Heaven really is what you make of it, that's the truth that Tako is slowly starting to understand, the longer she spends in this place. If she didn't find ways to keep herself busy, it was surprisingly easy to find time drifting away from her; not that this was a major problem for the spirited young woman. Tako had never had a problem staying busy in life, and death hadn't changed her dynamo-like energy. If anything, it had only made her more determined than ever to make up for the defeat she had suffered and the lives that had been taken as a result of that failure. Sure, the damage had been undone now; but that didn't make the initial failure any more acceptable in her mind.
As one of the few individuals in heaven to actually have a body of her own, one of the side effects has been a certain level of notoriety. The puffball residents of the place tended to congregate to watch the young woman train; a sight which offered an impressive light show and an increasing amount of variation in her techniques.
The teenager's body is starting to resemble her own more by the day. What had begun as a fairly generic, nondescript feminine figure is now unmistakably that of a teenage young human woman. There are a few differences though. Her once-dyed hair is now a ratty, washed-out shade of brown, and rather than her exciting old outfits she's had to make do with a simple, plain white robe she'd been able to rustle up from one of the ogres. Still. Compared to the mess of parts that she had originally started with, it is coming together nicely. In many ways, Tako has never felt stronger than she does right now!
To make sure that nobody gets hurt, Tako has actually staked off - with the help of some of the ogres - a small section of park which she confines herself to for much of her training. This area is notable because, right now, it is largely made up of smouldering, churned earth - blackened and singed from the energy attack she had unleashed upon it. The destruction wrought on the terrain was a little more excessive than she usually went in for, so... today, she's decided to train by putting the earth back into place.
The girl has managed to get her hands on a shovel, and fresh earth is being carefully laid out over the old, mulched stuff. Some of the ogres had offered to use magic to help her along but - she'd refused, quite loudly. This is her training ground, and she'd see to it in her own way! If that meant that she had to hand-sow the seeds, water the grass, and nourish the plants back to good health with her own two hands...
... well, it wasn't like she didn't have the time. This, too, was a kind of training; getting in touch with the natural world, and she was glad to undertake it!

If there was one thing that Jutsu quickly learned about heaven, it was that unless you have a body, heaven is about as exciting and fun as going to an amusement park when all the rides are broken. Jutsu stretched his arms as he woke up from his nap. He couldn't exactly tell how long he had been asleep, but then he remembered that time doesn't really go by in Other World. He started to aimlessly float around, partially because he wanted to look for his friend Shibo, and partially because he simply had nothing better to do. He had been floating for quite some time, when another cloud person flew very quickly past him, and the two nearly bumped into each other. "Hey, watch it!", Jutsu said, as he put his fist up and shook it at him. He looked past the cloud who had so rudely bumped into him, and saw a very small group of clouds "What's going on over there?", Jutsu thought to himself. He slowly approached the crowd, and noticed that the ground underneath him was starting to look like a meteor had struck it. It was burnt and turned from green grass to scorched rock as it got closer to the source. He looked up, and clumsily bumped into another cloud. "Oh S-sorry!", Jutsu said. The cloud simply looked at Jutsu with an annoyed expression on his face, and went back to watching whatever they had been watching. Jutsu saw a girl, who seemed to be older than himself, planting seeds and trying to fix the damage that someone had caused. Not exactly knowing what to do, he decided to float his way towards the girl. The first thing he noticed when he saw her was that, unlike the other 90% of the residents of heaven, she happened to have a body. Jutsu knew that he needed a body himself, but felt uncomfortable just asking her where she got a body. It just sounded wrong to him. So, being as friendly as he is, he approached the girl. "Uh, hi.", Jutsu said nervously. "Need some help with that?"______________ Tako

Conan sighed. "Another day dead," he said to himself as he wandered around in his cloud form. He sighed. He wished he could train. But he didn't have a physical body, unlike other fighters, so this was impossible. He could only watch the other people with bodies train, and it tortured him. Back up in the corporeal world, they could be surpassing Conan's power level easily. And Conan was not happy about that. He needed to get stronger so he could defeat Etoru, if he was still evil, and get revenge on Zyajin, Contagion, and Dr. Breech for nearly killing his friends. Conan walked, more like floated, through heaven, pondering many things.
(Start music when lyrics start)
Conan walked past a old T.V. Conan turned to look at it. It seemed to be voice-commanded. "Well, this is great! I can find out what's happening in the corporeal world!" He exclaimed in his ridiculous cloud voice. But, to no one's surprise, the T.V. Would not work. Tears began streaming down Conan's cloud face, but they were more like raindrops. He sat down in defeat, and began to imagine what they were doing. In the corporeal world, a flower was growing where Conan had spent his last moments. Etoru, filled with grief and exhaustion, falls onto the ground, Bing soon coming to his need. Ichiba flew off, hoping to get stronger and avenge all those who had died. His faced painted with a expression of determination. Jutsu made his way to the check-in station, being very confused. Breech sprinted into the forest, ready to find more candidates for his team of destruction. Contagion melting away as well, hiding in the darkness, waiting for another chance to get a easy absorb. Zyajin fled the scene as well, ready to wreak havoc upon the world and absorb all those who inhabit it to evolve and become perfect. All of them determined to reach their goals. Conan got up, and continued his walk. He began to sing a little song he had learned while on Earth, images of his friends going through his mind:
"Let's go in the garden." "You'll find something waiting." "Right there where you left it," "Lying upside down." "When you finally find it," "You'll see how it's faded," "The underside is lighter, when you turn it around."
His voice seemed to reach and echo through the heavens, arousing many other dead people to listen to Conan's call. He continued to walk, singing his little tune.
"Everything stays, right were you left it." "Everything stays, but it still changes." "Ever so slightly," "Daily and Nightly," "In little ways," "When everything stays."
Conan continued to make his way through heaven, listening to the ongoing tune in his head as he took in the sights and breathed in the fresh air. His listeners wiped teardrops from their faces as they continued to walk their own ways. "That's life isn't it. Everything seems to stay, and everything seems to change. but in some ways, they're all the same." He continued walking until he came across two people. One, was a girl with a physical body. She was Conan's age, 15 years-old. Then Conan saw another cloud watching her, he seemed vaguely familiar somehow, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He said to the duo, "Hey. I'm Conan, and you two are?" He hoped he could get some answers from the girl, since the last person he saw with a body had to disappear because of something.

Tako blinked when someone who didn’t sound like an ogre actually addressed her. It wasn’t too common these days – most of her fellow residents tended to see her more like entertainment than a person, not that she really minded that. When she straightened and looked over to where the voice had come from… she couldn’t help but laugh.
The sixteen year old shook her head a bit, chuckling as she walked over. “You might have some trouble with that, without a body.” She said. “Everything is a huge hassle when you can barely touch anything, even trying to lift a seed and drop it in a hole. Don’t worry about it. Anyway, this is my training ground, if I mess it up I’ll put it back together again!”
She could hear singing in the distance, and it wasn’t long before another little soul had turned up. Now, that could get awkward; Tako always had difficulty telling the people without bodies apart, but… she’d just have to try her best to remember which one was on which side relative to her. Hopefully they wouldn’t move around too much.
“My name is Tako Kurei.” She said, with a faint, rueful smile. She remembered what it was like when she was in their position! “You guys must be new around here, right? Not been dead that long? Don’t worry about it. You soon get used to it, and really, it isn’t that bad. If you need anything, you can talk to the ogres – most of the time, they’ll be happy to help out… though, you’ve probably already noticed that without a body, you don’t really need very much at all, huh?”
She’s certainly cheerful enough! Once she’d said hello, though, she grabbed another handful of seeds and scattered them back into the earth. She didn’t want to be rude, but it just wasn’t in her nature to let herself take long breaks! The longer it took to plant the seeds, the longer it’d take for the grass to grow back and her training area to be restored. Not that anyone else seemed to really care about that, either – she was sure if she asked, the ogres would have been happy to sort it out for her and she could have gone on to a new area… but then, if she was the kind of person who didn’t care about leaving a trail of destruction in her wake, she probably wouldn’t have been in heaven to begin with, right?

Jutsu felt like an idiot for realizing that because of his lack of a body, he wouldn't be able to help the woman. "O-oh yeah. Right... Well, uh, crap." It was then when he realized it WAS possible, it was just really, really hard. "Hmm...what if I... try this?", Jutsu said. He, slowly but surely, started to pick up a pile of seeds, and dropped it in a hole... Except 90% of the pile had phased through his hand, which left a trail of seeds behind him. "Oh, crap. Sorry!", Jutsu said. He almost immediately started to try to pick them back up. It was then when he heard some other cloud person singing. "Alright, who's the pop star?", Jutsu thought to himself, wondering who had the nerve to be singing loudly in a public place. Turns out, people were starting to follow him. It was then when the singing cloud walked up to the two. When he said his name, Jutsu couldn't hold back his excitement. He shook Conan a bunch while saying "OH MY GOD!" over and over again. When he finally stopped, a smile came across his face (even though cloud people have no mouth nor face). "Good to see you're in one piece, Conan!", Jutsu said whilst laughing. A look of confusion from Conan would most likely follow from that. "Oh, you probably don't recognize me! It's me! Jutsu!", he said. He was glad to find at least one person he knew in heaven. But, slowly but surely, his laughter turned silent. "They're forming a squadron...", Jutsu said with a serious tone, which he almost never, ever uses. "Dr. Breech and the others. And according to the news, they're growing. Fast. Too fast. We need a way to get back to existence as soon as possible, or who knows what could happen next. But even if we did, we're still outnumbered. Plus, neither of us are strong enough to take on any of them. So, we need a plan..." Jutsu had forgotten that the girl was there, and quickly turned around. "Oh, sorry! I just...had to talk about something urgent with my friend..." He hoped that the girl would dismiss the topic quickly, and not bring it up again. The girl who had been training called herself Tako. She asked if they were new to heaven, to which Jutsu nodded. The word 'dead' made Jutsu cringe. He hated being called dead, and simply referred himself to visiting heaven before coming back to Earth and getting revenge on those bio-freaks... "So, uh... as I said before, my name's Jutsu.", he said to Tako. "And you won't BELIEVE how I ended up here. If you're wondering how Conan and I know each other, we both happened to be near a building a group of bio-robot freaks had destroyed. Oh, and a kid that couldn't be more than 7 years old. So, we both tried to fight them off and be heroes but... uh..."
"We failed."
"And not even a normal fail. We got basically killed in one hit. The only difference between me and Conan's deaths, is that Conan's was from a quick energy wave. As for me..."
"Have you ever felt what it's like to have a gigantic hole punched through your chest? Not fun. So uh...yeah, that's pretty much why we're here. How about you?" Jutsu was reluctant to say that last part, because he didn't know if asking how someone died was offensive or rude or anything along those lines. But hey, it's not like Tako could punch him if it was... ______________ TakoConan

Tako's eyebrow twitched with annoyance as the little cloud attempted to 'help' her despite her assurance that she didn't need - or want - their help. The irregular scattering of the seeds isn't made much better by the apology, it just reaffirmed the fact that she wanted to take care of it herself.
No sooner had the cloud flitted off to look after its friend than Tako just about seemed to blink out of existence. The speed she put into undoing the damage done was totally unlike the relaxed pace she'd taken before; all at once, her full power burst out of her, and she set herself back to the point she had been before the cloud's interference.
As the pair gabble on, Tako just shook her head. It was ... pretty clear to her by now that they really were very new in Heaven; probably not more than a few days dead if she was any judge. Not, that she necessarily was - she tried to make it a rule not to interfere too much with the cloudies. They tended not to make the best company. Even if these two were more talkative than most, that would probably fade with time, too.
The conversation washed over her, and though Tako didn't really catch all of it - she caught enough to get the general gist. Much of the girl's remaining good cheer evaporated along with it.
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news." She said, dryly, after Jican finished explaining his whole story to her, "But... you're dead. You don't really get to just waltz out of here, and even if you could, why are you in such a hurry to get back? You'll just die again. Take it from me. A giant, gaping hole in your chest is nature's way of telling you to slow down."
Her tone is a little dark, the teenager had heard most of this before, after all. When she first arrived, the main thing all of the other people she died with wanted to do was get back to Earth as quickly as possible; as though they could just try again and things would go any differently at all.
She'd seen too many people throw their lives away to condone it all over again. What sort of lunatic just threw themselves right back into the mix against someone who completely outclassed them? She understood the impulse, but it was something that having her flesh torn from her bones had cured in her - she didn't really understand how it was that so many other people seemed to take a brutal, one-sided murder as some sort of personal challenge that could be overcome with another roll of the dice.
At the question of how she herself wound up here, the girl's expression only fell further into darkness. Her eyes narrowed down at the little cloud, and she gave a faint shake of her head. "That isn't something I like to think about." She said, "But take it from someone who knows, killer robots are serious business."
She might not be able to punch him, but from the expression on her face he had managed to piss her off something fierce. The memory of her last few moments of life burned bright enough in her head without it being brought back to mind by lippy clouds! It was, in many ways, the thing that kept her training...
But that didn't mean she needed to think about it all day every day! If she did, she'd go totally nuts!

Jutsu really felt like an idiot now. Not only has he screwed the seeds up, but he also had spilled the seeds everywhere. "Oh, uh, sorry...", Jutsu said when it seemed like Tako had had enough of his crap. As he talked to Conan, it seemed like Tako had cleaned up the mess he had made. "Thanks...", he soon said afterwards. Tako then started telling Jutsu the hard truth, and he was about to retaliate. "No, you don't understand... If I don't get back there, then Ichiba's gonna die, then there's not going to be anyone left to fi-". He stopped his little speech when Tako mentioned that if he just charged back into action, he'd get killed again. She got him there. By now, Breech was probably much stronger than Conan, Ichiba, or himself, and there wasn't anything he could do about it.
"I... I guess you're right...", Jutsu said, defeated. He never really thought about the fact that Breech was probably loads stronger than him, and that if even if he did manage to get back, then he'd probably get sent right back here again. "I, uh, never really thought about it that way...". When he asked about how she wounded up here, she only got more annoyed. She mentioned "killer robots", Jutsu didn't believe her. Killer robots only exist in cartoons, right? Not anymore. "Hey, uh, sorry for kind of... Ruining your day.", Jutsu said. "No hard feelings, right?". He hoped that Tako would forgive him, but it was understandable if she didn't.

"Look. Its not a problem. I don't care about the seeds."
Tako sounded pretty peeved, though - or perhaps just tired. It seemed like it had been a long time since she last had a proper conversation with someone, and this was... a particularly strange one at that. Trying to talk to a dead teenager about why he shouldn't do what pretty much everyone else she knew had done.
"The thing is, you've already done all you could, right? So you can either rush back in and get yourself killed, or you can work on what went wrong the first time and hope that by the time you get back, you're strong enough to make things go a little differently."
Tako gestured behind her, to the piece of ground she'd staked off as her training area.
"That's assuming you decide you want to go back at all. The world is a much more dangerous place than this, and to be honest... I'm starting to quite like it. I can train all I want, I get all the food and drink I want, and I don't have to work for it. I figure, since there's no pressing rush for me to go back... why not wait until I've got something to show for it?"
There's a shrug from the teenager, and she folds her arms across her chest. "I tell you what." She said, "Why don't you work on getting yourself a body, first, and then I'll help you train. When you think you're not just going to get your heart punched out again... maybe then you can stop and think about whether you want to head back to Earth or not, okay?"

Jutsu felt good knowing that Tako didn't take the whole seeds thing seriously. She looked exhausted, and it pained Jutsu to watch her be that way, and he couldn't help at all to boot. He genuinely looked sad, even though he didn't have the face to prove it. Tako then started lecturing him about how he shouldn't go back and that he should train to make a difference. All of which were valid points on why he should stay. "Ok, ok, I get it.", he said in a joking manner. "I should stay here and train, and then when- I mean if I go back, then I'll be ready.". He stopped for a second to look back at the training ground Tako had been trying to fix. It looked a mess, but it seemed to slowly be getting better and better. He started paying attention to Tako rather than the training ground when he heard the word "train". If he had them, his eyes would light up like fireworks. It had been forever since he had had a proper training session, and even longer since he had trained with other people. "Yeah, that would be awesome! We should totally train together! The last time I had trained with someone, it was with someone three times my strength and a dragon lady!". The last part of that sounded much better in his head. "Alright, let's do this!", Jutsu said to Tako, as he prepared to blast off into the golden sky. "I'll find some way to get a body, I promise! Then, we can train all we want!". And with that, Jutsu started to fly across the sky, with hopes of finding a way to get a body. ______________ Tako(Leaving Thread. Shoki, please!)

Tako shaded her eyes to watch as Jican flew off across the sky. Really, she had to wonder why he hadn't asked her about how to get a body... but it wasn't like she was going to discourage him from going his own way. If he could find it on his own, that'd probably be much better than getting one because she helped him!
She cast her eyes back around the area, noting the little cloud people that had turned up to watch. Most of them looked somehow more bored than usual - which was impressive, given that normally she couldn't tell what the hell the little fluffballs were thinking or feeling in the least.
"Y'know." She mused, looking back up to the sky to see the trail being carved by the energetic cloud, "That kid might just be okay. I can't wait to see what he's capable of when he actually has arms!"
Then, whistling a cheerful tune - and feeling more upbeat than she has in quite a while - Tako returned to the important task of replanting the seeds. After all, before too long, they were going to be tearing this whole area up all over again. She wanted it to look nice first!
