A floppy eared stubby tailed hero climbing on top a large spherical rock half buried within the deserts every sweeping sands. He sighed as he rested on the warm rock drinking from a sweating bottle of water. Guzzling it down before opening up his pack and digging around for a map. Unfolding it and trying to figure out how far away the other side of the desert he was. "Maybe even trying to cross it was a bad idea" he thought to himself as his tongue lolled out of his mouth and he pants.
Grumbling and pulling one of his boots off his foot paws turning it upside down and pouring a small mound of sand from it. He shakes his floppy ears and tosses the boot onto the rock where it bounces off and thwacks it on the side. Suddenly Chili is flung into the air with such force his body turning over on itself until he face plants into the desert.
Pulling himself free from the dune covered in sand he looks at the rock and notices a curved section had popped up. Carefully stepping back over to it he hoists himself up and peeks inside. He could see a somewhat comfy seat and lots of buttons. Climbing back on top of it he scratches at his head "This sorta looks like one of those old space ship things that Dad told me about" he thought. Putting his boot back on before dropping down into the pod.
He looks around inside and sits in the seat. "I wonder if it works... it seems really old" he inquires. He reaches out and pokes at a button that suddenly springs to life. Lights flash on and the door closes once again. "...Maybe I could find Dad with this thing" his finger poking at buttons until a flashing alien language comes across the screen, a peculiar planet shown behind it. He couldn't be sure where this was, but his Dad could be anywhere. Throwing caution to the wind he presses another button as the small pod jettisons out of the sand and into the air.
(Ready for grade and this will be using the one time pod if that's alright.)
