(Before I begin I would just like to note that I changed Okora's appearance to this as the previous one looked too young to be a
teen.
)
The Forest (Six Months before Saiyan Invasion)
The forest's canopy hung over Okora like an umbrella, doing it's best to shield him from the snow falling from the sky. Yet it did little to stop the white flurry and the ground was soon covered in the frozen substance. Okora couldn't help but smile a little, he had found memories of snow. Back home whenever he was on an off-year from training and it snowed his mother would let him off his studies and allow him to wander in the winter wonderland formed outside his bedroom window. Sometimes his father would join in and they would have intense yet comical snowball fights.
As he thought of his father though, Okora's smile quickly faded. His father was the reason he was out here. He, Noin, had turned cold ever since that day he had lost his arm to the bandits. Okora had always been told since birth by his father that a saiyan's pride was his most treasured thing. If a saiyan were to lose his pride he no longer had the right to put himself among the saiyan's legendary ranks. Okora remember asking his father on multiple occasions if he still had his pride, only to receive silence and a far-away look in his father's eyes as a response, though Okora would always notice a glimmer of hope in them. Now, his father's eyes were dead. He had given up on regaining his pride, and thus no longer considered himself a saiyan. He sat at home alone in his room with the lights off. Most days he spent staring at the ceiling, watching the fan twirl round and round. The house grew quiet and lonely, with his mother not doing much to help. Okora finally reached his breaking point with his father's new attitude and left home to return to the forest in order to defeat the bandits that had broken his father and retake his family's pride.
Okora was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of a distinct crunch nearby. No animal in the forest was heavy enough to make a noise that loud. He whirled around to see a large brute of a man standing nearby. He was wearing a large coat and was slipping on a pair of brass knuckles. Okora sneered, he was one of the bandits. "Oh?! Looks like ya noticed me already then. Shoot, I was hoping I could knock you out quickly and take all ya zeni. Though I'm not sure how much a kid like you would be carrying." The bandit smiled a toothy grin before taking a step towards the teen. Okora smirked, the bandit didn't remember him. Perfect.
The bandit raised his fist to wallop the boy, but before he could see it coming Okora's fist was planted firmly in his gut. The bandit wheezed out and spit flew from his mouth as his eyes bugged out of his head. Okora kept it planted there as he opened up his other hand, forming a golden ball of ki in it. "You are now entering a world of pain. Remember the feeling I'm about to give you. Remember what it felt like to be beaten by a mere child, and remember that as of now you have lost your pride."
And with that said, Okora pulled his fist out of the stunned man's gut and slapped him across the face with his other hand, unleashing the power of the ball of ki while he did. The slap and explosion sent the man flying into a tree which promptly cracked and fell on top of him. Okora heard the man groan and grinned, he hadn't killed the man. Simply subjected him to the same treatment he had given his father. "Hey! Who the hell do you think you are?!" Okora turned as he heard a new voice behind him. The remaining two bandits stood there, shocked expressions on their rugged faces. One of them held a sword in his left hand. Okora's mind flashed back to a night four months ago.
Okora was being held down in the rain by the big brute bandit. He was beaten and bruised and was being forced to watch as the remaining two bandits pummeled on his father. They were laughing at his father's screams of agony when all of the sudden his father let loose a roar of pure rage and grabbed the swordless one by the neck. Continuing to roar, his aura began to turn gold as his hair started to raise. Okora was amazed at his father's show of power and cheered for him, only to have his face slammed into the dirt by the brute. The swordless one tried to escape his father's grip but couldn't as Noin's power level continued to rise. Just as it seemed the swordless one had met his fate, a flash of silver sliced through the air. A moment later, the arm used to choke the bandit was lying on the ground, along with the gasping bandit. Okora's father screamed as his power faded and his aura disappeared, and Okora could only let the tear's well up as he realized the battle was lost.
"Oh good, I thought I was going to have to track you two down. Thanks for doing my work for me." Okora said as he got into a fighting stance. A surprise attack wouldn't work on these two, and they looked stronger than before. Okora figured that he might have to use all of his power to defeat both of them. He slid his feet apart and raised his hands in front of him, getting into a fighting stance. The one with the sword growled and spun his sword in front of him a few times before holding in diagonally in front of his face. The bandit without a sword simply got into a crane stance. Okora let loose a yell as he flared his green aura and flew towards his opponents. Okora began a fast-pace exchange of blows with the swordless one while using his peripheral vision to keep the one with the sword in sight.
The blow exchange ended with the two colliding fists. They growled at each other and both charged up a ki blast in their other hand before firing them point-blank into each other. The subsequent explosion sent them both flying back. The bandit put his feet out and spring-boarded off a tree trunk launching himself full speed at the young hybrid. Okora continued to fly back as he put his hands together, making a diamond shape in between them. "Sapopokaaaa!" He yelled as a beam of green energy flew from his hands and hit the bandit. The beam pushed the bandit back through the tree and finally into the snow. The bandit didn't get back up though Okora knew his attack wasn't enough to kill the bandit.

A searing pain flared up in Okora's back as he screamed into the snowy night. Blood fell from the deep cut the sword wielding bandit had just placed on Okora's back, staining the shining white below a deep red. "Alright kid, ya dealt with the two weaklings. Now here's a real test. Dear lord you better have a million zeni on ya to make this worth it!" Okora whirled around to face the swordsman and immediately dodged his cross-cut at his head by ducking and rolling backwards, coming up on his feet only to immediately begin dodging the fast paced strikes from the swordsman. A few glancing blows struck Okora and cuts opened up on his arms, legs, and chest. He grunted and flared his energy and focused on his attacker's blade, catching it on the next strike by slapping his two palms on either side of the flat sides. Grinning and with a slight yell Okora forced his hands inwards and broke the blade in two. The swordsman sneered and dropped the broken weapon, raising up his fists and smirking. "You passed the first part kid, but get ready to fail..." He said with an egotistical smirk that made Okora's anger flare even higher. How dare this man think himself stronger than the one who had beaten his two friends! "You scum! I'll make you pay!" Okora lunged forward with his fist extended, only to find that he was a mere image of his opponent. "Wha- what the..." "Dodon Ray!"
Okora whirled around but was powerless to stop the thin beam that penetrated the right side of his chest. The teenager fell to his knees in agony as he coughed up blood. The remaining bandit laughed and walked up to Okora. He placed an open palm in front of the boy's face and began to charge up a ki-blast to end the boy's life. Okora looked down at the snow, unable to stare death in the face. That's when he saw his father's disapproving face. A true saiyan warrior would never accept defeat so easily. His rage reaching a peak, Okora grabbed the bandit's wrist with lighting fast speed and screamed. His green aura flared wildly around him as he tightened his grip on his opponent's wrist. The bandit screamed in pain as his bones eventually snapped. Okora stood and continued to break more bone's in his opponent's wrist. His power level had nearly quadrupled as some hidden power emerged. The swordsman fell to his knees as tears welled up in his face. "If I ever hear of you or your buddies attacking and stealing from anyone EVER again, I will kill all three of you! Understand punk?!" Okora yelled with a growl. The swordsman could only nod as the pain he was experiencing prevented him from speaking. Okora then delivered a hard punch to the man's face and knocked him out cold. His power level quickly falling, Okora let go of the unconscious bandit's wrist and almost fell into the snow as the full extent of his injuries became known to his body. He coughed up more blood as he slowly rose into the air.
Okora had to hurry back home before he succumbed to his injuries. Weakly flaring his energy, he began to fly at the fastest speed he could manage. Soon, he saw lights though they were quickly becoming blurry. In a few seconds he felt something glass-like shatter around him and heard a woman scream, then Okora blacked out.
Okora awoke in a black void. In front of him stood his father with his back turned. Okora smiled and ran up behind his father, hugging him. Daddy! I defeated those filthy bandits! I restored our pride!" In response, his father turned around and slapped him, stunning Okora. Strangely, the boy felt no pain. His father's rough voice began to speak. "You've done nothing of note. You defeated three bandits and didn't even bother to learn their names. Pathetic, a true warrior honors his opponents with an exchange of names. You've brought no pride to me, or to this family. Do not return until you can truly say that you are a saiyan warrior..."
(Satan City, Six Months Later, Post-Saiyan Retreat)
Okora truly awoke in a hospital bed. He gasped as he sat up, tearing out the IV the nurses had stuck inside of him and ripping off the breathing mask. Breathing heavily, the hybrid looked around the room. Balloons were next to him, the words "Get Well Soon" written on them with a note attached to the string reading "Love, Grandpa and Grandma Freid". At first confused, Okora quickly figured out what had happened. Before passing out, he had flown into a window in Satan City before entering a coma. For how long was the question he needed answering. "Nurse?!" He called out as he got off the bed. Okora grinned as he clenched his fists and looked down at himself. He felt stronger than ever. A green dogi lay draped across a chair next to the door, obviously a gift from his mother. Taking off his gown and putting on his dogi, Okora practiced a few punches and kicks to test his new power. He then thought of his dream. It was true, he hadn't even bothered to get the names of those he had beaten. What kind of warrior didn't even know his opponent's name? Even though his real father hadn't actually said it, Okora decided he wasn't returning home until he truly reclaimed his family's pride.
Smiling a little and taking a breath, Okora opened the door to the hospital room with a new goal in life. He had yet to notice that the nurse he had called for hadn't appeared yet. Okora gasped as he viewed what lay on the other side. The rest of the hospital had been destroyed, turned into a crater. Below him, laying on what used to be the bottom floor of the hospital was a giant ape in Saiyan Armor. A horrified expression took over his face as he viewed the rest of the damaged city. Three words left the hybrid's mouth.
"What the hell?"
