The mountains were- in Krissa's eyes- the best place to train. Ever since they were both 13, they'd always came here to train. Krissa wouldn't dare to think of training somewhere else. It held a lot of sentimental value to her and Oriki's friendship. They had always sparred with each other and tried to lift boulders here. The mountains had forests with gigantic spruce trees that went up for about 5 meters. There was a certain area they always trained in; a circular field with multiple stone boulders surrounding it. The inner circle was plain grass, an ideal spot for slamming each other on the floor.
Today was one of those 'sparring' days, along with some minor exercises along the way.
Oriki and Krissa always liked to hike up the mountain, typically in about 2 hours tops.
They trained every other day of the week.
Oriki was lagging behind-not by much- Krissa. She was always an athletic person, and she was the type that would always beat you in a race. Both Oriki and Krissa were wearing their normal gear.
Oriki sported a hoodie covered by kevlar armour and metal plating. His right sleeve was cut short, with a durable glove. On them were brass plates, along with some brass knuckles around his hands.
He wore a faded crimson red scarf, with a little pattern along the edges. They looked like stars.
His face was a different matter- it looked pretty innocent. He had plain skin- no tan- and two scars, one on his cheek shaped like an X and one going down from his forehead to the bottom of his eye. That certain feature caused his right eye to be silver. It only affected his eyesight a tiny amount.
Krissa was right out in front, jogging along.
“Hurry up, slowcoach!” she was trying to encourage the young man. Her attire was very eye-catching- a blue cropped vest with long brass bangles on her wrists. She wore blue tracksuit bottoms with double white stripes going down the left side. She had a utility belt, which held a grappling hook and five kunai knives. Her skin was tanned- close to being light brown. She had emerald green eyes, with her hair tied up with a blue band.
As Oriki walked along, he noticed that the nature around him was booming with bright colours and lively wildlife. There were little lime bushes, multiple clear ponds with stepping stones and oodles of different coloured flowers surrounding them.
They finally arrived at their spot. Normally they stayed there for around 2 days, which they had planned to do so on this session of 'camping'. It was actually just an exercise trip.
Oriki tossed his bag to one side, while Krissa gently rested them against one of the boulders.
“You wanna spar straight away?” she asked, getting up and doing some star jumps.
Oriki sighed.
“Not yet.” he laughed.
“We might as well get it out of the way.” she added.
The young man sighed again and got into his fighting stance.
“You're sure you're ready?” she smirked. She obviously thought she could take Oriki on. Pfft.
“This is not a full on fight, though, right? We're just sparring. I don't want to hurt you.” Oriki joked.
Krissa growled menacingly, although Oriki knew she was just having a laugh.
She rushed toward him, spinning around like a ballerina and spin kicking Oriki.
He parried it with his arm, grabbing the leg and twisting it around. Krissa fell face first into the ground.
He waited for her to get up, but instead of slowly pushing herself up, she backward rolled and shot toward Oriki, kneeing his groin.
“Ugh!” he grunted, doing a backwards flip and kicking her jaw in the process.
She howled out in pain and started crying.
Oriki landed on both his feet, quickly running over to her.
“Are you alright? What happened?” he asked in a state of panic.
“I bit my tounge…!” she whimpered, holding onto Oriki.
“How about we leave the sparring for now?” he requested.
Krissa slowly nodded and started fiddling with her tongue.

Oriki wedged his hands underneath the large, stone boulder. No doubt it would be heavy, and no doubt Oriki wouldn't be able to lift it. He growled and screamed as he pushed up with all his weight. He put all the pressure he could into the lift, and yet it only moved an inch.
“HURNHHHGGG!” he screamed.
Krissa had been making just as much progress, not being able to lift it either. They tried this every single time they went to the mountain, but to no avail.
“You h-having tr-trouble too?” the girl was forcing the words out of her mouth. Beads of sweat were dripping from her forehead down to her cheeks.7
Oriki gave up. He stopped trying to lift it, and took a long break. This long break involved panting and gasping and sitting down, leaning against the boulder.
He studied his hands.
They were covered in rashes and rocks were digging into his hands.
The pair started to do push ups and squat thrusts, as well as multiple exercises.
They also decided to meditate for a bit, with candles around them. After all of the exercising was done, they started to set up their tent. It was starting to get late, and they were both tired.
They went to sleep, and as they woke up in the morning they were greeted by beautiful sunshine and the singing of birds.
They decided to spar once more and after that, headed off home.

Oriki held the blueprints for his space pod out on the table. It was simple, just a small sphere with a window so that he could see through it. Oriki settled on building it himself, even though it might malfunction and he might die. But, he was willing to take the chance. After all, if he did survive, it would give him more experience in the art of space travel.
He planned to fly into space and go to the nearest planet.
That was the easiest, and to be frank, the only option he had.
Oriki got to work straight away on the space pod. He gathered the materials he needed, such as iron, glass and copper. He also needed leather for the seat, and different parts of circuitry to make the electronics work. There was also the need of plastic for buttons.
He hauled the materials over in a convoy of three different boxes. Long ago, a Saiyan pod crashed into Kitoko. That's where Oriki got most of the materials and design for the space pod.

Oriki was very proud of his work, and hid the pod in his basement. As soon as possible he contacted all Resistance members and told them that he would be 'away' for a while.
He got into his space pod, and shot into space.
I don't even want to know where this will take me.
