( Thread PL: 8.803 PL | Heavy Weights On | PL: 2.220 PL )
The Saiyan was in the middle of a classic day of his; fly around the Earth without an exact destination, while sometimes he visited camps or cities, he had no real business in such places. His food source was the forest, where he also trained most of his time but he had enough of doing that. Now after all the time spent to explore the planet, he was definitely to know most of its regions and he didn't really do anything but meet other people. But, did such a thing have any purpose? Was meeting people truly important? After all, no other people were fundamental for his training, unless they were pretty good fighters to spar with. But it wasn't always the case.
This time, Cornatto was in the flying around the Western Frontiers as he looked upon the desert zone. "This desert is huge! But I doubt anyone lives here.." - he said to himself before flying towards the other half of the frontiers which consisted of forests and grasslands. "Great, I'm in the middle of almost nothing and without anyone around.. doesn't seem too different than the usual. I could use this change to.." - the Saiyan glanced upwards and crossed his arms, looking at the sky before narrowing his eyes. "What to do.. -train?" - he muttered lightly while he kept his gaze towards the sky, with the feeling that he had nothing to do.
"Perhaps meeting people isn't so bad after all, days would be less dull than what they are." - he said to himself before descending, resting his feet on the ground as he glanced around. Cornatto was tempted to meet Raisu once again, he could feel that he had improved since the last time they fought but it was not enough. He was not able to sense Ki energy yet, but he could tell the difference between the Saiyan and the Hybrid. He knew it wouldn't have been different if he fought him at his current strength. But he was still determined to surpass the Hybrid's strength and fight him once again. "Oh well.. I suppose it isn't the day- yet."

[Thread Power Level: 337.249] [Ki Suppression On. Current PL: 15.000]Sometimes Natto would go to the desert. He did that whenever he was homesick. Even though he was becoming quite a fan of the Blue Marble, he missed Vegeta. He only lived for about five years of his life on the home planet of the saiyans, truth be told, and three of those years were locked inside an incubator, as a baby, but, still, he was proud of his heritage, he cherished the crimson skies and the twin suns of it. The Earth’s desert, especially at dusk, reminded him quite a lot of the Central Wasteland on the outskirts of Cacumber Capital. The young saiyan warrior was resting on top of a white rocky structure, resting and remembering, with a nostalgic gaze upon his face.
Then he felt a small power level approaching. – Hm? – he slowly and lazily opened one of his eyes and looked around the area; be the sensation he had, it should be somewhere around two or three thousand only, a middle class warrior at best. Finally he saw a person there, flying. He had a spiky hair and a tan skin which reminded Natto of a saiyan, but he had no visible tail and dressed on one of those light baggy clothes the earthlings favored. ”Maybe an Earthling, then?” he wondered.
He didn’t seem to be aware of Natto, and, even though he was suppressing his power level a lot, it was still much higher than the person’s power. ”Maybe he can’t feel me… No way he would ignore me if he could sense me… Unless he is also suppressing his power level, and believes a power level of only fifteen thousand wouldn’t pose a threat… Either way, I’m quite curious now!” he thought to himself, cracking a smirk on the corner of his mouth.
– Okay! Friendly mode on! Let’s go talk to that guy! – he decided and, with that in mind, he took the skies again. Natto was wearing his traditional saiyan attire, even though he knew it caused quite a lot of trouble and misunderstanding whenever he met someone new. He would approach by slowly flying, making himself visible before saying anything, in order to see how the guy would react. Word Count: 372

The Saiyan didn't move at all, in that moment he wasn't just wondering about his current strength level but he was beyond his own thoughts. He stood there, without an actual thought while his gaze was set to the sky and such a thing was not unusual. Cornatto often took a moment to stare at the blue sky which was above himself but it was not a moment to reflect but to contemplate, the planet he had known since he was a child and every single living being who lived on it, though such a thing never lasted long. Mostly a few minutes but no more, what usually came shortly after was his training.
His spiky hair flowing slightly as the wind blew, his eyes settled on the various clouds. He was tempted to take it easy that day but a part of himself knew that he couldn't just ignore his daily training. "I wonder how many powerful people live on this planet.. I've met a few strong fighters already- like Raisu, but then? This planet has a decent size, there must be millions living beings and possibly even stronger people- stronger.. than that Human assassin and mostly important, much more powerful than Raisu. And although it is hard to admit.. stronger than me." - he thought, his Saiyan blood didn't take pride in that statement but at least it was a good reason to keep up with his training, his goal was to improve and surpass everyone else until he would have become what every single Saiyan aspires to be; the strongest warrior in the Galaxy and nobody could have been a match for him. But it was a difficult goal.
The Saiyan didn't really take note of Natto's presence, one of his current flaws was his inexperience to sense Ki energy and he knew such a thing could be a problem into several situations. It wasn't the first time he had not noticed someone in his surroundings and usually in such a case, he was the weakest among them.
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as soon as he noticed a humanoid figure that was coming closer on his way, this figure revealing himself more clearly as he came closer while Cornatto didn't move of an inch. "Who is it now?" - he muttered lightly, but it didn't take long for him to realize that he was a Saiyan. While his blank expression didn't show so, he was truly surprised to see a Saiyan wearing such attire in a time like that. Such a thing could point out a Saiyan's membership to the Saiyan Solar Empire and that's what Cornatto had speculated.
Cornatto frowned slightly as he looked at the other Saiyan in front of him, his arms crossed as he spoke. "This is an unexpected surprise, I thought you traditionalists had to stay behind your Queen until sent away as if you were her dogs." - he said, it seems that he had no real friendly feelings towards him as he associated him with the Saiyan traditionalists. "So, what are you doing here?" - he asked, keeping his gaze upon him. Cornatto had not fed any hate towards his own race but to the traditionalists, he felt he should have been careful in case the other Saiyan would have attacked him. While he disliked them, he knew they were usually strong Saiyans regardless of their association.

The spiked hair saiyan finally noticed Natto, folding his arms. He immediately took Natto was a traditionalist member of the Saiyan Solar Empire, and that didn’t even make him flinch: he was quite used to that by now. By the tone of his words, he wasn’t fond of the Empire at all, and that was all good news. Then, he asked what Natto was doing there, and the young saiyan warrior just shrugged, keeping his smirk with the corner of his mouth.
– I like the view… Reminds me of the Central Wasteland of Planet Vegeta, and I can get homesick sometimes… But don’t take me as a member of the Solar Empire, kinsman… I’m not their dog anymore… But yes, I used to be one… - he said, folding his arms and cracking his neck from one side to another, before chuckling a bit. – I know I certainly look like one, though… But I have to say… Those earthling clothes… They do not appeal to me… I would rather use this good and reliable battle suit! At least they are useful for protection, and don’t leave you hanging when you transform, don’t you agree with me on that? – he said in a rather high spirited tone. He didn’t seem to be looking for trouble, at least for the moment. Word Count: 221

Cornatto looked at the other Saiyan carefully, he could not sense his power at all so he couldn't tell if he was weaker or stronger than him, but he knew he should have been careful. Pretty much because unlike Cornatto, Natto seemed to be calm. The Saiyan knew others of his kind but none of them looked like a member of the Solar Empire and such a thing gave a bad impression to him.
But actually, he didn't really seem that hostile and such was confirmed by his words, which the Saiyan was happy and relieved to hear. "I see.. well, I didn't mean to unleash myself against you that way, but I am sure you understand." - he told him before glancing around his surroundings. "So, this place reminds you.. of our homeworld, the Planet Vegeta.." - he said before taking a closer look at the desert in the distance before shifting his gaze at Natto once again. He wasn't born on Vegeta like other Saiyans, so he had never seen his actual homeworld even if he was curious about it. He was tempted to give it a look, but he felt he wouldn't have been well received by the other Saiyans.
"Yeah.. well, I can't really transform myself but I suppose it's useful to you. You still have your tail after all. I doubt mine will grow up once again, how unfortunate, isn't it? The power of a Great Ape would have definitely been useful, but after all I couldn't even control it back then.." - he nodded to himself as he spoke, he had no mastery of his Oozaru form as a child but he didn't think it was of any importance either way. He had lost his tail years ago and he was way too old to grow it back. "Your battle suit's protection is also useful, indeed. I doubt such a suit would appeal to me now, I had one when I was a child but it was broken to pieces. Since then, I've been wearing earthling clothes. They are fine, too bad they can't offer as much protection as a battle suit though." - he said before patting his own chest a few times.
"Anyway, I am Cornatto! What's your name?" - he asked before offering a smile.

Natto nodded, showing that he indeed understood, and then the earthling dressed saiyan looked around in contempt, as if it was his first time noticing that, and it made Natto arch one of his eyebrows; any saiyan could see how close those landscapes were, unles… ”Unless he doesn’t remember Vegeta…” he wondered, but before he could think further on that, the man spoke again, saying he couldn’t transform. That made Natto widens his eyes and indiscreetly looks towards his clutch, seeing no sight of a tail. – Oh… - he exclaimed.
He always got a little sad whenever a fellow saiyan had lost his tail, since it was an inherent part of being a saiyan, a distinguishing feature and the proud of their race. It was annoying hoe many people knew about the importance of the tail, and aimed to server it like it was nothing more than an useless add-on to them. Following that, the man said that even though the battle suit was useful, it didn’t appeal to him, and Natto nodded, smiling in a kind expression.
When he introduced himself, Natto chuckled a bit, putting both his hands on his waist. It was fun how close their names were. – Funny… My name is Natto! Maybe we are related haha! – he joked about it, since he didn’t know anyone from his family other than his parents and brother; saiyans were like that! Most didn’t care about family connections and stuff. – But how would we know, right? – his tone was light and friendly. – But, anyway, Cornatto… What are you doing on this planet? – he asked. Cornatto looked at the other Saiyan curiously, the latter one seemed to be surprised to not see Cornatto's tail, perhaps it wasn't a common thing among the Saiyans. After all, a Saiyan's tail was a symbol of pride and power, while he had lost his own tail, he did not complain about it that much. Unfortunately, the inability to transform into an Oozaru was a hard blow, but he did not feel weaker than an ordinary Saiyan at all.
He widened his eyes as soon as Natto seemed amused, was there an actual reason to? Did he say something funny? He didn't think so. Though, shortly after, Cornatto himself let out a chuckle as he looked at him with an amazed expression. "Really? Hah! That's funny, indeed." - he said before glancing upwards briefly as soon as Natto joked about kinship. Such a thing brought him to think about his lost parents and if he had any family out there. The only thing he had ever called family was underground, buried. "Heh, yeah. Good point." - he said before shifting his gaze at him, offering a smile.
"..On this planet?" - he muttered lightly with a curious tone of voice, but he was not that surprised to hear such a question. After all, Natto was not aware about Cornatto's past, while he had no reason to call Planet Vegeta as his homeworld, he could not deny his heritage. "Well, I was born here. Long story, but.. this planet doesn't really have anything special for me to do here. Training here and there. Or.." - the Saiyan interrupted his own discourse and shook his head lightly.
"Nevermind." - he thought there was one thing that bound him to that planet, it was not about his birthplace but the people he met so far. They were not a lot, but the Saiyan's past was pretty much empty, even more so after his parents died. "And you? I can see why you are not on Vegeta right now, but why on this planet? On Earth?" - he asked, tilting his head lightly.

To his surprise, Cornatto said he was born on Earth. ”Wow! A saiyan born on Earth?! That’s new…” he thought to himself. Then he said that he had nothing better to do on the Blue Marble, other than training, or something else he didn’t really feel like sharing, and Natto wouldn’t push him to say it; they barely knew each other, so it was quite normal to want to hide some things about one’s self.
Then he asked why Natto was on Earth specifically and that made him sighs and scratches the back of his head. His smile frowned and vanished before he started speaking. – Well… That’s a hell of a long story, but I will tell you… I feel I need to be really clear with you, Cornatto, so that I can ask something of you… - he didn’t elaborate much on that part, as he immediately began explaining the reason behind his arrival on Earth. – I used to be a Commander for the Saiyan Solar Empire, as well as its strongest soldier… I was loyal to the Empire and I still love my race with all my heart. However… Months ago, after the Arcosian-Saiyan War that ended with the fall of Arcose due to the use of a horrifying biological weapon, I started having second thoughts whether we were doing the right thing or not… - he paused, frowning his brows further.
– I always believed we were a ruthless race because of being enslaved and abused by other races, such as the tuffles and the arcosians, but the overly cruel actions we took on the siege of Arcose planted a seed of doubt… But I paid no mind to it, and focused on serving my Empire the best I could… Then I found out that one of the Queen’s most trusted advisors was a remnant of the tuffle civilization. I almost killed it in a spur of rage, but the Queen stopped me… - he sighed again, remembering about his attempt of murdering Icarus. – I was very frail emotionally there… And she spoke with me… She used my frailty to convince me she was right and that the earthlings were the real enemy, the spiritual successors of the tuffles… Deep in my heart I didn’t believe those words… But I wanted to believe… I wanted her to be right… No! I wanted the saiyans to be right… And then… - this moment Natto hesitated. He was about to speak about the war, but he wanted to see Cornatto’s reaction first. His heart was beating faster as he got nervous… Remembering the war was unpleasant… Too many people died in vain, and he failed to avoid the death of his best friend and many others.

Cornatto was curious to see Natto's sudden change of expression, he felt things were turning out to be much more serious than what he expected and he could not imagine how serious the truth truly was. Natto didn't give him the best impression at the beginning, but regardless of that, he seemed a reliable person. But, he had just met him and knew only a few things about him so far, he could not imagine anything regarding his past. Though, he felt it would have been clear so enough.
Cornatto kept his gaze upon him, listening to him carefully as he spoke. He was surprised to hear the first part of his discourse, he was not aware about any war between Saiyans and Arcosians. And from there, Cornatto assumed a serious expression as he listened to Natto. To hear an entire planet was destroyed by the Saiyans, it was worrying. The same thing could have happened to the planet Earth after all. The Saiyan raised his eyebrows as he heard about the Tuffle civilization, he could not exactly remember much about what he was told about them but it rang a bell.
It didn't take much to realize Natto's point, he was used by his own Queen. He got nervous to hear such a thing, he clenched his fists tightly while shaking his head lightly. "I don't understand.. how could you not even try to kill her? I see you were loyal to her, but.." - he gritted his teeth as he tried to imagine himself into such a situation, he was not the proudest of all Saiyans but there was a limit to everything. "I would never let her or anyone else control me in such a way.. and I am sure you feel the same way, both of us are Saiyans after all." - he said before letting out a sigh, he didn't feel right about a Saiyan like Natto being used and most especially by another Saiyan. He was relieved that he had not gone through a situation like that.
"It is not your fault for being loyal to a lady with a big title. Anyway, go on. I won't interrupt." - he said, offering a nod as he crossed his arms.

Cornatto’s question made Natto gulp. ”Why didn’t I try to kill Zucceta?... I probably could do it back in Vegeta… And here on Earth, but, still…” that thought sort of haunted him, because part of him did, indeed, want to kill her, but the other just thought it felt completely wrong, and made him ashamed of even considering killing her. If it was due to the now lost loyalty he held, or because she was his kin, he couldn’t yet answer. The other comment made by the saiyan in front of him hurt his pride; he was indeed controlled by many as a member of the Empire, and now that he changed allegiance, it felt really stupid and deprived of pride.
– I can’t give you a good answer about that, Cornatto… I was but a soldier, raised to follow orders in order to protect my people and my home… I… I didn’t question it all that much, because I was convinced our ways were motivated by our sad history… But I was wrong, and now I know it. Still… I don’t like killing saiyans… Even the bad ones… I will do it if I really must, but I would rather not… Call me a fool if you want, but, to me, saiyans lives are more valuable than any other… - he admitted it, sighing afterwards. Then, he continued his explanation, now with the war.
– Anyway… I invaded Earth leading the forces who attacked South Capitol. We faced the Blue Banner Army and there were plenty of casualties and I’m responsible for them, even though I didn’t kill anyone myself and my comrades, save for one of them, also didn’t kill anyone… When… Long story short, the earthlings managed to show me that we were the ones wrong and I forfeited the war and betrayed the Empire… After that, I decided to start over again, here on Earth… - he shrugged, as the decision to stay on Earth could sound really stupid to many. – A lot of people don’t want me here… And I understand them, but I’ve noticed that there are plenty of saiyans here and I’m looking for them. – he chose that sentence to finish his speech, as he wanted the fellow saiyans to have time to digest the heavy load of information. Cornatto listened to Natto carefully, he felt there was a deep story behind all of his words, it was not just blathering for sure. He was surprised about the other Saiyan's mercy towards others of their kind, while his expression didn't show any kind of emotion, he thought it might have been unlikely for him to spare even one of them. Though, admittedly he had never encountered any evil Saiyan and he could not imagine what would have happened. He knew a part of himself would have not hesitated but then? Who would have been the monster?
He let those thoughts slide for the moment, he realized the two Saiyans had grown differently and not in similar environments. He offered a nod, as he kept listening to his speech. At that point, so many informations felt like lots of hammers pounding his head. But he was still capable of following the rest of the speech. "I.. am not really familiar with this Blue Army of sorts and I was estranged from this invasion until I heard about it from a half-breed Saiyan.. but I've seen the results. Not sure what the earthlings are doing to repair their cities right now. While I have not seen the invasion myself, I've flown across some destroyed towns. And as they are now.. they are a mess." - he said, letting out a sigh as he shook his head slowly.
"..And yeah there are lots of Saiyans here. I think I've met.. quite a few! Not sure I get it though, why you are looking for them?" - he asked, looking at him curiously as he wondered about the last part of his speech. He speculated that perhaps he felt lonely among all the Humans living on Earth.
