile changing to something more of a rogueish smolder. " I'd have thought you were an older sister. Maybe a cousin. Little Kay here tells me you're a fan. She's such a darling." He looked down at Kay-El and gave her a subtle thumbs up. " I love meeting my fans. I'd be happy to sign anything you'd like. I'll even personalize it if you promise not to sell it on eBay." He winked at her. Silently, he resigned himself to not getting much more work done in the park. He'd known there would be a risk of being recognized, but deep down he knew that was exactly why he decided to hang out in public with his guitar. He loved attention. He loved glory. He fed off of it. He believed that it literally provided him with nourishment of some kind. ________________________________ Core Stold

‘’ A guitar uh… is it some kind of weapon use to destabilize enemies? Because if so, it must be so efficient really… but why would you practice in such a place? It’s kind of evil for everyone else right?’’ He would ask with a rather innocent voice, he was convince it was something that was made to hurt people, and he didn’t even reacted at the mentions of things like ‘tweets’ and youtube comment, he had no clue what those could be and had no really intention to react to it, not wanting to talk about something he had no idea existed since he could be saying some stupid things.
The young Arcosian would turn to the couple of person who was walking towards them, the male simply greeting them rather politely; Core would smiles lightly and greets them with a nod of his head. ‘’ Hi there, I can sense you have a much above average power level of your own, that’s quite impressive really, and even your… uh… friend over here is really strong. My name is Core Stold, I am new to Earth and it is nice to meet you mister Celmaru!'' Core’s look would stop for a moment on the female that was with the human, he would smile to her and nod before turning his attention to anything else that would be around.
Core would then see something that would totally confuse him, there was a rather giant dog coming their way, though the canine look of the thing, which looked a bit like the dog he had previously saved with his friend Zay-El, this one looked way more humanoid and well… more human than the previous one. [Uh… maybe dogs grow up to become much more like humans… I guess?] He would think, quickly looking away as the image of his dogs grown up would make him shiver a bit and look away.
When Core was going to turn back to the musician, he would notice in the distance Kay-El, he would smile lightly and wait until she was done asking things at the man before slowly walking to her and whispering lightly in her ear. ‘’ H-hey… have you noticed the human-sized dog over there…. Do they all grow to this size… that would be scary… ‘’ He would whisper before going back from a step and smiling at her. ‘’ Though! You seem to appear everywhere I go Kay! Maybe you’re following me?’’ He would say as a joke to her.
When the young Arcosian noticed that the older Arcosian was weirdly looking at him, he would go on Kay’s other side, putting her between both of them, he didn’t liked being looked that much, even more since the Arcosian really looking like he already didn’t liked him, his attention would return to the couple. [Uh… is that a thing friends do… ] He would think, looking at the girl the human was with as he looked at Kay-El and would gently hug her, a bit confused for a moment before going back to where he was naturally.

"Ah, excuse me....this is Phae Waterfield, my...er.."
"Lawfully wedded wife...you cannot take him." Phae interjected, holding her husband's arm with greater force.
"Er....Phae, please don't be so rude to them."
"But I-"
Celmaru softly smiled at her, but the expression held tremendous amounts of threatening intent. Phae ceased her potentially rude speech, and continued to embrace her husband's forearm as he gently patted her head. Resting his hand upon his wife's head softly, another Ki signature was picked up by the hybrid. This one was familiar, and had a young and naive feeling to it; Chili Pepper. Turning his head to face the arriving zoanthrope, Celmaru simply raised his hand, acknowledging his presence.
"Hello Chili! Its been a while, hasn't it?"
"How have you been, little puppy?"
"But, word of advice for next time; please swallow your food before speaking."
Before the young canine would be able reply, a small girl ran up to Arynx, holding a pen and paper in her small hands. She ran between the couple and Chili, thrusting the pen and paper in question towards Arynx. As Arynx became busy with the small child, and as Chili was busy swallowing his food, Celmaru shifted his immediate attention to Core Stold, who pointed out his above-average power, along with Phae's.
"W-Well, I'm still not using my full power, and I don't believe Phae is either..."
"Celmaru uses weights to train, which limits his output of Ki whilst they are in use....so his power is much greater than this....roughly fifteen-thousand more."
"Er....Yes..."
The hybrid wasn't used to taking praise, even after Phae entered his life. Giving the small arcosian a sheepish look he simply replied after hearing that he was new to Earth. A minor expression of surprise permeated throughout the hybrid's face before returning to his normal, relaxed expression.
"Ah, you're new to this planet? Well, welcome to Earth then....just don't blow up any cities and you'll be fine!"
"I wouldn't think that a child would be able to destroy a city, Celmaru."
"Well, we've seen a sentient tree, a bipedal fox and canine, aliens that are akin to lizards, and ungodly creatures that practically represent the darkest depths of Hell itself...a child that could destroy entire cities can be entirely possible, Phae."
The two muttered odd summarizations of what they've seen on their adventures, making sure to speak quietly enough for the little arcosian to be unable to hear. Turning away from each other to continue speaking to the little alien, Celmaru kept their brief conversation going, keeping the polite mannerisms evident to the others.
"I do hope you enjoy your stay here, Core Stold."
Phae smiled at Core quietly, projecting a motherly warmth about her. She had always wanted to become a Mother, and children often prodded at a soft spot in her heart from their appearance alone. Forcing herself to look away from the small child, Phae turned towards Arynx, who was brushing his hand by Kay-El's elder's hair, giving her a certain look that Phae only associated with playboys. A subtle look of disgust swept across her face before hiding the expression immediately. She had a suspicious feeling about the rockstar, but she wouldn't pin anything on him unless he came onto her, or did anything to Celmaru. Meanwhile, the hybrid husband continued his conversation with Core, but now with Chili as well (assuming that he had finally swallowed his food).
"So how are you two today? Have you been well, Chili? How long have you been on Earth, Core? Are you any older than Chili here?"
Celmaru would hand the two a few questions to answer, but was mere small talk...which Celmaru wasn't great at. The hybrid was shocked that he was able to bring forth such words without it sounding unnatural. Celmaru left the rest of the conversation happening with the intergalactic star and the child to Phae's ears for now, and would only join back in if any of them needed his attention; or a showcase of his power. The hybrid was caught up with the other, supposedly younger, arcosian and Chili, who of which he hasn't seen in a few weeks.

Chili almost felt embarrassed as he had indeed ran up while sputtering up food. But he couldn't just not finish his sandwich while it was still very warm. He took Celmaru's advice though and began to chew the remainder of his food and then swallow it down, smacking his lips a bit. " Sorry about that" he grunted out before smirking at the hybrid Saiyan. He was suddenly brushed by as a young girl ran between them and Chili's eyes followed her up to the guitar playing man. His eyes staring as once again he thought he knew the man, and he did, and it was brought back to him as the girl said his name. Chili brought both of his paws to his cheeks. " Oh wow it IS Arynx!" the Zoan gasped, he did know him! He had listened to some of his music and was certain his mother had put a poster up in his room for him, not that he spent a bunch of time there. He continued to stare as the Rockstar made some moves on the older female with the girl. Chili hadn't expected this meeting to grow so suddenly. His ears were just about eavesdropping on the conversation between the celebrity and elder, he was then asked sudden questions by Celmaru. " Oh yeah I've been good Mr. Waterfield, how are you and uh-" he would look up at Phae " Wife? Doing?". Now his attention was brought back to the Arcosian who stood near them, not that Chili had ever seen one. At this point Core wasn't the weirdest thing the Zoan had ever seen. The dog continued to look around however not having much else to do, and his eyes caught Core's. He followed his line of site and found another Arcosian! This one was darker however and seemed to have an interest in this group. Chili would tug his hat on his head to make sure it was wedged on tight. " I guess a Rockstar would cause a crowd." Kay-El

Kay turned to Core and ignored everyone else like it were a skill. In fact, Kay-El always retained the skill of singular focus and one-track mindedness. A side effect of being five, she resigned herself to it long ago. " Maybe you're following me," she joked and hugged her friend back, her eyes taking in the Zoanthrope and going back to Core to answer his other question. " No, no, that's another species entirely. They talk and everything, nothing like our fluffy friend from the other day. Also, and more importantly," she said curiously - as always, curious about Core and the world he came from. " Did you guys not have music on Arcose?" How in the world did Core not know what a guitar was? " Music is..." she turned to Arynx as if to ask him to play something, thought better of it, and turnbed back to face the other child again. Pulling out her phone she put on Hannibelle Evensong's latest single, not loud enough to be annoying but loud enough for Core to hear. " Music: it's...it's like...the best." She frowned, her own lack of descriptive words bothering her, but some things were so, so just always there and innate. How do you explain snow to a tropical fish? She sang along, her voice like an angel's, and said, " It's just music!" Behind the children, Nana barely managed not to blush. " Well, thank you, Arynx, you do know how to flatter a woman." With the hint of lines at her eyes, Nana was well into her sixties, but the young man chose to ignore that. " Kay-El is a bit...precocious, my apologies at her intrusion on your solitude." She focused, taking in everyone around them, and the elder Saiyan woman read their power levels. Some were around or equal to Kay, herself, but others were well over double their own signatures. AFter rummaging through her bag the only thing she could find for him to sign was a small flyter from his show the other night. " Thank you for being such a good example to your fans..." she smiled and it reached her eyes, a heartfelt compliment. "You truly are an inspirational force in the universe. My name is Ban, and I'd never part with it. Even if I needed money, I'd never need it badly enough to sell such a wonderful keepsake." -- Defrosch

Defrosch squinted at the group before rolling his eyes, his more neutral expression returning. 'Cool your jets, Defrosch. A kid is nothing to worry about... At least they've managed the suppression technique.' The older Arcosian exhaled sharply, folding his arms before slowly making his way towards the group. "You'd think someone with your musical talent would be dealing with all those rowdy concert goers right now rather than just a few people." By paying more attention to the looks of this group rather than their ki, Defrosch raised an eyebrow curiously at the musician, he could've sworn that he's seen this guy somewhere. "... Huh, you're Arynx, aren't ya? I think I might have a collectors CD that has one or two of your songs on it. 'Final Form' was the name of the CD, from what I remember." Defrosch tapped his chin to recall the name of a song, but all he could get on such short notice was a tune, which he began to hum absentmindedly. He was getting quite embarrassingly into it, doing slight drum related motions as if he was visualizing the song. While it was on point, he didn't look any less silly... You kinda need the instrument for the whole deal to work after all. It took Defrosch a moment to realize, but he had spaced out into the 'music zone' after accidentally switching to another song. He would quickly snap back to reality, but the damage was done, he had likely made a fool of himself. "Ahaha, whoops! My bad, I tend to be a bit out of it around music. S'one of my favorite things." With a slight bow to the group, he introduced himself. "Anyways, I'm Defrosch. Sup." He gave off an awkward chuckle and a wave. 'Yes. Nailed it.'

Arynx was glad to note that the young Arcosian had been sufficiently distracted by the new arrivals. He apparently knew the young Kay-el, who took it upon herself to teach the apparently born-yesterday Arcosian all about music. Arynx did his best to hide the disdain on his face when the little girl played a Hannibelle single as her example. He reminded himself that little girls were firmly not in his demographic.
Arynx smiled at Phae when she showed a certain...posessiveness towards her husband. He could respect that, and could certainly appreciate that she considered the possibility that Arynx might take him from her. It was a rare occasion that he met a jealous wife. It was usually the boyfriends and husbands that threw punches...and elbows...and shoes...and tomatoes...one threw a brick one time. He'd heard later that the brick-thrower was apparently a cop, so he didn't pursue it.
He took a moment to acknowledge the young Zoan, Chili, as he finally recognized Arynx. He smiled at the dog, and ruffled his hair beneath his hat.
"Don't run away, kid," he said to Chili, "I want to know where you got that sandwich."
It was around this time that he noticed Kay having trouble explaining why music was so great. He knelt down beside her and smiled as she sang along to her detestable song selection.
"Music is the language with which the soul itself communicates. It transcends language, species, culture, and even time. It ties us all together, even if we don't all agree on it," he said to her and to Core before standing back up to return his full attention to Ban.
"Nonsense," he said to the older woman, "If I'd wanted solutide I would have stayed in my penthouse suite. You should be proud that she was so readily willing to approach someone regardless of their fame. It shows a lot of courage and character."
He took the flyer and produced a silver Sharpie. He signed it for her, personalizing it with her name and a message about safeguarding future generations. He handed it back to her, looking a little dissatisfied.
"Cherish this all you like, but it just won't do. These flyers are never designed to last, it's part of the industry's evil plan to keep autographs rare."
He thought for a moment, trying to think of something better, something she would talk about, something she could show off. Something that would look real good on social media.
"Here," he said, putting his guitar down and taking off his signature leather jacket, "Take this. Let it keep you warm with the power of rock and roll." He winked at her as he signed the inner lining of the jacket beneath the collar before put it around her shoulders. It wasn't a perfect fit, but Arynx was built slim enough that she wasn't swimming in it. She hardly looked out of place at all. He could easily get another jacket. He'd been meaning to do so anyway.
He looked up from Ban at the new Arcosian that had approached. This one was at least somewhat familiar with his work, and referenced an ensemble album he'd done shortly after he hit his first popularity bubble. He hummed a couple of tunes, neither of them his but rather from artists he'd respected enough to work with. Arynx smiled and nodded along with the humming.
"Final Form was a good album. Too bad the sales weren't enough to justify a sequel album, I'd have liked to work with Barracuda again," Arynx said. He'd never told Barracuda that he'd been part of the Bio-Android's genetic makeup. He thought it would be weird.
"You bring me a copy of that disc and I will sign it in a heartbeat. Performing Majin Mash with the Scissorkick Sisters was one of the best afternoons I've had in a recording booth. Nice to meet you, by the way. Love to meet an Arcosian fan."

The crowd was getting bigger and bigger as Core would look around, a bit embarrassed, he didn't like when there was too many people around where he was, he always preferred small group of people, for two major reasons. First, most of people though Arcosian were evil, ‘frost demon’ like they called them, and were judging by only his appearance and it occurred in his still shot experience on Earth that he was misjudge to be someone evil and hated without a good reason, making a good day easily falling into a bad one. Core is still a child, so his emotions are sensitive as well. The young Arcosian’s eyes would meet those of the woman who was with the saiyan, and her smile would confuse him a bit as it felt warmth and welcoming, he knew at least this one wasn’t judging him in the bad way, he would then turn to the saiyan knowns as Celmaru. ‘’ Thanks for greeting me, and don’t worry... I don’t plan on blowing up cities... there is way too much good things in them!’’ He would say as he looked away from the woman and the saiyan.
When he turned back to Kay-El, who had hugged him back, signaling it haven’t mistook the movement he saw on the couple and would make him smile as he felt well while the hug was going. ‘’ Eh eh, oh? Is that it? So he’s not a dog uh… I could swear he was...’’ He would answer as he looking again at the Zoanthrope and smiled a bit before hearing her next question, he would smiles lightly. ‘’ They probably have, but I told you, I was raised in a lab, cut from everything else, the only music I had was to put me to sleep on special occasion, but it was much… better to the ear than this thing..’’ He would simply say.
When the music came from the weird electronic Kay-el was carrying, Core would begin to listen a bit, it was sure better than what the ‘rockstar’ was playing on his torture instrument, and well, Core would smiles a bit as he heard her sing, it was rather good to be honest with himself. Core had forgotten that there were many people around them; he was just enjoying the moment. ‘’ Well, I might be a bit novice in term of music, but isn’t this way better than his thing with his torture stick?’’ He would say as he looked at Arynx who had started to sing a lot Kay-El. ‘’ I mean, maybe it’s just me, seeing everyone you’re rallying around you, and I’m not an expert at it, so don’t take offense to what I say, I’m ignorant on the subject.’’ He would tell the artist, as Core didn’t wanted to show himself as a rude person who wanted to talk about something they had no idea about, he would then turn back to Kay and listened to her singing, trying rather well to um the beat for her, his vocal cord were rather good to express many sound so he was doing most of it right.

As the rather odd looking man in purple walked through the park, he could hear people whispering amongst themselves, as if his very presence added to the park's rather calm and relaxed atmosphere. "Is that really him?", he could swear he heard some teenage girl whisper to her boyfriend as they walked by. "Isn't that guy the one who...", He couldn't hear how that sentence ended, as it was spoken by some child to what seemed to be his grandma as they walked past him, but he was pretty sure the kid was talking about him. Who else could the kid of been talking about? You see, the odd looking man not only was a retired television star, but also currently in the running for president of the entire planet. Everyone knew his name, they had to. That's what he had paid his campaigners to do, make sure everyone knew his name. It was a good thing that before he went out for his daily jog in his running wear, which was taken out of some vintage work-out videos, that he grabbed some stylish shades. His outfit was, as the kids would say, "on point". He was glad everyone was talking about him, and in fact, it was the first time since quitting his show he realized he had missed the limelight. In fact, an opportunity like this only came around once or twice. It was time to bask in his glory.
Attempting to jump on a bench, and after failing that, got into what was a rather lackluster battle with said bench, and eventually was victorious, now standing upward for everyone in the park to see.
"Hello, citizens of the city of Satan. It is I, your soon to be president, JAX PUNCHLUST, here among you all! I normally don't do this, but I'll offer free autographs all day for anyone who wants one! So come on up, and get one!"
To further entertain his audience, Jax ripped the top portion of his outfit, allowing a bit of his hairy chest to show. He then posed with his arms behind his back, and his legs stretched far apart, exposing his crotch to all.
"COME WITNESS JUSTICE, EVERYONE!"
To Jax, this was great. He felt almost heavenly, in fact. For the first time in forever, he had fans, people who admired him, who wanted him. After this, the whole city was sure to come rushing to the park, and get his autograph. Then they'd all vote for him, and after that he'd be put into office, and become one of the most believed presidents of all time. This was surely going to be one of the best days in his life. But upon looking up at those in the park, all of the dreams Jax had thought up in the last few seconds suddenly disappeared, as he saw the blank stares directed to him from all of the park-goers. He even saw a child having their eyes covered from their parent.
Looking to the bench right next to him, Jax saw a group of various species huddled around a man with a guitar. The man seemed vaguely familiar to him, but he couldn't put it together immediately. Then it hit him.
"Wait, I saw a flyer for that guy. Yeah, I had to use his flyers as parts of clothing when I was living in the trashcans here a few weeks ago. If I remember right, he even played a concert around these parts recently...wait...he's the person everyone was talking about..."
Turning back to those in the park, Jax gave an oddly shaped grin, as sweat started to quickly cover his face, to the point where his face was hard to even make out anymore.
"So...does anyone want a autograph?"
