Whoosh! Brisk flew through the air at breakneck speeds. The lush green landscape was a blur as the boy darted past the trees, a good fifty feet above the foliage below. His tail was poised in the air like the hand on a clock, pointing straight back from his body, and he was flying in a superman-esque pose, except with his hands by his sides. The child had just been informed by a rather rude man in a black Gi that there was a special tower with a cool guy named Bong who was a saiyan and called a Kami and he lived in a tower that was located in the southern end of this forest. And Brisk desperately wanted to meet him because saiyans are really really cool because they are really strong and for that reason Brisk wanted to meet Bong. And thus, the arcosian set off in flight, beginning to head south from Ginger Town, where he had met the well informed man who looked like a space-horse.The boys large eyes scanned the terrain below. No, no, nope, no, and no. There was no tower in sight. Where was the tower supposed to be? South in the forest, but he couldn't find anything. The large trees seemed to be pine-like, taking on the shape of large furry emerald cones… Miles and miles of them; all of the trees looked exactly the same. "Bleh!!!!!" Brisk groaned with frustration, flying left and right and then in a fully circle— No tower, as far as the eye could see. So he kept flying south. But alas, still no tower. Eventually, the boy reached the edge of the forest; the trees became more sparse, more spread out, and eventually decreased in frequency to such an extent that they disappeared all together. Where was the tower? Wasn't it supposed to be in the forest? The boy turned around mid air and retraced his steps, flying backwards into the foliage covered land. Okay, maybe it was somewhere else along the edge. The young arcosian began flying to the right, soaring across the sky with his eyes wide open. But no tower. He then turned around, and began to fly to the left, passing his original point and going to the other southern end of the forest. Where was the tower? Brisk began to become frustrated, and flew sporadically into the center of the forest. He descended into the greenery looking for any trace of the tower.
But wait a minute. Which way was south? The child's face went pale as he realized that he was completely lost. Frantically, he flew up in the air, and was greeted by the sight of infinite trees, expanding outwards towards the horizon in every direction. He was irrefutably lost as heck. "Don't panic," brisk said out loud, not really to himself, but not to anyone in particular. He began to fly around in a circle, searching for any way out. He had to find his way back to Ginger Town, so he could find which direction was south, so he could go south and get to the tower, so he could see Bong the saiyan. He began to fly in one direction as fast as he could, and then came to a screeching halt. He formed an idea, and giggled to himself with delight at how smart he was. The boy crossed his arms, and then stuck out a single finger, pointing it towards the ground. A teal orb of energy formed at his fingertip, and then shot down like a solid beam, slicing cleanly through a tree. "Super Duper Doom Beam!"
Holding out the beam of energy, Brisk began flying as fast as he could in one direction. The beam of energy ravaged the trees in a small line below him, effectively carving a tiny bread-crumb trail into the ground. Brisk eventually reached the edge of the forest, which was not the edge of which Ginger Town was located at. And so, the short lizard boy turned around, and retraced the effects of his energy beam back to the starting point, and continued in a different direction, perpendicular to his original path, using his super duper doom beam again. Again, Brisk ended up at the border, with Ginger Town nowhere in sight. And so he retraced his steps twice more, eventually forming a "plus" shape from his journey. The final direction that Brisk took turned out to be the correct one, and the arcosian finally found himself in Ginger Town. Okay, now he was in Ginger Town, brisk thought exhaustedly, but he still had never found the tower... He was getting a headache from all of this boring searching.
The boy landed on the ground, needing to rest, and sat there pondering. Maybe more people from Ginger Town would be able to tell him about the tower, he hoped desperately. Coincidentally, Brisk spotted a woman walking outside of the border of the town, picking flowers near the forest. Brisk approached her on foot. "Excuse me, Misses?" the child asked. The woman's eyes rose, and she immediately got an expression that Brisk found rather funny. She spoke to him in an ever so slightly sing-songy baby voice. "Yes, can I help you, little guy?" She squatted down a bit, putting her hands on her knees to look at him. Brisk stood up as tall as he could, putting his hands on his hips and looking up at her, his chin raised almost entirely. "I need to go to the tower with the Kami named Bong on it, right now because of important reasons," Brisk informed her with a formal tone in his voice. She suppressed a giggle. "You want to go to Korin tower?"
When Brisk responded in the affirmative, the woman informed him that he needed simply to travel south through the forest they were standing by. Brisk told her, somewhat exasperated, that he had already traveled to the southern end. She responded that the tower was not inside of the forest, but rather a mile or three outside of the radius of the forest, and that it was not just a tower, but a large semicircle in the sky which people lived on. Brisk found all of this quite ridiculous sounding, but took her advice because he saw no reason she would lie to him. And even if she would, (which he didn't think she would) it was a better idea than any one he had currently. "Thank you miss!" he told her happily as he began to set off in the same direction he had gone an hour ago, southwards. The child was barely even frustrated with the fact that he had just spent an hour searching, when the place he was searching for was simply an extra mile in one direction.
Sure, a lot of time was wasted, but Brisk was still rather excited— He was going to see a real live super strong saiyan!
((This is 2/2 threads leading up to Brisk meeting Kami and asking for his training! Zeni please again, thank you! Sorry for the repetitiveness of this one.))
