The streets of the east capitol were so energized with bustling pedestrians that it would be very hard to spot the small teal dome, significantly closer to the ground than the other heads around it. The child was tossed too and fro by the waves of people walking this way and that. Earth people were rather rude. Finally, the 3 foot arcosian slipped out of the crowd into an alleyway, where a few people who looked much more calm then everyone else were sleeping. Hm. This day wasn't turning out as it was supposed to! But the lizard boy wasn't going to let that get him down! After all, he had put on real live earthling clothes for this special occasion. A red oversized T-Shirt, and purple children's pajama pants. The child flew up into the air above the pedestrians, as he had clearly decided that it was no longer time to be a normal person anymore. He flew over the sidewalk, and crossed the street in the air, much to the surprise of the cars below. The small pearl white child landed firmly on his two feet across the street… In the city park!!! That's right! Today was the day! The child scampered in as quickly as he could, and there before his two eyes was the man, the myth, the legend… The balloon man!!! Brisk popped a squat alongside the other onlookers as he watched his idol do his work. The aforementioned man was a short, 5 foot something with a somewhat portly build, equipped with an unkept neck beard. In spite of his unappealing physical form, the man often wore a gentle expression, and a whimsical top hat. Yes, balloon man may have looked like just any old earthling, but he was so much more. And just like that, with three swift motions of his skilled hand, what had been any old brown balloon was now an adorable puppy dog. Brisk could not help but swoon. He stood up happily and began to wait on line, hopping from one foot to the other with anticipation as the line dwindled and each person received their fantastical creation. Finally the arcosian reached the front of the line. "Hello!!! Can I having the… um, gray…" Brisk suddenly realized that he didn't know the names of any earth animals. "The gray space monkey!?" Brisk sure hoped they had space monkeys on earth! Luckily, the balloon man seemed equipped for anything, and made him a wonderful purple space monkey. "10 zeni," the man said with a smile as he handed the animal to Brisk. MONEY!? HE NEEDED MONEY TO HAVE A BALLOON?! "Just kidding HA HA~!! I don't have zeni so I have to go now bye!" The child ran for the hills as the man looked on, half confused, half irritated. Brisk was upset, all that time waiting for a balloon and then he suddenly had to have money? The child sighed and sat down on the ground. His sadness wouldn't be disturbed until a powerful boom echoed through the city streets. People immediately began to panic. "You don't think?" "I hope-" "Was Richard in there-" "Oh god, please no" "The financial distri—" "The banks? Which bank?" "—all over again, I swear" In the middle of the churning crowd of fear and panic was the innocent arcosian, still sitting on the grass, looking rather confused. The streets were backed up all around the park, with cars honking loudly and furiously. Crowds began to move from the park. People stood covering one ear with a cellphone pressed to the other. A faint raven caw could be heard in the distance. The child raised his eyebrows, and then squinted, trying to look around at the horizon to see what had caused such a commotion. His interest was officially piqued. The boy flew up into the air, and finally spotted it. A couple blocks away, the entire lower quarter of a rather tall skyscraper had smoke pouring out of it like water. People scrambled about like little ants, terrified. Then came the sirens, loud, shrill, and blaring. Brisk wanted to throw a big old ki blast at whatever annoying thing was making those sirens. Black and white cars spilled into the streets, and men in blue stepped out of them when traffic didn't permit them to travel any further by car. Brisk dove through the air, arriving at the far end of the park where he could get a better view of the discord. The men in blue pervaded every corner of the streets, edging nearer and nearer to the park. And that was when Brisk heard the shouting.

"HEY! Kid!" At first, Brisk wasn't sure if it was addressed to him or not, so he decided to ignore it. "KID! Hey!!! You with the blue!" Now it was rather undeniable the voice was talking to him, so the child's wide eyes searched the sidewalk. Down below stood a man dressed entirely in black, hiding behind a fence. His black jeans appeared to be too large for him, and his arms were completely covered by his shirt even though it was a hot summer day. He also seemed to be wearing gloves, another strange thing to do at a time like this. To top it all off, he wore a white hockey mask over his face.
Brisk descended wearily to the ground. The man motioned for the boy to come to him, and the child did as he was told, rushing to the man's side. The man sitting was as tall as Brisk standing. He pulled up his mask, revealing his face, torn with wrinkles and covered with splotchy whiskers. He looked sad, but alert, and spoke in a sharp, quick whisper. "Kid, you look strong, huh? You like one of those super humans, huh? Huh?!"
The man looked to his left, as if checking if someone was there. He spoke again without waiting for a response, cutting right to the chase. "You bring me across the river there, and I'll give you five hundred zeni, huh?" Brisk was no idiot. He knew very well by now that the man had done something evil, or at least something he shouldn't have done. Maybe the man had even had something to do with the big explosion. But… The arcosian wanted money. He wanted to go buy balloon animals and good food to eat. And no good guys had offered him any money to do anything, so what was he supposed to do? A bad guy would have to do.
"Five hundred?" The child inquired, testing out the words on his tongue, confirming the deal. "Five hundred."
Soon enough the pair were 2000 feet in the air, slicing through the clouds with incredible speed. Brisk was carrying his passenger with one of his arms holding up each of the man's armpits. The stranger in black himself was desperately clutching two rather heavy looking burlap sacks. The duo watched as the river passed below them, a wide gap that separated the massive city from the suburbs across the water.
The man had more money then 500 zeni. A lot more. Brisk had realized that the man was the one who did the explosion, and that he had probably hurt a punch of people and that he probably had a lot of money in those sacks. They continued flying, the wind causing a ruckus as it rippled across the man's clothes.
And then, brisk let go.
It took the man about 3 seconds longer than it should have to start screaming. Brisk supposed that he didn't realize his momentum had changed because they were so high up. But he was screaming, screaming very very loud. The child balled his fists, flying down after the abhorrent wretch that he had planned to help. This way, he would get money, AND get rid of the evil man. Brisk swallowed deeply before descending to match the speed at which the man was falling at. He was blubbering.
He started out sobbing, and ended yelling. "P-Puhleas- I'll giv- You can havit all, i dongive a fuck, FUCK! HUH? WHACHU WANT? I'LL GIVE YOUIT PLEASE PLEAS PLE–" The man's pathetic words only hardened the arcosian's heart. First a powerful underhand strike to the stomach. Boom. The man's stomach rippled from the punch, and reverberated like a bass drum from the powerful blow. Then an elbow strike to the jaw. Crack. Brisk's elbow effortlessly snapped the man's head to the side, cracking his jaw with a distinct clap. A quick punch to the neck. Brisk's fist slammed into contact with the free falling man's windpipe, rupturing it violently.
His neck collapsed in on itself, and the man's last words were violently snuffed out by a faint boom of air from the obliteration of his cylindrical wind pipe; the sound could've been mistaken for the noise of a balloon popping.
And finally, a nice hearty roundhouse to the chest. The boy swung his whole body's momentum around in a circle and delivered a powerful three toed kick to his sobbing victim's chest, imploding his ribs and sending him careening at meteoric speed towards the mainland from which he wished to escape.
The blood soaked arcosian chased after the speeding corspe, collecting both burlap sacks, before rapidly changing course, and heading back across the river. It was time to count his zeni. He watched the grey clouds drift carelessly across the sky. More ravens could be heard making their own way across the river. The boy did a barrel roll in the air and giggled with delight at his newly acquired zeni. Now he could probably buy a billion balloon animals!
