Massive clutters of bamboo surrounded a hybrid warrior, along with a seaweed woman. The two traversed through the bunches of hollow plants cautiously, aware of the potential for injury. Soft chirps of the forest echoed all around them, and the Sun beat down upon them from above. The green woman near the hybrid spoke up as the couple stepped through the safe areas of the forest floor.
"Celmaru, why do we often traverse through these areas?"
The hybrid Celmaru Waterfield openly responded to her question, lightly floating above the grassy earth as he made subtle movements.
"Simply training, Phae. If Walker is right about the Queen and the SSE, then we need to train a ton until we can even hope to combat her and her army."
"But the Bamboo Forest isn't the most efficient place to train; a Gravity Chamber would-"
"I'm honestly not one for them, Phae...you know that."
"I realize that, but the added gravity would benefit you greatly."
"I can use one when I'm sparring with Walker, alright Phae?"
"...I understand."
"....Thank you."
The two continued trudging through the natural wonderland, unsure if a clearing was nearby. The wooden spikes of bamboo towered over them both, poking at the sky with their height. Their mindless trek through the Bamboo Forest was interrupted by a source of Ki, albeit a smaller-than-average one; by what Celmaru was now used to. Looking towards his wife, the hybrid pointed this out to her.
"Do you sense that?"
"Barely, but I do."
"It seems different than what we've seen before....almost, more pacifistic. Do you think he's an something besides Saiyan or Bio-Android?"
"Most likely, he might be...."
"Might be what?"
"....One of the alien lifeforms that Walker mentioned."
"His Ki feels more peaceful than any other I've felt before....albeit Ayumu being an exception..."
"He barely even has a Ki signature..."
"That's why he's an exception."
Phae gently floated over towards her husband, wrapping her arms around him as she usually did. Feeling a minor jump in his chest, Celmaru attempted to ignore it as his aura flared up around him. A faint glow emanated from the warrior's hand, its light piercing through the darkness of the forest. Lifting his arm to hold the sphere before him, Celmaru shot off towards the signature, allowing the Ki Blast to burn through the hollow grasses, splitting them in twain. Phae firmly embraced her husband from behind as he shot off at an intense velocity towards the oddly benevolent Ki source, making sure she wouldn't slip off his backside. Hundreds of bamboo shoots were seared off their original shoots, falling into the grass below as the hybrid and his wife shot through the forest. Suddenly, a clearing appeared, revealing the source in all their glory. Celmaru's eyes went wide as he processed who he saw.
"Huh?.....Are you...a-"
"Namekian?"
Phae interrupted her husband, knowing the name of the race before Celmaru could recall it. The Namekian warrior only stood at a mere 500 in power measure, and compared to Celmaru's power, even weighted, it was pitiful by comparison. Folding his arms, Celmaru kept his suspicions available in his mind, as his Ki Sensing was incorrect before. This warrior's power could be much higher than his for all he knew. Meanwhile, Phae was softly sliding off the hybrid's back, elegantly floating above the ground as she usually did. This encounter could go many ways, and their introductory conversation would shape the course of it.

[PL = 538 with Heavy Weights equipped.]
Bamboo Forest. It was one of the most practical places on earth to train, both the body and mind. Not only was it a peaceful environment, for the most part, but it was also heavily shaded by the skyscraper like bamboo shoots. There were thousands of them, all scattered about in massive clusters. The unfortunate thing about them were their innately sharp nature. They could be as sharp as a sword, and if you nicked one the right way, you’d find yourself with an inch-deep cut. Without flight, navigation was also a rather strenuous task seeing as marking your way without damaging the habitat was nigh-impossible. Needless to say, an unprepared traveler would soon regret their decision of entering this forest.
Gnash, however was one of the many on Planet Earth that could manipulate Ki in such a way so as to allow him to fly, or hover above the ground. Should he get lost, he could just fly up into the air. Not that he would mind getting lost in such a serene location, though. This forest was an absolute paradise when it came to meditating or just catching a breath of fresh air. Relaxing in general was an easy thing to accomplish out here.
Relaxing wasn’t exactly Gnash’s forte, so-to-speak. Not right now. He was out here to train. To improve his overall physical body and skill without any interruption. He also had to try out the new weights he spent a ridiculous amount of money on. They were tailored specifically to his liking. His pauldron, arm-guards, belt, and boots were all magically enchanted to enhance gravity. When he actually thought back on it, he could kind of understand why they were priced at such a high amount. They actually worked, too. As soon as he put them on, he could feel his body being weighed down to the ground. so much so that it even put him to his knees the first time around. It took him a few hours to actually work up the strength to be able to fly around with them on. That led him to Bamboo Forest, where he began his training.
“Hiyat… Hiiiyat! Hiyat!, Hiyat!” Gnash’s lips parted and an audible grunt shot through with each punch he threw. His legs were spread shoulder-length apart, knees bent under the massive pressure put on his body. His feet were nearly flattening the ground underneath him like pancakes, and it took nearly every ounce of strength within his body to take a single step. The enhancements had been lightened up a tad upstairs, though it was still very apparent to anyone watching that he struggled with straightening his arms out. Sweat dripped down his hulking frame, small splotches of purple blood peppering his arms and neck from the rogue bamboo shoots. Along the way, he tried to avoid getting any of his clothes sliced up and instead used his body as a shield. That didn’t stop his cape from acquiring small niches here and there.
“You can do this, Gnash.. You can do this. You NEED this.. I cannot stay weak forever. I need to be able to step up to the plate when the time comes, not hide and cower in the shadows because of how weak I am. I need this not only for myself, but for others!”
Before Gnash could take another step further, his elongated ears serving their rightful purpose. They twitched within his hood as the buzzing sound of energy traveling closer and closer peaked his interest. Within the shades that the bamboo forest provided, Gnash could make out a ball of pure light enlarging to his right. His yellow hues widened in fear, body reacting much slower than he had ordered it to. Fortunately, the Namekian was able to lean his torso backwards and allow the energy sphere to narrowly glide across his chest and continue on its path.
Within mere seconds, two much higher power levels emerged from between the searing bamboo shoots, one seemingly hitching a ride on the other. Both of them stopped dead in their tracks, soul globes transfixed on the Namek himself. One of them looked to be some type of human; As expected, they made up the large popularity on Earth. The other.. Good lord, Gnash didn’t know how to describe the other one. It was obviously female, to the best of his knowledge. She was green, just like him. Not particularly her skin.. But her long, frilly hair. It coiled around her body and twisted around in such a gnarly manner. Almost like.. seaweed.
Unlike her partner, she was the one who was actually able to speak the name of his race. Gnash slowly struggled to raise his arms up beside his head, palms facing the two of them as he physically surrendered, gesturing to them that he meant no harm. “Y-yes.. I’m a Namekian..”
The lack of attention towards keeping his body upright soon proved to be foolhardy mistake. This error caused Gnash to fall straight to his bum, hands pressed against the ground, being the only two support beams that kept him from being pushed all the way to his back.

Celmaru attempted to hide a bright look of interest within his eyes, but failed to do so. The hybrid's eyes shone bright with pure, excited interest; as he's never seen a Namekian before. Watching as the weighted warrior fell onto his behind from his weights, Celmaru simply replied to his stammering statement.
"Oh, don't worry about me attacking you. I won't unless we have a reason to."
"I will only attack if you threaten my husband, are we clear?"
"Here, let me help you up there. I apologize if I startled you."
Celmaru stepped forward, towards the Namekian warrior. Extending his hand, he awaited for the green alien to reach for it. Once he did, Celmaru would simply help him up, pulling him with a fraction of his strength to remove his backside from the grass. A significant weight was noticeable with this Namekian, forcing Celmaru to use more of his strength.
'Weights...'
Celmaru nearly dropped the Namek after hearing that. The hybrid's grip on the alien nearly slipped from the initial shock. Making sure the green man wouldn't fall again, the hybrid picked him up (if he was allowed to do so) before possibly responding.
'I can tell that much....Phae?'
'Yes, its me.'
'You're able to use telepathy?'
'For centuries now, yes.'
'And you never used this before....why?'
'It didn't seem necessary.'
'.....Interesting. Anyway, this Namekian might still be dangerous, despite his low power. The weights are a very viable method of Ki Suppression....without actually suppressing it manually.'
'They must be very heavy...'
'I guess they could be, but for me its not that big of a deal.'
'You aren't holding back anymore.'
'I'm not?!'
The hybrid finally noticed his power running about at its maximum output by the time Gnash was pulled up from the ground. Phae floated up to her husband by the time the Namekian was (successfully) off the ground and standing on his feet, wrapping her arms around her husband once again. Stepping back to have introductions made, Celmaru simply began speaking before Gnash became terrified of them.
"Well, its a pleasure to meet you. My name is Celmaru Waterfield, and this little one here..." Celmaru patted Phae's head softly as he continued, "...This is Phae Waterfield."
"I am lawfully wedded to Celmaru," Phae briefly added, "You are not allowed to take him away from me."
She tightened her embrace around him, wrapping around Celmaru protectively as she usually does. He emitted a short chuckle before responding.
"You don't have to say that to everyone we meet, Phae."
"You never know if someone might take you away from me..."
"I...er...apologize for anything stupid she might do, Mr. Namekian..."
"I hope we come to an agreement about who Celmaru belongs to."
"Celmaru began blushing at this point, still uncomfortable with Phae's rash assumptions of those around him. She meant well, but sometimes it sounded rude. Turning his head to face Phae, Celmaru briefly scolded his wife.
"If you continue to act like this I won't let you rest on my back anymore."
"....."
Phae retreated, descending down his back to slightly hide her face. She began nuzzling up against her husband affectionately, conveying her love to him silently as Celmaru continued speaking.
"Once again, I apologize for her actions. In any case, what might your name be? I'd love to know the name of a Namekian!"
The hybrid's eyes once again lit up with curiosity, finally meeting an Namekian. A slew of questions entered Celmaru's mind as he awaited an answer from Gnash, impatient for answers. As he impatiently waited, Phae swiftly sent a short message in Gnash's mind.
'I do apologize for my husband's behavior....he's rather interested in something he doesn't know of; so please bear with him until he is satisfied.'
"Oh, and do you really have regenerative powers? And greater hearing capabilities compared to Humans? Do you know where Namek is?"
The hybrid's eyes lit up like a small child's as his questions were thrown at the poor Namekian with great pacing, almost faster than Phae anticipated. Celmaru's curiosity for Namekians was astounding!

Gnash seemed to strive in his attempt to raise his arm. After a few seconds, much longer than it would normally take him, he grasped the Hybrid’s hand. The man pulled him up with a lot more ease than Gnash would have originally thought. His Ki sensing abilities definitely weren’t off.. If he was able to raise Gnash this easily, he was extremely powerful. Just as the Namek barely got his heels onto solid ground, he felt the grip loosen. This in turn caused him to tighten his hold on Cel’s hand in order to keep himself from falling back down onto his ass. During his quick rebound, his yellow hues caught sight of the man’s face. He looked as if he was lost in thought, staring off into the forest directly behind Gnash himself.
Before Gnash’s bum could hit the floor once again, the hybrid ushered in a last effort and scooped him up off the ground. He could feel the pressure from the weights reanimate itself, taking hold of his body once more in an attempt to smash him back into the ground. These damned things were powerful. The longer he kept them on and utilized them to their fullest, the more he began to reassure himself that it was indeed worth the price he paid for them. By the time he was done training, surely they’d have served their purpose.
By the time he arrived on his feet, his mind wandered elsewhere. He could feel an enormous power level extremely close to him. It was reaching the tens of thousands.. And it wasn’t stopping. His astonishment was brought to the breaking point when he noticed that it was in fact the man standing before him who emanated such a prodigious amount of strength. That helped to bring back the thoughts of doubt within the Namekians conscience. There were so many powerful beings on Planet Earth. People and things who surpassed Gnash by leaps and bounds. How could he ever hope to compete with gods if he struggled to lift these weights?
He brought his gaze back up to the duo as a specific name rang throughout his elven-looking ears. Celmaru Waterfield. He had not a clue as to where he’d heard the name before, but it did sound familiar. Maybe from the guy who sold him the weights..? Or possibly even around town. It wouldn’t surprise him in the slightest. With his ears, he could practically hear for miles and miles should he so choose. He referred to the little woman by Phae Waterfield, gregariously patting her on the top of her cranium. He found it odd that they had the same surname. Possibly siblings? Or maybe even..?
Yep, they were married. Phae confirmed so by affectionately wrapping her tiny little arms around Cel’s waist, rubbing her cheek into the side of his abdomen. She stated Gnash himself wasn’t allowed to take him from her. “Erm.. What is that supposed to mean..?” He thought to himself, looking the duo over. They were an odd couple, really. If he saw those two in pictures side-by-side, he’d of never thought they’d be a couple, nevertheless married to each other. That was nice, though. At least two people seemed to be happily in love with one another?
He held his hand out for Celmaru to shake, stating his piece along with the gesture; “My name is Gnash.” He swiftly retracted the arm as soon as the two began hashing it out with one another. Celmaru quickly turned to the Namek and apologized, only for the small seaweed girl to retort. Gnash simply nodded his head, his goal not to anger either one of them. Even the girl was much more powerful than him, so he had to scratch pissing them off off of the list. Celmaru had completely turned the tables with one threat, though. Saying that if she kept up her little attitude she wouldn’t be able to ride on his back any longer quelled the green waifu, cause her to slink back behind Cel in what Gnash assumed was embarrassment.
“Uhm, I think I should get to my tr-” His tongue halted against his lips, pupils shrinking down to the size of acorns. Either he was crazy, or he had just heard Phae’s voice in his own head. But she didn’t actually speak.. did she? Celmaru didn’t seem to notice as he rambled on with questions about Gnash’s race. Was he maybe just hearing things? He had to be. There was no damn way she spoke inside of his head. No one could do that. Unless it was some sort of super secret rare technique that he didn’t know about. The chances of that being the case were one in a million.
“I uh.. Yes, to two of your questions. I actually heard your energy blast coming this way. And no, I don’t know where Namek is. I don’t even know if it still exists..” Gnash’s tone of voice dropped, a hint of sorrow slithering its way through his words. He really didn’t know if his home planet was still up there in the void of space anymore. Last he heard, it had been destroyed by some supposedly “Good” Android turned psycho. He liked to hope, though. Hope was the only thing driving him to get stronger, driving him to continue his research. His studies have definitely worked their magic. Not only has he been able to learn more about his race’s heritage, but he was able to spread the word of his people. Judging by the look on Celmaru’s face, he’d be given yet another opportunity here.
“I-.. I wish I knew. I would gladly depart there right now if it was still up there,” Gnash looked up to the sky, eyes piercing through the blanket of shadows. “How about you two? I don’t mean to be offensive here.. But your partner doesn’t look like she is from Earth, either. I don’t know too much about races other than the Earthlings and Namekians myself… But I suppose broadening my knowledge wouldn’t hurt?” He spoke in a polite tone, again not wanting to set either of them off. The Namekian’s expression morphed into a genuine smile. He’d begun to open up to the duo a bit more, despite their awkward appearance and his initial impression of them.

"Do Namekians have several different shades of green besides a forest green hue? Can you extend your arms to extreme lengths at will? Can you transform?"
Celmaru was too busy battering Gnash with his questions to notice his reactions towards Phae's telepathy. His eyes were still lit up like a tiny child's; broadcasting to anyone that saw him that he wasn't usually able to enact such a bold barrage like this. He was tense, but not from embarrassment or stress. Phae was slowly becoming concerned over him, unsure if he'd be able to cease his interrogation. Gnash offered a few questions of his own, but Celmaru dismissed them as he thought up of more to say.
"Is Namek farther away from Earth than Vegeta? Do Namekians have genders?....Or are they both slash none?"
"Celmaru, please cease your insatiable interest. He might become uncomfortable with your questioning."
The hybrid turned back towards Phae, who was revealing herself from his backside. The wife looked up at the husband concerned, yet oddly annoyed.
"I'm sorry Phae, but I've never seen Namekians before! They seem so interesting!"
"Interested enough to ignore his own questions about you and I?"
"He can wait."
Phae gave him an annoyed stare, wrapping her arms around her husband's neck before promptly pecking him upon the lips, silencing him. Celmaru's face became plastered with a beet red hue, his embarrassment evident upon his facial features. He wasn't used to the contact, no matter how much time was spent with Phae. She retreated from her husband, removing her tiny lips from his.
"Now will you listen to our acquaintance, and cease your impossible interest for a mere moment?"
".....You didn't have to do that Phae..."
"I know you love it~"
"......"
"Ahem.....I apologize if I was a bit.....er..."
"Rude?"
"Quite..."
Celmaru had finally ceased his frantic greed for information, allowing time for the couple to answer Gnash's inquiries. Exhaling softly to regain his lost composure, and to be sure to collect his thoughts after Phae's bold contact, Celmaru looked back towards Gnash to answer. Those about Phae and Celmaru, specifically.
"Well, Phae isn't exactly an alien....she's a spiritual creature from...er..."
"A realm of light, yet darkness. A world filled with spirits of many animals, gods, supernatural powers, etcetera. I am a Fox deity that was given the occupation of overseeing and guarding the Waterfield family. I've only recently obtained a physical body, and I've been able to be with Celmaru because of it."
Phae affectionately began brushing up against her husband's forearm, her fleshy globes pressing against his muscle. A soft blush formed on Celmaru's face as he continued explaining themselves to Gnash, albeit his embarrassment returning.
"I, however, am considered an alien by many Humans. Despite that, I'm only half alien. My genetics are majorly made up of 50% Human genes, and 50% Saiyan genes. I....didn't exactly have the best life because of it, but I supposedly have great potential dwelling within these genetics."
"You do."
"...Er....Anyway, I've been able to overcome many feats due to my potential for power, but I never really found much to use it for besides for protecting this planet.....Then she came along."
Celmaru gestured to Phae, looking towards her with a subtle affection. Blinking suddenly, intent on swiftly changing the subject, the hybrid turned towards the Namekian once more.
"In any case, the other half of my biology, Saiyan....they're a warrior race. A prideful, power-hungry race that intends to rule the universe with an iron fist under their ruler and Queen; Lady Death. Their galactic empire, the Saiyan Solar Empire, controls a decent portion of the Northern galaxy. They even tried to drain an entire planet of its life energy to obtain more power for themselves....Along with that, my Father is a Saiyan, but despite being affected by Human culture for the better, he's still who he is. I had surpassed him several weeks ago, and he.....wasn't very...er...ecstatic about it."
"That's his fault for slacking...."
"He didn't slack off, he simply was preoccupied with certain issues on Vegeta."
"Anyway, the Saiyans can be ruthless, merciless, heartless, cruel, blinded by their pride, and selfish; but what do I know?....I'm one of them myself..."
"You're different than them, you're as much Human as you are Saiyan."
"But if I happen to turn Super Saiyan, then what would become of me?"
"I wouldn't know, we can see in time."
".....Yes...Ahem, anyway, that's the gist of who we are. Phae isn't technically an alien, but I am."
"I'll still love him, no matter what though~"
"...Thank you, Phae."
The couple emanated a soft vibe of mutual feelings towards each other, however Phae's feelings were still much stronger. A seed of doubt was still budding at the back of Celmaru's mind; egging at him, telling him that she still only loved the original Celmaru Waterfield, not him; the current one. That's what held him back, among other things. Facing Gnash once more, the hybrid husband briefly added a sentence that reminded both of them with odd memories.
"But to think....this relationship was forced upon me several weeks ago....I guess a lot has happened between then and now."
"You loved me from the start!"
Her tone had a hint of assumption behind it, tempting Celmaru to retort in response.
"You assume that; I wanted to get rid of you before."
"You didn't~"
"Try me, Phae."
"Oh, I will!"
Phae used her telepathy to give her husband a simple mental image; that originating from her..."fantasies". Upon being forcefully given this image, Celmaru's beet red blush returned, this time almost emitting steam from the hybrid's romantically innocent ears.
"Not in that regard!"
Phae simply laughed to herself in response, filled with glee from teasing her husband once again. A vein had appeared on Celmaru's left temple, his irritation visible to anyone. Some things never change between these two, at least not now. Their backstory was still hidden to Gnash, leaving him unaware of the struggles Celmaru faced as a child, or the pain Phae felt for nearly 2.5 centuries. All Gnash would have to do is ask, then they would tell him of their story, and how they met.

Gnash’s enhanced senses picked up on every question that the Hybrid threw his way, all the while making sure to keep a portion of his awareness on his body overall. He couldn’t allow the weights to take hold once again and force him back to the ground. This was apart of his training, and if he couldn’t withstand these measures and push his limit past this imaginary bar he had set for himself, than he could kiss being a Martial Artist goodbye. A successful one, anyways. Pushing himself beyond his limits was the primary goal, and this situation proved to hold the fruits of his labor. If he could keep his attention on the duo and respond accordingly to their questions, all the while keeping himself upright under the pressure of his enchanted clothing.
“Yes to all three of those.. I’m not sure about the distance between the planets. I have never been off of Earth, besides being born on Namek. Even then, I was too young to calculate how long it took to get from my home to Planet Earth…” Gnash had gotten completely lost within his own words, enough to not notice that the married couple was now squabbling once again, this time with the green woman actually defending Gnash instead of threatening him. She speculated that Gnash might actually be a little taken back by all of the questions that Celmaru had been throwing his way, which wasn’t entirely un-true. Overall, he didn’t mind answering Cel’s questions, so long as they weren’t specifically all about himself or his past.
Before the Namekian could interject and speak his own mind in order to let Phae know that Celmaru’s curious nature was welcome, she took her affection to the next level. With what Gnash presumed to be a desperate attempt to settle their little dispute, she smacked a firm smooch upon the Hybrid’s lips, securing her tiny arms around his vascular neck in the process. The act of love seemed to shock both Celmaru and Gnash as the green man nearly lost his footing to the weights once more. His yellow globes caught sight of Cel’s natural porcelain cheeks morph into a deep crimson color.
It certainly did the trick, as shortly after the two exchanged a brief conversation, Cel found himself apologizing to Gnash. Both of them zipped their lips for the time being, which Gnash took as a sign for him to properly answer his questions. He cleared his throat, closing his hands into fists to keep himself aware that the damned weights were in full effect. “There are different shades of Namekians, yes. Not all of them are of my hue.. I would assume that we are all, at the very least, a different shade of green. I’m not entirely positive, as the only other Namekians I have seen have been in books..” In the back of his mind, he prayed that he was right about this. He didn’t need another reason to stick out like a green thumb.. Literally.
“We can extend our bodies to various lengths. It is what gives some of us the ability to transform into the “Great Namek” form. From what I have read, there are three different Castes of Namekians; Warrior, Dragon, and Demon. Warrior Clan members can naturally achieve the Great Namek form. I’m assuming that’s what I am.. Seeing as I am able to perform the transformation. That, and my father has told me several times that I am apart of that Caste. I am hoping to one day meet members of other Castes, such as the Dragon and Demon clansmen. So far, I’ve had no such luck..”
Finishing up his little information dump, Gnash let out a sigh of relief. It felt nice to actually get these things off of his chest, not that they were weighing heavily on his mind or anything. But the feeling of getting to share the knowledge of his people to someone who was actually willing to listen. Hell, Celmaru’s face basically said it all. He asked for this, and he got it. Every single bit of information that Gnash thought to be relevant to their conversation, he just bestowed upon the hybrid. Hopefully the like-minded individual would be pleased with this, as he didn’t have much more information to give. Willingly, at least.
He brought his arms up to his chest, veins bulging against the surface of his green skin as signals of his strained effort to even move. Nevertheless, he was interested in finally getting an answer to the question he had vaguely asked earlier; What race the two actually were. Celmaru himself looked like a full-fledged human, so that wasn’t too difficult to pinpoint. The other one could’ve very well been an alien from some other planet. On the other hand, she could have been an inhabitant of Earth. There were tons of various species that now called the colourful globe their home, including walking and talking animals.
Celmaru was the first to answer, telling the Namek how she wasn’t exactly an alien. The immediate thought that popped into the back of his head was, “Then what the heck is she? Because she isn’t exactly a normal Human either…” Though, he decided against spewing that out for various reasons. She chimed in shortly after, giving Gnash some background on the plane in which she hailed from. The elegant tone she took on and the words she used reminded Gnash of the fictional fantasy books that the Humans would often write and publish for public entertainment. Next, it was Celmaru’s turn. His explanation shocked Gnash a tad bit more than Phae’s. He half-confirmed Gnash’s initial guess by stating that he was only fifty-percent human, the rest of his origin belonging to that of the Saiyans.
“How are you a Saiyan..? I-.. I don’t see a tail..” Gnash’s ignorance had slid between his lips as he tried his best to peer around towards Celmaru’s backside, half-expecting to see a furry brown rope lashing at the ground, or at least tucked into the waistband of his pants. There was nothing there. No little indent on his rump where the tail could be hiding, no scar mark, no brown fur peeking out from underneath his pant leg. He was clean.
He straightened his body back out, eyes rolling around in their sockets as he mentioned the Saiyan Solar Empire, and the Lady Death. He needed no explanation when it came to those monsters. Gnash knew all too well who they were. They had attacked Earth out of their own selfish desires in an attempt to conquer the luscious planet. “You’ve no need to explain who the Saiyan Solar Empire is. I know exactly who they are..” Gnash grounded his sharp, pearly whites together in a fit of frustration. They’d taken a lot of innocent lives during their invasion, and not a single one of them even cared. It was absolutely deplorable. “I apologize.. My mind seems run differently according to my mouth at times. It might be a bit obvious to tell that I am not their biggest fan.”
He. again felt like an awkward third wheel when the two whispered among themselves and spoke of their love towards one another. It was nice, though, that love like this could exist. Sure, they bickered with one another quite often, but it seemed like it was all in good nature. Gnash had noticed how Celmaru noted that he was forced into this marriage, yet he was enjoying their time spent together. It was a bittersweet moment. Sure he was excluded from whatever it was, thankfully.. But he was able to witness true happiness. He couldn’t help but allow a soft chuckle to grace his rather hardy appearance.
Unfortunately, he didn’t want to stand around like a green fence post all day and watch the two of them like a peeping-tom. He had his own questions and concerns. “You spoke of the S-S-E and Lady Death herself.. Why? Are they planning on attacking again? Or.. W-were you one of them?” He sure was hoping Celmaru had nothing to do with the villainous organization. He and Phae seemed like they were genuinely kind people, so finding out that they had a part in such a heinous group could be a major twist… A twist that could change their entire situation in the blink of an eye.

"My Saiyan side doesn't often show, Gnash." Celmaru responded, his tone suddenly steely, "I'm not often affected by my Pride, neither do I feel an urge to gain power daily. Either way, my tail was ripped off after a.....mistake....so I don't have it anymore, and I'm too old to grow it back."
"You refused to take injections for forced re-growths, as well."
"I never needed that thing anyway. I would've turned into a massive, primal beast if I looked at a full moon....I never want that to happen."
Scratching his head, Celmaru continued.
"Well, I hope we can agree on something about the SSE; they're monsters. They only accept the strongest of them all, and leave the weaker ones to die in the dirt. An organization that is purely set on gaining power and nothing more shouldn't exist in this universe."
"Celmaru's Father was in the SSE Army, but was severely wounded once he tried to leave and see his son and wife again. Toma "Mato" Waterfield was in the SSE earlier in his life, but Celmaru and I have no interaction, or affiliation with that faction."
Celmaru's face was still, and held little emotion within it. His eyes still burned with a bright, and intense fighting flame, but they seemed suppressed. Phae loosened her grip on her husband's forearm, but kept close to him. They both had memories of the past that they tried to forget, but intergalactic troubles such as the SSE gave them no room to forget, or leave anything behind. They had to move on with what they had, and run with the power they may gain.
'I wonder....'
'....Celmaru?'
'I wonder if he knows a way to train my Potential...and harness it...'
'What's with this sudden thought?'
'I'm going to have to find a way to make that power non-circumstantial. It would've benefited me greatly if I were able to do this sooner.'
'How so?'
'I could've been able to defeat those Zodiac monsters with relative ease, I could've destroyed that gigantic skeleton with the phylactery sooner, I would've been faster to fly away from you-'
'How rude!'
Celmaru looked down slightly to look at his wife, forcing himself not to smile. Phae had a discontent look upon her face, which to Gnash would've been somewhat odd without the context. Their mental conversation dying down swiftly, the couple turned back towards Gnash.
"So no, we have no affiliation with the SSE, nor is there another attack planned....as far as we know."
As Celmaru began to think of another subject to converse over, Phae redirected her telepathic link to Gnash, beginning to speak to the Namekian once more.
'...Would you happen to know about training one's Potential? If you do, please allow my husband to learn. It seems that he needs a little push to unlock it...'
Celmaru felt the link slip out of his mind and into another, which concerned him greatly. He can't tell what Phae would do if she doesn't need to speak anymore. Having a sneaking suspicion of Phae's antics, the hybrid spoke to Gnash before he would think that he's gone insane.
"Gnash, if Phae is speaking to you telepathically, please don't be alarmed.....and if its about me, don't believe it...."
"Its for your 'benefit', Celmaru~"
"What did you tell him?!"
"Nothing special..."
"Its not the time for your vague answers, Phae!"
The two bickered back and forth against each other, only to be interrupted by Gnash's potential response. Celmaru was too self-conscious about what Phae could say, and Phae herself was rather open to making her husband's problems known, mainly to tease him. The hybrid could only hope that his wife didn't tell Gnash anything embarrassing.

Gnash simply nodded his head in conjunction with Celmaru’s explanation, a task easy for him to do since it wasn’t hindered by any sort of weight. The look in his eyes and the tone in which he used to speak about his past, why he didn’t have a tail, sent the message to Gnash that it bothered it. It probably wasn’t a memory he particularly liked talking about in the first place. Everyone had their own demons to hide away within the confines of their own conscience, most of them praying that they’d never have to see the light of day again. Obviously it didn’t seem like Celmaru’s was that intense, but Gnash harbored some shadows as well. He understood.
Phae looked up at her husband and mentioned something about him not wanting to take injections for force re-growths. Just the word ‘re-growth’ send a disgusted shiver down the Namek’s spine, causing his body to wiggle through the air awkwardly. He didn’t even realize that there were medicines or supplements you could take to re-grow body parts. Obviously Gnash himself wouldn’t need them, seeing as he could regrow a limb within a couple minutes of concentrating energy due to his race. It definitely came in handy in situations where he got an arm or a leg sliced off.
Celmaru’s next comment caused Gnash to raise a hairless brow. He said that he didn’t even need the tail, stating that if he had still possessed it, staring at a full moon would cause him to morph into a giant, rampaging monkey-beast. If Gnash recalled right, he remembered hearing about those things appearing all over during the Saiyans invasion, stampeding through small towns and ripping cities to shreds. The correct term for them were “Oozaru”. The name had some type of meaning behind it, obviously. That of which Gnash knew not. According to his senses, which were usually right on the money, these things were a lot stronger than he is now. He’d heard a rumor about how Saiyan’s power levels reached the hundreds of thousands in the form.
Bringing his mind from massive ranging apes to the SSE in general, Gnash agreed with the Hybrid. “Very much so. Unfortunately, I was here on Earth during their invasion.. But I couldn’t do anything to help. I tried getting citizens out of cities.. Helping families. Even stopping some of the lower-leveled Saiyans. I couldn’t do a damned thing. I could barely even carry innocents out of the designated danger zones without almost dying.. It’s pitiful, I know. I’m sorry for just dropping this on you. As I’ve said, my mind wanders many different places, and my mouth seems to follow.”
Gnash rolled his shoulders around, lifting his feet off of the ground several times while the two in front of him exchanged looks. He had to continue breaking these weights in and adjust his body to them. He began to find that his make-shift training exercise, straining his body to stay upright while speaking with Celmaru and Phae, worked. The weights definitely didn’t feel any lighter, and his movements were still hindered greatly by the enhanced gravity, but he could move. It was a small step, sure, but a small step in the right direction.
While jostling his body around, Phae’s voice entered his head once more. He closed his eyes, shaking his cloaked cranium around in an attempt to toss whatever vile curse that had taken over his mind out. Much to Gnash’s dismay, it didn’t work. He couldn’t hear her talking, but he could still feel her presence within the back of his conscience. “This is extremely awkward.. Why do you keep coming in here?! I can’t even talk back! Did you lay a curse on me? Am I just going insane? Is this what it feels like to become stronger?!” He questioned himself, unaware of whether Phae could hear his thoughts or not. If she could, that’d make this situation even worse.
“Yes, yes! I can help him, okay? Gah..” The Namek hung his head low, chin pressed against his chest. “Meditation might help. Spiritual training is also an effective way to unlock potential. Whether or not you’re capable of doing these things, I don’t know. If you don’t have a lot of focus and concentration, then you aren’t going to be able to achieve results. I can’t guarantee anything, though. I just know it worked for me in helping to maintain my Great Namek form and keep myself at a relatively reasonable size while maximising my power output. I’m only assuming that unlocking your potential would work in a very similar way. I’ve read that that’s how most Namekians strengthen themselves. Meditation, spiritual journeys. I personally believe that they are necessary, should you want to push yourself past your own limits…”

Celmaru folded his arms as Gnash spoke, unsure if meditation and a "spiritual journey" would help him. Phae simply stepped away from her husband to give him space.
"Please, feel free to begin."
"I'm not sure if this will work Phae..."
"Try it then."
"....."
The hybrid sat down in the grass, folding his legs as he did his arms. Closing his eyes, he focused his energy, and began to empty his mind. A long pause occurred, the wind softly blowing away above them. Not one sound escaped the hybrid as he left himself to his empty mind, and patiently waited for an epiphany. Celmaru's heartbeat became more noticeable as he meditated, swiftly beating blood through his body. His breathing began to slow down, and his mind became completely clear of any thought.
"..........."
The hybrid softly meditated, keeping the sounds of nature away from his usually overactive mind. He attempted to look deep within himself, but found nothing but his doubts and fears. A brief sense of disappointment filled Celmaru's mind, until suddenly a voice spoke up in his mind. Surprisingly, it wasn't Phae's, or the voice of Gnash. The voice seemed rather familiar and similar to Celmaru's.
"Looking for someone?"
".....!"
"Get in here."
Celmaru nearly jumped in place before his consciousness was brought to another realm. A warped sensation permeated throughout the hybrid's body, forcefully nauseating him. Celmaru's body was brought into the alternate realm, and it seemed as if he was physically brought there. Looking down at his body, and patting it down to find any possibly missing limbs, the hybrid sighed in relief to see that nothing was left out. The same voice rang out, chuckling softly to itself before speaking once more.
"Heh heh.....You really do look like me."
"Wha-!?"
Celmaru looked up immediately, and was shocked to see who was speaking to him. His ancestor, Celmaru Regalia Waterfield, stood before him, forming a wide smirk looking at his initial shock.
"Hah! So those descendants of mine were right!....Still though, how can one look so much like another?"
"You're....you're-"
"Celmaru Waterfield, yes, yes. My name is the same as yours, so why bother asking?"
The older Celmaru was dressed in traditional military garb, adorned in medals and gems of all kinds. No scar was visible on his face, but his appearance looked almost identical regardless. Despite the fact that he looks much happier than the current Celmaru, the other Human-Saiyan hybrid was nearly a copy of the other.
"How is this possible?"
"Well, I had a favor from an Otherworld official to check in, so I decided to check up on my youngest descendant; and boy, are you a sight for sore eyes!"
"....What do you want?"
"My, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed! Well, I heard that you're having some 'Potential problems' !(...Heh) I'd like to help you with that!"
"I appreciate the gesture, but I can figure this out on my own."
The current Celmaru folded his arms defiantly, turning to look away from his elder. The elder Celmaru sighed, knowing that this wouldn't be so easy.
"Look, I realize that you've had a bit of a shit childhood. But come on!....You have Phae with you, that elder Ayumu has your back, even a Bio-Android is with you....teaching you even! Why do you have to rude towards your own ancestor?"
".....I keep being compared to you."
"Excuse me?"
"Phae had initially compared me to you, and probably only loves me because of that."
".....I know who she really is, you know."
"Really, so who is she?"
"The woman that went after me when I was alive, the guardian spirit for the family I founded, and a very perverted fox deity indeed! Haha!"
"....You've seen her?"
"Multiple times, actually. In dreams, drugged hallucinations-"
"What?!"
".....After fighting a really intense battle....all sorts of things related to that, really."
".....She still loves you, doesn't she?"
"HA! Kid, that was a simple crush of her's....I know that much. Of course, I realized that after I died....but I know that she's got her sights set on you, and you only!"
".....I can only wonder."
The elder Celmaru stepped towards the his current counterpart, staring straight at him. His body still looked young, despite being merely deceased for nearly 2 centuries. Suddenly the hybrid's shoulders were grasped, and the elder Celmaru spoke to him as he stared dead in the eyes of the younger Celmaru.
"Stop doubting yourself! You have a beautiful wife that's willing to do anything for you! I had to prove myself in hundreds of bloody battles and war, while you just get to be a flustered child! If you want something to change, then fucking do something about it dammit!"
"....You're the one that changed the tides of war, seen by everyone as a benevolent person, almost a Saint, even remembered for nearly ten generations of this family; what do I have to prove to anyone? I'm a Saiyan-Human hybrid that gets to be repeatedly beaten, verbally or not, by the Humans I'm constantly surrounded by. My childhood was ruined when I made a simple mistake I never knew that I could commit at the time, and I'll never be able to escape and defend this planet at the same time. And constantly....oh so very constantly, I will be proven that I'm too weak to protect anybody, not even Phae, my Mother, anyone. I tried....really, I did. Never once, was I accepted by anyone but the people that were like me; Ki-Sensitive fighters that merely litter themselves throughout the Earth, and this universe."
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT!? There are hundreds of people like that! You don't need to be accepted by everybody, nor anyone different than you! YOU'RE WHINING OVER NOTHING!"
"...You try being 50% Saiyan."
"I'm still a Hybrid too, you know!"
"You're only 6.25% Saiyan; you're still mostly Human."
"Wha-!? How did you-"
"Phae told me....after she compared me to you."
"For the love of Kami in the Lookout; why do you insist on making your life sound terrible!?"
"THE SAIYANS ARE A CONSTANT THREAT TO THE EARTH! If Humans see one, even if they mind their own business, they almost feel obligated to insult them in some way! That includes halfbreeds!"
Meanwhile, outside Celmaru's mind, Phae was watching over her husband. Her mental link with him was still in place, and fragments of their conversation leaked out into her mind like a broken message. A genuine look of concern washed over her face as she turned to Gnash to inform him of what's happening.
"He's become this troubled after all this time. He's arguing with his ancestor; Celmaru Regalia Waterfield. Somehow he must have tapped into Celmaru's unconsciousness, and pulled him into a realm disconnected to ours. I doubt this could be considered a 'Spiritual Journey' anymore, Gnash."
Whether Gnash responded or not, Phae would turn back towards her husband, her look of concern obvious upon her facial expression. Within Celmaru's mind, their argument had morphed into something else; a fight.
"Kid, you're making a mistake; I may be dead, but I haven't slacked in my training, like the others have."
"If I can scratch you once, then will you leave me be for a while?"
"No guarantees, bud! My power has surpassed yours by miles, so you're welcome to try!"
Celmaru lashed out at his ancestor, immediately throwing a basic punch. The elder Celmaru vanish into thin air, suddenly appearing a few feet ahead of the younger hybrid. His arms were folded, and another smirk stretched across his face. The elder Celmaru didn't look very strained, nor very focused; he simply looked like he was enjoying himself.
"C'mon now, did your Mother teach you to fight like that? I swore that the firstborns teach their children to fight better than this!"
"I was taught to respect my elders, but I see nothing to respect here!"
"Oh, the slander! The tongue on this one is staggering!"
"Rrrraaagh!"
Celmaru dashed towards his elder, his rage getting to him more easily than he would've hoped. The younger hybrid's power increased fourfold, forcing the elder Celmaru to react with more of his power. Clasping his palm around the other hybrid's fist, the ancestor swung his arm around, bringing the other Celmaru towards him.
"Here, take this. I'm done with you for now....you're just too inexperienced. I can fight you again though, just not now!"
The elder Celmaru brought his opposite hand to the younger Celmaru's forehead, the elder's energy invading his mind. Celmaru couldn't escape, and was forced to take the foreign energy. Outside the alternate realm in Celmaru's mind, his physical body began to react. The hybrid's brows were furrowed, and his face was contorting with anger. Phae was in the middle of an simple explanation of what was happening inside his mind before her husband's aura exploded.
"-it doesn't seem to be much of a fight currently....I believe that the original Celmaru may be overpowering - KYAH!"
Celmaru's aura was fading in and out of its current blue and a pearly white, and the grass beneath him was being forced away and back in ripples. The bamboo shoots were shaking in place, and the wind began to pick up; a great power was accumulating. The alternate Celmaru began to fade along with the bright white realm as the current Celmaru was brought back to reality. His eyes shot open, his body moving on its own. The hybrid jumped up, standing after landing. His power was escalating rapidly, and his aura was completely white. The ground began to shake, and loose pebbles were beginning to float above the ground they rested upon. Celmaru's arms were at his sides, bent at the elbow, as his energy exponentially rose.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"
His screams echoed throughout the Bamboo Forest, with Phae shaking at the sight of his sudden actions. She was caught off-guard, and the seaweed woman wasn't going to recover until Celmaru stabilized his power. Celmaru was rising in power in chunks, leaping in several bounds by the second; 100,000.....140,000......200,000....252,836.
"HRRRRAAAGHHH!"
Celmaru was surrounded by a flash of bright light, his aura finally slowing down to envelope him as it usually did. As the light faded, Celmaru's Potential was suddenly trained; and his power was vastly greater than before. His weights were lighter than a feather now, and he was able to fight one of the strongest warriors on Earth alone (if they stayed in their base form). Looking down at his hands, clenching them and loosening them, shocked at the newfound power, Celmaru was softly enveloped in a bright white aura. Nothing about his appearance changed, yet his power was enhanced dramatically. Facing his head towards Phae, he formed a small smirk on his lips.
"Hey Phae, what do you think?"
"It seems that we'll have a much easier time now fighting our future opponents."
"I'm glad to hear it.....You didn't...er...do anything weird when I was meditating, did you?"
"Of course not, Celmaru."
"Well, I must say, your recommendation turned out to be beneficial Gnash....I humbly thank you."
Celmaru quietly bowed to Gnash in thanks, turning towards him before doing so. His recent smirk was still firmly formed on his facial expression, his happiness obvious to anyone. The abnormal actions of the environment that Celmaru caused due to his power surge faded swiftly, mostly returning to normal soon after stabilizing his new "transformation". The hybrid's aura still lashed out at the air around him, licking at the atmosphere like it usually did. Phae soon interrogated Celmaru about what happened in his mind, making her husband uncomfortable.
"I...er...sort of met someone....that looked like me..."
"I know it was Celmaru, but what happened!?"
"We spoke a little while, and we ended up fighting....I lost outright....I couldn't scratch him, and ended up boring him..."
"He trained for nearly forty years before he retired and focused more on his family. I can only assume he trained for another two centuries in the Otherworld."
"Supposedly he did. It goes to show that I still have a long way to go...."
His mood suddenly suffered from their brief conversation, and he left out many details of their conversation. Clemaru could only hope that she wouldn't ask any more than that. Turning back towards Gnash, Celmaru walked up to the Namekian, holding out his hand.
"I once again thank you. But it seems unfair that you helped me, and if I were to do nothing in return. For about we do something for you, sir?"
The hybrid's face was still rather content, yet somewhat serious. He really didn't want Gnash to left out of attaining something new, and he'd feel bad if he didn't do anything in return; he had enough debts with Ayumu to return.
(Hidden Potential has been trained! Hidden Potential is now Trained Potential!) (Transformed w/ Trained Potential: PL is now 252,836)

Post by Gnash on Mar 3, 2016 3:22:21 GMT
Gnash simply nodded his head towards the two of them, yellow hues following the Hybrid’s body down to the ground. He crossed his legs underneath his rump, allowing his arms to fold along the length of his chest at the same time. Gnash was glad to see that Celmaru hadn’t taken on the stereotypical position in which to meditate. Most people crossed their legs and rest their elbows on the edge of their knees, clasping their fingertips together and humming. How ignorant those people could be. The very word ignorance flashed across Gnash’s mind every single time he saw someone take on this form, because it wasn’t correct. It wasn’t right in the slightest.
Once again, Gnash spread his feet shoulder length apart, squaring his hips up with his shoulders. He brought his arms down to his sides, bending them at the elbows. Beads of sweat had begun to form along his green skin, dripping down his smooth cranium in an attempt to escape his body. He figured since Celmaru would be focusing on developing his mind and embarking on a miniature “Spiritual Journey”, he’d continue his training. If the Hybrid were to have any luck at all in succeeding, the two greenies would be there for at least forty-five minutes to an hour. It was best not to waste any time himself.
Trying to keep himself as quiet as possible, Gnash jabbed his right fist out, twisting his forearm in mid-air so that his thumb leveled with the ground. At the same time, he maneuvered his left fist to be level with his left hip, turning his hand so that his thumb pointed up towards the sky. With difficulty, he reversed their positions, only this time keeping his mouth. He quickly exhaled short yet intense bursts of air from his nostrils, closing his eyes as he set himself into a deep concentration. He wasn’t going to be able to burrow himself deep into the usual meditations, but he could at least “visit” his other half while further getting accustomed to the weights that burdened his hulking frame.
Within a minute or so, Gnash found himself in the vast expanse of his conscience. To him, it seemed like he stood in an endless realm of pure gray. On the opposite side of this “chamber” sat a different version Gnash himself, only a much darker and more demonic version of the Namek. He wore the exact same clothes as Gnash, only washed over with a purple-ish black hue. His eyes were crimson, sticking out like sore thumbs against his green skin. He sat on his bum, one knee propped up in the air with one of his arms resting upon it. Gnash’s original cloak was black on this individual, rather than white. He raised his head, lips curling into a gnarly and twisted grin; “Hey Gnash! How the hell are ya?!”
“Hello Hsang.”
Hsang’s expressions fell from a jolly and lively smile to a mopey frown, hairless eyebrows furrowing in the process. He immediately shot up into the air, landing back down on seemingly nothing. He threw his arms into the air, eyes narrowed onto his “Good” half.
“Seriously? You haven’t visited me for months, and that’s all I get?! ‘Hey Hsang’. What the fuck is that?” Hsang retorted in an annoyed tone as he took several steps towards Gnash, who remained ever vigilant throughout the entire ordeal. He brought his arms up, crossing them along his chest with ease. Not being hindered by the weights in this instance was refreshing.
“I see you got yourself some friends! A Human-Saiyan Hybrid.. And a damned piece of kelp. You’re really moving up in life, aren’t ya’ Gnash?”
“Shut up.”
“The fuck are you doing? Wasting your time with people like this. And I thought I taught you better than that…”
“You taught me not to listen to you.”
Hsang let a sigh escape his devilish lips, his hands slithering down to slide into the pockets that just so happened to magically appear on the sides of his pants. He was like a god in this realm, able to say and do anything he pleased. If he wanted a mansion, all he’d have to do is snap his fingers. If he wanted a hundred-mile wide pile of cheeseburgers, it was only a click away.
“You’re still stubborn as fuck. Y’know, one day you’re gonna HAVE to listen to me. One fuckin’ day, you aren’t gonna have anyone left BUT me. I’ll be the only one left.. It’ll be just you and me pal, like old times!”
“I’ve made it this far because of other people, Hsang. By blocking you out, I’ve been able to make some pretty damn good friends.”
“What, like these two? You really think these two are your friends?”
“They’re nice enough people.”
“Gnash.. He’s a fuckin’ Saiyan for crying out loud! Scratch the human part, and he’s still half monkey! You’ve seen how these pieces of shit act. They destroyed cities.. Took millions of innocent lives. Some of ‘em being your friends. And you still say “They’re nice enough people”. He could turn on you at any given moment.. Gnash, you have the perfect opportunity sitting right in front of you. He isn’t payin’ any damn attention. You could kill him, right now! Screw that seaweed bitch. You can take him out right now!”
Gnash closed his eyes as Phae’s voice poked at the back of his mind. He was going to have to cut this meeting short, whether Hsang liked it or not.
“That is why you will never win, Hsang. You don’t have any compassion. You’re selfish.”
Gnash’s body began fading away as he parted ways with his other half. Hsang reclaimed his position on the far side of the room, sitting down in almost the exact same position as before. His solid red hues fastened themselves to Gnash’s, that sinister grin creeping up on the corners of his mouth once more. He brought the tip of his thumb to his lips, using his canines to bite a soft piece of skin from the calloused flesh.
“Madness is a lot like gravity, Gnash… All it takes is a little push.. Hehwhyehehyehh!”
Back in reality, Gnash opened his eyes and straightened his body out once more. He could see Celmaru’s eyebrows twitching in accordance to whatever had been going on up in his mind. Phae commented on Celmaru had come into contact with one of his ancestors, and they were now arguing within his own conscience. She stated that Celmaru was pulled into a realm completely severed from theirs, and that he was no longer on any “Spiritual Journey.” He squinted his eyes towards the Hybrid. He projected his voice in a much calmer and deeper tone, giving way to the fact that he had experienced something himself during his short time “Away” from reality. “Celmaru will be ok. As long as he keeps his focus and does not waver.. He will come out of this with results to show.”
Gnash stood and waited for Celmaru’s spiritual sessions to end, all the while listening to Phae’s explanations. He would’ve continued training himself, but even the smallest amount of time with Hsang annoyed him beyond belief. Should anything go wrong, he needed to keep HIS focus on the here and the now. A grin perked Gnash’s lips skyward when he heard the seaweed girl tell him that Celmaru himself was winning this mental battle. “Like I said, if he remains focused, he can pull off a victory. Should he fail, at least the two of us are here to hel- Gnnnghh!”
Like a damned nuke, Celmaru’s previously calm and ambient aura exploded. The sheer force behind this sudden burst of energy caused the ground to shake and even crack, throwing the Bamboo Forest into an event similar to that of an earthquake. Instinctively, Gnash was able to bring his arm up to shield his eyes from the whirling debris. The air pressure released from this transformation caused even Gnash himself, who was weighed down heavily by his training weights, to be forced back into the forest. It didn’t have the force of a hurricane, but it was damn near close. For the most part, his weights kept him on his feet, albeit aided by him grabbing onto as many shoots as he could along his small trip backwards.
Once his aura, and the small clearing in general had died down, Gnash made his way back towards the duo with a firm march. Nothing too ground-breaking had changed about the hybrid except his power level, which skyrocketed to completely overwhelming heights. It was like he had been transformed into a brand new being. Celmaru accomplished what he had set out to do with a bit of Gnash’s guidance. The Namek couldn’t help but allow a small blanket of pride and joy coat his normally stoic nature.
He sat back in awe as the married couple chattered among themselves about what transpired inside of Celmaru’s mind. “Congratulations.. This is incredible. I haven’t felt a power this strong since the invasion.” Gnash eagerly shook Cel’s hand, his eyes gazing at the aura that engulfed Celmaru’s body. “Oh, no. Don’t worry about repaying me. Just being able to witness this transformation.. That’s enough. It gives me a goal to strive for; Become stronger.”

"Surely there must be a way to repay you, Gnash. I insist." Celmaru replied, intent on paying his debt, "You helped me achieve this, so there must be something I can do."
Celmaru grasped the Namekian's hand firmly, finishing the handshake. Stepping back from Gnash to give each other room, the hybrid pondered on what he could do. Guiding his hand to his chin, he stood there, thinking.
"....Those weights of your seems rather heavy, would it be possible for me to give you ideas on how to deal with them without falling repeatedly? Or maybe information about Saiyans, or the SSE? I could also try to spar with you....holding back of course."
Gnash is able to interject between each suggestion, but either way Celmaru would continue.
"Ah, maybe I could show you a technique or two?...Would that work?"
"Celmaru, please allow him to choose."
"I know, I know. It just doesn't feel right to just achieve something like this and just...give nothing back in return."
Phae elegantly floated over towards her husband, wrapping her arms around his neck like before. Feeling a little mischievous, the seaweed woman nestled up against Celmaru's neck, softly whispering into his ear. The hybrid felt more powerful, but he couldn't defend himself against Phae's kind of offensive.
"Someone feels rather strong right now. It feels comforting..."
"Phae, please don't do this now."
"What? Is it wrong for me to not like what I see? Appreciate what I feel?"
Celmaru could've sworn that he heard laughter in the distance, but his thoughts and judgement were clouded by his embarrassment. Despite his new transformation, he was still vulnerable to Phae's words. A prominent shade of pink permeated throughout Celmaru's ears, and spread towards his face at a swift pace. A small shiver went down his spine, mostly from his embarrassed feelings. Attempting to change the subject to avoid an awkward moment, Celmaru continued.
"If I can't do anything now, please let me know if you need me to do anything. I'll be happy to do you a favor, Gnash."
"You can do something for me~"
"I told you now isn't the time, Phae."
Another mental image flashed through the hybrid's mind; displaying in full mental view what Phae wanted from her husband. She slowly traced her finger around his pectoral muscles, his skin tingling from the minor contact. A beet red hue spread all around Celmaru's body, his embarrassment reaching its peak. Celmaru had ascended to what Ayumu likes to call; the "Red Super Saiyan", the ultimate form of embarrassment.
"What the- PHAE!"
The seaweed woman giggled softly to herself as her husband became extremely flustered. Suddenly, Phae began to fall through her husband, falling right through his frame as if it were nothing but thin air. Shortly after Phae caught herself in midair, Celmaru reappeared a few feet away as the afterimage faded. Phae puffed out her cheeks in minor irritation, exclaiming a few choice words to her husband.
"How rude! What was that for!?"
"No more rides for today, Phae."
"I didn't threaten Gnash!"
".....My embarrassment reached its peak, Phae. I can only handle so much of your antics every day."
The hybrid's face slowly began to return to its normal shade as Phae whined about being denied of her normal rests on her husband's back. Celmaru looked away from her as he tried to keep a decent conversation with Gnash. His efforts were in vain, however, as Phae tried her earnest efforts of keeping her within his view. The hybrid vanished once more, his afterimage throwing off his wife for only mere moments. Clemaru reappeared before Gnash, several feet away from Phae.
"I hope we can figure out something soon, or else we'll have a bigger problem on our hands..."

Celmaru’s handshake had been unyielding, given his new and impressive power up. Had it not been for the fact that Gnash himself didn’t possess any bones whatsoever, he had half a mind to suspect that they would have broken after this handshake. His golden eyes were still transfixed on Celmaru’s glowing figure, more so trying to pinpoint his exact power level. While it was difficult to calculate an exact number, he knew for sure that it surpassed two-hundred thousand easily. Two-hundred thousand was about the same level that most of the giant Saiyan monkey monsters were at during the invasion. It was absolutely remarkable.
Retracting their hands, the Hybrid remarked how heavy Gnash’s weights looked. “If only he knew..” He then began to fire off an assortment of payments he’d be willing to offer Gnash in return for assisting him in achieving his newfound power-up. The first offer had been tips or tricks on new training methods in which to utilize for his heavy weights, or at least some that would allow him to move much more freely without falling over every five minutes. The second offer was a tad more intriguing, yet not as important as the first; More information on the SSE, or the Saiyan Solar Empire. While the natural curiosity that followed any sentient being lurked in the back of Gnash’s mind, he didn’t exactly think he wanted to know more about their heinous crimes. Possibly on what their current motives were, if he even knew? The third offer was by far the most far-fetched; A spar. Celmaru had extended a spar to him, with the hybrid powering himself down of course. Even suppressed, Gnash wasn’t confident enough in himself to be able to pose any sort of challenge in a spar.
“They’re all extremely generous offers, Celmaru. I think your first was the best.. It’s a little embarrassing, falling on my bum every five minutes. These weights aren’t anything to scoff at.. I paid a lot of money for them. Almost too much.” Even after Gnash’s decision, Celmaru laid one last offer on the table. He would teach Gnash a technique or two, presumably a couple from his own personal arsenal. Gnash simply shook his head no. He didn’t feel as if he was at a decent enough level of power in order to actually perform any sort of technique, let alone from someone as strong as Celmaru. He could barely control the only offensive technique he possessed, the Apex Rifle as is.
He held his balm, green head high, smiling at a particular thought that crossed his mind. Hsang was absolutely wrong about Celmaru and Phae. Celmaru was unlike any other Saiyan he’d met to date, and Phae.. Well, she was the first of her kind to meet Gnash, so he couldn’t have had any judgements beforehand. Until this day, Gnash thought that all Saiyans were just savages beasts waiting for an opportunity to kill anything that stood in their way. Cel had proven that some weren’t. Just like there are decent Humans, and wicked humans. Decent Namekians and wicked ones. The same could be said for Saiyans as well. Had he listened to Hsang and took the chance to strike Celmaru while he was “down”, he might’ve ended up regretting it. He let in to Hsang once before, and that resulted in the biggest failure of his life. He wouldn’t make the same mistake again.
“Just a tip or two on how I can efficiently train with these,” His eyes traveled down the length of his own body, “Would do. It’s probably pretty obvious that I’ve never used anything of the sort before, at least not properly..”

"Alright, if its learning to use weights efficiently, then that's fine." Celmaru exclaimed, happy to repay his debt to Gnash, "Its honestly rather simple-"
"It would be simpler for you to stay still!"
"Phae, I told you that you get no more rides today!"
Phae shot towards her husband, desperate for contact. Celmaru swiftly dashed to the left, avoiding her lunge. The seaweed woman nearly slammed her face into a nearby bamboo shoot, but fortunately was able to regain her balance and gain lift before she could do so. Spinning around to face upwards, she found her husband to be within the open air. Folding his arms, Celmaru spoke to Gnash as he continued to dodge Phae's advances.
"Weights are rather simple! You can simply wear them constantly, and eventually get used to them! Or, you can adjust them accordingly, such as moving them to balance each other out so you won't fall!"
"Get back here, Celmaru!"
"No thanks!"
Attempting to ignore Phae, the hybrid continued.
"Training will be beneficial to you as well! The stronger you grow, the more likely you are to sustain balance with those weights! So please, continue training with all your might!"
Celmaru continued to easily dodge Phae's advancements, even pushing her away gently with his finger. The two twirled around each other in midair, this brief scuffle being completely one-sided. Phae desperately wanted to be around her husband once more, but he finally had an astronomical amount of power compared to her's. A lonely feeling began to build up within Phae, and she began to slow down. The hybrid husband noticed this immediately, and slowly descended towards the earth as she followed close behind. Celmaru quirked an eyebrow towards her, unsure of what she was doing.
"Hic..."
"Oh no....Gnash, please excuse me."
Celmaru pushed off against the ground, a look of angst flatly formed across his face. Flying past Phae, picking her up in the process, the couple escaped to the nearby clusters of bamboo. Descending once more to the ground, Celmaru dropped his wife, making sure she'd stand, and gently clasped her shoulders. She fidgeted as she softly spoke, her voice quivering. A small amount of moisture was welling up in her eyes.
"....D-Did I do something wrong?"
"You didn't, but becoming upset still concerns me...that's the only thing I consider wrong."
"W-Why were you denying my love?"
"I wasn't....I simply denied you of any rides on my back for today."
"You were p-pushing me away..."
"It was a teasing gesture."
Phae began to shake even more in her place, desperately trying to not show any more weakness. Celmaru felt sick looking at her like this, it felt terrible. The wife's attempts to hide her pain was nearly in vain, however Celmaru brought her close to him, embracing her tightly. Phae's arms hung limply at her sides, surprised by his sudden action.
"Don't cry. Please, don't...I'm sorry for saddening you to such an extent."
"......"
A few moments passed, time sprinting forwards like always, as they embraced. The two heartbeats still ran out of sync with each other, one of them still unsure where to put their trust completely. Breaking the silence, the hybrid spoke.
"Let me carry you back, alright?"
"....Okay."
Celmaru swooped down, picking up his wife with a tender touch. Carrying her like royalty, the two returned and entered the clearing. Placing her down in the grass ground below, he stood upright whilst turning to Gnash. The hybrid's aura had calmed down by now; his potential hidden away once more for the time being. Phae was calmly sitting in the grass, hiding her face from Gnash. She leaned towards Celmaru for potential comfort, and was only partially ignored. Celmaru shifted closer towards her compliantly, allowing her to nestle up against his clothed calf. Guiding his brown eyes to the Namekian, the hybrid briefly apologized.
"I apologize for that....Phae isn't feeling that well right now, please forgive us for the inconvenience-"
Celmaru stopped for a mere second, pausing as he felt another energy source within Gnash. The Ki was the complete opposite of Gnash's energy; rude, violent, and generally demonic. Blinking to dismiss the energy, Celmaru continued.
"Er...I do hope that this doesn't prevent us from speaking, or anything....."
The hybrid scratched his head awkwardly as his mind began to wander.
'What was that odd energy?....Questions for later, I guess...'

“Oh, oh. One moment please!” Gnash held up a one of the three beefy-green fingers that made up one hand, the digit that everyone could assume to be his index. He reached around to his backside, handing rummaging around near his bum. From the front, or possibly even back due to his long cloak, it might have looked as if the Namek was giving his booty a good scratch, though this was not the case. “Mmmm.. It is in here somewhere.. Ahah! Here, please continue.” Grasped between both of his hands was a small blue notebook with a pencil attached to a thin black string which then connected to the binding of the object itself. He flipped the book open, resting it upon his forearm as he took the writing utensil in his free hand. He began writing down all of the things that Celmaru explained to him, making sure not to miss a single word.
If Celmaru examined it a bit closer, he’d be able to notice that there was a white piece of tape stuck onto the front of the book, and written upon that tape was the word ‘Notes’. This was a small booklet that made up nearly an entire bookshelf of other similar notebooks, all of them filled with copious amounts of information in which he had acquired over the years. Most of them were about Namekian heritage and the various cultures that used to exist on his home planet; Namek. Some others, like the one he carried now, held the knowledge and tips he had acquired from the many different types of people he’s met while on Earth.
The sun had begun to dip below the horizon, blanketing Bamboo Forest in an even darker hue. The forest canopy had only helped in making this a much darker environment. With night usually came much lower temperatures. A steady yet brittle breeze rolled across the landscape, rustling the shoots to their core and providing what Gnash would consider the soothing sounds of nature. The cold didn’t particularly bother him all that much, seeing as he not only been trained under some questionable weather conditions while studying under the Razorback Hermit school, but his Namekian genes provided him with a natural resistance. Of course, like any normal being, Gnash had his limits on how low or high of a temperature his body would withstand.
Closing his book, the sight of the married couple finally together once again brought one last grin to his lips. The two were quite the duo. They’d been able to give Gnash his fair share of enjoyment for the day. From Phae’s overprotectiveness of her beloved husband, to Celmaru’s unyielding tomato faces as his wife tried coddling him. They definitely etched themselves into Gnash’s mind and became two remarkable friends that he would not soon forget. It was quite amusing to watch how Phae so easily manipulated Cel into carrying her, ultimately bringing her wishes and desires to fruition.
Gnash took several steps towards the two, reaching his arm out to pat the hybrid on his shoulder as a makeshift handshake, seeing as both of his arms were occupied at the moment. He held his grin for a lot longer than expected as his arm sunk back to his side like a rock in a river. The two of them had provided Gnash with more than he could have ever asked for. Not only did Cel manage to hit him with some pro tips and tricks on achieving more success with his weight training, but he was able to change Gnash’s opinion, somewhat, on Saiyans in general. He gave Gnash the chance to speak of his own race, and even gave the Namek some useful information on the SSE. In turn, he was able to help Celmaru achieve a brand new form in which he could use to defend Planet Earth. It didn’t seem like an even trade-off, but he’d take it for now.
Surely this wouldn’t be their last meeting, so he had more chances to make it up with them. “Night is falling, so I must go. I have actually had a pretty amazing time with the both of you today. I realize my meditation methods weren’t exactly up to par with what you have given me today, but I hope that they come in handy in the future. One day, when I am stronger, I will take you up on your spar, Celmaru. I’m not foolish enough to think I’d last even the slightest chance now.. But one day. I promise. Good luck, to both of you,” Instead of talking directly to Celmaru, he projected his voice towards both of them. “We will meet again one day, I know it!”
With his parting words finally spewed forth, Gnash allowed a cloak of blazing white energy to engulf his body. He pushed off of the ground, floating up into the air and through the forest canopy. The weights had slowed his ascendence down by a considerable amount for sure, but the training he received today had certainly improved his tolerance. He gazed down at the spot in which he once stood, gliding an open palm across the air in a friendly wave. And with that, Gnash took flight, soaring towards his next destination with the intent on putting Celmaru’s tips to good use.
While in mid-flight, a sharp jab poked at the back of his mind. He heard a loud and menacing cackle ring his eardrums, emerald cranium now beginning to throb. “Ya’ really let yourself go, Gnash.. I’m disappointed! I really thought I had ya’ back there… You know, before you fuckin’ ditched me! God damned asshole.. Sooner or later, you’ll have to fall. And you know what? I’ll make damn sure all of your “Friends” are around to see it.. We’ll be together as one again, Gnash. Remember that? We had so much fun! Oh well. I realize that you’re a tough nut to crack, Gnashy-boy. I like challenges. Make sure you come visit me more often! We don’t get chances like this often-!”
Hsang’s voice was cut off as Gnash mentally severed the connection once again. He furrowed his brows, keeping his eyes set straight ahead of himself. He had to train. He had to become strong enough to overcome this monster. Celmaru had no idea how crucial his help was today...

Celmaru formed another smirk on his face, becoming excited for a day that might never come for a long while. Relaxing his body, he guiding his left hand to his forehead, clenching his fingers together, excluding his index and middle digits. Pausing for a moment, the hybrid guided his right hand to land upon his hip bone, resting his other hand on his side. Thrusting his left arm forward, Celmaru gave the Namekian Gnash a two-fingered salute.
"I'll be looking forward to it Gnash! But I must warn you that I'm keeping you to that now!"
Lowering his digits to his side, Celmaru and Phae were left in the waning sunlight; alone once more. The orange light poked through the bamboo shoots, allowing a minimal amount of light to enter the forest. The hybrid felt happier than usual, and that thought never crossed his mind as his initial excitement over a potential spar faded. Turning away from Gnash, their meeting coming to a swift close, Celmaru crouched down to be beside Phae. She still had an uncomfortable look on her face, which was still somewhat hidden.
".....You never acted like this when I was still anxious around you."
"I-I wasn't s-sure if I was getting your attention..."
"You don't always have to acquire my attention for me to acknowledge you, Phae."
"I know...b-but....I-"
Celmaru was behind his wife, sitting among the grass like she was. Leaning against her back, he continued.
"You can rest upon my back as long as you'd like, you're allowed to be as affectionate as you want to be, but you're not allowed to become depressed over a teasing gesture....that just proves you're all bark and no bite, Phae."
"......"
"You'll be with me regardless, unless you were spouting lies all this time-"
"Of course not!"
"Heh....there we go..."
"Why would you assume that?!"
Celmaru was using all of his willpower to suppress his laughter, but couldn't bring himself to reply without doing so.
"That put you right back to normal....didn't it?"
As the hybrid spoke, his words were spaced out with a forced suppression of laughter. He was enjoying this thoroughly, finally able to tease his wife once more.
"That's not the point, tell me why you would assume that of me!"
"Never!"
Phae jumped around, thwacking her husband's back with his feminine hands. The impacts of her hands were barely noticeable, and Celmaru was about to burst out in his rare laughter. Finally, his willpower just couldn't contain his enjoyment. Celmaru burst out in laughter, the sound almost unrecognizable to Phae; the person who oversaw his life for the entirety of it until now.
"Bwahahahahaahahahaaa!"
"...Ah!"
"Hah.....hahahh....What is it, Phae?"
"....I've....never been able to see you laugh before."
"Really? You haven't? I'm sure you've been able to-"
"Not as a young adult....I mean..."
"Ah, well.....who knows, I guess my life is improving.....I guess I have you to thank for that."
Phae stopped assaulting her husband (more in a playful way at this point), and wrapped her arms around him like usual. Phae's mood drastically changed, shifting from an uncomfortable child's attitude to an accepting woman's. Phae cooed into her husband's ear, only saying a few simple words.
"You're welcome."
Celmaru grasped Phae's forearms, holding them close. He leaned over to the side, falling into the greenery beneath him. His wife fell shortly after him, unable to escape through sheer force. They both lied in the grass, one holding the other. The Sun had dipped into the horizon, night dawning upon them. Rolling over slightly, Celmaru spoke.
"Do you think I'll ever become strong enough to protect everyone?"
"I know you will.....and if we have little children you-"
"You're still thinking about that?!"
"Am I not supposed to?"
"That's not a normal subject to speak of on a whim, Phae!"
"I still want one..."
"....Goodnight Phae."
"Wha-!? Celmaru!"
The hybrid had attempted to fall asleep, hoping to avoid Phae's persistent cries of procreation. Tired and willing to sleep alongside him, Phae fell upon her husband's shoulder, closing her eyes to rest. The couple rested under the night sky as the stars came into view, their celestial light shining upon them in the dark night. Another day, another adventure...that is simply the life of Celmaru and Phae Waterfield.
