The forest seemed to sway as the winds whipped through the canopy, the setting Sun cast dancing shadows on the mossy forest floor, only the deafing roar of the wind thrashing the trees branch's could be heard. With a paced walk and layered red skirt dancing in the wind, crystal blue eyes glanced around the surrounding forest with trepidation as a storm of supernatural means approached the Bamboo Forest.
Tess's blue eyes gleamed as she looked up to the sun, she turned around to face the wind as the fading sunlight highlighted the impending storm clouds and with a sly smile she strutted back to her old double porch Victorian home. Moss and other thick foliage long replaced the the shingles on the roof, the outside of first floor of the home was beautifully claimed by flowering vines, the dark exposed wood panel, paint long gone, only made the harder to spot from a distance as it blended with the surrounding trees. Potted bright flowers and herbs decorated the few visible parts of the top and bottom porch.
Tess gingerly spun on the moist moss and casting out ghostly flame orbs, the floating flames whipped in the howling wind, yet never moving from the spots they were cast. Something was going to happen tonight, she looked up to the flames as her hair flowed weightlessly around her. Something exciting

Interesting. Weather on earth isn't like this. Strong winds were ripping through the bamboo trees with ferocity. It was unnatural. It was creepy to Conan too. Conan actually had to put a hand up to block the wind from going at his face. "Darn human weather, making me look weak," Muttered Conan as it started raining. He groaned loud and wiped his hair. He hated the rain. It always got his hairdo messed up. Even his tail's fur was involved. Conan walked through the forest, trying to find a dry spot to sit down and have his peace and quiet. He found one, but bamboo branches swayed back and forth, occasionally hitting Conan in the face. He burned the bamboo branches and sat down. He closed his eyes and released all stress inside of him. He had fought many battles before this. One with Etoru, a happy half-saiyan child who can turn super saiyan who turned evil. He had been beat up by that fight, in fact, this was about 5 hours ago. He was still clutching his stomach, Etoru had hit him in that place hard. It had stunned him momentarily. He had to figure out what was that, and how he had gained the ability to turn into the Golden Warrior. He closed his eyes and cleared his mind of all thoughts, even though he had a lot of them. His hair started to flow upwards more and Conan said in response to that, "What the heck?" He stood up. The storm was getting worse by the minute. He started to walk through the bamboo, when he saw a woman. Why is a person even out at this kind of storm. Her marbles could be loose. He walked over and said to her, "Why are you out here? It's cold and miserable out here."

The pitter-patter of rain joined the howling wind, tall oaks of the bamboo forest kept most of the water off her home, and a light barrier domed over her keeping her dry. She continued to examine the area around her as she walked closer to her home. "Why are you out here? It's cold and miserable out here." Tess's attention snapped to a young male, the whites of her eyes turned black when he startled her giving her a ghastly apperance, her hair flowed around her as ghostly flames followed, Lighting flashed and thunder clashed. Her eyes had returned to normal by the strike, She cast her barrier over him to keep him dry. She quietly watched him with pale blue eyes, he was only two inches taller than her, and wore sayian armor, she wasnt paticularly fond of the surviving warrior race, but she wasnt fond of most aliens. "You're hurt." It wasnt really a qestion but a gentle statment. She didnt touch him, but beckoned him to follow

Conan took a step back when he saw the woman's eyes go black. When the thunder flashed, it just made Conan even more nervous. Her hair flowed around her. She must've been startled by Conan's sudden appearance. "Sorry if I startled you," Conan said politely as a barrier went over him, keeping him dry. "Thanks, I am not very fond of the rain," Conan said to her as he looked up and saw the raindrops dropping on the barrier. "You're hurt." Conan was startled when he heard that. "How-" Conan began to ask, but stopped and walked with the woman, not wanting to lose track of her. But how did she know Conan was hurt? He didn't show anything that hinted at him being damaged. He ran his hand over his stomach tenderly. "How'd you know I was injured?" Conan asked Tess as he tried to make his voice heard from the wind. He seriously needed to go indoors. The storm was getting very bad. Conan continued walking, but closed his eyes and tried to relax. But how can you relax when this kind of storm was hitting the bamboo forest? A bamboo tree started to fall on Conan, but he batted it away as if it was some kind of fly. It was getting annoying and bothersome to bat all this bamboo away. He hoped where the woman was taking him wasn't too far away.

Tess continued to scout the area about her as she slipped through the tall reeds of the bamboo, finally she stopped where the bamboo met the massive pines trees, they would be far more exposed here. The saiyan seemed anxious as he questioned her, "How'd you know I was injured?" Tess tilted her head lightly without facing him, "Your stomach chakra is unbalanced. I can see that." She turned and pointed to his abdomen, "There." She didn't mean to be so cold towards the kid but the storm had her on edge. Blue lighting flashed above them, it was then she noticed the shadows slithering across the forest floor behind him, her eyes widen in shock, "Move." She quickly grabbed his hand and hurried him through the pine trees and stray bamboo stalks.
The storm seemed to engulf the world around them, the howling wind whipped through the thick trees only deepening the unease of the witch. Her home was finally in sight, but her view was quickly blocked by a manifested shadow, she stared into the black pits of what she assumed were it's eyes. To close to run, or utter a spell. She furrowed her brow in determination, and exhaled as she allowed her power to open and flourish out, her body emitted forceful blinding light, burning up every shadow near them. As the light subsided so did her barrier, she was now standing in the dark pouring rain with her fist clinched to her chest.
Tess slowly opened her glowing blue eyes, rain wetted down her hair as she looked up raindrops dripped of her eyelashes, she took a first wobbly step forward, "W-.... Look there, we need to get to my home." She kept her voice steady as she pointed to the two-story house, it almost blended into the forest surrounding it, another lighting flash made it easier to spot in the dark trees.
She seemed to quickly recover her gracefulness and hurried up the old wooden steps, and ushered the boy in through the creaking double doors. It was dark and warm as they moved into the foyer, she waved her hand lighting the candle chandler. Despite the decayed appearance of the outside panels, the interior was clean and appeared to be new, pictures and paintings of women of pass generations. Tess slumped into the closest chair, her body ached from the burst of magic, she slicked backed her long golden hair and looked up, "Yea, bad day to visit the forest, I'm Tess, how did you get hurt anyway, little boy."

At this very moment in time Athren would've found himself training in the harshest of elements. As usual he had his heavy weighted gear equipped and his scouter on. He didn't like to go anywhere without him. They had both been tools of great use, it'd be silly to leave them behind. Currently he was shadow boxing in the middle of a thunderstorm, the rain was pouring down on him hard and the wind was colliding with him ruthlessly. Right, left, right. His fists jabbed into the air quickly. He followed this with a roundhouse kick that was executed precisely. He had been doing this for quite some time now, about an hour and a half. He wasn't out to push himself to new limits but simply work in his boundaries and keep in shape. If he was out to grow, he'd surely be in his super saiyan form and be somewhere much more difficult. Regardless, he was here and this was his plans. Though, putting it on pause for a moment he sensed Conan's energy. Though something was off, it wasn't as high as it should have been. Athren assumed Conan was hurt, it was the most reasonable explanation for it.
Lifting his hand up to his scouter Athren turned it on, he had no messages from his crew but it lit up with Conan's location and his weakened power level. Athren arched his brow curiously. "What the hell did the kid get himself into?" He said as he noticed another power level with him. It was quite lower than Conan's but maybe they had a trick up their sleeve, Athren didn't know the full situation but he fully intended to go check it out. Lifting off the ground of his currently location Athren blasted off into the air towards Conan.
It didn't take Athren very long before he was high above a large forest, he was flying at full speed. The rain and winds hitting him even harder now. Though this really didn't bother him much. Before long, Athren arrived at his destination. The exact spot where Conan was. He appeared to be in a house, but who's was it? Athren didn't have a clue, but he figured he'd check on the kid anyway.
Slowly Athren lowered himself. His white boots collided with the ground gently in front of this strange house. His ocean blue eyes scanned the place down quickly, it didn't appear as if anything of a threat would live there but then again Earth was a strange place. He figured he'd best keep his guard up, just in case. Finally, Athren raised his voice. "CONAN!" As he awaited some kind of activity, Athren crossed his arms firmly in front of his chest.
Heavy Weights: Equipped.

He looked at the home with caution when Tess quickly pushed him in. It gave him a strange feeling. As if he was, I dunno, uneasiness? I guess Conan would feel this after all that has happened. And, did that woman just say chakra? How can she feel Conan's ki? Conan knew that people could do it, after all, he has seen many examples of this. But, it was strange. It was also disturbing that shadows seemed to be trying to hurt them. After all, there was nothing like this on Planet Vegeta. Good ol' Planet Vegeta, they have nothing there, so ya don't have to worry. "Why were those shadows attacking us?" Conan asked curiously as he walked around, scanning his new surroundings. Fairly interesting for the eyes. Couple of chairs. Stuff. He walked down over to a chair and slumped down on it. It was comfy, surprisingly. "And also, what is chakra?" Conan asked as he wiped raindrops from his hair. "Annoying raindrops," he muttered as the woman talked to Conan. She said her name was Tess, and that she was curious on how Conan got injured. He rubbed his head and started to retell the story. "Oh, how the story I'm about to retell-" He was interrupted by someone yelling his name outside. Someone VERY familiar. He ran outside and saw someone he thought he'd never see again. "Athren!" Conan exclaimed as he ran over to him, only to trip and fall because of his stomach pain. He curled up into a ball, clenching his stomach and coughed out some blood. "Wow, Etoru did a number on me," Conan muttered to himself as Black dots started to cover his vision. He didn't bother fighting it, he was already tired enough as it is without using the last but of his ki to try and stay conscious.

As soon as it was safe the child warrior questioned her about the shadows and chakra, she together head lightly and finally gave him a warm smile, "I would love to tell you, but first your injuries." She arose from the chair and walked through the dinning room to the kitchen to grab the items she needed. She entered the rustic kitchen filled with hanging plants and counters covered in bottled elixirs, she snapped off an aloe leaf and crushed it, she grabbed a bottle of a mixture and begun to head back to the foyer when the massive stained glass window of the dinning room lit up as thunder clashed, she froze with terror as for a moment she saw a monstrous vision behind the colorful glass.
Shouting from outside startled her back to reality, she rushed into the foyer just in time to see the child warrior falling, she was about to rush to him but hesitated when she noticed the adult male sayian, but when she felt the sharp painful chakra, she rushed forward. He need help, NOW. She eyed the male saiyan as she descended upon the young fighter, she quickly opened the elixir she brought from the kitchen, "Drink it. It will help." Her words were quick and soft as put the bottle to his lips, she set the bottle down, "Just relax as much as you can." she sat him up, placing her hand behind his head to pull him toward her, she rest her forehead against his and gently placed her other hand on his abdomen, his pain spiked through her as she eased her healing magic into him, her body faintly glowed as her hair rose, floating around her, giving her an unearthly appearance.
Slowly the glow faded and she released the young man, "There. How you you feel now.... Conan?" She smiled softly, yet her eyes darted toward the adult sayian, "Do you know him?"

Fortunately for Athren, he wasn't forced to wait long to see the little saiyan brat come running outside of the building. Though, it was kind of odd to see how excited he seemed. Really, what the hell was the big deal? Athren wasn't all that special. Sure, he might have offered Conan a home and some training but damn, this is kind of pushing it? Sure, Athren wasn't exactly against showing emotion but this kid straight up over did it. It just wasn't Athren's style, but in the long run Conan was just a kid. Who could expect any less? Athren watched as the kid had toppled over. His eyes had scanned Conan down lightly, it didn't look like there had been that much physical damage done, but yet the kids power level had been dropped. What the hell had happened he asked as he stared him down? In a stern voice, Athren opened his lips and spoke to the kid. "Get up kid, You're tougher than that. Aren't you?" His words word to taunt or torment the injured fighter, but simply an attempt to bring him up. If Athren couldn't build this kid and form him into a true warrior, it'd all be pointless. If one didn't have proper mindset when in combat, all the fighting techniques in the world could prove useless. Athren didn't want that for the kid, no. This kid had potential and Athren wanted to see it all the way though.
It was at this moment when Athren had noticed somebody else approaching the two of them. He arched his right brow up curiously as he lifted his ocean blue eyes up to look at the newcomer. He definitely didn't expect to see what he did. He thought maybe a saiyan would've lived out here in a place like this, so isolated. Hell, Maybe even an Earthling warrior or some other kind of alien race that ended up here but a woman that looked like she did? Definitely not! In all honestly, the young saiyan warriors jaw nearly dropped. His eyes couldn't help but look her up and down once. Athren had found himself speechless for a moment, hell his cheeks were even turning a very light shade of red. He couldn't help but stare. He watched as she tended to the young saiyan before him, she seemed to actually want to help. She seemed genuine enough. He figured he'd have nothing to worry about with this woman being in the area. She then spoke to Conan and asked how he felt, afterwards she asked if he had known Athren. Of course he did, Athren did know him by name after all but that didn't really matter at this point.
Before Conan had a chance to reply to Tess, Athren crouched down to be on their level. Athren finally managed to take his eyes off Tess and get serious. "Yeah, He knows me. I'm.. a friend." To be completely honest, Athren didn't have a clue what he was to Conan. A trainer, a big brother, a friend? He really didn't have any idea. Regardless, He'd keep it at that for now. Now, Speaking to Conan Athren asked about the situation. "So, What the hell happened to you?" With that being said Athren went quiet as the rain continued to pour down upon him. The wind continued to brush up against him and ruffled his soaked hair around. It wasn't the most pleasant day to be outside, but he was a warrior. He wasn't going to let that stop him from training.

Conan was about to close his eyes when Athren said for him to get up. He pushed himself slowly back up to his feet and waved away the thing that Tess was trying to make him drink. He wasn't a weakling. If he drank the potion Tess attempted to give him, it'd just hurt his pride. Conan didn't want to embarrass himself in front of Athren too. He staggered back a little and then grounded his feet into the ground to make sure he wouldn't fall again. The pain still pounded on his stomach as if Etoru was still punching him, but he ignored it. A true saiyan never whined of pain. Conan made sure his face had no traces of cringing or hurt. "If you want to know soo badly why I got hurt, i'll tell the story inside. Not in the pouring rain, because I hate the rain. It ruins my hairdo," Conan said as he stared at Athren's shocked expression and painted red face. He held back a string of laughter, but a sly smile managed to get on his face when Athren started to stare. 'Real smooth Athren,' he thought as he snickered a bit. He then started back toward Tess's home, letting out a quiet string of laughter. Sure, it hurt Conan, but he couldn't stop himself. The one time Athren acted like this, or did he always act this way in front of girls? If he did, Conan would be a lot less scared of Athren. He then saw something dart inside the house. Another shadow monster thing? He shrugged and walked om without Tess's permission. He sat down on one of the chairs and sighed. Gosh, he needed to catch up on training. Etoru has become a new threat to Earth as the Golden Warrior, a super saiyan. Conan always thought those were legends, but he also heard rumors of the Queen of the SSE, Zucceta, being able to turn super saiyan herself, which made Conan quiver a bit in his seat. He waited for the other two to come so he could begin his story.

Tess looked over at the sayian crouching next to her with raindrops dripping off her long eyelashes,"Yeah, He knows me. I'm.. a friend." She nodded, he then turned his attention to the young warrior, "So, What the hell happened to you?" Essentially the same question she had him asked earlier.
She looked up at Conan in shock as he rejected her healing, she furrowed her brow in irritation knowing he needed medical attention. It was fine she had more important things to worry about, "If you want to know soo badly why I got hurt, i'll tell the story inside. Not in the pouring rain, because I hate the rain. It ruins my hairdo," Tess walked after Conan, 'Jezz, this kid cares more about his hair than I do.... Well I don't really care about it all that much.'
Tess remained standing near the front door instead of sitting down, the storm outside began to worsen as the lighting flashed repeatedly outside, she held her self and shivered as a new wave of dread hid her. Her eyes began to scan the foyer anxiously, 'no, Don't be ridiculous, I have the house warded.' but the feeling of dread did not leave her. She looked out the door once last time as she closed the door. (Assuming Athren follows)

It didn't take long to do, but Athren had managed to snap out of his staring and focus back on the young one. To be honest Athren was quite impressed that he had gotten up and refused to take what the woman had been offering him. Though it had brought him to thought, was he trying to be tough in front of Athren and prove something or was it simply that his character and pride wouldn't allow assistance from something unnatural? Regardless, if this kept this attitude, Athren was sure they'd get along fine. Though when the time came to get some serious training in, Athren wasn't going to take it easy, he wasn't going to let the kid catch his breath. It'd be a brutal spar with Athren making sure the kid learned how to take a punch and deal with the worst situations. It would be difficult for the kid, yes. In the long run it'd surely be beneficial. Regardless, that was then. It was time to deal with the now. It just so happened the kid had mentioned he didn't like his hair being wet, honestly.. at this time that's what he was worried about? That's such a minor detail, he was supposed to be a fighter. He was a saiyan, not a princess. Though at the time Athren was going to keep his mouth shut regarding that situation. He wanted to get the story. "Fine, Inside it is then." With that being said Athren walked into the house with the two of them.
As he had walked in Athren didn't really look around too much, he didn't care what was in the house or what it looked like. He was too focused on what Conan had experienced. It was obviously something important and Athren assumed it wasn't a spar if the kid was in that bad of shape. Sure, he understood that saiyan spars weren't always the most pleasant but this was far beyond a good beating. Once inside Athren found a wall to lean his back against. He lifted his right foot and placed the flat against the wall. He then crossed his arms tightly against his chest as was his usual posture. "Alright kid, Get to it. I don't have all day." Athren had said in an eager and cold tone. He didn't want to wait, it was a story about a fight. There would potentially be two outcomes when Athren heard this story. His options were going to be quite simple, either he has to go find somebody and get a fight in or he'd immediately get Conan training so he could rematch this mystery fighter himself and win.

Conan straightened himself in his seat and cleared his throat. He then began retelling the battle. "Well, I was off in the woods, just relaxing, when I came across my friends Etoru. But, he seemed off. He said that he was now evil, well, that surprised me because usually he's a kind soul. But enough about that, let's get to the actual battle. I started out with a regular barrage as I do, and I actually got a hit on him. Which is surprising because, well, Athren, he's as strong as you. But when I couldn't keep up with him he said to me, 'This is getting old Conan...if you really want your life you should just do something else to amuse me...' then I tried to grab his tail, because I knew he had a tail weakness, but somehow, when he turned evil, he somehow made the tail weakness disappear. For my mistake doing that, he almost broke my arm," He took a second to unroll his blue dogi to show them a largely bruised arm, and then continued,"He made a comment that I kept on using my signature finisher, a uppercut, which made me predictable, I should've known." Conan started to remember the pride breaking words he said, 'Come on Conan! You're better than thiiiis! I came here for a warm-up Conan. And you can't even offer that?? The only reason I'm letting you live is because of how boring you are...gosh...but next time, don't expect this kind of mercy. Pest.' He clenched his fist in anger as Conan started again, "But when he turned Super Saiyan, that's when this happened-" He pointed at his largely bruised stomach. "He charged up a stun punch and hit me hard in the stomach. Considering his Super Saiyan power was about as much as another saiyan I met, Jarvis, it really hurt. Lightning actually traveled from his fist and into my stomach, making me stunned. He spared me though, at least that was good." He laughed sadly. "My pride as been cracked from that ever since.." Conan looked up at the roof. "I thought I was going to die. But, i'm still here, so, that's good," Conan said as he unrolled his sleeves to reveal the many scratches and bruises from the battle. "I guess the stunned punch isn't the only thing he did," he said with a hint of amusement in his voice.

The three of them stood in the foyer, warm pastel yellow walls lined with brown footers and dark wood floors, it had a high ceiling, the room was semi jointed to the old plantation style living room (on the left), a open archway that reveled a empty dining room (on the right), then in front of them a short hallway that lead to a carpeted stairway.
As Conan recanted his battle with an old evil friend, he showed off his recent wounds, Tess closed her eyes and looked away with a pained expression, this is why she hated these warrior races, sending off children to kill each other. He obviously needed the healing he refused, as he continued on his tale she marched out of the foyer through the empty dinning room, while avoiding looking at the massive stained glass window, and into the kitchen where she pulled down a glass jar of small dried flowers, she shoved the small flower into a long pipe made of white antler, she puffed quietly as she tried to calm herself, "Freaking pointless..." She leaned on the counter over the sink to stared out the small kitchen window, which only reminded her of the howling storm outside, she blew smoke at the window in indifference, "There are two aliens in my foyer, and a shade storm outside, King is in the city, my spell book is still missing. Maybe I should be calling this a shi-" *creeeeeek* She spun around suddenly as she heard the floor creak, her reaction was too late.
The shade demon rose from the shadow and struck as fast as a viper, it's dark tentacles gripping her tighter with each breath gasping breath. Her panicked eyes darted around the room for anything, How could she be so careless and forget to light the kitchen candles? Shades can only manifest in the dark, and there she had sat like an easy target smoking in the dark kitchen alone. Her panic spiked as a dark tentacle slithered up to her neck, 'Calm down, Calm down. Candle. Flame.' She tried to ease her power out to light the candles, instead of simply lighting them, the candle flames roared out like brightly lit torches. The Shade screeched in pain from the light as it fled in shadow form Tess chocked and gasped in an attempt to put air back into her lungs, she was on the floor on all fours as she finally caught her breath.

Finally, the brat had began his story on what had happened. He had only made Athren wait long enough. While Conan told Athren of the events that happened Athren remained quiet and gave Conan his full attention. Though he couldn't help but here a faint mumble coming from Tess. He didn't know what it was but he had figured she wasn't too impressed with the Saiyans. He knew that Earth didn't take kindly to their race, especially since after the invasion attempt and it was expected. Athren couldn't hold it against the Earthlings when Saiyans had caused so much pain all over the planet. Eventually though, they'd have to open their eyes and see that not all of their kind were like that. In fact, Athren was willing to die for the Earth. If that was the cost of protecting it, he wouldn't hesitate. Though hopefully it wouldn't come to that again, the other world wasn't overly pleasant. During Conan's story the woman named Tess and slipped away into another room, his ocean blue eyes had followed her as she did. He didn't know what she was doing but he felt as if he wasn't welcomed. It made sense though, he didn't ask to come into her home. He simply walked in, he figured he'd be best off to leave after Conan's little story. In a snap. Athren's eyes shot back to Conan. They were quite wide. Did he just hear what he thought he did? Did Conan just say he fought a super saiyan? That meant Athren wasn't the only one. This was an interesting thing, Athren might have had someone to fight that would be quite an equal match. "So, you're telling me I'm not the only one who can transform into a super saiyan?" Though he was in complete shock, he couldn't help but smirk. It was a very exciting concept. "Maybe I'll pay your friend a vis-... " At this moment in time Athren would've heard the sounds of fire. It also would've lit up the dark room that Tess had entered. His reaction time was pretty quick, he straightened himself up and darted for the room she was in. Ending in a slide Athren slid into the room she was in. When he came to a stop he didn't see anything but Tess down on the floor. At this point in time, he wasn't paying any attention to if Conan had followed or not. Step by step he slowly approached Tess. When he reached the downed woman he crouched down himself. His right knee hovered just slightly above the ground. His right arm rested lightly on his knee. He then held out his left hand to her with a light smile, if she had took it he would've helped her back up to her feet. With a friendly smile on his face Athren spoke up once again. "You okay?" With that being said he awaited her response, the water from his clothing and hair still dripping to the floor. It was odd, he hadn't known what happened. He didn't see the creature, he just thought one of her abilities backfired on her. Regardless, that was irrelevant. Making sure she was alright was priority. ------/--- Phone post. ?
